Reference Application TabNavigator from a Module

I have a LinkButton in my module and when it is clicked I
would like to change the selected tab of the TabNavigator that
resides in my Application. When the LinkButton was right in my
Application I simply added
"click='tabNavName.selectedChild=tabName;'". I feel as though I
need to prepend something to my click event to reference the
application but I don't know what I need to add.

you can always use Application.application prepend (it works
like a charm , "little bit of "hackorama" way but if you are not
doing reusable component that is fine).

This fix adds a moduleFactory parameter to PopUpManager.createPopUp() to allow a module or sub-application to specify the style manager to be used. Modules and sub-applications should always pass a moduleFactory to PopUpManager.createPopUp() or PopUpManager.addPopUp() to ensure the correct style manager is used when looking up styles. Otherwise the parent of the pop up is used to determine the style manager.
QE notes: Please create a PerModuleStyles test that uses the new parameter to createPopUp().

How to Use AccessibleObjectFromWindow API in VBA to Get Excel Application Object from Excel Instance Window Handle

I need to get the Excel.application object from a window handle using AccessibleObjectFromWindow. I can't seem to make the code work. First, I successfully search for the XLMAIN windows. Then, when I get a handle, I execute the AccessibleObjectFromWindow
function. It seems to return a value of -2147467262 in all cases. Therefore, I believe that it is returning an error value. I can't figure out how to determine the meaning of this value.
If it is an error value, I believe that one or more arguments are in error. My best guess at present is that the GUID argument is incorrect. I have tried two GUID values: {00020400-0000-0000-C000-000000000046} and {90140000-0016-0409-0000-0000000FF1CE}.
I have seen both used in conjunction with OBJID_NATIVEOM. Neither one seems to work. I really would prefer not to use the second one as it has an Excel major and minor version number. I would hate to have to change this code, if a new minor version appeared.
The attached code has been commented to show which parts have been shown to work and which not. I'm at my wits end and really need help.

I believe that this value is not an object. I tried to reference tmp1. in the _

I don't think you can return a reference to Excel's main window like that as you are attempting to do.

It's relatively straightforward to return any workbook's window in any given instance, and in turn it's parent Excel app. Try the following and adapt as required (and include error handling) -

Note as written if an instance does not have any loaded workbooks a reference will not be returned (though a workbook can be added using DDE, but convoluted!)
FWIW there are two other very different approaches to grab all running Excel instances though something along the lines of the above is simplest.

I had this same problem, and to solve it I had to remove iTunes and revert back to older version. Also, when you do this, you have to remove the iTunes Library.ilt file or else you will get an error message saying it was created with a newer version of iTunes. So what I'm trying to say is don't install the iTunes 8.1 update just yet.

This is a SQL Server 2012 Developer Edition of SSRS.
I am getting this error when navigating to http://servername/Reports. The reports site was working fine, until I installed a SQL 2014 Developer instance (including SSRS) on the same server.
I can still get to the http://servername/ReportServer site.
Neither of these are using Sharepoint.
Any help resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated.

"The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference." is generally caused by the loaded assembly's version is different than the expected version application refers to.
In this case, it should be caused by:
While starting Report Manager, the backend process ReportingServiceService need to load assemblies it refers to
ReportingServiceService reads the compilation/assemblies element from web.config(under Report Manager virtual patch)
If the compilation/assemblies is not existing, ReportingServiceService loads all assemblies from Bin folder. It can be verified from call stack System.Web.Configuration.CompilationSection.LoadAllAssembliesFromAppDomainBinDirectory(). ReportingServiceService
uses System.Reflection.Assembly.Load with the assemblies' name only to load assemblies.
The Assembly.Load tries to load from the specify assembly by name from GAC at first. If it is found from GAC, it won't be loaded from Bin folder any more.
Since Reporting Service SharePoint Integration mode is installed, a same assembly of 'Microsoft.ReportingServices.SharePoint.ObjectModel' with different version might be installed to the GAC. That causes the error "The located assembly's manifest definition
does not match the assembly reference."

How to set an Application Item from PL/SQL

I am attempting to set an Application Item
After login to my app, I want to retrieve a row from my SETTINGS table and populate some Application Items with the settings information so that I can
display some of that settings information on every page.
Just to start, I created one Application Item named F106_YEAR
I then created a Shared Components Application Process which executes on New Session: After Authentication
I created this process as an Anynomous PL/SQL block.

I've tried a couple of other Syntax tricks attempting to reference the Application Item F106_YEAR from within PL/SQL (like V('F106_YEAR') but nothing seems to be working.

I'm still doing something wrong because this is not working for me.
I've tried both of the following versions as an Application Process set to run on New Session after Authentication:

The application runs queries to fetch data from database in SQL server 2008, and for that I am using a Microsoft SQL Native Client 2008 R2 64 bit ( this is the only version that installs on either PC, even the one on which I developed my LV Application).
I am not using any driver, only toolkits for reports - and for that I un-checked the "Remove unused polymorphic VI instances" when making the executable, otherwise LV throws up an exception that share variable are not being included.
Yes I did reboot every time after I ran the installation.
Still getting the same error.

