This is regarding IOS.. I am creating an app and need to connect two user interfaces vis an UIButton. How can i do it??? Is it possible in XCode or do i have to do it using Interface Builder???

To learn iOS developpment I think that the best solution is to begin with Apple Sample.

Opening a url in new window using a button after running a process

I need the folowing to happen:
When a button is clicked, a process runs - updates a table in the DB. then a URL opens in a new window.
I created the process and related it to the button - click of the button makes it work.
If I write in the button properties the URL - optional URL redirect:
javascript:popupURL( 'http://www.mysite.com');
the process does not run. url opens in new window.
If I create a branch - writing there javascript:popupURL( 'http://www.mysite.com'); the process works but URL does not open. only writing http://www.mysite.com works - but it does not open a new window.
The question is: how can I click on a button, make a process run and URL opens in a new window?

If you post your page, then the browser must go some place. You can post your page (say page 1), you can then branch to page 2, then the js on page 2 can open a new window. Once you post your page you must goto another page before you can open a new window.
Perhaps what you want is to press a button on a page and have it do work without posting the page, e.g. make an AJAX request, and then based on that work popup some corresponding page.

I just installed FF4 and can't get a bookmark to open in a new tab using right-button click and selecting open in a new tab.

actually, it's more complicated. It seems none of the right-button options work: Open, open in a new window, and open in a new tab.

Safe Mode worked. Turned off hardware acceleration and it work until the next boot up, then it didn't work anymore. Made sure hardware acceleration was still off and then disabled all apps and it worked again. One-by-one, I enabled apps until all apps were again enabled. It worked with each app added. Everything still works and hasn't stopped working through about 5 boot-ups.

Creating new forms using a button

I am trying to make a button that creates a new form which in turn creates another form etc. any suggestions

You could just create an new instance of a Form in the click event handler for a Button and display it by calling its Show method:
Form1:

The constructor of the second form can then display another form:

How to display a pop up window using a button redirect to a page ?

I have a button who redirect to a page of the application and this button passes a few items using the URL parameters
(Optional URL Redirect).
I would like to display the new URL page in a pop up window, with the items set properly
Where do I put the "target = _blank" instruction ?

I'm not sure you can use a button like that, at least not without creating a custom button template, but then it wouldn't really be a button anymore. The standard popup function in ApEx is html_PopUp. It's signature is:
html_PopUp(pURL,pName,pWidth,pHeight,pScroll,pResizable)
It essentially encapsulates a call to window.open and can be called from a button with:
javascript:html_PopUp('http://www.google.com');
If you want to learn more do a Google search on "javascript window.open".

Issues with using the output redirection character with newer NXOS versions?

Has anyone seen any issues with using the output redirection character with newer NXOS versions?
Am receiving "Error 0x40870004 while copying."
Simply copying a file from bootflash to tftp is ok.
This occurs for both 3CDaemon and Tftpd32 softwares.
Have tried it on multiple switches - same issue.
Any known bugs?

Please check with new version of TFTPD 32 server. The error may be due to older version of TFPT server, the new version available solved this error. Files are getting uploaded with no issues.
1. Download tftpd32b.zip from:
http://tftpd32.jounin.net/tftpd32_download.html
2. Copy the tftpd32b.zip file into an empty directory and extract it.
3. Copy the file you want to transver into the directory containing tftpd32.exe.
4. Run tftpd32.exe from that directory. The "Base Directory" field should show the path to the directory containing the file you want to transfer.
At this point, the tftpserver is ready to begin serving files. As devices request files, the main tftpd32 window will log the requests.

