Refund Process in FICA

Hi,
Our requirement for refund process is such that when a customer ask for refund first we have to check whether customer is move-in or non move-in.
We take 1000 Rs. deposit at the time of new registration and 4000 after move-in
Now in both cases the refund request has to be first approved by technical dept, billing dept, audit and then finally cheque is issued to customer by Finance dept.
Can anyone suggest me the process and how this request can be released stepwise by different department. We also want to post removal charges to customer which is to be adjusted against the deposit amount released.

Can you tell me with which tcode the refund request of a customer can be initiated which initiates the workflow we design.
I mean in which tcode the event 5504 is called.
Please explain me in details as I am new to FICA.

    Hello,
    You need to configure in posting areas 1320 & 1321 using FQC0.
    Later on create repayment request using FPTCRPO.
    Then run FPY1. I assume that you have already configured payment program for outgoing payment method.
    During FPY1 you need to select 'Repayment'.
    Alternatively assuming that your config for Payment program FPY1 is in place, you can refund an on account payment item <update it with outgoing payment method>. Now Run FPY1.

    We are trying to draw statistics on the refunds department in FICA like number of refunds processed, authorized, rejected, parked and also the currency value attached to it.
    Is there any standard report in FICA to pull out the refunds report.

  • Why is there no transparent refund process displayed on the App Store?

    There does not appear to be a transparent refund process of Apps. this should be displayed visibly. Many apps may not be fit for purpose and possibly contravene the sales of goods act and advertising standards. It is perhaps time this was challenged or has it already been challenged?

    Contact your mobile provider (Vodafone) customer support. They handle all AppWorld refunds and if they tell you they do not, press the issue and demand an escalation to RIM level tech support.

    When a refund is processed from AR to AP, is there a way to issue the check to a different name and not the name on the receipt?

    In R12... The usual steps of the process is
    1. Create Invoice.
    2. Apply to the receipt
    3. Create Credit Memo
    4. Apply the Credit Memo and Refund Receivable activity (You need to define this before hand) to the same receipt.
    5. This creates a funds disbursement request.
    6. This can be paid via Oracle Payments.
    Now to your question I would think that t you want to return it to a different party than the party which paid you.
    Is the first party factoring their receivables?
    I am thinking the answer would probably lie in factoring area.
    Logically I am thinking , I am selling it to A, and factoring the receivables to B.
    B pays me , and collects money from A after 30 days.
    31st day A returns the goods. They want money back.
    I create a refund request , I will pay the money to B , and ask them to return the Money to A.
    Is this a scenario which you are describing?

    We have a customer how overpaid their account by $1,000. What is the best (and easiest) way to process a refund check?

    Sorry to interrupt here. I have a question continueous from previous scenario.
    1) Customer Overpaid $1000. (Payment on Account)
    2) I return $600 to Customer via Outgoing Payment screen.
    3) Go to Link Payment to Invoices, the $1000 is still available to be offset with other future A/R Invoice.
    The other system users will misunderstand that there are still overpaid $1000 for this customer.
    In fact, the overpaid is left $400 only, what can I do to show the result correct on the screen?

  • Account Hacked! Refund process is a pain!!!

    My account is hacked by someone to make calls to Ukraine. The automatic bill pay I set up ended up refill my account for $70. I had numerous (via chat) discussion with Skype customer support (been a week and at least 5 attempts) and the issue still not resolved. I am pretty much stuck since the process has been very confusing and difficult to obtain a refund. In summary, I contacted the Customer Rep, they asked a few questions, then sent me to the "Security Department" Customer Rep, they asked a few questions then said they had to send you a "Security Release Form" via email. Then once I completed it, I waited. They usually say 24-48 hours for these types of issues. When I follow up after two days, they basically go through the same process, and said we need you to complete the Release Form again to verify and release the account. I have done this 5 times (at least). There are no continuity between each Rep. Everytime I had to start fresh explaining my situation. If anyone has experience with a similar issue, please let me know what is the best way to resolve the issue and obtain the refund. I am so fed up with the continuous chat discussion and numberous emails. I am no where close to resolving this issue. Any help would be much appreciated.

    I have just been similarly hacked and have lost $50 - figuring out how to reclaim those money is already a jungle, and I haven't even started. Have you had any luck since? I do not have $50 to spare, and I certainly hope they will do their best to help us get our money back.

  • Payment medium DME format for Cheque Refunds

    Dear Gurus,
    We have cheque Refund process in ISU FICA, cheques are not printed in SAP, instead data  will send to printwork bench via SAP PI  to print the cheques and distribute to customers,  which is handled by  3rd Party.
    In order to send the data we may  have to develop custom payment medium generate DME file,  I wanted to check with you if any one has an idea is there any SAP standard payment medium format or function module which enables less development.
    Would really appreciate your inputs and thoughts.
    I checked by copying International Payment medium CHECK and activated DME format, however am unsuccessful on put. DME file generated with no Data.

