Reducing sales order requeriments when doing production confirmation within underdelivery tolerance

Dear PP Experts,
I am facing a problem and would like to share with you.
We have a FERT material being planning with strategy 20 (m.t.o.).  In this material (work schedulling) view, we define 10% (underdelivery tolerance).
Suppose the scenario bellow ( in Stock Requeriments List - MD04 transaction):
Inicial Stock: 0,00
Sales order:  -1000
Process order: 1000
After doing a production confirmation of 990 pieces we have:
Inicial stock: 990
Sales order: 10
But... after to run MRP a new planned order is created:
Inicial stock: 990
Sales order: 10
Planned order: 10
My requeriment is:
If I did a production confirmation of 990, I am already in the tolerance of 10% that means for us this sales orders needs to be considered completely done. In others words, the sales orders requeriments must be 100% reduced for not triguer a new planned order.
Is ther a customizing or user-exit to solve it, avoiding manual actions?
Regards,
Marcelo Garcia

Hi Marcelo
MRP will not consider the production order tolerance during the net requirements calculation. If the sales order requirement is bigger than the stock, a new planned order will be generated.
A solution to this issue is to use BAdI MD_CHANGE_MRP_DATA to make your own logic and make the sales order not relevant to MRP.
See the following blog post for an example of this BAdI:
Making an element not relevant to MRP or MD04 using BAdI MD_CHANGE_MRP_DATA

  • Assembly to order: change in sales order with change in Production order

I want to activate change in the sales order data when a production order(which is created w.r.t the sales order) data is changed (Strategy 82 used); I have de-activated "No Update" for the corresponding requirement class 201; also the material for which SO created ,is not a part of any Delivery group.
But when I am changing the production order (date/qty.), SO isn't getting updated accoringly.
Please tell me the reason why it isn't happening!!

    Hi
The sales order requirement can be made as the production order receipt once you save the order in the system.
so it is possible to change the receipt according to the sales order reqmt if any changes made in the sales order,
in every entry or changes in the sales order ( if you use the stategy 82) . in back end system explode the BOM and the create the production order as per the order reqmt,
even while you do the changes mad in the sales and save that time sytem re explode the BOM once again and change the production order qty.
but if you change the production order , system not re run or explode the BOM , Routing . such setting is not made in the system . so obviously updation will not happen for the sales order .

  • Price Determination in Sales Order - for a Standard product & Custom Produc

    Hi,
The price information is not displaying at Item Level in Sales Order for my own product 'SalesProduct1' and to my custom Sales order (z-TA). However, for standard products (Ht-1000, HT-1010, HT-1100 etc.) the price information is getting displayed successfully in z-TA.
Also, in standard sales Order transaction (TA: Sales process). The price information is getting displayed successfully for both Standard products (Ht-1000, HT-1010, HT-1100 etc.) and for my own product (salesproduct1).
Could you please help me out, how to rectify this problem ie. How can I diplay the price information for salesproduct1 in Z-TA?
I tried to duplicate all the information that is there in standard products like category, sales Area etc, except PR00 price condition to my custom salesproduct1. However, in the place of PR00, I have added 0PR0 price condition and price information.
Still the price information is not reflecting in my custom sales order (z-TA) for my salesproduct1.
I also verifed that the SalesAreas are same for BP, Product org, Product price condition, Sales Order org info.
I also checked that BP the Customer pricing procedure is Standard and for Doc. pricing procedure in Z-TA, TA is Standard.
I also confirmed that in price procudere determination there exists a record that mathces with these salesarea, cust pp, doc. pp.

    Hi,
in order to get closer to the root cause of the issue, you might want to make use of the pricing analysis / price trace. Set the user parameter PRC_TRACE = X via transaction SU3. Create an order in SAP GUI and navigate to the item level conditions tab. You should find the button accesses. In the accesses screen you will find details on condition determination and why it failed / succeeded.

  • Sales order number based on Production order number.

