Refill non-user matrix

Hello,
i have to add a column to a non-user matrix in sbo 2005. To achieve this i have to clear the matrix first. After this it is possible to add the column. Now i want to refill the matrix with the old values. Is there any possibility to do this?
Thank you in advance.

Hello,
The only way is to call AddRows again (or e.g. in A/R or A/P programmatically launch the item select dialog etc. etc.) and to fill in the data via the particular Specifics of the cells - as necessary; please note that when you enter e.g. the item code other columns will be filled automatically...:
You will need to figure out exactly which cells you need to change + you will need to handle issues like the case that the user has chosen to hide some cell that would need to be filled (or has set it to read-only...)
I.e. you must be extremely careful when using this trick - and I would really try to avoid using it!

    follow steps
    1)     Execute query so we can get data set
    2)     Clear matrix and data source (omatrix.clear(), oDBS.Clear())
    3)     Open loop
    4)     Insert record to oDBS using oDBS.InsertRecords(oDBS.Offset)
    5)     Then set value using oDBS.Setvalue(u2026u2026
    6)     Move next record
    7)     Finally close the loop
    8)     Matrix load from record set using oMatrix.LoadfromData()
    it will be work

  • Non user-specific layout in Tx KOC4

    Hi all.
We´re trying to create a not user specific layout on tx KOC4, but the option "user-specific" is check and grayed out and can't modify it.
We´re using the standard report.... I search on the forum and on sap notes for a solution, but I can´t find it.
Thanks in advance for your help.

If you want to be able to create non-user-specific layout from the actual/planned cost report in  you have to flag the field "layout visibility - shared" in transaction OKN0. Then you will see that the user-specific field is no longer greyed out anymore.
I leave the solution, if anyone needs the help sometime
    Thanks any way!

  • Image in column header of user matrix

    Hi,
does anybody know how i can show an image in the column header of a matrix. I'm using a user matrix.
    thanks for help.
    Markus

    1. SBO 2004 will not allow this action. The Header Column item is a EditBox type and you can not override this directly.
    2. What you can do is "paste" an image item on the column header (using Screenpainter). This will allow you to display a picture. You must just make sure the form can't be resized OR "move" the image item when the column is moved about.
This - to my knowledge - is your only option.

  • Classic battery is non-user replaceable

The classic manual says, "iPod classic has an internal, non-user-replaceable battery."
Does this mean that it can't be replaced, period, i.e. that it will have to be thrown away when the battery has exhausted its limited number of charges?

No, this means the exact same thing all previous iPod models have said - the iPod must be sent in to Apple or someone who is skilled in replacing the battery.
Non user serviceable usually means that there is no battery slot that is purposely made accessible to the user for gaining access. Of course, there are several kits available to help you replace the battery and they are widely available. However, by doing this you are opening and replacing your battery at YOUR OWN RISK. Some people are comfortable performing this task others are not.
As soon as you open your iPod on your own you have basically voided any Warranty you have left. Original or extended. If something breaks, you'll have to pay to get it fixed at this point.
So, yes, the battery can be replaced when it goes bad. It just needs to be replaced by someone who knows what they're doing.

  • Sending notification from workflow to non users

I have a workflow requirement where I would like to send notification to Email
IDs of People who are not defined anywhere in the Content Management System.
Basically the workflow is to review Documents for various Projects being
carried out for our Customers. At the end of the workflow we would want to
just notify the Customer that the document has been reviewed and approved
and that they could collect them from our office. The email ID of the
Customer is being stored as a metadata field and the purpose is to send a
notification to this Email ID for the respective content.

    Hey There,
This is a great question and a common request.
Here at Fishbowl, we have an add-on component called Subscription Notifier that will do exactly what you are asking. It gives you the ability to define your own email templates so you can easily tailor the look and feel of the emails, it will email users and non users alike on a triggered and/or scheduled and/or event basis which gives you maximum flexibility. Furthermore as long as there is a look-up vector then email addresses can be pulled from anywhere they're stored (e.g. metadata as you currently have it, a data provider, database table join, IDM system etc.). Subscription Notifier also has built-in hooks to handle callbacks so that after a notification is sent out additional business process steps can be automated.
Please take a look at the specs here: http://bit.ly/ENRwq

  • Fire non-user defined event inside another event

I want to call a normal/non-user defined event after an operation has occured inside a different normal/non-user definded event. Is this possible?
The reason I don't want to use a user defined event is that if this can be done this way it would be much cleaner implemenation. Also, cleaner than using a sub-vi which would require a lot of wiring.

From my experimentation with this, it appears that the fired event
will not actually execute until the event currently being executed
(the one that fires the other event) is completely finished. The
"time" terminal of the second event idicates the time when it was told
to fire, but it does not actually execute then. You cannot say do
steps 1,2,3 in an event, temporarily leave that event to do code in
another event, then come back to the first event and complete steps
4,5. If the second event is fired after step #3, then steps 4 and 5
will finish first before the second event executes. This contrasts
with other languages such as Delphi were you can leave one event
    temporarily.

