Reg the Simultaneous entry in a Single Table

Hi,
If we enter the Data to Single table simultaneously from One from by multiple user what will happen?
Does table will get lock when we click the new button or system will alow concurrent entry by multiple user from different location....
Becaz i developed one form for Production.This form is used by the around 5 persons simultaneously... so that i need to confirn the above issue...
Pl help me on my clarification....

Hi Suresh
The system should managed this issues for the correct insert on each data entry.
The DocEntry is generated when you created a document (if 5 user add several document at the same time.. the system assing diferent docEntry to each new register which have been added)

Execute a VO '4' times and show the result in single table at once.

I want to execute single a VO query multiple times with different parameters and show the results together in a Table at once
In Detail
I have a table to which is associated with a VO.
The VO contains SQL whose WhereClauseParameters need to be dynamically binded.say headerId and lineId
Select ... from ....where headerId = :1 AND lineId = :2
I have to pass these 4 values and show all the results in a single table
headerId lineid
H1 ............... L1
H1 ............... L2
H2 ............... L1
H2 ............... L2
I understand that i need to bind parameters dynamically and exceute the VO.
As i have 4 different set of parameters, the view object will be executed 4 times.
I want to show all the results together in a single table.
How can I do it.

if you notice this data,
The Columns 5 to 7 are dependent on Combination of Model,Tube,Float and Size.
Hence will this query work properly(without mixing up data from other Pk combination) and will it be efficient?(I Know this is a stupid qst, still double checking..As your solution assumes that each row is unique for Model only..which is not true)

Each object will have a variable called Flow along with

Flow is not stored in the database(can not be stored due to functional reasons).I want to show this Flow also along with other columns fetched from the DB for all 100+ rows.
How can I do it?
I will give u the scenario(with just 2 rows)...please check(Flow is not stored in DB)

Purging the cache entries accordingto table and SA

I have few questions on Cache purging
1>How many types of purging.
2>Is it possible to purge the cache based on tables i.e.(if entries are generated on table A only that entries should purge in cache manager).
3>Is it possible to purge the cache based on Subject Areas i.e.(if entries generated on subject area A only that entries should purge in cache manager).
4>supose in cache manager there are 100 entries and i want to purge only selected entries i.e.(if i want to purge 25th, 50th and 75th,100th entries ) how i can achieve this.

To purge the cache manually with the Cache Manager facility
Use the Administration Tool to open a repository in online mode.
Select Manage > Cache to open the Cache Manager dialog box.
Select Cache or Physical mode by selecting the appropriate tab in the left pane.
Navigate the explorer tree to display the associated cache entries in the right pane.
Select the cache entries to purge, and then select Edit > Purge to remove them.
In Cache mode, select the entries to purge from those displayed in the right pane.

Is there a way to change the parameters only for a single table?
I need to set METHOD_OPT=>'FOR ALL COLUMNS SIZE 1' only for a specific table...

I'm sorry, mate. It looks like setting individual table preferences was introduced in 11g (and doesn't seem to work all that well).
You can still:
1. Explicitly specify any of the supported parameters by using DBMS_STATS.GATHER_TABLE_STATS() for the individual table and run it along.
2. Write a PL/SQL wrapper for let's say DBMS_STATS.GATHER_SCHEMA_STATS/GATHER_DTABASE_STATS that would gather the stats for the whole schema but ignore this particular table. Then gather the stats for the table with the METHOD_OPT parameter of your choice that could be different from the one used for the rest of the schema.
This could be achieved by locking particular table stats with DBMS_STATS.LOCK_TABLE_STATS, running GATHER_SCHEMA_STATS with force=>FALSE (which is the default). That parameter will make the procedure ignore any tables with locked stats. As the last step of the wrapper you can execute DBMS_STATS.GATHER_TABLE_STATS for the table in question with the desired METHOD_OPT and force=>TRUE.
It's a little more work, but may solve your problem.

2 entries deleted in PROJ table

Hi Gurus,
2 enteries in the PROJ table got deleted (not sure how it got deleted) and it caused failure in BI process chain during infopackage loading for WBS hierarchies because of inconsistency. The childrens entries exist in PRPS table and they still tied to the Proj No which already deleted in PROJ.
Is there any process to retrieve those entries in PROJ to resolve the issue??
And also any way to track how those entries in PROJ were deleted??'

Hi Michelle,
PROJ table has a change document object - PROJ (transaction SCDO). Change documents record changes (insert, update and deletion) to database entries against the change document object.
Check tables CDHDR (header) and CDPOS (item) as to whether you can find your PSP element here with change indicator = D (deletion).
If not - then it's possible someone has written a DELETE SQL command in a Z program. Hence ask your developer to do a WHERE-USED for PROJ table in Z* programs/ classes to determine whether a DELETE SQL command has been coded.
The DELETE SQL is more likely since it appears ONLY the header table entries have been deleted.

Iv 10 Tables consisting of atleast 10 fields each in a single Database. Bt, Im only able to connect 1 table at a time to a form using an ADO Control. Im able to add data from table 'student' to text-boxes in my form. Bt, hw can I add data from field(0) of
Table 'Student' to Textbox1 and data from field(0) of Table 'Marks' to Textbox2 using VB6??

