Reg:- Customize Item Overview iView in Portfolio Management

Hi All,
We are using the following business packages in portal for SAP xRPM:
1. BP_PPM_DC 450.700 SP0
2. CPRXRPM_UI 450.700 SP8
We have the following requirements in Item Overview (based on WD for JAVA application - ItemDetailsApp) iView in xRPM:
1. Addition of 2 new fields
2. Provide Extended Value Selector (EVS) feature to the fields - "Sponsor", "Project Manager" and "Benefits Owner" in Item Overview
In order to realize this requirement, please let me know which of the above business packages I need to import into NWDS for making the changes to the WD for JAVA application.
I had read in one of the forum responses and customization can be done via SPRO configurations. Please let me know if it is possible to implement EVS and dropdown features through SPRO or should I go for customizing the WD for JAVA application?

Hi Pavithra,
For your requirement of Adding two new fields to Item Overview. You need to follow these steps:
Go to your PPM backend systems and go to transaction SPRO.
Go to SAP xAPP Resource and Portfolio Management option
Go to Global Customising
Go to Global Field Settings
Go to Assign Fields to Tab Pages
Create a Custom field here and then you will see it in Additional Information Tab
If you want to display it in some other tab follow these steps after the above ones.
Select the object type in which you want to maintain the groups by using input help .
Choose New Entries.
Select the Tab Page ID by using input help and enter the Group ID.
Save your settings.
Select a row in the Define Tab Page Group view and choose the Assign Fields to Groups view.
Enter the position in the Field Pos. column where this field has to be displayed within this group.
Save your entries.

Please clarify on following points to answer your query regarding MDM item details iview:
a) Is it standard SAP content?
b) create is getting disabled - Is create button visible for you or not visible to anybody? If not, check in PCD what are the authorizations required
c) customisation - What do you mean by this?
If you want to create custom details screen, it is possible. Steps to be followed for this :
i) Go to result set view of the respective entity
ii) create 'on row select' event and pass id through the event
iii) subscribe to the event in your custom developed application
iv) capture the id and fetch the data from MDM based on data fetched

Uanble to locate the Appraisals Overview iview

We are implementing MSS and I am uanble to locate the Appraisals Overview iview (in Performace management) under the team workset.
For Appraisal in Process I created a BSP iView but for Appraisals Overview I have no clue where to find it.
We are in EP 7.0, ECC 6.0 (NW2004s SR2).
Can anyone please let me know how to enable the Appraisal Overview under Performance Management iview under the team workset?

Creation of additional drop downs in 'Item overview' tab page on portal

Hi,
I would like to know how do we add additional fields/drop downs on the xRPM portal in the 'Item Overview' tab page.
For eg:
We are having TECHNOLOGY TYPE field at Item overview tab page in xRPM portal - Portfolio Management view. Wherein we can have different dropdown values for selection.
Question 1 -> Can we have similar dropdown created on the same page? If yes, how?
Question 2 -> If we want to create more than one such dropdowns with their own defined dropdown values, can we maintain the dependency between them ?

I went through the document on the mentioned by you.
But my requirement is a bit diiferent.
I want to have 3 different drop downs with a numeric field attached to them.The sum of these numeric fields should always be 100 (two values are manually selected but the third value should be calculated automatically based on the previously selected values).
Example,
I select 10 as a value for Drop down 1, 40 for drop down2 then for the drop down3 the value should populate automatically as 50 (100 - (10+40)).i.e. the sum being 100.
Can you or any one please help me with this.
Also I am not sure how do we give multiple options for selection (like 10,20,..50 etc upto 100) for a drop down.

Error in XRPM Portfolio Management- My Portfolio Object screen

Hi All,
The upgradation has been done from XRPM 4.0 to XRPM 4.5.
In, XRPM 4.0, in the Portal screen, under Portfolio management role the workset name was Item Management but after the upgradation to XRPM 4.5, this workset has been changed and named as My Portfolio Objects.
Now, when i click on this My Portfolio Objects link under Portfolio Management, i'm getting below error -
Configure link to show as startup page Change Portfolio
Now, i checked spro->sap xrpm->global customization->process & service setting->define navigation but it seems all the links are present there.
Please help whether i need to do anything from Portal side or need to do something from backend?

The problem was with the port number i had given in system alias ("Connector") ... check out what is the port number you have given in SAP_XSS system alias..you should give the same port number as the one in ur portal URL and it should not be 8000...
also after this i reconfigured UWL to make sure it doesnt give any surprises;-)

Getting error when creating a RFQ in MM module" create rfq item overview"

Hi,
i am a beginer in SAP administration, users are getting this error message and i have done all my research and not able to resolve this issue.
This error i am getting when creating a RFQ in MM module and when trying to save the screen "create rfq item overview" then it gives me a pop up box message " SAP SYSTEM MANAGER: WORK PROCESS RESTARTED, SESSION TERMINATED".
Here are the details of teh system
SAP Version :ideas 4.7
Database :Oracle
OS : windows 2003
Module user is working on MM
user working on it is a Super user with all the permissions
SAP is configure to run under the European date and decimal format.
I have never done any database administration on it, it is a new install and has been rarely used.
User creates a RFQ and when he tries saving it , seems like for the first time after either restarting the macine or restarting the service it might work and at time it might not, this is a very sporadic error and most of the times it crashes out with the message "sap system manager:work process restarted, session terminated" and kicks the user out of the session.
Below are the details of the error message from ST22 :

The termination occurred in the ABAP program "SAPLCLSC" in "EXECUTE_SELECT".

i even tried increasing the dialog processes but with no use.The same error occurs.