"Bad quality received from network module."

My computer has 2 Fieldpoint ethernet banks setup to allow Lookout to interface with mulitple HW peripherals. Lookout launches automatically when the computer starts up. And after everything is loaded, one of the ethernet banks will almost immediately log the following alarm, "Bad quality received from network module." Does anyone know what criteria/logic is behind the triggering of this alarm?
We have been unable to find any issues that would cause this alarm to go off.

Fi validation -exclude tr code from other modules

I am setting up a validation at the Fi line item level. Now it is restricting some documents comming from MM which we don't want to. Is it possible to exclude some of the transaction codes from other modules to not to consider this validation.
I tried SYST-TCODE <> (T-Code from other modules like MM for eg: MIRO etc)
But that does not seem to work.
Does anyone know why and are there any options to get this done.
Any help will be appreciated

Please validate BKPF-AWTYP (reference procedure)
For postings done in FI its, BKPF and so for others it would change.
This would be simple.
But for this check whether this field can be used for validation.
This can be done by checking table GB01, if not change the settings to make this field available for validation.

Republish web application on from Workshop 9.2

Hi,
we migrated our application from Weblogic 8.1 to Weblogic 9.2. Now, we have trouble when we try to debug our web application after a modification. There is no problem when changin a jsp file, but as soon as we change a .java file like a PageFlowControler, we have to restart the server to update our application. The problem is that we get an exception when we try to republish our Enterprise application.
Here is the message that pops up from Workshop:
"Module named 'SDApp' failed to redeploy.
Child module of 'SDApp' named '/' failed to redeploy.
weblogic.application.CannotRedeployException: Module / in application 'SDApp' cannot be redeployed because the following modules which depend on / were not included in the redeploy list: sd.war"
Is someone here have an idea?

The problem is that when we changed a java file (like a pageflow controller) in our web project, we hae to stop and restart the server to get our changes. If we simply build our application, we have tag errors.
We upgraded from SP4 of Weblogic 8.1. I recreated the Dynamic web application project and copy the content of WebContent and src directories and got the same result.
In 8.1, we had:
1 java project
1 schema project
1 ejb project
1 web project.
once upgraded to 9.2 there will be 5 projects
1 EAR project
1 EJB Project
2 Utility project
1 web project
I just realized that I could get rid of the problem by removing netui-tags-html.tld from Web-INF dir. But we need these tld files because we still have netui-compat tags in our jsp.

Reference application and logging - use of ENE_TIME and PAGE_TIME-custom va

In the Orange Box reference application there are log variable/values for ENE_TIME and PAGE_TIME.
Can these varibles be variables used in reporting? If not - can they be?
Also, If one puts additional entries into the log statements (such as OTS_HOST) can these entries be used for filtering via tweaking of the XSL report templates?
Can reports - other than the reports that come out of the box - be added to Workbench?

Have the status of the record being processed stored in the database. The status includes the process state, next process attempt time, and processing attempt count.
Create an updatable view that exposes only records that are ready to be processed. A view is needed because the database adapter cannot handle a where clause that compares against SYSDATE.
Design logic that determines if a process instance that has faulted should be retried and when the retry should occur. This information will be updated in the database by use of a stored procedure. This can also be done with an update partner link and additional logic in BPEL.

Loading RSL's from a module

Hello,
We're having a problem with RSL's with Flex 4.
It seems that we can't load a RSL library from a module. It causes error like 1014 (Verify Error).
I've posted a bug but it has not been answered yet :

I'll try to explain our problem with an example.
With Flash Builder 4 we create 3 projects:
- a Flex Project A with an application AppA
- a Flex Project B with:
- an application AppB (not used but mandatory in FB4)
- a module ModuleB
- a Flex Library Project C with a class named ClassC
Dependencies:
- AppA loads ModuleB with ModuleLoader component
- ModuleB uses ClassC (in Flex Build Path project C is declared
as RSL).
At execution time, if we trace http requests (with Firebug):
- AppA is loaded
- framework RSLs are loaded
- ModuleB is loaded
And the problem: not request to load our RSL (built from C project)
Same scenario works fine with Flex Builder 3.
Note: we plan to delivery a new version of our software in October
to improve design with new flex 4 skin capabilities and this problem
is blocking.

Can you please share some tools / methodology to perform such migrations particularly from COBOL to Oracle Developer??BIG question. Actually, we did it the hard way -- completely rewrote the entire application. Took 4 years with 8 to 10 developers and analysts.
The only tools we used were what you get from Oracle: Forms, SQL Plus, Reports. It was a huge project, done partly to overcome the Y2K century problems.
AS for training, we did not really get any. We just waded in and started writing code ...which definitely improved after about 6 months.
What sort of system are you looking to convert? How much on-line user interface does it currently have? How many data files?
