Reg:protocol used in XI

Hi,
After the message is sent from integration engine to advanced adapter engine, through which protocol the AAE receives the message.whether it is XI protocol or HTTP protocol.
pls let me know when XI protocol is used and when HTTP protocol is used in XI for communication across different components (AE->IS->AE)
Regards
chandrakanth

Hi Chandrakanth,
Server will use xi protocol while sending message within server between server components(Integration Engine to BPM etc). So it will uses the XI adapter to transfer message between two components with in the system.
thanks,
madhu

What is the protocol used in this input stream?I think SMB.

  • HTTP PROTOCOL used in XI by default

    Hi All,
I exported a wsdl file from XI and I want to use that wsdl to invoke the service in XI.
I am using xml spy to test that wsdl. When I run it, it prompts me to enter user id & password & i do the same. The service gets executed. But now i am writing my own client program in axis..so how should i set authentication information.Do i need to set something in the wsdl in XI so that i will be able to set the authentication info.
Can you tell me what is the default http protocol used by XI??
    Thanks,
    Archana

    HI,
You have to enter the User, pwd.

  • Protocol used by Oracle Financials

    hi!
We have a product that monitors network traffic.Does anyone know the protocol used by Oracle Financials to talk with an App Server via a Web Browser??The sniffer trace I took shows encrypted data.
    Thanx

Well,  Klatch I was asking for the net protocol that is used by the WRT160NL to share the contents of the USB drive attached. FAT32 and NTFS are filesystems "local" to the hard disks. Any way, thank you for your interest!
kevj, the problem is that I want to connect an old XBOX to the hard disk attached to the router, and the console is wirelessly connected through an AP to the router. The main net protocol supported by the XBOX is Samba, but as far as I know, it's not the best net protocol to share large video files. It's very useful to share "standard" files, as documents, images, etc, but not very optimum when we talk of 4GB files... Anyway, I'll make another try to connect by SMB and I'll tell you my results... Thank you very much for your help!

  • What protocol used?

    Hi,
I'd like to know what protocols are used for communication in these cases:
    - Application Client using an EJB
    - Servlet in the same J2EE server using an EJB
    - EJB in the same container using another EJB
    - EJB in a different container using an EJB
    - EJB in another J2EE server using an EJB
Maybe you know some online ressorce where I can find the answers, too?
    TIA
    Frank

I'd like to know what protocols are used for
    communication in these cases:
    - Application Client using an EJBThe standard requires that EJB containers support RMI over IIOP as the remote protocol used to communicate to an EJB.
    - Servlet in the same J2EE server using an EJBThis depends on a number of factors. The general answer is RMI over IIOP. However, containers may choose to optimize out some or all of the RMI protocol including argument and result marshalling based on vendor-specific settings, deployment structure (are the EJB's and Servlets in the same EAR?), etc.
    - EJB in the same container using another EJBThis would, if configured properly (and depending on vendor, even if local interfaces are not defined), use local (i.e. roughly normal Java) calling semantics provided that the definition of "container" is taken to mean that the EJB's are deployed within the same EJB jar file.
    - EJB in a different container using an EJBThis would tend to behave identically to the Servlet-to-EJB case above.
    - EJB in another J2EE server using an EJBIn this case the EJB's are nothing more than a client of another EJB, so they would behave exactly as the first case.

  • Implementing SPI protocol using PXI-7833R

    Hello everyone,
I'm trying to implement SPI protocol using PXI-7833R, so that it should behave as a SPI master and should be able to communicate with a SPI device (treated as slave).
Now I already found an example, but the problem is, this example uses cRIO-9103 as FPGA target and in my case I'm going to use PXI-7833R as FPGA target, and when I'm changing the target (from cRIO-9103 to PXI-7833R), I dont know how to map I/O's listed under 'Chassis I/O' (under cRIO) to the new target (which is PXI-7833R).
I am not allergic to Kudos, in fact I love Kudos.

    Hi All,
Somehow I was able to change the target (from cRIO to PXI-7833R).... but now I'm getting an error while trying to compile the code.
    The error description is:
"Multiple objects are requesting access to a resource through a resource interface from both inside and outside the single-cycle Timed Loop, which is not supported.
Place all objects requesting access to the resource interface either inside or outside the single-cycle Timed Loop."

