Refreshing TEDS

Hello!
Ive made a program that collects the information in TEDS sensors with an NI RIO 9233, the only problem is that when I change to another sensor or the direction of the sensor
I dont get any new results. Then I need to restart in the Measurment & Automation explorer.
So my question is if there are any function directly in labVIEW where I can either restart or refresh the configuration of the NI USB device?
I am a little bit new with labview so take it slow

Report is not getting refreshed after changing prompts once again?

I am running some webi and deski reports using webi sdk also i'm handling the prompts of
report.
Problem is that if i ran the parametrized webi or deski report then my application shows the prompt page
then i fill all the prompt for the report it shows the data for selected prompt values.
But if i once again changed prompt values it shows data of previously selected prompt values not for
the currently changed prompt values. means reports not getting refreshed.
sometimes its work correctly.
What will be problem?
How can i resolve this issues?

Eigrp routes doesn't refresh when neighbor down

hi guys, need some tips for troubleshooting an ongoing issue, but can't do the changes anymore untill next call and yes the issue is still ongoing.

                   metro ethernet ME-3600X-A <----> ME-3600X-B <-----> ME-3600X-C<----> c3560v2
I have 3 metro ethernet switches and a c3560v2 switch connected as above. The WAN1 redistributes all routes to ME-3600X-A's eigrp and WAN2 redistributes all routes to c3560v2 's eigrp and these two propagates all their eigrp routes to ME-3600X-B and ME-3600X-C which are in the same eigrp AS. And all link/connections are point-to-point.
Now, when the link between ME-3600X-B <----> ME-3600X-C is physically disconnected, the ME-3600X-C's eigrp still points the route(s) to the ME-3600X-B's p2p ip as its next-hop - which is down(neighborship between them goes down, but still the routes doesn't refresh/rebuild). However, switch c3560v2 has route to the same network learnt from WAN2.
Wonder why, need inputs please? Thanks.

You shouldn't reference the CrystalReportViewer in the Page_Load handler, since there's issues with serialization of the report source:

Smartview refreshes whole sheet instead of just the grid selected.

Hello All,
Is it possible to refresh just selected rows in a sheet with different member combinations instead of the whole sheet? In other words I have
                   Member3 Member4
Member1           A             C
Member2           B             D
Is it possible to retrieve/refresh just the values of A and C. When I try it out in our environment by selecting the row that corresponds to A and C it refreshes the values of A and C and B and D as well. This does not happen with the classic add-in.
We are on 11.1.2.3 of Essbase/APS and smartview.

I found user10132385, Amarnath's suggestion useful. Once Multiple ad-hoc grids are enabled for the sheet I was able to do range based retrievals. But I agree with you that without having that enabled it is not possible (unlike with the add-in). Thanks to all of you for your replies.

TED podcasts are getting deleted

TED podcasts are getting deleted. I have been dealing with this for 2 days.
The Auto delete settings are no help. I download and then they get deleted with the next Refresh.
I am running Itunes 11.1.1 (11) 64 bit on OS X 10.8.5.
I think something needs to be updated in the podcasts headers?

Today iTunes downloaded the October 2013 event podcasts (SD and HD). I restarted iTunes and it started downloading the two files again (the SD and HD files). But before it started downloading the files it first deleted the existing podcasts (both SD and HD). It removed the folder and deleted all of the podcasts from the disk and the library.
I have several years of Apple Events in these podcasts.
And I'm running OSX 10.8.5 and iTunes 11.1.1.
I restore from Time Machine all of the podcast files as well as the iTunes library file from before everything was deleted. If I start iTunes with the network disconnected it does fine. I can plug the network in and it is fine. I can also then Refresh Podcast and they're both fine. Nothing gets deleted and nothing re-downloads. But if I start iTunes with the network plugged in, the two podcasts get completely deleted and it starts downloading the October 2013 event again.
Very frustrating. I guess I'm going to have to Unsubscribe the two podcasts so they don't get deleted again. At least I'm hoping they'll stay around.

I already tried this and changed the last row in my zfs.ncf to:

I don't have many distributions, in the moment I only use distributed
server policies for around 20 servers seperated into 3 channels.
Before the process will abend the server has around 90,000 total cache
buffers. During some processing the cache buffers decrease down to
12,000-13,0000 and then the ZfS process will terminate. This will happen
everyday around the same time, between 22:30 and 23:00. The regular
distribution schedule starts 22:00. There is no backup during this time.

Refresh Report BOEXI R1 Error

HI,
My client is using BOEXI R1 on Win 2003 server with Business Views.
There are 14 Parameters some Static and some Dynamic. AlL LOV's are controlled withing BV.
I'm trying to refresh reports for the parameters LOV's and then set the CMC Defaults.
I get the following error.

The BO has been installed on the E: drive and not the C: drive.
Is there a way to manually change the registers so that the CRPE32.dll points to the E: drive.
We do not want to install updates as this would invole large scale IT change control.

I have found a work arround for this problem.
Clearly the cause of the problem is the installation of BOEXI on a drive other than C:
I'm sure that BO support may know where to go to change BO settings.
I simply removed the line of code
' reportInterface.RefreshProperties()
I instructed that the users should use the Object Reprository Refresh on the Administrators Launch Pad before they use my ASP program to update the CMC Defult Parameters Current Values.
I hope Ted or someone from BO Support can advise where in BO settings the default directory settings are keept.