    Hi,
Can anyone provide me the relationship between the sales order and production order .
I need to get the customer material description(ie from vbap for related sales document no) when i give the input  as a production order number ,now my question is how the data is  retriewed  i mean how the production order gets related to sales order and form it how the material no is picked up and its material description..
Please provide me with the tables and what key fields  are related (clear view how tables are related and how could i fetch the data)

    Swetha,
There is no exact relationship between a Production order and a Sales order in an MakeToStock environment.  I will therefore assume that you are speaking of MakeToOrder,  where there is an exact relationship between the Production order and the Sales Order/Item.
Functionally, CO03 > enter the production order number.  On the display screen will be displayed the associated Sales order and item.  Double click on this and it will bring you to VA03.  Select the item of interest, and then Goto > Item > Purchase order data.  The customer material is displayed.  If you have entered a customer material description in your Customer Material Info Record (CMIR) (VD51), and if the Material in the sales order was determined by the customer material info record, then the description will be displayed instead.
    So, at table level:
Look in AFPO to find production order number.  Contained in AFPO is AFPO-KDAUF and AFPO-KDPOS.
Use these fields to look in VBAP to locate your sales order/item.  Find VBAP-KDMAT. This is customer material.
The description of the 'standard' customer materials can always be found in KNMT.  To look this up, you need to know sales org, dist channel, customer, and material.  Lookup using a program is dicey, since it is possible, within a sales order, to determine the material from Customer material, or it is possible to just enter any customer material in the sales order.  When the material is determined, it depends upon your determination logic (sold to? Hierarchy?), which can differ from system to system, and from customer to customer.  To sum it up, it is possible to get the CustMat description from data found in VBAP and VBAK, but you first need to know how your CMIRs are structured.
For a simple lookup, I suggest you just get to the customer material in VBAP, and stop there.
For more info about how data is stored in the Sales documents, you might want to ask your question in one of the SD forums.

  • Valuated Sales order stock with CO Production Order

    Dear All,
Our clinet is manifatcuring cables and having  2 plants, for one plant we have configured PP module so we are arriving valuated sales order stock, for another plant we didnt configured PP module so we planned CO production order, but where as we are not meeting our ultimate goal i.e; valuated sales order stock.
So please guide me how to arrive valuated sales order stock  with CO Production Order.
    Thanks & Regards
    Narasimham T

Valuated sales order stock is not dependent on PP, so you should be able to still to use it.  The requirements class associated with the sales order item determines whether the item is valuated sales order stock and it also determines the valuation method.  If you do not have Boms and routings in this plant you can still value the line item based on the material valuation in the material master. You can also value it based on a unit cost estimate that can be created seperately for the sales order item.  Justt make the desired settings in the requirement class.
    thanks,

  • How to stop the prodution order creating when the product is not valued?

    Hi guyes:
How to stop the prodution order creating when the product is not valued using CO01?
I hope that when i create the production order, the system will check the product is valued or not,if not
the system will show an error or warning message!
    How to config for this?
    Thank you!

    Dear Zhao Gang,
Check with this user Exits mentioned in this link,
Prevent Production Order from "Release" if there is no Cost Estimate

  • Sales Order Updation when the delivery changed

    Hello Experts,
I am working an object where I need to update the sales order when the delivery changed.
Actually when the remote system rejected the delivery an IDOC will come to R/3
Sooner the delivery changed in R/3 I need to update few fields in sales order.
When I am trying to code in the exit in the FM attached to the IDOC it is first updating the sales order and calling ws_update_delivery  next.
Even if I am trying in mv45afz1 also same thing is happening.
Can anyone let me know how to solve this problem.

    Hi,
you can see the work center capacity situation for manufacturing an item in the salesorder. But it needs Assemble to Order strategy. Anyway u can see the material details in the sales order.

  • Requested delivery date in Sales order for internally produced products

    Dear All,
I'm searching for a solution for the following case:
Customer places a sales order for inhouse produced material, there is no stock for that product and no planned receipts, so ATP check does not confirm anything.
A sales person does not know when product can be produced since thats depended on components availability on stock or confirmed dates of future receipts of needed components.
So at the stage when a sales person inputs a sales order he should somehow calculate the requested delivery date.
He can create a production order (without saving it) for requested good and check components availability inside production order, and based on that figure out a valid date, but thats of course is not convenient at all.
He will need to go through all confirmed dates in ATP (in production order) and figure out the latest date when the latest component is available. Then he will get a start date for production order and as a result a date when requested product will be on stock.
All these activities which could be a workaround are not so convenient for sales persons.
I'm curious, is there any official SAP way how to calculate a day for above described case when product will be produced (like simulation of overall chain) and of course much better to have it in background...
Your ideas and suggestions are very much appreciated.
    Best Regards,
    Andrey

