Quick Time version 7.0.4 is installed, iTunes requires Quick Time version 7.1.3 or later. Please reinstall iTunes.
this is the message I am recv'g after downloading the 7.0.2 version of iTunes. I have uninstalled iTunes and Quick time and reinstalled both, yet rec'v the same message. I've utilized all suggestions available under the support tab for trouble installing iTunes w/quicktime.

let's try swapping out your QuickTime one more time. let's try the following procedure:
Download and install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. then use it to clear any existing QuickTime installation configuration information from your PC:

Next, we’ll manually remove leftover program files and folders.
    1. On the Start menu, click My Computer (or double-click My Computer on the Desktop).
    2. In My Computer, open Local Disk.
    3. Open Program Files.
    4. Right-click on the QuickTime folder and click Delete from the shortcut menu.

next, we'll try to get a fresh copy of QuickTime into your PC by doing a repair install of itunes.
switch off antivirus and antispyware applications prior to the repair install.
go into Add/Remove and select itunes. click "Change" and then click "Repair".
if the repair install goes through okay, restart the PC and try launching itunes again. does it launch properly now?

  • Issue regarding RoboHelp8 trial version

Hi, I downloaded the Trial Version of RoboHelp 8. I wanted to use this to work on a project file of size 60 MB. The output is a Web help. Up until now, this project has been done using RoboHelp 7. So I was opening the RoboHelp 7 files in RoboHelp 8. It took a long time for me to open the file and after that the Windows hour glass icon was appearing every few seconds making it difficult for me to perform any action. Adddinig to this, when I managed to insert some content, the application threw an error message and forced me to close the file. When I tried to open the file again, it is taking forever and of course the hour glass is back indicating that it is still processing something.
Another point to be noted is that this trial version is installed on my VDI and the whole project has to be worked using my remote desktop. So it is a scary combination of VDI+trial version+huge project file+conversion from 7 to 8.
Could anyone help me resolve this issue please?
    Thank you
    Anuradha

    Apologies.
I am not working at home. In my office, I have my machine (local) and from this machine I need to access another VDI which is in the UK because most of my work files are placed in this VDI and I work on VDI only. So both the project files and RH are on the VDI.
So I log on to my local machine.
Then through citrix I connect to the VDI to work.
Hope I am not confusing you.

  • Question regarding Lion's Versions security

I am wondering if whether a potential security issue affects Versions.
Let's say I have a encrypted text file (maintained with TrueCrypt) that I use to store all of my passwords. The list starts out with a single entry, but over time I add more information, until I have a few dozen edits. I use Lion's TextEdit app to edit the document. Each time I save the document the versions information being stored outside my encrypted file, in the DocumentRevisions-V100 folder now holds information from the saved versions. Question: is this Versions information in "cleartext" (unencrypted), and therefore my passwords are essentially being stored two places? One place in an encrypted text file, and in the DocumentRevisions-V100 folder open to anyone who obtains root access? After all, root access is exceedingly easy on Lion.
I suppose the easy answer, just to be safe is to never use a Versions enabled app to edit an encrypted file. But is it really necessary?

    Linc Davis wrote:
If you're serious about encryption, you need FDE. If you're not serious, don't use it at all.
    Really?

I think TrueCrypt is at least as safe as FDE.
Upon further investigation, nothing is saved outside the container, as Lion treats the container as an external drive, wherein Versions is not applicable.

  • A questions regarding Raid 0 version 1.0 and upgrading to Leopard OS

I am trying to upgrade my powerpc Mac Pro G5 from Tiger OS to Leopard. My G5 has two hard drives that are configured as a striped Raid 0 set version 1. The Leopard installation stops every time after I choose to install the OS on the Raid volume with the following message "The installer cannot prepare the volume for installation. You may need to prepare the disk using Disk Utility". I have tried using Disk Utility to unmount the set as well as unsuccessfully trying to convert the Raid set from version 1.0 to 2.0. The drives test good, the Mac works fine.
Does anyone know if Leopard will install on a Raid 0 set version 1 or is my only option to break the Raid set, re-partition each drive and then try to upgrade?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Alan.