ISetup new custom interface using BC4J/java class

Hi,
I am able to create new custom interface using the link :- How to setup an user to be Oracle iSetup Super user ? but I have not seen anything for BC4J filter set, as per oracle iSetup developer guide clearly explains step by step process how to create custom BC4J interface type, but they have not mention how to add filters, as per oracle developer guide we have to use 'iSetup Framework' for BC4J, if we select type as 'iSetup Framework' then we don't have option to add filter parameters.
Any idea how to see existing iSetup interface repository values, Search shows the result, but we can't go in details? any idea to see this?
Oracle have good interface repository but most of them does not have option to filter, and update so I want to customize them by adding new interfaces with filterable and update option

First, be sure your properties file is in the root of the classpath.
The Messages.properties or Messages_en.properties should be in the WEB-INF/classes/ directory of the war or as a root file of a jar included in the classpath (WEB-INF/lib).
If it doesn't work, try adding a "/" before the file name. The classloader will try to find it as a root file of the classpath.
For example:
ResourceBundle messages = ResourceBundle.getBundle("/Messages", locale);
If you are using sun appserver, the classloader hierarchy is configured by default from inside the war to outside, so it will search first in the WEB-INF/classes/Messages_en.properties and then it will search the file inside each jar file in WEB-INF/lib.
If you want more information, check the classloader hierarchy of the appserver you are using.

What operating system are you using?
Which version of camera raw do you have in photoshop cs6?
After you select the Adjustment Brush, the New button should already be enabled.
Then after you draw on an area of the image, the Add button should be enabled, with the option to choose either of the other two buttons; New or Erase
Could you post a screenshot?
Maybe all the adjustment values are set to zero?
(at least one needs to have a value other than zero)

Using the new Call and Chat buttons

This is really not a Mac issue, even though I use a Mac. It is a general issue regarding the use of the new Call and Chat buttons in web sites and HTML signatures,
I was using the so called "legacy" buttons, both on my home web site as well as in my HTML signature. Sometime a few days ago they stopped working altogether. I checked the Internet and I saw the post that Skype has discontinued their use and insteasd we would have to use the new Call and Chat buttons that work via a generated script.
This is fine, but I am having two issues here:
1) When I include the script on my web site, the Call image always goes on a line by itself. What I want is to have it on the same line with some other social media like images, such as Facebook, LinkedIn, etc. I could do this with the old legacy images but not with this new one.
2) How can I have now this functionality in an HTML signature? I can't put a script there.

As far as I know, you can't change it: first, your photo is probably a .jpg and iMovie will be adapting it to a video file which will result in somewhat of a loss of quality and second, if your original picture is small, it cannot be enlarged without significant loss of quality as it will get blurry while the individual pixels are being made larger - that depends on your camera settings and its photo output size. So it could be either or both of those that is the problem here. Check your camera and see what size you are taking your pictures in.

Using Firefox 5 in Windows 7, once I have Firefox open, I can no longer open a new window using the start button. How do I fix?

As I stated, I have Windows 7 on my laptop and have installed Firefox 5. I sometimes like to have multiple windows of the browser open. But, unlike any previous version of Firefox, now when I have the browser open, when I try to open a new window using the Start menu, it will not open one. I have to use Ctrl+N. Why did this change?
This may seem insignificant but it really hampers my work flow. For one, with other applications, Shift+N is what opens a new window. For two, I've been doing with with my browsers for years now and it's like second nature for me - having to remember that in Firefox it's Ctrl+N is a pain in my tuccus.
Firefox is my go to browser and I would like it to stay that way. Please find the solution for me! I have tried looking using Tools, Options, as well as looking at my start menu and taskbar options, and no dice.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

How to remove the new, but unneeded, "links buttons" at bottom of FF default start pg?

New default FF w/Google is great, & thanks very much too all. Would prefer to remove the new button links at bottom of pg, & have more blank space on the page where the new links are presently. The links are already fine for use at top of pg in a toolbar. Is removing the 6 new button links possible? Thanks.

How to move node in treeView using two buttons ?

Hello ,
Am starter , and am working on a Winforms application.
I browse an XML file , then I populate treeview in my interface. I want to move selected node in the two sens ( up and down) using two button ( so not with events , normal drag and drop with mouse ) .
- I select the nod
- I click on the up button , then the node take the new place ( something like , drop and insert maybe )
I don't know if is possible to affect this events to button or they are another way to do this

Opening new forms using jbutton

Hi i'm new to java, and i am currentley building an interface which has three buttons(cars,vans,red car). I have managed to create a class that opens a new window when the car button is clicked. However i am unsure of how to create different windows for when the other buttons are clicked.
Heres my code ive based it on an example i found on here.