  • Sorting in User Matrix

    Hey All,
If the user clicks on a column header in a user matrix is there a quick way of sorting that data accordingly? I understand that the developer has to do this manually.
Does anyone have a code example of how to do this?
I cannot find any in the forums, samples or help files.
I use this code to populate my matrix:
    oDBDataSource.Query(oConditions);
    this.OMatrix.LoadFromDataSource();
    Thanks.

    Hi Laura,
You have another message talking about how to sort a matrix:
Re: Sort data in matrix using DBDataSources
The only think you have to do is put this code inside the ItemEvent DoubleClick on the first column of your matrix. Then you have to sort your datas depending on the column clicked.

  • Manage User Matrix Like System Matrix

    Greetings Experts,
    Environment: B1 2007A, C#
I have created a UD matrix on a UD form. I want to handle that matrix(and the table it is bound to) as if it were a child of the Service Contract form/table. This would mean that my user defined matrix would have a many-to-one relationship to the Service Contract number. BUT, how do I manage this? How can I make the Service Contract number relate to my UD matrix records and "limit" what I see on that matrix like the parent-child system objects do? Is this even possible with UDOs?
Please let me know if you need more explanation.
    Thank you.

    Hi
Do you want to open and insert data manually in your UD matrix and here you want to relate the service no. or when adding a service document you want to insert data automatically in your UD matrix ?
you can have a field at the header of your form and open the service documents based on your condition and select the service no. and then insert data into your matrix..

  • Protect Non user specific variant

    HI all,
I want to save a variant available for all users, the problem is that I don't want none apart of me to modify it. I could create a User-Specific variant, but this way I am the only one who will have access to it. I want to create a variant for all users which can oply be modify by me. Do you know if there is a way to do this??
    Thanks a lot in advance.

    Hi Jürgen,
This is a very helpful answer, but I am looking for a way without having to use authorizations. The problem is that the other users should also be able to create variants, so this solution is not useful in this case. I need something similar to what we have in the selection variants in which you can protect the variant.
    Best Regards.

  • Adding custom column to a  user matrix

    Hi all
    I have a little problem
When i create my matrix i add columns according to how many ship to's i have
from there if i have 3 ship to's three columns are created with the shipto Name as the title.
    My problem is
The ship to itself length is > 10 characters then my program crashes and says
INVALID length string cannot surpass 10 characters.
I know this has to do with the datasources the thing is the datsource are useally created AFTER the matrix is created. So i cannot define a length for the column BEFORE the matrix is created because i get a null reference
My question is is there a way without datasources or with to set the colmun length
and when i say length i do not mean size. ( i actually mean how many characters this column can accept)
Thanks looking forword to your answers!

    Hi
    To answer your Question
Here is the order in which i create a MATRIX
    1) Create Form
    2) Add Matrix with columns
    3) Create Datasources for Matrix columns
Now according to what you said i can very well do it at step 3 the problem is
my columns are Filled at step 2. on creation of the Matrix before the datasources are instantiated.
I am wondering if there is a way to instantiate my datasource BEFORE creating my column
The other way of fixing this problem is changing my code which at this point is the last option.
Thanks for any help sorry i was not clear.

  • How do I export InDesign content so non-users can make edits?

I am an in-house designer for a mid-sized nonprofit company. I am working on editing some large brochures, (50 pg or so.) The brochures have a lot of formatting and styles.
I have been copying the text to a Word file, and sending it to my coworkers for edits. When I re-import the text, I have to re-apply all the formatting.
Can I use xml tags to keep the file formatting in place so that my coworkers can edit the content? Can my co-workers use word to edit the xml files without having to see the tags?
Is the solution as easy as managing the paragraph styles between word and InDesign?

Thank you all for your advice. I feel like I've gotten a satisfactory answer, although it is more of a pain than I was hoping for.
I'm just going to add some details to reply to the later posts.
I didn't know that Acrobat reader could handle comments. I have had a lot of instances where I could have used PDF comments and this will help a lot.
I'm trying to cut down on the amount of typing that I have to do, to save work for me and to reduce the possibility of errors.
Story Tweaker sounds like a great idea, except that adding a new piece of software into the process would be a monumental pain based on the average contributors computer skills.
Same for InCopy, Plus we couldn't afford it.
    I actually have four prongs:
    Use tools users know
    Avoid purchasing new software
Avoid errors between their content and my final product
    Minimize keystroking
I'm going to have to be very specific in my use of styles in the InDesign file and in the Word Document.
I'm going to have to make sure that my Word doc is very well locked and that all changes are tracked correctly.
Lastly, I'm going to have to make sure that my page styles are very flexible so that edits that change the pagination can be accomodated as painlessly as possible.
Since I am the inhouse designer, I very often have to design the layout before the copy is finalized, and no ability to make anyone pay. Well, maybe lunch.
    And I agree about Word.

  • Non user driven processes in application servers?

I'm familiar with the traditional Entity/Session/Message Driven beans, but I've been looking at writing an app that would include a scheduler which would periodically send out messages through JMS. I have been away from J2EE for a while, but I've never been sure where such a process fit into an application server. As I recall when I initially studied J2EE you really wanted to let the app server handle all of the threading. Does such a scheduler as I've described have a place in an appserver, or should it run separately and only communicate with the app server through the JMS messages? Could someone point me to some reading on that?
    Thanks,
