Regarding cell count

hi,
when i am selecting column in a particular table it is giving negativ value, i am using the method getSelectedCellColumn() but if i select row with method getSelectedRow() it is showing correct value, both i am using in the same program, can any one help me regarding this.

Hi Ram,
In display templates, General Tab, there will be check box with name allow cell selection. That should be enabled. Then only you can use getSelectedCellColumn method.
It is clearly stated in help,
int getSelectedCellColumn()
This method returns the column number for the currently selected cell. It only applies if AllowCellSelection is enabled.

Replicated Partition-Cell Count not matching, what to do with Mappings tab

Hi All
I am creating a Replicated partition between 2 cubes on 9.3.1. The source cube has 8 dimensions(Cube A) and the target cube has 7 dimensions(Cube B).
2 Dimensions in cube A dont exist in Cube B and 1 Dimension in Cube B doesnt exist in Cube A.
6 of the dimensions map directly.
How do i deal with the 2 Dimensions in cube A that dont match cube B? At the moment I have mapped them to (void) in the mappings tab, by just selecting the dimension name and putting void in the target.
Cube B has dimension called SBU. All data from Cube A needs to go against member SBU Input in Cube B. I am stuck as to how to do this?

I believe the only issue that is likely to be wrong is the need to select a single member in the dimensions that you are eliminating (through a mapping to void). The 2 dims that exist in cube A should be selected as a single member for each, and mapped to void. If you selected the entire dimension in the partition, and only mapped the root to void, you would have a mismatched cell count.
So, change the partition spec to use a single member in those dimensions (if needed), and make sure that the member you select is mapped to void, which is not necessarilly the dimension itself.
Then, you do a similar void mapping to the SBU Input member, "Void = "SBU Input"". That handles the new cell count aspect if the other dimensions line up.
In total, there are three mappings identified from this. Two map source members to void, and one to map a target member to void.

I am receiving the error : [Target] - Partition definition is not valid: [Cell count mismatch: [1814427] area for slice [1] members per dimension [67 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 51 531 ]] when trying to validate my transparent partition.
Because of some issues the data is not getting reflected at the target database.
Please suggest some solution.

I would exercise the following steps
1.Copy the original partition script in a notepad
2.Open one source outline and target outline applications in EAS Console in vertical mode.
3.Check the partition members coming from both source to Target application are in sync, by checking the source members and target members in the respective cubes ,if any new member got added in your source partition intersection then you need the member in the target too,if they are not ,then cell count mismatch will occur.
4.Since its a transparent partition target the shared transparent areas of the data source and data target outlines need not be identical.The dimensions and member in the data source maps to each dimension and member in the data target.You need to define the definition of mapping
5.Create partition either using maxl or using create partition in EAS .
In your case 1 partitions has the cell mismatch counts ,since you are able to retrieve the data for 3 partitions in the target applications

