Regarding combining data from 2 data sources

Hi All,
I want to represent data from two data sources. Orders (2lis_11_vaitm) and billing (2lis_13_vditm). We have in common Plant, Material customer etc. I want the query to be executed based on Billing date. However, when I am executing the report based on billing date, I am getting all orders as 0 and I am only getting Inv qty and value. The reason for this is there is no billing date in 2lis_11_vaitm. So, how to merge these two data sources??
Regards
Jay

But when we reorder the column in "Updated" in Destination table, the package is importing data successfully.
This looks like bug to me, Any suggestion?

    Hi Mohideen,
Based on my research, the issue might be related to one of the following factors:
Memory pressure. Check there is a memory challenge when the issue occurs. In addition, if the package runs in 32-bit runtime on the specific server, use the 64-bit runtime instead.
A known issue with SQL Native Client. As a workaround, use .NET data provider instead of SNAC.
    Hope this helps.

  • Want to transfer data from 2 source systems

    hi everybody ,
i want to transfer data from 2 source systems into a info cube, how can we do that and  i dont want to transfer duplicate data from two source systems. like i have 1,2,3,4 records in one source system and 1,5,6,7 records in the other system.i want to transfer 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 in to the cube. can u help me to solve this problem?

    Hi
The solution given by Paolo will not work 100% correct.
Even if you create ODS and with record number as key of  ODS the data in ODS will be record no 1,2,3,4,5,6,7
But data of record 1 will be overwritten (first it will hold data from 1st source system and then from 2nd source system) since record number is key. Also you can not differentiate the values of data that means which data is coming from which system.
For this you need to use compouding of infoobjects. In this expample, record number should be compounded with Source system ID infoobject-0soursystem. Then your ODS will contain source system ID along with record number as keys and record 1 will not be overwritten.
Have a look at SDN threads on compounding-

  • How to get data from external source

    Hi experts,
I want to get data from a different source e.g. from oracle. How can i get the data in BW??
    Sam

    Hi Samir
there are different interfaces are available according to the source system.
For Oracle source system you can use DB connect interface.
you can extract data from several data sources to BI
File Interface:: Using this interface, you can access files in ASCII format or CSV format
DB Connect :: You use DB Connect to open other database connections in addition to the default connection and use these connections to transfer data from tables or views into a BI system.
UD Connect :: UD Connect (Universal Data Connect) uses the Application Server J2EE connectivity to enable the reporting and analysis of both SAP and non-SAP data. Using UD Connect, you can access all relational and multidimensional data sources. UD Connect transfers the data as flat data.
    BI Service API ::
Web Service for Staging ::You use the Web service to write the data from the source into the PSA. The transfer of data is controlled externally, without placing demand on BI.
You can use this interface in conjunction with real-time data acquisition.
Please assign points if this info helps.

  • Transform data from multiple sources to single target in bpel 10.13.1.0

    Hi,
I need to transform data from mulitple sources to single target schema.
Please any one can give some idea.
    Regards
    janardhan

We are gone a other way merge multiple information into one target.
First we have created a wrapper variable with the structure of the target variable that we want use in the transformation.
With a assign element we filled the wrapper variable with information from the inputvariable of the bpel process and some addtional information.
Then we called in the transformation the wrapper variable as source and the target variable as target.
We have used that way in some bpel process and it works for us.
Within Oracle SOA Suite 11g, there is the mediator component that does simply routing
and transformation functionality within a composite (SCA).
That's all, I hope that help.

  • Transaction Data from multiple source systems

    Hi BW,
I want to load transaction data from two source systems: SQ1CLNT100 QA and SQ1CLNT200 Training client. into one BW system. What is the best practice, do I need to create another data structure or can I mix the data for QA and training in one data structure and separate them with authorisation?
Please someone should help me out with the best practice on this.
    Thanx.

    Hi Dan,
Do you mean use 0LOGSYS as authorisation relevant InfoObject?
Dont you think that if I copy bid from one source system and use it in another, the two bids will have the same GUID? if that is possible, then I may be faced with the problem of data override. Please advice further.
    Regards.

  • Extract the data from xbrl source

    Hi ,
I want to extract the data from xbrl source system . I have one xsd, few xml files and one xbrl file .   I have imported xsd file  but lot of the xml files failing to parse against xsd.
Please guide me how to extract the data from xbrl file .
    Thanks & Regards,
    Ramana.

    Hi,
Yes it will work, follow the bellow steps,
    Steps
    1) Create a blank database in Microsoft Access, lets call it 'TestDB.mdb'. I saved this mdb file in my XI server path itself,
    xiserver\xitemp\db\TestDB.mdb
(you can save it anywhere provided it has a shared access)
    2) Add a table in TestDB.mdb, call it TEST_EMPLOYEE with the following rows and save it.
    EMPID type text
    EMPNAME type text
    EMPAGE type number
    FLAG type text
    3) Now follow the same steps as mentioned in the blog,
    /people/sap.user72/blog/2005/06/01/file-to-jdbc-adapter-using-sap-xi-30
except for the receiver jdbc adapter configuration.
    4) In the receiver JDBC adapter configuration pass the following parameters,
    Transport Protocol: JDBC 2.0
    Message Protocol: XML SQL Format
    Adapter Engine: Integration Server
    JDBC Driver: jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver
    Connection: jdbc:odbc:Driver={Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb)};DBQ=//xiserver/xitemp/db/TestDB.mdb
    5) In my case there is no userid and password required, but if you have userid and password, then the parameter for Connection becomes,
    jdbc:odbc:Driver={Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb)};DBQ=//xiserver/xitemp/db/TestDB.mdb;Uid=yourid;Pwd=yourpwd;
    Reward Points ,if found Useful.
    Thanks,
    Satish.