Various TED errors

We've got our lab setup and are experiencing further errors after
rebuilding the entire lab from scratch.
Setup:
NW6.5 running eDirectory
OES SP2 acting as the subscriber
We got to a point yesterday where we were creating MSI apps which were
being pulled in from a non NSS volume on the OES server. We had created
the MSI application objects and gone through the process of creating the
distribution and channel objects and saw this error in the log:

test-distro.ZFS.ZFS-LAB stopped with unknown error.
So we recreated the app with no MSI and the application object was
successfully distributed.
We thought it was something to do with where the MSI application was
being pulled in from.
So we created an NSS volume on the OES server, moved the apps to that
location and recreated the application object witn an MSI.
We then re-created the distribution object and channel, referenced the
application from the newly created NSS volume and refreshed the distributor.
We then saw these errors in the log files:

LV DSC 6.1: no tag refresh?

I am using DSC 6.1 with LabVIEW and have the following issue: in the tag configuration editor I define tags originating from both the LabVIEW OPC server example (National Instruments.OPCDemo) and the Kepware simulation server. In the tag monitor tool I can see that all tags' quality are "good" but only the LabVIEW OPC server example tags update continuously although other OPC clients software reveals that the Kepware tags also should change continuously. Now if I stop/start the tag engine I will get updated values (once) then it stops again refreshing. I set the deadband to 0 and it does not change anything. No noticeable tag definition differences between the LabVIEW server tags and the Kepware tags. Any clue would be much apprecia

Sorry, I was a bit in a rush so I was not attentive enough.
Here is another possible solution:
Change the OPC communication mode in DSC to synchronous communication for the Kepware server(default is asynchronous and some OPC servers don't work correctly using this method).
To do this navigate to Tools -> DSC Module -> Advanced -> Server Browser and click on the button labeled "OPC Client Settings".
Then hit the "View All" button and select the Kepware server from the list and hit the "Add" button.
Now your OPC server will appear in the Synchronous Communication list.

Error message "Error #2048" occurred while refreshing

Hi Expert,
When view the Xcelsius report in Mozilla Firefox and press the refresh button, an error message "Error #2048" occurred. But it works fine in IE.
#2048: Security sandbox violation: _ cannot load data from _.
Though I had added the crossdomain.xml into my Tomcat server, but error appeared again. Here is the detail of crossdomain.xml as below:

I'm assuming your crossdomain.xml file look like:

and that it's the forum software that's stripped out the asterixes.
Whenever I get #2048, I always ensure the correct crossdomain.xml is being retrieved by the web browser using a HTTP Analyzer/Debugger tool like [Charles|http://www.xk72.com/charles/]. Some (especially those running .NET and not Java on the client machine use [Fiddler|http://www.fiddlertool.com/fiddler/version.asp] but I haven't personally used that tool.
Also, when testing, I make sure I flush the cache on the client browser, to ensure old files and references are removed.

How to automatically refresh crystal report's viewer content

Hello,
How can I force a periodic reload of the contents of a report as displayed in crystal reports viewer? (without clicking anywhere)
The idea is simply to update the content of the screen with fresh data, that could be used as a monitoring screen.
The update must not require user intervention (no clicking, no prompting for parameters).
We are using a jsp page CrystalReportsViewer.jsp , CRJ update 2
I assume this is quite standard, and that there is a way using a javascript reload function, but I cannot find any example anywhere.
Does someone know how to do this?

There's no public API on the client-side JavaScript to trigger the refresh button, but I do know some people trap the HTTP traffic (using something like Fiddler or Charles) to figure out what to do, then inject JavaScript.
I personally don't have any sample codes for this.

Force LDAP refresh

How can I force an LDAP refresh using the Java SDK? I want to write something that adds a user to my mapped LDAP group and then have it call BO to refresh the group. I have found little to no documentation on this. I believe at some point I need to retrieve the secLDAP plug-in but beyond that I am stumped. Some steps or code samples would be most appreciated.

Something like the following worked with XI Release 2:

It' s both really. ICEfaces starts off with an architecture for updating the page. Once you have the ability to generally update the page, you start using a technique we call Direct-to-DOM rendering. Then you can build a bunch of interesting components around that. We also make use of some JavaScript libraries like Prototype and Script.aculo.us so that we can expose the capabilities of Script.aculo.us to the developer. Script.aculo.us is a really nice JavaScript API but what if you are not a JavaScript developer? Then you need a nice Java API for working with Script.aculo.us, so what we do is provide Script.aculo.us effects modeled in JSF so that the JSF developer can have drag and drop and effects capabilities.

Direct-to-DOM is the technique that ICEfaces uses to render the JSF components. The way it works is, instead of rendering to a stream as JSF normally would, ICEfaces components render into a document object model on the server. That allows us to efficiently detect just the changes to that DOM and send just the changes down to the browser. The ability to send just the changes to a browser page is one of the key user interface features of Ajax. When you interact with an Ajax application, you don' t want a full page refresh, you just want the page to be updated in place. This change detection through the Document Object Model on the server is a very effective way to do that.

Can not refresh view data in STRUST

I am using the JSP (STRUTS) for developing my App.
I get a list of contact. In bellow it, I make a link for each contacts.
When i view details of one contact. On click link below.
My pages:
listcontact.jsp
contactdetails.jsp
When i request a details of contact from list contact -> View successfull.
But when i refresh the contactdetails.jsp page. I got a message error:

Same EPM Excel Report takes time to open and refresh on 1 system while it opens and refreshes faster on other system

Hi All ,
I am facing an issue where the EPM Excel Templates on SERVER ROOT FOLDER take time to open on 1 system . It also takes great amount of time to REFRESH . While on an another system the same Report opens rather quickly and refreshes also quickly .

Now day excel problems are due to some MS update. Not sure but have a look at below note.