Cell Counting Script for the Biomedical Sciences

I want to talk to you about something I envision will be of great use in the biological/medical community. This involves the creation of an Adobe PS script that will count cells manually with the click of a button. First let me tell you a bit about my research. As a medical student, I’m interested in ophthalmology and I hope to make it a career out of fighting preventable forms of blindness like glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. Here’s some background of my work in Glaucoma:
Glaucoma is currently the second most common cause of irreversible blindness in the world. This usually presents as increased Intraocular Pressures (IOP) that damage a certain subpopulation of cells within the retina called Retinal Ganglion Cells (RGC).
We have mice that work as great models for glaucoma. These mice are imaged before the onset of glaucoma and treated with pharmacological agents throughout their glaucomatous state that we hope will 1.) reduce IOP and 2.) spare the RGCs.
I’m attaching an example of the images I am taking from mice and also a sketch of what I envision the Cell Counting Interface to look like. This is something that other researchers would definitely use specially if they are doing multi channel work with fluorescent antibodies.
Ideas for a cell counting script:
1.     The script should ask for a file or multiple files to open.
2.     Once image file is open, the script will ask to highlight a working area. Multiple areas can be created within one image file but only one area can be active. There should be a button that creates a new area that is easy to expand its width and length and is also easy to rotate and move similar to the Free Transform function on PS CS3.
3.     Cells will either be Red, Green, Blue or Yellow (overlap between red+green signals). When a specific area is toggled active and the researcher has the Red Channel toggled in preparation to count all the Red cells within the toggled active area, each Left click of the mouse will put a small solid red circle (adjustable to account for larger or smaller cell sizes) over the clicked cell on the image. This cell will be counted under the Red Channel for that particular “Active” area. There will automatically be a “Total Area toggle that, when active, will sum all the areas and will take a tally of the total number of Red, Green, Blue and Yellow cells that have been manually counted. As an example, say the researcher wants to work in an area of the image file whose cells have not yet been counted. The user clicks the button, “Create Area” and an “Area N” line is created below the button. The “Area N” line has a corresponding toggle switch that is clickable in order to activate. Simultaneously to creating the line below the button, the user will hold the Left click on the mouse, drag it to create Area N, and release when the desired size is attained. The user can then rotate and make final adjustments to make sure it is in the desired spot in the image file.
4.     When the area is active, a thicker bright outline distinguishable from the rest of the areas will be seen. Clicks will only be allowed within an active area. If the “Total Area” toggle is selected, all areas become active, yet the script will be robust enough to keep track of which cells came from what area and add these to the Total Area numbers
5.     If a Channel is deselected all dots of that color (Red, Green or Blue) will be invisible until the channel is selected again.
6.     Two or more scripts can run at the same same time.
7.     A print out will print the raw image plus the image with the dots, the filename, the individual area statistics (cell counts per channel) and the total Area and total cells counted (Total Red, Total Green, Total Blue, Total Yellow)
8.     The user has to manually interact and click on spots he/she thinks are cells. (Automated programs are not as good at picking out cells from artifacts left
9.     Oh, Right clicking on a dot should remove the dot and subtract it from the cell counts.
Conversion for Area calculation:
x pixels = y microns
Area in microns squared = ((H pixels X y microns)/ x pixels) X ((W pixels X y microns)/ x pixels)

Some of what you want is possible. Take a look at the Count Tool in CS3/4. It may only be available in the Extended versions. That provides a
reasonable interface for marking items in a image like you are wanting to do with cells. Take a look at that and see what kind of manual process
you can get worked out.
However, to get the workflow you want (or anything close to it) would require more than a little code.

Combine 2 cubes with transparent partition but failed in cell count match

I have 2 cubes:
Cube A DIMENSIONS(YTD, YEAR, PRODUCT, LOCATION) + MEASURES
Cube B DIMENSIONS(YTD, YEAR, PRODUCT, LOCATION, BE_TYPE) + MEASURES
Both cubes have the same YTD AND YEAR.
It is comparable for A.PRODUCT,GEN2 VS B.PRODUCT,GEN3
It is comparable for A.PRODUCT,GEN5 VS B.PRODUCT,GEN6
It is comparable for A.LOCAITON,GEN2 VS B.LOCATION,GEN5
It is comparable for A.LOCATION,GEN5 VS B.LOCATION,GEN5
Most measures have the same name between 2 cubes.
Some are not.
Now I need to combine 2 cubes into 1 for OBIEE usage.
Criteria:
1. Include all YTD and YEAR
2. Combine A.PRODUCT,GEN2 & B.PRODUCT,GEN3
3. Combine A.PRODUCT,GEN5 & B.PRODUCT,GEN6
4. Combine A.LOCATION,GEN2 & B.LOCATION,GEN2
5. Combine A.LOCATION,GEN5 & B.LOCATION,GEN5
6. All data from Cube B are selected with B.BE_TYPE = 'TYPE_A'
7. Combine ALL MEASURES FROM 2 CUBES.
So, I am working on transparent partition with source = Cube B and target Cube A inside EAS.
However, I cannot match the cell counts.
Do you have suggestions? Any hints on my cases?

Number of measures of two cubes are the same.
However,
1. A.PRODUCT,GEN2 & B.PRODUCT,GEN3
2. A.PRODUCT,GEN5 & B.PRODUCT,GEN6
3. A.LOCATION,GEN2 & B.LOCATION,GEN2
4. A.LOCATION,GEN5 & B.LOCATION,GEN5
the number of members of 2 cubes are not the same. Since the Product ID contained in A.PRODUCT,GEN5 is the not same in B.PRODUCT,GEN6. Infact I wonder how I can make them matched. It is because my purpose is to combine all these different product into one dimension (just like union them into one column), so their number must not match.
Am I correct? How can I handle this case?