    There is no standard DME format for Chq Refunds as far as I know.
    In R/3, there is a standard program for Voyager<FCKR>. If you are looking for similar program in ISU, You need to go for customized program.
    Also if you want Text file for your Chq Refund, suggest you look into the format of Legacy to understand the format.
    If it is similar to BACS Refund file like VOL1, HDR1, HDR2 etc, you can copy the standard FMs

    FKK_PAYMEDIUM_BACWAY_20
    FKK_PAYMEDIUM_BACWAY_25

    and tailor suit to your requirements. But again, if this is only a text file for SAP PI, suggest you to look what they are expecting from SAP <like Chq no, amount,date, Customer number>.
    In that case you can write a program where it shall use the data base tables DFKKCR*, DFKKOP & FKKVKP.
    Coming to FPY1, you may see a DME entry in FDTA for Check but you cannot view it there as it is only a correspondece. Alternatively you can view in Spool.

    I was able to get a refund processed for storage I accidentally purchased by calling the above number ^^.
    It did take me three calls because the system is fully automated and it was difficult speaking an answer to any of the automated questions that would actually get me to a live person - the first time I was automatically hung up on for not replying; the second time I couldn't get past the automated system.  The third time I was finally transferred to a live person; and after being transferred to a second live person it took about 20 minutes to get the refund processed.  I'm hoping it goes through and will be watching my credit card statement closely for the next week.  Apple will call me back a week from today to ensure the refund was processed.

    I closed my account with Verizon Fios on July 2014, when I was asked to pay a full balance when we knew it would end with a credit balance of $76.08. Since then I have called multiple times, and each time the associate I spoke to told me that he/she had just requested my refund to be processed but were unwilling to give me a confirmation number. Some associates said it would takes 3/5 days, others said 1-2 weeks. Some associates said I would receive a check, others said it would be credit back into my bank account. These answers just didn't make sense after awhile, however all associates were unwilling to let me speak with supervisor. I just don't know if this somewhow impacted they're perfomances or if the supervisors were unwilliing to take ownership and resolve the issue. Regardless of the unnknown reasons behind all this delaying to simply refund the money in which I ,on time, overpaid you guys, it is clear that you need to fix your refund processing systems. I'm just not confident as a consumer to ever do business with Verizon Fios again after this experience. Still, I would appreciate it if someone at Verizon would go ahead and process my refund.

  • Creating refunds in CR&B and issuing the check in Accounts Payable (ERP)

    Hi experts-
    I'm on an implementation project where ERP and CR&B are being put in place, both being on the same SAP instance/ box. The current refund process calls for generating refunds on the customers' contract accounts in CR&B and issuing the checks out of AP. The check memo field is to include the customer's name, Contract Account # ,and service address.
    Is there a standard SAP process to accommodate for this requirement? If not, what custom program or interface could satisfy the requirement?
    I'd like to hear if anyone has done anything similar and what successful approach was followed.

    1. Take List of all applied Invoices of the Payment
    2. Check the status of those invoices. Each one of them should be in status 'Accounted'
    3. If not,Identify the problem with the Invoice and Clear that. The problem may be Invoice adjustment(adj to Paid invoices allowed).
    4. Try running Create Accounting again.
    5. If the problem persists still, it conveys us that the Transactions were struck in loop and can be resolved only by using UPDATE command.
    6. Contact Oracle for Data fix

  • R12 AR-Receipt Refund Error:ORA-01403 no data found

    That apply the receipt to refund and enter the refund attribute all are done well ,while I save it it dispalys a warning message:ORA-01403 no data found.
    Below is the statement message I get from the fndlog_messages_
    ar.plsql.ar_refund_pvt.create_refund     1 Errors found interfacing data to AP ...
    ar.plsql.ar_refund_pvt.create_refund     ACCT DATE NOT IN OPEN PD
    I have checked the AP period that the current period has been opened.,so I' m confused about what the problem is?Does anyone happen to this problem before?
    P.S. Can anyone explain what is the effect of IBY_DISBURSEMENT_SETUP_PUB.create_external_payee during the ar refund process ?

    Certainly the error suggests that this error is related to period either in AR or AP. Take a close look on dates used.
    IBY setup is called to create a party so that AP invoice can be created on that party. If you are refunding the a customer, and you do not want to create a vendor record to create one time refund (create an AP Invoice with the type as Payment Request). Hence this is called to create a party record to create AP invoice. Essentially we do not need a vendor to create an AP invoice using this method.
