Reg: Display a new jsp after selectsoldto.jsp in B2B application

Hi all,
Just when i log into B2B application..after I select the Shop ..i get the list of sold to parties. Once I select the sold to party, I want to display a brand new jsp.
What changes I have to make in config.xml file? The entries of config.xml file looks like this.
<action path="/b2b/selectsoldto" type="com.sap.isa.isacore.action.b2b.SelectSoldToAction">
<forward name="selectsoldto" path="/b2b/login/selectsoldto.jsp"/>
<forward name="readsoldto" path="/b2b/readsoldto.do"/>
</action>
<action path="/b2b/readsoldto" type="com.sap.isa.isacore.action.b2b.ReadSoldToAction">
<forward name="success" path="/b2b/selectcatalog.do"/>
<forward name="failure" path="/b2b/selectsoldto.do"/>
<forward name="soldtoexist" path="/appbase/message.jsp"/>
</action>
Can some one suggest ..what changes should i make. I guess i have to interetpt the action flow with a new Z action.
Could some one assist me in this.
Regards,
Aarlin.

Hey Arshi,
Thanks for whole lot of information. I have a better understanding now.
I tried replacing the code in config.xml, and i can see that after i selcect the sold to party, I can call my new jsp.
But the problem is, instead of welcome.jsp, I can see my new tes.jsp, but I still see the b2b/organizer-nav-doc-search.jsp and appbase/genericsearch.jsp (SearchCriteria_B2B_Sales)
I dont want them in left hand side. My test.jsp should have the same layout as that of b2b/login/selectsoldto.jsp and after this jsp...i have to display test.jsp and there should not be b2b/organizer-nav-doc-search.jsp and appbase/genericsearch.jsp (SearchCriteria_B2B_Sales) on left hand side.
Also once the user selects the Ship to..i have to display the welcome.jsp. Also I have to freeze the Ship to party.
I should not give user to select the Ship to party again. For this I am thinking I can put the ship to party in session and make it available in all jsp pages and restrict the ship to party...but this is secondary..
Now my primary aim is to create a new test.jsp with same look and fee and layout as of selectsoldto.jsp and the flow should be as follows
selectsoldto.jsp-->test.jsp--->Welcome.jsp...
Also I should not see b2b/organizer-nav-doc-search.jsp and appbase/genericsearch.jsp (SearchCriteria_B2B_Sales) on left hand side when displayiong test.jsp..but should be able to see them when displaying welcome.jsp.
That is in standard flow i have to just insert a test.jsp after selectsoldto.jsp and before welcome.jsp and b2b/organizer-nav-doc-search.jsp and appbase/genericsearch.jsp (SearchCriteria_B2B_Sales) shhould reamin on left hand side when welcome.jsp is loaded.
Will be waiting for you reply..please let me know if you have some thoughts on this kind of a scenario.
Regards,
Aarlin.

I have been using Lightroom 4.4 successfully for over 2 years. Just tried to import some new photos after a vacation and the application crashes when I click "import" every time. Tried restarting computer. Version says it is up to date.
How do I get formal support for this from Adobe?

Thanks for the response. The application was crashing. A Windows message was displayed showing "Lightroom.exe has stopped working", "Windows can check online for a solution the problem.". Etc.
I just launched Lightroom to check the exact message for this reply - and the Import worked. It had failed dozens of times before.

Hi Scott,
I am facing the same problem. I have created one application process with process condition On New Session: After Authentication. In this application process i am checking for :app_user in particular table, if the person does not exist i am inserting a record in to the table. But every time :app_user is having null value with On New Session: After Authentication process condition. It is working fine for remaining process conditions.
Thanks in advance for your help

