Redeploy BPM Biz Ops?

Hi, is anyone dynamically redeploying code (EJB or otherwise) that implements BPM
business operations without restarting the WLI server? I'm getting a worrisome
stack trace the way that I did it (even though it seems to work, so far):
As far as I could tell, code (even if it's an EJB) that gets called by BPM has
to be in the BPM application, and that application won't reload unless it's an
EAR in the config/domain/applications directory, so I took all of the WLPI jars
and put them in an EAR with my EJB jars. This all works great until I recompile,
at which point weblogic tries to restart the app and generates a huge pile of
exceptions that look like the one pasted below. I'm guessing this is because there
are existing instances of classes that don't like the newly-loaded classes (even
though they're identical). Is that right? Is it harmless? What is the right
way to do redeploy business operations?

Hi! It's not a bug....I guess. The problem is in ADF form from older version SOA Suite in what OnBoarding process was created. To fix this just recreate UIs apps in HumanWorkflow configure page in JDev (use automatic). Then configure UCM: Webcenter UCM Integration PS5 | James Smith's Blogs

    I can see the location of the OracleBPMWorkspace EAR to be at - <MiddleWareHome>/Oracle_SOADEV/ soa/ applications/ OracleBPMWorkspace. ear
    You can try Installing this deployment from the Admin console by using the "Install" button

  • Deploy BPM application and keep all data of old tasks

    Hi all,
    Currently, whenever i redeploy bpm application to weblogic server, all tasks information saved in database will be changed (the value of state attribute will be changed to 9). So i think it's not good in Production environment. I want to configure to keep all data of old tasks whenever deploy again.
    Does anyone knows the solution for this ?

    Do you mean when you re-deploy the BPM composite application?
    Do you overwrite the older version of the composite or deploy as a new version?
    If you deploy a newer version, your existing task information should remain as it is otherwise it'll change to stale...

  • Linking a library to a list - filtering data per selected drop down / check box item

    Good day,
    I am rather new to SharePoint and have run into a dilemma. Is it possible to link a library to a list, then create a parent-child relationship between the the department (list) to document (library)? 
    Example - I have a library that contains 100+ documents, the library is filtered using groups/subgroups. 
    IT
     -> IT TX (30 docs)
     -> IT WI (10 docs)
    Biz Ops 
     -> Biz Ops WI (8 docs)
     -> Biz Ops CA (5 docs)
    In the list I created I have departments as a required field, and a dropdown tool that shows the 5 departments that contain items that need to be grouped together. (Biz Ops, IT, HR, Sales, and Compliance)
    I have linked the library of documents to the form (list), using "Lookup (information already on this site)". All the documents in the library appear in the selection box within the list. However is it possible to first select a department which
    then filters documents only tied to said department? So at the beginning of the list you choose the department you wish to browse the documents, then it filters out all documents not related to that department?

    According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to filter the corresponding documents from a Document Library when you selected a department in a List.
    I recommend that you can follow the steps as below to implement it in your environment.
    1. Create a new Web Part Page and add the Document Library and the List web part into it.
    2. Click the List web part, click the current web part’s drop-down arrow, choose Connections, Send Row of Data To, and then choose the Document Library web part.
    3. Click the Document Library web part, choose the “All Items” view from the Selected View, click the current web part’s drop-down arrow, choose Connections, Get Filter Values From,
    and then choose the List web part.
    4. Open the Configure Connection – Webpage Dialog, choose the “Department” column from the Provider Field Name drop-down list and choose the “Group” column from the Consumer Field
    Name drop-down list.
    5. Click Apply, OK button, save the Web Part Page and test it in your environment.

  • BPM 10g Does passwd change of BPM Database require redeployment of Engine?

    We have changed passwds for BPM Schemas. We have updated Weblogic data sources for BPM accordingly.
    Is this enough or this will require redeployment of engine?

    You need to change Directory DB Schema Password through Admin center and Engine DB Schema through Proccess Adminstrator. and then recreate & redeploy Engine ear and other ears.

