HAI ALL,
i am doing upgrade project from versin 4.6c tp ecc6.0
they are define macro like this:
define macro_write.
statements....
end-of-definition.
but its showing the upgrade error like
Macro Name in Type Group must be Prefixed with Type Group Name
could any body suggest me what is the solution.

I think you put your indicator upside down.
0 to 30 should be error and avobe 51 information.
Another comments: to check if the macro is working: after running it, in interactive or background, check table /SAPAPO/AM_ALERT to see if you can see the alert or not.
If you can see the alert in the table but not in the profile, then the issue is your profile; if you can't see your alert in the table neither, then the issue is the alert creation in the macro...

How to export data from webdynpro to Excel and start a Excel macro

Hello All
I want to export data displayed in the Web dynpro ALV into Excel. I have tried the ALV export function but my problem with it is when it does export to excel the data loses formatting and I have long text in columns which display with wrapping in ALV but when exported to excel it loses formatting.
So I want to define a custom button and when user presses on this button the excel export is called with a macro. Can you kindly share ideas how I can do this from a webdynpro.

However what is exported into excel is awful. It does not contain my data in nice columns... Instead it shows a lot of meta-data.
Please let me know what to do to kick the standard Export button in the correct direction.. that is...to have my nice table in same way in Excel, because that is my intention with "Export to excel"

The macro "repoNewquery cannot be found" in SAP BW BEx

Hi,
when i attempt to open BEx analyzer, the following error message is displayed in SAP BW 3.5 NW platform.
"c:\programfiles\SAP\frontend\BW\SAPbex.xla!repoNewquery'
cannot be found.
I tried in the tool menu bar of MS excel to change the security status of the macro to the medium instead of high as was suggested in the pop up screen help. But it was of no use as i got the above error after changing .
Any suggestions folks?

Go to c:\programfiles\SAP\frontend\BW.
OPen the file SAPbexc.xla.
If click "Start" button it will tell which components are not installed properly.
Check the 2 sheets PC as well as server.
One more thought : GO to control panel-Add/Remove Programs and RUN the Microsoft Office Repair.This will repair all the corrupted dlls.

Exporting macro along with data - BEx web

Hi,
I have to send BEx web data along with a macro. The purpose is every report user down loads in his desktop gets an unique macro along with the data. The user can later use that macro for further analysis of the downloaded data.
I was reading through the How to Use Web Printing with Microsoft Excel document which details about various objects such as Packages and ABAP classes. The ABAP class ZCL_RSR_XLS_ITEM_TEMPLATE contains methods such as SET_ITEM,RENDER_DATA,LOAD_TEMPLATE_FROM_DB,GET_TEMPLATE...etc. My question is whether these class and mehtods can it be enhanced to include a macro ???

My end users are not happy with Web printing so they have decided to go with exporting web report an excel sheet. But once the data been collected in excel sheet many of the users wld like to have some mechanism to strip that exported excel data into multiple sheets. so that is the reason its been decided to send the generic macro to end users who exports the BEx report to an excel sheet and process it....

Macro to open and save as a value in a cell

How can I create a macro (I've named it Test) that will:
1.bring up the open dialogue box (to allow the user to choose a file)
2.save the file, with the file name determined by the text in cell A3 in .xlsx format

Memory usage of excel stays high after Macro is executed and excel crashes after trying to close it

I'm trying to resolve an issue with an excel based tool. The macros retrieve data from an Oracle database and do calculations with the data. They also open and write into files in the same directory. The macros all run and finish the calculations. I can
continue to use and modify the sheet. I can also close the workbook, however excel memory usage I see in the windows Task manager stays elevated.If I close Excel it says: Excel stopped working and then it tries to recover information...
I assume something in the macro did not finish properly and memory was not released. I would like to check what is still open (connection, stream or any other object) when I close the workbook I would like to have a list of all still used memory. Is there
a possibility to do so.

function. This function retrieves data (sets it as arrays) which was correctly pasted into the sheet, loops through all rows and does math/calendar calculations with cell values using an Add-In("Quantlib")

Help needed in Macro

Hello Experts,
I am creating a macro, where the requirement is; user would select few columns of a KF & hit on a macro.
The values in the KF should get multiplied by 2.
Any clue how should I add ( *2) functionality in operation / function ?. Any other suggestion is welcomed.

