Refresh job time creep

Has anyone had to deal with the creeping refresh job time ? I've a situation where my read-only snapshot refresh job needs to be run off-hours. The way my system is running, the next_date value for the group is set to the completion time + 24 hours (sysdate + 1). If the volume of data or network issues stretch the refresh time, the dba has to go in and reset the job refresh time so that it runs during off-peak hours.
Aside from manual intervention, is there a way to deal with this issue ?

You can avoid creep by explicitly stating the time. If the job is to run at 2am each morning, the interval would be:
'trunc(sysdate + 1) + 2/24'

All I'm doing is refreshing. I shouldn't be asked to confirm. This is not re-sending post data.
Seems that your moderator marks issues as resolved when he, she or it hasn't actually done the job. That makes you unreliable and worse than useless.

Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot.

If I'd had that problem and done things that you'd done and seen no results. I'd delete FF again but this time fully - clean the registry as well. Then I'd remove java environment and everything related to it, sdk, jre etc...Reboot the PC and reinstall the newest version of FF, then download the latest versions of java platforms, sdk etc... and reinstall the as well.

Refresh every time

Hi Gurus,
we recently upgraded to 11.1.1.6.1 from 10g and in one of my dashboard we have navigation to detail report it worked perfectly in 10g but after upgrade we observed that when opening the page links are coming but when pressing the link navigation not working so I refreshed the page using PAGE OPTIONS-->REFRESH then every thing is working fine...I have to do this refresh every time when opening page first time..why it is behaving like this?any solutions..or if its known issue please share bug/note ID..

TM on 10.5 was a bit primitive and I am not sure how well it works with later versions.
Anyway the method is simple.. get a suitable sized USB drive.. plug it into your Mac and start TM and point it to the USB drive.. start.
TM is not hard.

When you start the new Mac.. you can simply migrate the files from the old mac without a TM backup at all. Never get rid of the old machine until the new machine is fully operational.

Safari Refreshes Each Time Visited

The Safari app on my iPad 2 (8.1) refreshes every time I go to it. I load a webpage, go to another app. When I return to Safari the open webpage refreshes again. This makes the system run very slow. What can be done to fix this? This was not an issue before 8.0.

If you are having issues with your iPad refreshing Safari web pages each time you go to it, you may want to try some things to troubleshoot.
First, quit all running applications and test again -
iOS: Force an app to close
Next, I would try restarting the iPhone -
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset
If the issue is still present, you may want to restore the iPhone as a new device -

DB02 space overview refresh job cancelled

when i m trying to refresh the DB02 data from that transaction the job with name
'REFRESH SPACE STATISTIC:DEFAULT ' get created but it got cancelled with massage ABAP/4 processor: DATA_LENGTH_0 .
In ST22 we can see the following.

Hai,
SAP_COLLECTOR_FOR_PERMONITOR need to be scheduled in all the systems in the landscape in order to collect the performace data of the system.
You can schedule the job from SM36, report RSCOLL00 schedules all of the reports that need to run for the performance monitor. RSCOLL00 uses table TCOLL to determine what to run.
This job is not cleint specific so scheduling it in 000 client is the best way. The job user should be DDIC.

Discoverer Portlets - Refresh Job

The Refresh of Discoverer Reports Portlets can be Scheduled to run as job.
I would like to know where can i find the information of the refresh of portlets jobs.
I am currently looking into the Portal Schema to find the table.

You can set the scheduled refresh to occur at your chosen time automatically. It works pretty good compared to manual refresh even with parameter based portlets.
For example if you want to refresh every week on Monday @ 7AM type in may 12, 2008 and also 7:00AM and say refresh weekly.

Instrument window needs to be refreshed every time

When I double click on an midi instrument (the blue button with the instrument name), the window comes up blank.
Only the instrument header information can be seen. I then have to re-select "view" which appears to refresh the window and then the instrument is displayed in full.
Is this a bug or do I need to change something in the Logic settings to stop this?

I've been happening something similiar happen occassionally. Maybe once a session every couple of days. I'll use the mouse to initiate a new command (open window, new instrument etc). Any virtual instrument windows, go blank, and then reload themselves. Taking a couple of seconds to do this.. It happens irregularly, it has also happen a couple of times when saving a song..

Last Refresh Date/Time

seems like this should be simple enough but i can't figure it out.
i have a dashboard with a refresh button. the dashboard uses a LiveOffice universe query. the user would like to add something on the dashboard that shows the last date/time that it was refreshed. i can show the initial load date/time by using a text box and linking it to a cell with =now() formula but it doesn't change as the model is refreshed.
i guess i could put something in the universe and query it for the current date/time but that seems like an awful lot of work. any ideas?

This depends on your LO Data Source. If you are using a Web Intelligence Report, you can define a Variable with:
=LastExecutionDate()" "LastExecutionTime()
And then use a label on your dashboard pointint to where this is located on you spreadhsheet from the report.

Metalink Refresh Job Error

Im trying to run the refresh metalink job in Grid Control and keep getting the error of about downtime for My ORacle Support which was last weekend and from when classic metalink was retired. I have cleared out the cookies etc but the still the same as I'm trying to get todays latest cpu patch. Anyone to help?

I too had the same issue and getting the error message that "My Oracle Support will be offline for maintenance on Friday, April 9th for approximately 4 hours....."
The issue was resolved after restarting the opmn processes.
$opmnctl stopall
$opmnctl startall
