Recurring Instance Issue

I have been working for almost 2 years on Coldfusion
multi-server environments at my current position. I have on
numerous occasions needed to recreate existing instances or create
new ones from scratch. I have found that some, if not most of those
times I get an error from Coldfusion saying that: "The
request has exceeded the allowable time limit Tag:
cfoutput". I found in Adobe that these means that one of
the last steps of the instance creation process could not be
completed before the Request Timeout amount set in the CF
Administrator. This issue goes away when I uncheck the option in CF
Admin only to manifest another equally vague exception. Now the
debugger tells me that:
ColdFusion could not delete the file
"...\cfusion\SERVER-INF\temp\cfusion-war-tmp\F4E57611-1143-D300-B0C7CE698A63C3E3\cfu sion.ear\cfusion.war\WEB-INF\cfusion\lib\cfusion.jar"
for an unknown reason.
I believe that this is a locking issue in which for some
"unknown reason" a lock is not being released,
preventing the deletion of the file.
This has happened numerous times on different boxes for no
apparent reason.
If anybody can shed some light on this topic, I would greatly
appreciate it.

Are you running a virusscanner on the server?

Rescheduling recurring instances does not retain original recurrence times

Hello,
Our environment is BO XI 3.1 SP3 with Fix Pack 3.5 installed. The platform is Windows Server 2008 R2.
Issue: When rescheduling an existing recurring instance, the original recurrence times is not retained and defaults to local server time.. It seems like when you initially recheduled a recurring instance and you try to re-reschedule it, the recurrence time is retained. But, when you come back to the recurring instance the next day, it defaults to current local server time.
The original proposed solution by SAP was to install Fix Pack 3.5. We did that and it still causing these issues.
Has anyone seen this behavior before? If so, how do we resolve this? If not, what's the ramifications to un-install fix pack 3.5 and re-installing it? This is on our production environment so I wouldn't want to lose any data in CMS by re-installing software.

Recurring Instances not scheduling on their own after SP4 installation

We have installed the BO XI R2 SP4 2 days ago. Some of the recurring instances are not scheduling on its own.
Environment : Clustered - 3 servers with CMS running on 2 servers.
We did not do the install live. We disabled/stopped all the services befor the install.
Help needed urgently.

I think this is a known issue with SP4 and has been fixed in FP 4.4. You can install FP 4.4 on top of SP4, that should resolve this issue, if not I would suggest open a ticket with support.

Recurring permissions issue - Notes & Mail crash

I have a recurring permissions issue that seemingly ONLY happens after both Mail & Notes crash - and iMessage fails to message.
I can try to copy a file, it warns me I don't have permission. I can open, but not save to origina same finger wag from the OS. This is true with any application - not just any 'iCloud' related.
iMessage also stops responding.
I repair permissions in Disk Utility, and then have to restart the computer and all's good -for awhile anyway.
I also have to resign into iMessage and when I do I get the little notices that "XYZ is using iMessage" on all my iDevices. Ugh. This seemingly goes on forever....
Oddly, it seems to happen after I disconnect from my external t-bolt display. I do eject any external disks accordingly, and then when I open the MacBook, it crashes the above.
Rinse & repair perminssions.
It seems to even do this when I go the other way and connect to the display.
I did have a crash recently, that went into a full restore of the system. I just have to doubt that had anything to do with it.
But I find it strange that iCloud seems to be the start because only applications using that (Mail, Notes & iMessage) crash and send the rest of the system into a funk.
Any thoughts?

Back up all data now.
This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership and access-control lists to the default. If you've set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it.
Step 1
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Drag or copy — do not type — the following line into the Terminal window, then press return:
sudo chflags -R nouchg,nouappnd ~ $TMPDIR.. ; sudo chown -R $UID:20 ~ $_ ; chmod -R -N ~ $_ 2> /dev/null
Be sure to select the whole line by triple-clicking anywhere in it. You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning not to screw up. You don't need to post the warning. If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before you can run the command.
The command will take a noticeable amount of time to run. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign (“$”) to appear, then quit Terminal.
Step 2
Boot into Recovery by holding down the key combination command-R at startup. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.
When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select Utilities ▹ Terminal from the menu bar. A text window opens.
In the Terminal window, type this:
resetpassword
That's one word with no spaces. Then press return. A Reset Password window opens. You’re not going to reset a password.
Select your boot volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Under Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs, click the Reset button.
Select  ▹ Restart from the menu bar.

