Redirect help

I have a servlet that gets submited to, and it will send out an email. Some time it take longer than usual so I want the servlet to be able to display a message like "Please wait...", then once the email is sent the servlet will redirect them.
How can I do the above and is it possible?

You can use a basic browser behavior to achieve this. Have you ever noticed that when you click on a link or submit a page, the browser keeps the same page content until it gets the data for the result page. You can make use of the same property to display a wait page.
What you can do is to create a wait page and when you submit your initial request, suBmit it through the wait page (or redirect the control to the wait page thro the servlet). The wait page then will keep displaying the message until the servlet returns with results.

I am not quite sure what web part do you want to change, could provide a screenshot or detailed information for me?
Besides, if you want to change the URL of a link, you could use jQuery code as below to accomplish your requirement(add the code into a Content Editor Web Part in the page):

How to redirect Help link for iview not for portal masterhead

Could someone please let me know how to post help document to the help link in the iview? It is located at the top left corner within the iview. This is not to redirect the portal masterhead. Thanks.

Rogue Redirect HELP Please!

I have designed and implemented a scroll page with a Lightbox Image Gallery a couple of weeks ago. When it went live it acted just fine. Everything worked as it should have. Now, regardless of browser (and even in muse preview), when a thumbnail image is clicked it pops up for one second then redirects to a (non site) page. The non site page is from a "source" embeded video (at the top of the page).
I have checked all of the thumbnail links to make sure no inadvertent changes nor extraneous links were made and yet it always redirects.
Below is a link ot the page and the embed code. Maybe a keen eye can spot the problem or it is some type of bug.

Like I said, no problems at all until this morning.
UPDATE: I took the embed out and it did not redirect. I tried other embed code and it worked fine. It's a bug with the embed code. Help would be greatly appreciated.

I "fixed" it. It was something in the embed code. Not sure exactly what since I didn't see a redirect of any type. BUT that is definitely a bug in Muse. An embed should not affect a Lightbox Gallery! I can't even imagine how it would?

Multi upload redirect help

hi,
i know addt is discontinued. but it is a great tool.
can anyone help with being able to specify a redirect to a page using the multi upload and save to database?
it just goes to the page you are on and there is no way of specifying a redirect.
i hope there is a way of manually changing it but so far my attempts have failed.

First thing to do : use the correct terminology.
Given what you wrote, I guess that you are in fact writing about tables, not sheets but I'm not 100% sure.

Business catalyst, muse and 301 redirects - help!

I have uploaded my muse website to business catalyst, using the free hosting service that adobe gives to CC subscribers.
However, under site manager, it only gives me two option (web forms and emails) and no ability to do url redirects etc.
Can anyone help? I urgently need to set up my 301 redirects

.htaccess redirect - help me php masters!

I created some links incorrectly, links that can not be
changed. My only hope is to redirect them to the correct pages
using htaccess but I can't seem to figure it out. Heres what I need
to do...
Redirect:
http://www.mysite.com/index.php?action=products&id=1723
To:
http://www.mysite.com/index.php?action=products&id=1723
Notice the "&" in the first url vs "&" in the
second one.
I tried this but its not working:
Redirect permanent /index.php?action=products&id=1723
http://www.mysite.com/index.php?action=products&id=1723
Any help would be greatly appriciated.

Hi I just recently upgraded to windows 10 from windows 7. In this process I lost my redirect settings for my help desk which is installed on my local pc. Can someone point me in the right direction. Right now my help desk works with my custom url however it has to include the port number. I do not have IIS installed on windows 10. I believe previously in windows 7 I had IIS and was using Helicon rewrite to do this. I just forget the step to do this. Right now it works with myurl.com:9675 i want this to work with just myurl.com and no port number.

Redirect help please

I am making a flash site and am trying to have a link which redirects to another site. The problem is the redirect address has an e with the accent ' above it. When I copy the link directly into flash, it converts it to code in the URL bar. How do I make the link in flash so that it keeps it as an accented letter in the URL bar? Thank you for your time.

TS3320 "Could not open the page, too many http redirects HELP!!

When i click on a movie on the itunes app it says it cannot open because of too many http redirects. How do i fix this?

Read this whole message before doing anything.
Back up all data.
Quit iTunes if it’s running.
Step 1
Hold down the option key and select
Go ▹ Library
from the Finder menu bar. Move the following items from the Library folder to the Trash (either may not exist):
Caches/com.apple.iTunes
Caches/QCCompositionRepository-com.apple.iTunes.cache
Saved Application State/com.apple.iTunes.savedState
Leave the Library folder open. Try iTunes again. If it works now, stop here. Close the Library folder.
Step 2
If you still have problems, quit iTunes again. Go back to the Finder and move the following item from the open Library folder to the Desktop:
iTunes
Note: you are not moving the iTunes application. You’re moving a folder named “iTunes.”
Test. If iTunes now works, delete the iTunes folder on the Desktop. Otherwise, quit iTunes again. Put back the folder you moved, overwriting the newer one that may have been created in its place, and continue.
Step 3
In the Preferences subfolder, there may be several files having names that begin with either of the following strings:
com.apple.iTunes
com.apple.mobile.iTunes
Move them all to the Desktop.
Also in the Preferences folder, there's a subfolder named "ByHost". Open it and do the same thing.
Test again. This time iTunes should perform normally, but your settings will be lost. You may be able to put back some of the files you moved to the Desktop in this step. Relaunch and test after each one. Eventually you should find one or more that causes iTunes to malfunction. Delete those files and recreate whatever settings they contained.
If the issue is still not resolved, quit iTunes again and put all the items you moved to the Desktop back where they were. You don’t need to replace the items you moved to the Trash. Stop here and post again.
If you later decide that you don’t like the results of steps 2 and 3, you can undo them completely by quitting iTunes and restoring the items you deleted in those steps from your backup.

Webform and Redirect Help Needed

I have a site in development with 25 pages, of those 5 are only accessible if you fill in a form and each form will be slightly different on each of the 5 pages. I have no issues with setting up the forms. My issue is this. If I fill in any one form on any of the 5 pages it needs to remove the form(s) from the other 4 pages. So essential unlock the content that is being protected by the form(s). Any insight would be appreciated.

Microsoft Help Viewer with VS2015

I have been experimenting with the "F1 Support" feature of the "Microsoft Help Viewer SDK." My first attempts went very well. Simply by
setting the "VendorContent" registry key and adding my namespace to the "Partner" registry key, I was able to use F1 and redirect help for all my interfaces, structs, enums etc to my website. With a bit of PHP work on my website to
parse the string, a redirect sent the request where it needed to go.
That's the good news.
The bad news came when I tried to press F1 on an interface *method*. Apparently VS is seeing the interface in this context as another namespace. And since I had only added a single key for my namespace, VS was not seeing the matching key in the
registry, and was defaulting back to MSDN. If I add an additional registry key ("namespace.interfacename"), then the methods work correctly too.
This can't be how this is intended to work, can it? I've got a couple hundred interfaces that I would need to add. And that's just for my projects. If other people are using this, there could be thousands of entries in this registry key.
This is particularly painful since "sub" namespaces aren't done with sub registry keys. *Everything* goes in "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Help\vx.x\Partner".
Tell me I'm missing something here.

Dreamweaver Form Won't Submit- Says Error page cannot be displayed

I believe my it guys have php on their server. When I look on the internet
to try and use the form to test it, I get the error:
The website cannot display the page
HTTP 500
Most likely causes:
The website is under maintenance.
The website has a programming error.
What you can try:
Refresh the page.
Go back to the previous page.