  • BPM for Weblogic configuration is failed

  • Error in redeploy to 9iAS 9.0.2 from jDev 9.0.3.1

    I've been trying to follow the howto on using jDev to deploy portal applications. ( http://portalstudio.oracle.com/pls/ops/docs/FOLDER/COMMUNITY/PDK/ARTICLES/BUILD.JAVA.PORTLETS.USING.JDEVELOPER.V2.HTML )
    I made it through the first part OK and deployed (through remote DCM) a sample servlet that I can browse to and it functions.
    Now I want to re-deploy the app with an updated servlet, adding more functionality. The deployment fails with little information. The deployment log reads:

    If I can see the .ear file through the Enterprise Manager. If I try to make any changes to the application or attempt to undeploy it I get the following error messege:
    "An error occured while undeploying the application. This Oracle9iAS instance is not in sync with the repository, cannot do further configuration and deployment changes."
    I can still deploy new applications but it seems that once they are out on the 9iAS server I cannot delete or modify them!!!
    In summary I need to figure out the problem redeploying/deleting applications before I take the next step and make the application a portlet.

    If it's failing trying to undeploy with Enterprise Manager, you should repost this in the iAS forum to see if someone more familiar with the internals can help with this.

  • BAM / BPM integration (11.1.1.2.0)

    Hi all,
    I'm trying to integrate 'BPM instances with BAM Reports.
    I have done all the initial works (BAM credentials in application server, Clear DisableActions, Creating Business indicators, etc )
    When I invoke the BPM incident from bpm/workspace it doesn't reflect in the BAM Reports. What will be the issue with this???
    I have created the BAM data object inside the /Samples/Monitor Express folder.
    I have no clear idea on how BPM data will map to the BAM fields.
    My SOA version is 11.1.1.2.0 (PS2)
    I'm able to integrate BPEL instances with BAM. And able to create BAM reports with values.

    I have not tried this but had come across the steps to do so which people claimed should work -
    1.     Verify that Monitor Express has been imported into BAM (Action may not be necessary):
    The existing FMW_HOME/AS11gR1SOA/bam/samples/bam/monitorexpress/README.txt file details on importing Monitor Express samples.
    2.     Enable BAM on the BPM Server via Enterprise Manager (Task 2: [Enable Oracle BAM on the Oracle BPM Server|http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21764_01/integration.1111/e10226/bpmn_config.htm#CBDBIIID] )
    3.     Enable Monitoring for the process via jdev.
    Select the BPM Project -> Right click and select Project Preferences -> Process Analytics Summary -> Data Targets -> Enable BAM , Cubes ,
    BAM Adapter JNDI Name -> eis/bam/rmi
    Select "In Batch"
    Data Object Path -> /Sample/MonitorExpress
    4.     Redeploy your process.

  • How to set a base64binary to hexBinary in BPM process

    I've the following scenario:
    I need to insert a binary from a BPM process to database using a data access web service implemented with ADF Service Interface. In the process a binary value is treated like xsd:base64binary while the ADF web service treats binary values as xsd:hexBinary. Inside my BPM process I got a service task making a service call to the data access webservice and invoking an InsertPhoto method. During the process I obtain the image (as a binary) I want to insert in the database and, using associations, I map the image value to the binary field required as input for the insert method. There's no error during the implementation but after deploy and test the process I got the following error, asociated to the service task:

    Done. The solution was just go to the ADF web service schema definition (xsd), look for the InsertPhoto method message and change the type of Image (the binary field) from "hexBinary" to "base64Binary" and redeploy the web service application.

    I installed JDEV 11.1.1.6,UCM,RCU,weblogic & soa.
    I created a simple application in BPM with one use case.
    and i configured UCM,soa & weblogic.

    Check your $DOMAIN_HOME/config/fmwconfig/system-jazn-data.xml. Search for WF-ADMIN-USER.
    Check the jar name at the begining of grant elem. It has a typo in the path. It should oralce.soa.workflow
    instead of oralce.bpm.workflow. Make this change and restart the server. This bug was fixed just before
    GA release.
    The above are the steps i followed.
    I deployed the BPM application and i am getting attachment options like :
    Upload to UCM
    Attcahment from UCM
    I am selecting Upload to UCM
    but i am getting below errors:
    Content item '(null)' was not successfully checked in. Content account is not defined. Unable to validate user security.
    Error occurred while inserting a task attachment record.
    Error occurred while inserting attachment change in soa file.txt for task 77a010b3-64ec-49f8-b2e2-211c11f3232f.
    Check the underlying exception and the database connection information. If the error persists, contact Oracle Support Services.
    Can you please look into this issue and provide me needful steps to make me succeed in this integration.

    The current integration between BPM and WCC (WebCenter Content, or UCM) is very easy to configure. Should you have already a VM with BPM, just:
    - install WCC and extend the domain with Content Server. If possible, run new managed server in same machine and leave all ports as default (16200 and 4444) so that you don't even need to setup BPM for UCM as it's already configured OOTB with default IDC port (4444).
    - Enable Folders_g in the new UCM managed server (requires restart of UCM's server).
    - Enable a Human Task with "Use Document Package". If it's a project converted from a pre-PS4FP installation, rebuild the Human Task Form.
    - Redeploy and that should do the trick.