  • How can I use notifications to send data from different sources to thesame chart?

    Hi,
I am using the "Continuous Measurement and Logging" template project that ships with LV 2013.
It is extremenly helpful for figuring out messaging between the acquire, graph, and log loops. (Thanks NI!)
I've run into a snag however.
I would like to modify it so that my graphing loop receives data notifications from two acquisition sources via notifiers.
I'm having trouble getting data from both sources to display on the same chart.
I've isolated the issue in the attached vi.
    Here's what happens:
    1. I create data from 2 parallel loops and send the data to a third parallel loop with notifiers.
    2. The third loop receives data from only one of the loops because one of the receiving notifiers just times out instead of receiving data.
Can someone suggest how I can fix this?
    Thanks.
    - Matt
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.
    Attachments:
    test notification loop.vi ‏42 KB

Here is my modification of your VI. I put notes on the block diagram to explain the changes. It uses a queue for the data transfer to avoid loss of data. It uses a notifier to stop the loops. All local variables and Value property nodes have been eliminated.
The way the loops are stopped will likely leave some data in the queue. No more than one or two iterations of each of the data acquisition loops. If you need to guarantee that all data has been displayed (or saved in a real application), then you need to stop the acquisition loops first and read the queue until you know it is empty and both of the other loops have stopped. Then stop the display loop and release the queue and notifier.

    Hi All,
I have a Generic datasource in BW which is based on a Function Module. When I am extracting the data from this source in RSA3 it is ending up in Run time error.
    the error message is
The current ABAP program "SAPLYBWPU" had to be terminated because one of the
    statements could not be executed.
    and the error analysis is
You wanted to add an entry to table "\FUNCTION-POOL=YBWPU\DATA=GT_HIERTAB2", which you declared with a UNIQUE KEY. However, there was already an entry with the same key.
This may have been in an INSERT or MOVE statement, or within a

    The error is:
Update mode "Full Upload" is not supported by the extraction API
    Message no. R3011
    Diagnosis
The application program for the extraction of the data was called using update mode "Full Upload". However, this is not supported by the InfoSource.
    System Response
    The data extraction is terminated.
    Procedure
Check for relevant OSS Notes, or send a problem message of your own.
Your help in this regd. would be highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    David.

    Hi David,
I have no experience with IS Retail data sources. But as message clearly say this DS is not suppose to be ran in Full mode.
Try to switch you DTPs/Infopackages to Delta mode.
While to checking extraction in source system, within TA RSA3 = Extractor checker, kindly switch Update mode field to Delta.

  • Aggregating Data from multple sources with ESB

    Hi
I want to aggregate data from multiple data-sources with an esb service and after that call a bpel-process with a request build from this data.
    1. read data from datasource A (dbadapter-select-call)
    2. read data from data-source B (dbadapter-select-call)
    3. put the data together in xsl-transofrmation
    4. call bpel
Is this possible? How can I get the data from the first call together with data from the second call for transformation? If I get data from the second call, the data from the first call seems to be lost.
    Any ideas?
    Gregor

    Gregor,
It seems this aggregation of data is not possible in ESB.This can be done in BPEL only that too using assigns but not using transformations.I have tried using transformations by giving the third argument to the ora:processXSLT function. But couldnot achieve the desired result.
For more info on passing a second variable(of another schema) as a parameter to xslt pls refer to the post
    http://blogs.oracle.com/rammenon/2007/05/
and the sectiion "Passing BPEL Variable contents into XSLT as Parameters".
    Hope this helps you.

  • Analyse big data in Excel? Why the dynamic tables doesn't take all the data from the source table.

    Hi,
I'm doing a internship in a production line.
My job is to recover production data (input data) and test data (output data) using various types of software (excel, BusinessObject sap, etc).
To this day, I have recovered hundreds of production data, and have also organized in excel but I need to analyze and plot them.
I would like to know who can give me an idea of how I could plot as much data and analysis.
Now i trying to use dynamic charts and plot some data but I did not get acceptable answers.
How could I compare, analyze and graph for example:
Five columns of production (input) with five (5) columns tested (data output).
    After graphing.
Someone can give me a technique to analyze data? ie I compare column by column?
or some other technique? as a conglomerate could analyze data?
o give you an idea of the contect, now I perform an internship in a manufacturing turbines.
My job is to analyze the input data (production) and to estimate the possible behavior of the turbines in the tests.
As I said, use dynamic tables in excel, but i have not idea why the dynamic tables doesn't  take all the data from the source table.
    I appreciate your advice
    Thanks

You can declare as PT source whole Columns [$A:$E], without rows number.
Then You'll have all actually data.

as you can see there are some rows in data table that matches the id, dt in data2.
there is some rows in data2 that is not there in data table and vice versa. also both tables columns
are identical except that data has more columns that data2 doesnt have.     i want to write a query.
i would like to join data and data2 table.
if a row in data table matches a row in data2 then i would take the row in data table
and display it along with the rest of the columns. if a row is not found in data but it is found
in data2 for a particular id (in this case 123) then i want to display the row from data2 and the rest of the columns value from data2.
please note that in the data above i gave you one specific id 123. my tables will have the same situation as above
for different id. the output of the above query should be as follow.

if you notice, i am displaying the data from data table when there is a match in data and data2 tables for a particular id, dt combination.
if there is data in data2 that is not in data then i pull those data from data2 and display. the same thing goes for data table. if there is data in data table
but it is not there in data2 then i display data from data table. when rows matches then i take the one from data table
i would like to write a query that give the above output. if anybody can help, i will appreciate.
    thanks