    Hi Andrey
I feel this is more of process issue rather than config problem. Whatever market and productline your client is operating in ,there will be some analysis available regarding the time required to replenish a material from the date requirement is generated and this is even if you don't have SAP.
Generally companies have the approximate time entered in  material master  either in GR processing When material is procured  or in planned delivery time When  produced in house.
So you can still maintain approximate time there and configure availability check to check cumulated confirmed quantities.
change VOV8 to propose the delivery date. this way u get delivery proposal for availability check and then still u can block the delivery as Mr.Sai ; has suggested , OR  have your own checks incorporated in user exits in  RV03VFZZ.
The requirement transfer can be blocked and you can use  user status  or  combination of user status and user exit to control the requirement transfer.
For customer specific manufacturing of sales order stock also ,you need to verify strategy group and planning strategy .that should solve problems rather than changing config. into sales.
So i would suggest that have a second look  at PP ,MRP config and material  master data and then check for changes on SD side. also try using delivery proposal.

  • Sales order stealing components from Production order

In MTS scenrio, we have a main assembly "A" which has a sub assembly "B" as its component.  "A" is produced inhouse and "B" is externally procured. For producing one  ea of "A", a quantity of one ea of "B" is required.Sales order 001 is created for "A" for quantity 10 ea. "B" has a stock of 7 ea, where as there is no stock of  "A" . MRP run for "A" creates a planned order for "A", and also a purchase requisition for "B" for 3 ea. The purchase requisition of B is converted to a Purchase order. Now, the planned order of "A"  is converted to Production order. The material availability check for the Production order has no missing parts. Now, a Sales order 002 for 8 ea is created for "B". The sales order now steals the stock that was already reserved for the production order. We do not want this to happen. We would like the sales order propose a date based on the replenishment lead time. Your valuable suggestions to solve this problem is appreciated. Also the following settings were made, but still it is not working. The  SD checking rule A  has "include dependent requirements" selected andalso the reservations are also considered for the availability check,

I have a very similar configuration but still sales orders are getting confirmed when we move the inventory and  not for the released production orders.
We would want the released production orders to get the inventory first followed by customer sales order and STOs
any pointers will be of great help.

  • Update of Sales Order Delivery Dates from Production Order Date Changes

    I work at a discrete made-to-order manufacturer.
When our factories maintain their production orders, they will often have to change their order dates.  Is there a way so that these changes can automatically update our sales orders so we can re-send sales order confirmations?

    hi,
    this comes under development part.
please check the feasibility with your abaper because you will have to change standard code.

  • ATP check in the Sale order Processing and CO06 transaction (Confirm Qty)

    Hi All,
While creating the Sale order, After performing the ATP check and saving the document i have called an user exit to make the confirmed Quantity equal to ZERO when the delivery block is set (As requested by customer). That is working fine...
But the same confirmed Quantity of ZERO is not reflecting in CO06 transaction. Its showing the old value that the value before setting the delivery block.
I have identified the table VBBE-VMENG which stores the confirmed quantity in CO06 transaction...
Could you please help me know any USER EXITS or any other solution to change the confirmed quantity to ZERO in CO06 transaction also while delivery block is set in the sale order.

  • Ignore the number of schedule lines in sale order item when run MRP

    Dear All,
I have a problem when I create production order (discrete manufacturing)
When I create a sale order with one sale order item and 3 schedule lines for this sale order item.
After that, I run MRP for this sale order, what I get is 3 planned orders for 3 schedule lines. It means that I will have 3 production orders for 1 sale order item.
I want  create one production order for one sale order item whatever the number of schedule lines in sale order item.
I think I have to config in MRP. Please help me.
    Thanks in advance

    Dear
Check in OPPQ then look in Master data Availability Check & strategy for material also check whether u have maintained strategy for same material and see did u extended sales views for other material
As u said 3 schedule lines for this sale order item check whether u have extended sales views for next material

  • Change in Sales order deleted all process production order

    Dear All,
We have Make to order scenario for our export sales. When we have receive order we make production with reference of sales order with help of t-code MD50 then convert plan order into production order.
IF sales department do changes in sales order it'll delete all processing production orders So, we have to do revoke all production orders manually.
2 query is that, Is there any way to run MRP (Make-to-order) on all line items of sales order ?
    Please provide solution.
    Thanks,
    Farrukh khan

    Dear Farrukh,
There is not tcode to run sales order for all line items, but if you run MD02 it will plan all sales order & line items also. You can run MD02.