• How to make browser aware of new URL after JSP:forward

When I use JSP:forward (or pageContext.forward() for that matter) to forward from a.jsp to b.jsp, the browser still seems to think he's at a.jsp. Assumably because the request for the new URL didn't originate with the browser. This causes problems when I try to use relative URL's in b.jsp (the forwarded URL) since the client kindly tries to resolve them for me using the wrong base URL.
For example:
I log in at <mysite>/Security/login.jsp.
Here, I do some login magic and then forward to /Accounts/index.jsp.
The state of the browser is now:
a) the URL is <mysite>/Security/login.jsp
b) the page displayed is <mysite>/Accounts/index.jsp
Is there a better mechanism I can use to keep browser URL and displayed page synched up?
BTW, in this simplified example I could use JavaScript history.go(-1) to let the browser do the forwarding itself. This won't work in my actual scenario because I actually forward to a page stored in the session several requests back.
Any help would be very much appreciated!
Andy

Assumably because the request for the new URL didn't originate with >the browserThis is correct.
One way for the browser to show the URL is by using a sendRedirect() after doing all the necessary processing. But you will loose all request attributes during a sendRedirect(). To overcome this, after you have done all processing and are ready to process the accounts jsp, you can put the required info in the session. The accounts jsp can get the info from the session instead of from the request, and then reset these in the session to prevent further use.

• How to display data containing CDATA tags in JSP/HTML?

Hi,
I'm getting some data from a webservice and displaying it in JSP. But some data from the service (like description of an item) contains CDATA tags.
For ex: This is the data from the webservice.
<BenefitsIssues>This strategy buys after a very rapid or extreme sell off with the hope that the gap will eventually be filled.
Typically, traders following these types of strategies expect some very large losses as downtrends continue.
Traders should take only very small positions when trading this strategy and never dedicate more than a small amount of risk capital in aggregate to this strategy.</BenefitsIssues>
where <BenefitsIssues> is the XML tag. My code displays everything within this tag in JSP.
Code is JSP looks like this.

<%=strategyDescriptor.getBenefitsIssues()%>

Eventually the HTML output of this JSP looks like..

![CDATA[This strategy buys after a very rapid or extreme sell off with the hope that the gap will eventually be filled.
Typically, traders following these types of strategies expect some very large losses as downtrends continue.
Traders should take only very small positions when trading this strategy and never dedicate more than a small amount of risk capital in aggregate to this strategy.]]

Problem is that the page fails to display the first line, "This strategy buys after a very rapid...." and starts displaying only from "Typically, traders following these....", i.e after the occurrence of first
tag. Page also displays "]]" at the end.
How I can get rid of this problem? One way is to remove "![CDATA[" and "]]" from the data received from webservice. I would like to know if any other better solutions is there. Is there any predefined function to remove "![CDATA[" ?
Thanks in advance for the help.

• HOWTO: Display a custom image on a jsp page

You need 4 files.
1. a jsp page (index.jsp)
2. A servlet (myPackage.ImageMaker)
3. A supplier class (myPackage.PluggableSupplier)
4. web.xml (your IDE should supply this)
From the jsp page you're calling the servlet with an tag, and passing it some parameters.
The servlet obtains a BufferedImage from a pluggable supplier class, and returns with an image (png).
The image is displayed on the jsp page. Hope this helps!

finally, your web.xml should look like this:

<web-app version="2.4" xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/j2ee" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/j2ee http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/j2ee/web-app_2_4.xsd">

<servlet-name>ImageMaker</servlet-name>
<servlet-class>myPackage.ImageMaker</servlet-class>
</servlet>
<servlet-mapping>
<servlet-name>ImageMaker</servlet-name>
<url-pattern>/ImageMaker</url-pattern>
</servlet-mapping>
<session-config>
<session-timeout>
30
</session-timeout>
</session-config>
<welcome-file-list>
<welcome-file>
index.jsp
</welcome-file>
</welcome-file-list>
</web-app>null

Another trick I learned (the hard way ;))...it's a good idea to buffer the output before responding. Add the following code to the servlet, in the case of the provided example, where all the other response-related stuff are done:
response.setBufferSize(yourBufferSize);It's a good idea to try and calculate the buffer size as accurately as possible.