Need help regarding Cycle counting

Hi All,
I need your help regarding cycle counting process in SAP PI. The scenario is as follows,
At present in the legacy system business practice is to count certain number of materials say 100 materials every day. Out of these 100 materials; we keep fixed percentage for the materials to be counted i.e. out of 100 certain percentage will of A material, certain percentage will of B materials like wise.
Also every day we want to generate a list of these 100 materials to be counted (this list can be handed over to inventory person to physically count the material) and generation of PI documents to subsequently post the count results.
Please note that we will be manually assigning cycle count indicator (A or B or C etc) in the material master.

I do not understand the determination of the date of physical inventory in the cycle counting physical inventory. How is the planned date or the date of physical inventory determined in the SAP system?
Answer:
In principle, the program calculates the planned date of physical inventory according to the following formula:
   planned date = base date + Interval (Trans.OMCO/Tab.XT159C-ININV)
Usually, the base date is the 'date of the last physical inventory'. Depending on the type of the stock or the batch management requirement, this date is read from one of the following table fields:
MARD-DLINL (Normal materials)
   MCHB-CHDLL (Batch materials, separately valuated materials)
If no physical inventory has been carried out yet and if this date field is therefore empty, the system uses the creation date of the material as basis date. The basis date then comes from one of the following table fields:
MSTA-ERSDA (Normal materials)
   MCHB-ERSDA (Batch materials, separately valuated materials)
Since the cycle counting physical inventory always runs for the current fiscal year, the earliest possible physical inventory date is the 01.01. and the latest possible physical inventory date is the 31.12 of the current year.
If the date of the physical inventory is a non-working day, the program automatically proposes the next possible workday.

How do I add a cell count to the data already in my tables in Numbers '08?

I am using Numbers '08, Mac OS X 10.8.2
I have a spreadsheet with a number of different tables. Each table refers to a style of music and lists songs in that style. I want to count the number of songs in each table (bearing in mind that the first row in each table is a heading and would not be counted). I also want this number to automatically update each time a new song is added or removed. Is there are way of adding this number count into data that is already stored or would I need to start from scratch with a specific table style?

I would approach this a little differently, but there are more similarities than differences.
I would change the names of the list tables from Table 1, Table 2, etc. to Jazz, Pop, etc.
Column A would have the song number, Column B, the song name.
In Column A, I would write: =IF(LEN(B)>0, ROW()-1 & "."
That's all the programming for the data tables. You can insert and delete and sort to your heart's content.
For the statistics I would have a table named "Summary". In the Summary table you would list the genres in Column A and would calculate the number of songs for each genre in Column B. The calculation of titles per genre would be:
=COUNTA(INDIRECT(A&"::B"))
The calculation for the combined total in the Footer row would be:
=SUM(B)

As you add genre tables, just add rows to the Summary table and expand the genre list, filling the count formula down.
I suggest that if you want to try my way, that you do it with a little sample table, like the one I used, to see if the formulas all work in Numbers 08. If anything fails, report it and we can try to adapt it to the old program.

I have question in Count(*). Will it work with table allias.
It works when I use like below
"select count(*) po_header_id from po_headers_all" -- its working perfectly
but , when i queried like below its not working,
"select count(*) poh.po_header_id from po_headers_all poh"

the words you write just after a column or an expression or a function will become an ALIAS and aliases don't have any table or scheme.
select count(*) RRRR from mytable;RRRR is an alias in this example. maybe you have a column called RRRR in the table but this is not it. so you can not put your table name as prefix to it. mytable.RRRR will indicate the column not alias. if it doesn't include a dot, it could be used as alias but dot is violating naming rules.
you could do that:
select count(*) "mytable.RRRR" from mytable;now, "mytable.RRRR" becomes your alias.

Regarding -ALV count in subgroup.

1. consider 2 fields r there : group, count.
2. declare two new itabs itab_groups, itab_new_disp as ur old itab - "itab_display".
itab_groups[] = itab_display[].
sort itab_groups by groups.
delete adjacent duplicates from itab_groups comparing groups.
loop at itab_groups.
   loop at itab_display where group eq itab_groups-group.
     count = count + itab_display-count.
      itab_new_disp = itab_display.
      append   itab_new_disp.
   endloop.
   itab_new_disp-group = 'subtotal'.
   itab_new_disp-COUNT =   count.
   append   itab_new_disp.
   clear : count.
endloop.
3. Now pass the itab - 'itab_new_disp' , to the fun module for display.