Hi Mudessir,
With the help of ABAP'er try the following.
1. open the program 'LCLSCF2G' from SE38.
2. Keep a break point at line no: 131.
There is 'END SELECT' statement which is getting failed at line no 131 in the program.
Try to analyse the SY-SUBRC at that point.
If your technical consultant can't solve this, write to SAP OSS (service.sap.com).
I have searched SAP OSS, there are other situations, but your case is not there. So write to SAP if technical consultant can't solve it by debugging the program.

MIGO - Item Overview Field Columns

Dear all,
I've an issue on my company's Dev system whereby in the standard MIGO transaction screen, the Item Overview section (the middle table) seems to be missing columns starting from "Material Short Text" all the way until before "Text" column. Meaning, upon entering the MIGO screen, you'll see "Text as the first column under the Item Overview section.
May know if there's any setting within SPRO to unhide or bring back the original layout? I've check the enjoy selection field settings under Inventory Management but none seems to be affecting the Item Overview section.

Hi,
See any variant is saved and used in MIGO screen .OK. Now use t.code in MIGO, at "Item Overview" level, you will get a button as "Configuration" at the right end of the table {This button is mix of YellowBlueWhite colours}. Click "Configuration" button , you will have small pup-up screen and again click Administrator ,now you will have another pup-up screen. Check "Material Short Text" (GOITEM-MAKTX) is made as invisible by selecting check box, if yes, then remove check box & active.

MSS Status overview iview Objective Settings & appraisals

Hi All,
Currently the status overview Iview of MSS for appraisals display all the employees(in org unit) irrespective of whether the employee/appraisee has existing documents. This is because this Iview also has the functionality of creating the appraisal documents from here.
In our case we don't create appraisal documents from this Ivew, so we hide the "In Preparation".
Now the question is we want to filter the employees and display only those who has appraisal documents already created. How could we achive this?
All we need is: We wanted to give an view to higher level manager with all the employees who has apprisal documents in completed status and he need to just approve/reject. Is there any other way we can achive this with out using the Status Overview Iview. I am not able to locate any bsp which serves this purpose from HAP_DOCUMENT.
Please adive me, how can I achive this.

Hi All,
How to customize the creation iview (NEW menu) for Custom Repository Manager?
For example if we try to use New submenu under folder option for CM repository instance documents manager then we have lots of option like creation of (folder,upload,textfile,htmlfile,link,external link, Form), where as if you try to use New submenu for ume instance, it has very less customized option.
In fact how do I add the creation of some new type other that specified one in New submenu?, or remove one for my repository from the menu?

Status overview iView not refreshed for performance documents on MSS

Hi Experts,
We are using the standard portal business package for Manager Self Service. However, recently, we found out that one iView was working before suddenly stopped working. This is the Status Overview iView for Maintain Performance Documents. When searching for the performance appraisal documents for a group of direct report employees, the status overviewtable is not refreshed. Although we do have the appraisal documents in
R/3, the iView shows 0 results.
we use MSS 600 SP 8 BP

Cannot save data in item details iview (validations, calculation problem)

Hello,
I'm unable to save data in an item details iview. It complains about validations or calculated fields according to error message below.
I am however able to save data directly in data manager and I have no automatic excutions (set to None) on my validations.
So I guess I have to check calculations, or?

Hi Olof,
From the error message, it seems that the new created record is " Failing a Validation".
From the Data Manager you can save a record , when automatic executions set to None.
But the same will fail when it is added to a validation group and that group is used in the Item Details Iview while creating a record.
Please update the status.

Setting tab POrtfolio management default

I have a questions on my POrtal I have four tabs
1.- Consta (Customazing)
2.- Project Management
3.- Portfolio Management
4.- Designer Colaboration
When I open the portal, the default tab is Consta, and I need to change the default tab will be the Portfoluio Mangement tab.
Where can I to find information about this taks??

If you want the first tab (on the left) being Portfolio Management, then just change the sort priority for that role. If you still want the same sequence of tabs but make Portfolio Management the first visible, then you can make a quicklink for one of the iViews in the Portfolio Management role and then start the portal with that quicklink.

Show columns in Quota overview iView

Hello,
We would like to show all columns in Quota Overview iView. We can see all columns in report RPTARQUIATEST in R/3.
But only 5 columns are displayed in the Webdynpro, but in the personalization (ctrl+clic) we can see 14 columns (the same as in in report RPTARQUIATEST) with all the properties visible=true.
Please, could you tell me where can I customize this columns from R/3 so as to be displayed in portal?

Display MDM key mapping information in EP Item Detail iViews

Hi,
in my repository I have the main table 'customer' including key mapping information for several client systems (master data consolidation scenario).
The customer data is diplayerd in EP using the Item Details iView. I'd additionally like to display the key mapping information in Item Details iView, for example as a separate tabstrip. Is this feature already supported by the Item Details iView? How can I implement it?
I'm using MDM 5.5 SP3 / EP6.0 SP14.

Hi Martin,
Currently iView do not support the functionality to disply the key mapping information.
Workaround I implemented is that, added a field "source system" to main table with type lookup. Added lookup table "source systems" with list of names of client systems. This helps user search data based on client system name.

As the link that RamKi let us know, this is a modification, so, I suggest to avoid. See SAP Note 862228 - Order reason for returns on item level for further information. I suggest to use the other enhancements in tabs.