  • Can i implement RS422 protocol using 7831 RIO card

please tell if i can implement RS422 protocol using NI FPGA card. Also please help me on how to do the same...

You can definitely implement the RS-422 protocol on the FPGA card. Check out the RS-232 on FPGA example on DevZone. RS-422 may be a bit different than RS-232, but not very much. The main thing you will have to deal with are the voltage levels of the signal. The FPGA DIO are single-ended 3.3V TTL, while RS-422 is a differential voltage signal. So to have a true RS-422 interface you will need to add a signal translator between the FPGA card and your RS-422 device(s).

  • Protocols used in MI

    Hi ,
I require some info. regarding the communication protocols used in MI i.e. MI uses only HTTP or is there any other ways through which a mobile device can communicate with the SAP server.
    regards
    shiva

    hi shiva,
MI uses HTTP as its transfer protocol; also HTTPS is supported.
regarding the data format, the base protocol is the GenericSync protocol and also
the SmartSync protocol, an XML based protocol which works on top of GenericSync.
the data format for both GenericSync and SmartSync are not published publicly,
but you can trace it by looking at trace logs and by looking on the http raw data.
if you have online connection, you can make use of JCo to communicate directly
with SAP system. but this is however off the MI domain. still you can integrate it
    into your MI apps.
    hope this help

  • How do I find out the printing protocol used for a printer?

In System Preferences > Print & Scan, double-click a printer and click on the Printer Setup button.
Under the General tab, in Snow Leopard it used to list the printing protocol / url used to connect to a printer. In Lion it doesn't show that information anymore. Is there a way to still find out what protocol the print queue is trying to print via?
    Thanks…

Use the web interface to the printing system.  Go to http://127.0.0.1:631/printers/ and click on your printer.  The protocol will be part of the Connection information.

  • BPM API over T3 Protocol using Virtual IP

    Hi
    JDeveloper/SOA/BPM 11.1.1.7
    Weblogic 10.3.6
I have a custom dashboard written in ADF using BPM API.
The Tasks list are queried using the T3 protocol as mentioned in Building a Custom Worklist Client - 11g Release 1 (11.1.1.6.3)
The API works and I am able to query tasks and open them.
The Middleware infrastructure is as follows.
We have a Cluster with 2 managed servers.
As of now when calling the API, I am giving the URL of the server on which the tasks are present as comma separated server and port names.
    t3://ms_server_1:port,ms_server_2:port
Our administrators have created a VIP (Virtual IP) for the WLS and for the ADF application and web services, we are able to use the VIP url (http)
I was wondering if there is any way to use the VIP for T3 protocol as well?
The problem if we don't use the VIP is that when we open the tasks, they are pointing to the individual managed servers.
So when one managed server is down, then the tasks cannot be open and the application will not work normally.
And also if we have enabled security for the application it will ask the user to login second time when the task is opened.
Can anyone please let me know if there is any way to use VIP url on T3 protocol ?
    Thanks for any help

    Hi Anshul
Thank you very much for replying.
Actually I forgot to mention that we are using OHS (Oracle HTTP Server) and not Apache.
And our administrators said that the HTTP Tunneling is enabled already. The httpd.conf already has those tags
I tried to use the VIP host name (1. without any port, 2. with 80 port and 3. with the port same as the managed server) but when I run my program, we get the following Exception

  • Why is the https protocol used on all pages of arch wiki & forums ?

I don't know if it's true, but I heard that the https protocol requires more server resources than http, maybe because the server has to encrypt the data before sending it to the client. Therefore, as far as I know, https is usually used only on web pages containing login forms, and others that transmit sensitive data. I'm not complaining about the wiki or forum performance, they're loading fast, but is there a reason for using https on all pages of arch wiki and arch forums ? Shouldn't https be used only for logins to the wiki and forums, and http for all other pages, just like archlinux home page ?

I don't know the specific reasons as far as Arch is concerned, but there is a trend... See for example the HTTPS Everywhere extension. Many sites started offering or forcing https (including Google.) This can help avoid censorship and eavesdropping, two things that are on the rise too in many countries.