Hi Rahul,
You can set the macro to run for few period.
1) In the step of the macro, select the period you want to run
2) Within the step, Results row (Key figure row 'XXX") = Key figure row 'XXX" * 2 (remember to maintain a space between * and 2)
3) Check the macro for any error, which would help you for any inconsistencies
4) activate the macro to test your requirement.

Word templates with Macros

Dear all,
I have a couple of Word templates (in document libraries) that should have the filename and page count on the footer of the front page. It seams there is an issue with Word that these do not automatically update (MS kb 832897).
I am using word 2010, 64 bits.
This is solved with a Macro.
When placing the word with macro template in SharePoint, SP blocks it and the macros are not ran.
Any one with experience on this?

It is not possible to run a macro in SharePoint after the document has been uploaded.
You can replicate this scenario by creating a SPItemEventReceiver which will run customized code on ItemAdded in your document library.

Mail can't send email from 123-reg accounts

Hi all,
I've got an issue with Mac Mail can’t send email from 123-reg accounts.
I know there is a lot of articles on simular matters and some I have tried out with no luck, others are just speaking a whole other language.
Any help would be greatly recived, here's my situation below:
Running a iMac 2.8GHz Intel Core i5 on OS X 10.8.3
I’m using 3 accounts on Macs Mail client, one is my iCloud account that is working fine and the other two are my 123-reg accounts that I use for business purposes. I’ve been working like this for a couple of years now and about 6 months ago I upgrade my operating system from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion.
2 or 3 months ago I randomly got a problem where I was unable to send any emails from my 123-reg account, I could only receive emails. I checked my settings and they were all correct and unchanged so I attempted to delete them and recreate the account but with no such luck.
I then decided to check if it was a problem at 123-regs end and attempted to log into web mail. This worked and was able to both send and receive emails so eliminated that possibility.
I also have these accounts set up on my iPhone, so checked if there was any issues and everything was working fine. I then checked my iphone details and made sure the same was on my desktop and still no such luck.
I’ve tried out some of the articles I’ve found on here (the ones written in plain English) still no results. I’m not very IT illiterate and just wondered if anyone else has got any ideas, whether there is something specific with 123-reg accounts and Mac Mail?

Can I launch a Macro from an IF statement in a Bus. Rule?

I am trying to write IF logic in a business rule to run a macro based on a Planning form-driven variable. However, my rule will not validate. For example:

So the issue isn't the IF statement, it's the calc block. You cannot insert macros into calc block statements. And since a calc block statement is required for using IF, a macro can't be used within an IF.

Urgent help needed on Macros

Hi APO Gurus...
I want to know how to use Drill_Up and Drill_ Down macros in batch jobs. they work beautifully in interactive mode, but when processed in batch jobs they drill up only for the particular CVC's at the aggregated level specified in the job. We are selecting all the characteristics in the aggregation level while creating the job. Then we want to drill up on particular characteristic. We are using a collective macro with first macto for drill up and second macro for calculations at the aggregated level. It works fine in interactive mode but drill_up doesnt seem to work in batch jobs.

Hi,
You should not be using DRILL_UP and DRILL_DOWN functions in background jobs. Whatever processing you need to do after DRILL_UP should be a separate macro and that should be executed in background at the desired aggregation level (set for the job).
There is no point in using a collective macro with a DRILL_DOWN, processing and DRILL_UP steps in background job.

what is the difference between user exit and macros in funcitonalilty?
is there an issue transporting the macro to Prod for end users to use?

Macros offer a powerful and flexible way to extend the features of MS Excel. You can either create a macro using VB code or Record a macro. Use Alt+F11 for creating macro using VB code.