I'm not sure which install option you've chosen, but here is something you might try:
Repairing the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
Continue to the window where you select the target volume and click once on your RAID volume to select it, then click on the Options button. Select the Archive and Install option then click on the OK button. Proceed with the installation.
If you want to preserve your Users folder and network preferences then be sure to check the box for that option with the Archive and Install option. This will automatically transfer all your user accounts and your network preferences.
Upon completion you will have a Previous Systems Folder at the root directory of your hard drive. You may need to keep the old system in order to transfer any third-party installed items in the /Library/Applications Support/ and /Library/Preferences/ folders. These items can be moved manually from those folders in the PSF to the corresponding locations in the newly installed system.

  • What is my operating system in regards to my printer installation?

When trying to install the drivers and software for your printer from the HP website, it is required to know both your operating system and your system type.
To determine if you have Windows or Mac, below is the icon you will find that is often referred to as the Start Button.
Windows  8                          Windows 7         Windows Vista            Windows XP             Mac OS X
If you do not see either of these icons, then please review the owner's manual of your computer or find a section dedicated to product information or in the help section of the software/device you are using.
Click here if you do not see your operating system listed under the driver section of your printer's support website.
In earlier Windows versions:  Select the Start button icon and right-click on Computer (Win7 or Vista) or My Computer (XP) and left-click on "Properties" at the bottom of the gray pop-window.  Properties will display the Windows edition which contains information on which version of Windows you are using, the service pack, and further down you will find the system type which will indicate whether it is 32-bit or 64-bit.  If you do not see a version type, it is likely a 32-bit Windows XP.
*Note: Windows Starter Editions can cause problems and errors and thus limiting you to strictly a USB connection during the installation and continued use of the printer's software.
In Windows 8: Right-click or tap and hold the lower left corner of the screen and then click or tap System in the menu.  Find System Type in the System Window, and then note whether your operating system is 32-bit or 64-bit.
Click here to access the HP Support website regarding operating system types for more information.
Mac OS X: For information regarding your OS version click on the Apple () to access the menu and choose "About This Mac" and you will be able to tell which version you are running which is essential for installing the proper printer software.
Common Mac OS X have different names for their versions:
              10.5 - Leopard
              10.6 - Snow Leopard
              10.7 - Lion
              10.8 - Mountain Lion
Each version before and after the ones listed above also have additional names.  Click here to access the Mac Support website for more information.
Linux print drivers: HP has designed what is noted as HPLIP (HP Linux Imaging and Printing) software to include the driver, the toolbox, and the driver installer into one package.  This software is designed to work for nearly every Linux distribution available. Click here to download the latest HPLIP software for your printer.
Be cautious about third-party websites offering downloads to certain HP software, especially if you are required to pay for it or pay for a tool to diagnose any issues you are having.  Most HP download packages include the scanning software such as HP Solution Center or HP Image Zone.  Specific software installed is not downloaded separately and therefor, if you cannot find it for free through the HP website, then be careful of what other companies are offering.  You are putting your system at risk by downloading any software from an unknown manufacturer such as viruses, malware, or other security factors.  Take precautions to protect yourself before you install any software from a third-party site.
If you have any questions regarding any of the information above, feel free to post about it.  The HP Consumer Forum is a great place to look for expert advice regarding small to medium-sized printers (Officejet, Photosmart, Deskjet), along with how to install, update, or resolve other installation errors.
If you have questions regarding a large commercial-sized printer, seek additional expert advice at the HP Enterprise Business Community regarding large LaserJets, ScanJets, and DesignJets.

0n the Verify Plug in page of Firefox, it says that Adobe Shokwave Flash is not up to date. I've just doanloaded the latest version and tested it, all is fine. The problem seems to be with firefox!