To eliminate the duplicate entries while looping into final internal table

IAam facing the follwoing problem.
Get Shipment for the Delivery number
      SELECT tknum
             vbeln
             INTO TABLE lt_vttp
             FROM vttp
             FOR ALL ENTRIES IN lt_vbfa
             WHERE vbeln = lt_vbfa-vbelv.
    IF sy-subrc EQ 0.
      SELECT vbeln kunnr
             FROM likp
             INTO TABLE lt_likp
             FOR ALL ENTRIES IN lt_vttp
             WHERE vbeln = lt_vttp-vbeln.
endif.
now iam my internal table lt_vttp i have following values
   shipment             delivery
      1000                  2000
      1000                 2001
in my internal table lt_likp i have the follwoing values
      delivery              shipto
       2000                  ABC
       2001                  ABC
now iam looping those values in a final internal table.

        in internal table iam getting 2records with same shipment and shipto combination.
       but instead if both the shipment and shipto are same then i should elimate the duplicate entries.
and for the same shipment if i have differnt shipto then i neeed those 2 value.
can any body tell me how can i get that.

Hi Priyanka,
In your code you are using seelct statement inside the loop which will affect the performance.
So, declare a another internal table which contains your both shipment and shipto elements with other required fields, say the name is lt_new.
sort lt_new by shipment shipto.
delete adjacent duplicates from lt_new comparing shipment shipto.
"then use for all entries to choose values from VTTK.

How to use the table maintenance events for validating the input entries..?

I have created a Z table with 6 fields in which all are KEY fields. All are of CHAR type. I have created the Table Maintenance Generator for the same. While maintaining the entries in the table, even though I maintain a blank entry for a field it is saving the entry. But, I don't want that way. All the fields are mandatory in my table. One should enter all the fields. Otherwise it should not allow to save the entry. So, I think it can be done using the Table Maintenance Events. can someone tell me how to use the Table Maintenance Events. and which event to use for my reuqirement and what is the logic to be written.
Or Is there any other way to solve my problem.

In the table maintenance generator, Environment --> Modifications --> Events then a screen will be appear here,we need to create the Events.In the EVENTS screen, press new Entries, there give 01(Before Saving the Data in the Database) and give a name(This will become a PERFORM), then click the Editor pushbutton, this will be there at the right side of the entry, then a popup will be appear, you can create an include program, there inside of the include program write ur code.

How to delete the NULL entries in nest table

After I used a loop and open/fetch cursor populated the object table
I found there are random NULL entries in my object table (nest table)
The data look like this

How can I get rid of those NULL entries in my nest table? So it can become

I have tried Delete procedure in following two ways.
Version 1:

Both of them give me the error no data found. And only left me the first NOT NULL entry in the table.

u can write a report program for this and in that use the event :
AT NEW <field-name> ( use primary key)
your statements
ENDAT
for eg.
loop at itab ( herfe itab must be of type of table for which u want to track new entries)
at new matnr
write:/ new record
endat
endloop.
schedule this report in background to run in every 5 or 10 mins as per your requirement and hence changes can be tracked.

How to change the screen element of a single field in a table control

Hi Gurus,
I want to change the screen element of a single field (or the whole row) in a table control according to a condition.
I have 2 columns in the table control. One is an input column and one output only. When user enters values into the input column, they need to be compared against the values in the other column, and if there is a discrepancy, the row where the discrepancy is needs to be highlighted.
I have tried the following code which highlights the whole column ...

Hi,
The modification of a screen element attribute (LOOP AT SCREEN...MODIFY SCREEN) must always be done in the PBO (for a dynpro, it will be in a PBO module, i.e. declared by MODULE ... OUTPUT)
About the loop at the internal table, it is done automatically by the system, also during the PBO, you'll find something like LOOP [AT itab] ... WITH CONTROL ... in the PBO part of the screen flow logic (note: you may have to complete with a supplementary READ TABLE if you don't use AT itab). So you don't need an additional loop.

Can I see how long the longest entry has been in the sticky table ?

I have a customer who has a possible issue with the sticky inactivity timeout on the CSS. At the moment we are using no timeout, just relying on the CSS to purge the entries.
However, is it possible to see how long the longest entry has been in the sticky table. I can see the 'elapsed time' with the 'show sticky' command but this only shows 100 entries per time and not in time order ?

You can use the command "show sticky-table" with L3 or L4 options, depending on what you have configured, then add ip addressing to the command, to focus down to where the oldest sticky entries are likely to be, but theres no other way. If your problem is having too many entries, configure a sticky timeout, as the default of 0 will keep then forever, or until overwritten due to the table being full. If the problem is sticky entries timing out too early, you can use the timeout parameter to increase their life, but the sticky table is limited to 32k entries.

Using for all entries of two internal tables in where clause of the select

My requirement is, need to select Marc-minbe and wrpl-sobst, for all the entries of the two internal tables it_mara , and it_t001w.
here is the select queries i have used,
select matnr normt from mara into it_mara for all entries in it_data where normt = it_data-normt.
select konnr werks from t001w into it_t001w for all entries in it_data where konnr = it_data-konnr.
now i need to select minbe of marc table and sobse of wrpl table for all the entries of above internal tables, it_mara and it_t001w, using both matnr of it_mara and werks of it_t001w in where condition.
Pls advise how i can do it.