• How can I display a new scene in JavaFX 2.2? For example after button click

how to display new scene after button click in the main window, I want the main window and the new scene are in one stage. thx

You can change the scene by calling stage.setScene(new Scene(newContentParent));
I don't think you are quite asking for a complete scene change though as you "want the main window and the scene in one stage". The main window is a stage (as Stage extends Window). And a given stage can only contain one scene at a time (though you can swap it out by calling setScene as described earlier).
What I think you are really asking for how can you replace some content part of the active Scene on the Stage. To do that you can set a layout manager like a HBox or a BorderPane as the root of your scene, then change out the content of the layout manager. For example:
final BorderPane layout = new BorderPane();
layout.setCenter(new Label("Dogbert");
final Button nav = new Button("Next");
layout.setLeft(nav);
nav.setOnAction(new EventHandler<ActionEvent>() {
@Override public void handle(ActionEvent actionEvent) {
layout.setCenter(new Label("Dilbert"));
});In the above short sample code, if you wanted to change the scene rather than the a pane, then you would call stage.setScene rather than layout.setCenter.
There is a complete executable example with multiple content panes and some styling here:

• How to add a new field in order.jsp

Hey,
I want to add a new field in order.jsp. How to store that data into backend?

If you are adding a header field then you will extend the header structure in CRM and do the same with Item structures for Item fields. You will use EEWB or similar technique in the CRM backend to extend the header or item.
These extended fields in the backed are available in customer_h or _i structures in the order object that can be read and modified in the Header BAdI or Item BAdi.
If you think that this message is cryptic or not enough, then you should search for Extension Guide in this forum and read the document.

I am unable to display the images in excel using jsp. I can display the data. but cannot display the images. It is simply showing the icon without the image. Is there any way to display the images. Pls give some sample code to display the images in excel.
Thanks in advance.

Presumably whoever created the images in that Excel document just put links to somewhere on their hard drive. Those links don't mean anything when you put the document on somebody else's computer, which is what you are doing. At least, that is my guess.
You could spend some time looking at the Excel file to see how the images were put in there. Or you could ask the person who put the images in there.

• Displaying bulky ResultSet page wise, in jsp!

Hello Guyes,
I am back to the most asked problem again! I have a massive resultset of 5,000 records and I want to display it page wise in my jsp with giving 'Next' and' Back' buttons. I can open the resultset on each page as it will kill my application and server!
Pls help and give a simple solution in which I can do it!
It is very urgent!
Thanks,
- Rahul

USE a Scrollable ResultSet object and put it in the session. Keep a variable that identifies where in the resultset ur pointer is at any point of time.
Scrollable ResultSets are a feature only available with JDBC 2.0 onwards... so make sure u have THAT first.
Create a Statement like this...
Statement st =
con.createStatement(ResultSet.SCROLLABLE);
Then run the query n store it in the resultset
ResultSet rs = st.executeQuery(sql);
Then move ur pointer to any record u want with methods present in the ResultSet interface:
relative(int rows) that takes you 'rows' rows ahead.
absolute(int row) that takes your pointer to the 'row'th ROW.
Make sure u use 'refreshRow()' so u have the latest content at any point of time. This refreshes the contents in that row. there is also something called refresh() BUT THAT would minimise performace.
Store this resultset object in the session and call it in each page u want starting with the record number u want to. !!
Hope this helps... aXe!

• Firefox 4 stops opening new windows after browser window dragged to second display

Firefox 4 stops opening new windows after browser window dragged to second display. It's weird. Behavior is fine until I drag any browser window to the attached second display, and after this point it stops opening new windows but will still open new tabs in the same window. Restart fixes it until I drag the window back to the second display.
"Show all bookmarks" stops working too--won't open a new window.
This is after clean reinstall with total deletion of any Firefox/Mozilla folders and the previously installed app and a restart of the computer.
Mac OS X 10.6.7
Firefox 4

Pretty sure this is either:
'''Bug 644733'''
or
'''Bug 609405'''
(...and they may be reporting the same thing.)

Check the Apache and Jserv log files You might need to bounce Apache puttinh log=true in jserv.properties file and try to fix error message you get Jserv OR apache log file.