Issue regarding cell action in webdynpro for abap alv

hello gurus,
       i have one requirement in webdynpro for abap alv.i have one alv table in that i have one coloun employee name.
for that i have provided F4 help and that is editable field.if i select value from F4 help it is getting value correctly and it is showing properly at the same time it is allowing values entered manually insted of from F4 help.but as per my requiremnet it should not allow any manually entered values.how can i get this functinality. i am not aware indepth od WDA.
could you go through my isssue and could you revert me some solution.

   I dont think this is possible because when you can change the value using F4 then it would obviously be
   possible to enter manually.
   You can try using a drop down instead because in drop down you cannot enter values manually,
   But this would be good if the values that can be shown in drop down are very low, if the values are more
   then again user will face problems selecting values.
   Else you can try out what srinivas suggested, But dont know whether we can have two cell editors at a time
   inside a single cell of ALV. Please post the answer if you have found any other way to do it.

Regarding Cycle Count Entries

Dear All,
I am doing cycle counting in which I have 10 Items in my subinventory. I have completed ABC Analysis and classified first 2 items as A and next 3 item as B and remain 4 items as C. Even I have performed Cycle Count as well.
In Cycle count entries i am not able to enter count quantity for my entire 10 items instead it is showing only 6 items only. Why I was not able to see remaining 4 items and how do I enter count quantity for those missed 4 items?
What would be the solution if i want to see all my 10 items in in cycle count entries form?

Can you check mtl_cceoi_action_pub.import_CountRequest api?
Please make sure you carry out the following before calling the API.
1. Create a Cycle Count
2. Enter a Manual Cycle Count Entry.
3. Run program "Perform Complete Cycle Count" to generate generate cycle count request
4. Post the count Entries using the by calling the API using your Script.

Cell Count mismatch when creating a Partition

Hi, I have a ASO outline with just 1 scenario "Actuals"where as I created a BSO outline with exactly same dimensionsexcept Scenario dimension which has write-back members"Budget" and etc. ASO outline has no ( a few ratio formulasin MDX&nbsp<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">formulas for "Accounts" Dim where as "Accounts"Dim has whole lot of formulas for BSO outline. Iam creating a Transparent Partition to merge the scenarios. Using Area : @Idescendants(Accounts) , Scenario,Actual for bothSource and TargetUsing Mappings : Actual to Actual Void to Budgetetc I donot know why it is not getting validated and show cell countdoesnot match at all. Please help me in case some one has laready came across thissituation and how they fixed this. Thanks 

that's the support software for the windows drivers once you already have windows installed.
either way it doesn't matter. i found a version of Bootcamp assistant 4, and tried it, but it still errored, said something about files couldn't be moved or some such. wanted me to clone my HD, format, then replace the image and try again.

Regarding line count in normal list

Hi all,
In normal list am giving line count as 32. Its showing output correctly in my system. But when am seeing my output in other system the second page header is coming in the first page. I think according to configuration line count may change. Plese tell what i need to do to get ouput correct irrespective of system(Is there any system variable is there to do this).

Display line items in Cells of a table- Smartform

Hello All,
Can any one help me achieving the below requirement.
I have a requirement of printing invoice with a smartform. I am displaying line items from a TABLE node by looping VBRP's internal table. There are 12 cells and the 5 th cell contains a number of Dicount rates.
I am displaying these discount rates from LOOP node by looping KONV's internal table within that CELL. The 7 th Cell has got 2 values which are required to be: one aligned to the TOP right corner of the cell and the other to the bottom right side of the cell.
Now the issue description is:
CELL-5: Contains unknown number of values for display within the cell to be positioned as MIDDLE justified for an item(POSNR) of the main item table.
CELL-7: Contains two fixed values :KWERT to be at Top right of the CELL-7and NETWR at the bottom right of CELL-7
I have managed to display the sub items in CELL-5 in the middle by giving values to SPACE BEFORE/SPACE AFTER sections of PARAGRAPH FORMAT in SMART STYLE.
Requirement: Irrespective of number of sub items in CELL-5 the 2 values in CELL- 7 to be aligned as one at the top right and the other to the bottom right cell flexibly . Same applies to other items(POSNR) of MAIN VBRP item table.
The ROWS of the MAIN Table to be flexible enough to shrink the space when then are less number of subitems in   CELL-5.
Values in Cell-7 should be adjusted according to contents in CELL-5.

Adjust the code if need as per your data.
In cell 7 under loop node print ITAB_CELL7 values in a text. and prepare a paragragh for alingment.
if it does not work for send me the XML file for your smartform.