  • Process is not visible in BPM Workspace in Application panel

    Hi all,
    BPM/SOA Suite 11g
    DB Oracle 10gR2
    I have created and deployed successfully a BPM process following instructions at http://st-curriculum.oracle.com/obe/fmw/obpm/11g/r1/firstProcess/firstprocess_obpm11g.htm
    i have seeded the demo community with no issues. Process roles has been mapped as well but i am not able to see any process in the BPM Workspace. later i mapped the user to simple weblogic user instead of jcooper and re-deployed my process but still not able to see the results.
    tutorials said that
    Note: If the HelloWorldProcess v1.0 link does not appear in the Applications panel on the Tasks tab, click the Process Tracking tab. It should appear there. You can instantiate the process from that tab.but this also not worked for me
    any ideas what could be the issue? i have searched this forum but no successful solution EM doesnt allow to mapp roles in the security section in OracleBpmProcessRolesApp
    or
    do we can any other way to run and test the process ?

    That would help to ensure that the composite is deployed correctly. From EM navigate to the SOA folder and then soa-infra->default. That will list the deployed composites and the default version.

  • Adding weblogic.jar in BPM enterprise 10.3.1

    Hi I am loking to add weblogic.jar file into enterprise I have added jar file in enterprise_home/lib folder but it is not recognizing from there can anybody suggest where is the exact place.
    If I am adding as an external resource in studio and trying deploy the exp file it is saying The attachment size exceeds the allowable limit of 10000000 bytes.
    in the process admistrator.
    Please help me it is urgent.

    Hi YE,
    If you are deploying BPM on a Weblogic Server you'll find your workspace on the following url
    http://localhost:7001/workspace
    This is because the all the jar services are deployed to the WLS. You can monitor if it is installed by going into the Process administrator -> Engines -> J2EE jar deployment (or something)
    There you'll find all the jars that are/can be deployed. If you make any changes using the BPM admin center configuration don't forget to recreate and redeploy the jar file.

  • BPM - BPE_ADAPTER : Unknown message Type

    Hello Experts,
    I am developing a simple BPM scenario with just one receive and one send step. I have configured bothl the BPM steps along with the container elements and verified the objects in IR and ID. In SXI_CACHE the status of teh Integartion Process is '0' which is the correct. I tried reactivationg and redeploying the process several times too, yet message in PI faile with the below error description:

    In that case, delete the ID part for this scenario and redo the objects....from importing the IP into ID.
    If still not working then the BPM itself has to be recreated.
    If all the messages are properly configured in the BPM and still it is giving the error then it is a CACHE issue.
    I hope the BPM is just for practice purpose and not related to any project...as the design does not require to have a BPM

When you add new Roles, Users to Roles etc from JDev and Deploy it, ONLY for the first time deployment, all these information is added to the Workspace and you can see it in Admin tab of workspace. You should see them in one of the tables of soainfra like BPM_CUBE_ROLE like that. The point is, after first deployment, when you add more users to the same Role, they will not be reflected in Workspace. I guess this was Designed intentionally to avoid overwriting of users with every redeployment. The only way to add more Users or Edit Users for Each Role is from the bpm/workspace application with adminstrator Role.
    This makes sense also. Beacause when we develop any BPM Application, all we consider is the Roles names called as Studio Roles (or Swimlanes etc). They are just dummy and virutal Roles. We add all Tasks for each Role. Thats it. Then you Deploy them. And only in Workpace, we map these dummy studio Roles to the real Users from the Security Providers of that SOA/BPM Domain like from default seucrity provider or any external configured AD LDAP etc.
    Unless there is a very strong reason, I would not recommend to add Users/Groups etc to the Studio Roles in the JDeveloper itself. Worst case, after you deploy it, if you see any discrepencies, just delete the Roles from workspace admin. Redeploy your bpm app and it will create the new Roles.

  • Problem about Organization Unit and Role in BPM

    Hi,
    I am developing BPM project which have some roles and will be deployed for many organization. In JDev, I want to assign users to each role and organization and when the project is deployed to WorkSpace, each user in specify org can only manipulate with his task (other user can not visible). I tried configure in Jdev and WorkSpace but it is working incorrecttly
    I used BPM, Jdev 11g.