Recurring quality issues with HP Elitebook 6930p

Good afternoon to all forumers,
I am trying to find out if anyone besides me have the same recurring quality issues with HP Elitebook 6930p? Although these issues have all been resolved by HP. I find it very inconvenient since this is a business notebook and these issues have cause me a lot of down time and grievances. A list of my Elite book issues.
Warped LCD panel causing the latch not to work. (1 time)
Dead pixels on new LCD panel replacement (1 time).
Deteriorated touch pad rubber left button, which I don't use. (1 time)
Keyboard not working. (2 times)
Screw holding the top sdie switch panel came off on one corner. Reason being, the screw holder cracked (1 time).
Reading lack cover on the LCD panel cracked on its own. I rarely use this. (1 time).
Notebook overheating. The cooling element not working properly. (1 time).
Defective power adapter, loose contact at adapter (1 time). Replaced within warranty period.
I do not know whether to term this as` unlucky' or to say that today's HP business notebook has not got the `Quality' a business notebook should have. I have used other business notebook from HP, namely 2 models from the nx series but they are not as bad as the Elitebook except for the same high operating temperature issue.
Is there any course of action that I can take up with HP Malaysia? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I heard that many of the issues you and the others that posted were improved/fixed by HP later on in production. My notebook was built in December of 2010, so it was pretty much the last of the line.
I have not experienced any problems with mine thus far, after 8 months of light use. I have tested every component at least once. I know the latch issue was fixed on later models.

ICal + Exchange 2007 - recurring events issues

Hi all
Not sure if this has been brought up before, couldn't find anything on the boards.
Anyway, our client has 20 macbook pros all running OS 10.6.2. They also have an Exchange 2007 server (previously they had a 2003 exchange server and were using entourage).
The problem they appear to be having is when creating a recurring event they invite selected users but the invites either don't get through or upon accepting the invite it doesn't show up in the other user's calendar. I've heard there are some issues with iCal and recurring events - is this true or does anyone know a way to fix this?

Microsoft outlook recurring appointment issue on iphone

In Outlook 2007 or Outlook 2010, when creating a new recurring calendar event on the 2nd weekday of every month, the dates come out wrong on the iphone (event is shifted on iphone to 1st weekday of the first full week of the month)
Is there any fix for this?

I started to see this problem a couple of weeks ago. Until then for a few months I had not have any issue.
I found a solution here. The problem in your case is likely the sync between Outlook and Exchange Server.

When I tried to sync Deleted Items folder, I found it was not synching, and found large deleted email (20MB) probably stuck. I manually deleted it, then started synchronizing.
Now, deleted mail on Outlook is automatically deleted on my iPhone!! :-)

How to identify recurring instance of a report using Query Builder

I am having a report scheduled for four different set of parameters. I want to identify the instances pertaining to each schedule. I tried the last successful instance but it gives only the last instance detail.

Use the following query in the query builder
SELECT
SI_NAME, SI_SCHEDULEINFO.SI_STARTTIME
FROM
CI_INFOOBJECTS
WHERE
SI_RECURRING = 1
SI_NAME: The recurring report name.
SI_SCHEDULEINFO.SI_STARTTIME: The date and time the report is scheduled to run next.
The query above will return all the recurring reports .

ICal + Exchange 2007 Recurring events issue

When creating a recurring event in OUTLOOK (on Windows) the following happens in my iCal.
1. The first instance is placed at the right time and day.
2. The first recurrence happens at the right time on the FOLLOWING day.
3. Remaining recurrences happen as per the repeat cycle (weekly etc) based upon the first recurrence.
I.E. adding a repeating event on TUES@0900 result in the following events in iCal (TUES@900, WED@900, repeating event every folloiwng WED@0900).
In every other application i use to view the calendar it works fine (Outlook, Entourage, Web-based) just in iCal the event is out.
Anyone seen this. I have not been able to find reference to this one.

Recurring Appointment Issue Part II

I've read all the postings on issues with getting recurring appointments on the iPhone; I've just gotten my phone and have all the latest software updates so I haven't had any problems getting them on.
I am however having problems with the iPhone syncing up changes to one occurance of a recurring meeting.
Any recommendations? Help?

ALBPM application Instance Issues

Experiencing issue with albpm server running two albpm instances. The issue happens when you bounce one of the weblogic servers and you continue to have the other running normally. We bounce the server because the wl instance was not responding with the following exceptions:
Exception1: Seen in the weblogic logs

Recurring template issue

I have a constantly recurring problem with a template I am using which is based on an old version. When I add new pages, the old footer and header appears even though I have deleted the template from the ... (I've lost the location of my pages templates so need help with that to!) ... definitely have deleted it though. This also causes issues when saving as a review message comes up saying it can't find a CMYK file used in the old footer and header and then says the document can't be saved, very annoying! Any ideas out there?

I suggest that you use the old, phantom, template to create a new custom template. Before saving the new custom template, Copy and Paste and Match Style into a new Blank Template, make Header and Footer edits, etc.
Maybe the new template will behave better.

Oracle singleton instance issue with OCIStmtFetch()

i am folowing a singletom pattern in my VC++ application were only one Oracle instance is created and it is being used through out the application. The OCIStmtFetch() is used twice in the application and when the OCIStmtFetch() is invoked for the second time it returns a OCI_NO_DATA condition. But when i created a new instance of Database use it to invoked the OCIStmtFetch() for the second time it gives a proper result. please can some one help me on why the singleton DBinstance is causing issue with the OCIStmtFetch() for the second time.

when clicked on the just completed application I get the following error popped up as

'default/QuoteProcessLab!1.1*soa_80....b/RequestQuoteLab'.
Please correct me where I am wrong. How the Instance Process is created after successful deployment of application.
Please Advice ASAP as I need to get this resolved by today evening.