What version of Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat do you have? Updating that should take care of the plugin automatically. If it doesn't, we can detail how to track down the old plugin and remove it.
To update your Adobe product, open it directly (outside Firefox) then on the Help menu, choose Check for Updates. If it claims to already be up-to-date, could you re-open the Help menu and choose the "About" item to check your current version number?
After updating Adobe Reader/Acrobat, you may need to exit and start Firefox up again before the change is detected. Any improvement?

  • How to add "Cost Plan Version" and "Planned Cost" into CNE5 report?

    Hi,
I would like to display Cost Plan Version(VERSN) and Planned Cost in the CNE5 report.
How to retrieve Planned Cost that based on the Cost Plan Version ?
    Appreciate helps. Thanks.
    Regards,

Plan versions:   A plan version is created in accounting and stores different cost plans for a project, such as an "optimistic" and a "pessimistic" plan.
Now coming to plan version 0 is verson where actaul cost is updated in your organisation.
Plan version 1 is used for the planning...
How to see the  same in CJE5 is suggested by Virendra..
However there is no filed name planned cost  in report but the name of the filed is Proj.cost sched.000
with which you can achieve your result.
path is run txn CJE5>give your Project no.> F8> in new screen> F5-->in new Window scroll down in the  right side for the Proj.cost sched.000 filed > with select take the same to left side>Enter--> values will displyed for this field in your report.
similarly you can use the other fields as well... take help of F4, to know the meaning of fileds.

  • Adobe Reader X change the PDF version after saved

    Hi all,
I recently discovered a weird behavior of Adobe Reader X (free version) regarding the .PDF version document.
I scanned just before the week-end a series of documents with default 1.4 version, I checked several and all were ok, Scanner did the job well.
The only problem is that every time I opened a document and save it under a different name, or replace under the same name – Save As option (Shift+Ctrl+S); the version of the document is automatically changed from 1.4 to 1.5; This is very annoying since I do not need 1.5 document version I use only 1.4.
Is there a way to work around this? I mean the Adobe Reader X should not keep the version 1.4 and not change it to 1.5
Thanks is advance for looking into this

  • Question about versioning (history) in the latest release

    Hallo,
    Some questions:
    1. Will versioning ever be integrated with locked pages, locked scene, colored pages, revision marks functionality etc, so that at a particular moment you can optionally augment the current versioning with the more traditional way of production revision cycles?
    2. If above will not be the case (or is never activated): what currently happens with scene numbers & manual breakdown info that is already added, but than the scene gets deleted.  Is all this info gone (& scenes renumbered).  Can we save a version to keep this info?  Please clarify.
    3. Regarding breakdown of elements: will there be a way that we can visualize breakdown sheets on screen.  It's much easier for me to look at it that way, e.g. the Scenechronize way (I guess I'm old).
    4. Regarding breakdown and making the script 'production ready', will there be a way to combine scenes that belong together and part scenes (that are not in the same shooting location but where the writer chose to combine the action in one scene, eg like telephone conversation etc).
I guess all my questions boil down to this: will Story also aim to offer serious production breakdown features that could be used by production managers & assistant directors to prep for physical production, or will it mainly be a collaborative writing tool (even if it does allow you to transfer text into On Location shotlists and then eventually into your clips).
I guess there's a conceptual difference (at least when talking about narrative film with a lot of cast, locations, props etc): do you support mainly the writing effort and than transfer into a tool like Scenechronize once production starts - or do you go further? For  (corporate) interview type shoots this matters less.
I would be interested to hear your views on the matter.
    Regards,
    Bavo

Yes. Versioning will be integrated with locked pages, colored pages but we are not planning to lock scenes yet. We will also show asterix against changed lines in future updates.
You can always explicitly save a version (file->save as) to mark a checkpoint draft. You can add your own comments while saving this draft so that you can find it later.
We'd like to support production related features because we want to leverage script metadata for all it can be leveraged for. That said, "full fledged" is a loaded term. We will take small steps and enable workflows related to production as we go along. Dynamic breakdown reports, that can be viewed and edited in Story are on our roadmap.
