How to create routed port in Cisco SF-300 Switch

I am trying to create routed ports in SF 300 small business 8 port switch.
I have 3 different LAN say 192.168.1.0/24, 192.168.2.0/24 and 192.168.3.0/24
I have 3 unmanaged linsys switch where I have connected all these computers.
Now what I have to do is to create routed ports in SF300 and route this networks properly.

Thank you for reaching Small Business Support Community.
In Layer 3 system mode, the device can have multiple IP addresses. Each IP address can be assigned to specified ports, LAGs, or VLANs. Operating in Layer 3 mode, the device routes traffic between the directly attached IP subnets configured on the device. In addition, you can manually define default routes.
Configuring the device to work in Layer 3 mode is performed in the Administration >System Settings page.
To define IP addresses on the ports:
IP Configuration > IPv4 Management and Interfaces > IPv4 Interface
To define an IP static route:
Click IP Configuration > IPv4 Management and Interfaces > IPv4 Routes

Error in LSMW, when creating Routing - QP01

Hi All,
I am facing problem when executing LSMW, I am creating Routing through standard Batch input method, the problem is that on 13th step when system asks for creating batch input session, system by default takes filename.lsmw.conv, 'filename' is basically the name of file being converted internally by the system.
Error that I get is 'No profile with entry tool for task list / / / in session ROUTING_CREA', here ROUTING_CREA is the name of the session. I have given the value of field profile in 5th step when we map the fields and give some constants value for fields when required. I have given a constant value for field profile(BIPKO-PROFIDNETZ) in data maping. Profile basically contains some default values for routing when we create routing we can give the profile and routing will capture some default field values from the profile, under profile there is a check box which is 'entry tool' that must be in active mode if operation level data is required. I have done this setting going into SPRO. Now I do not know Whether the error that I got is due to the profile problem or am I missing something else. Kindly If someone before me has already been through this problem then suggest me how to fix this problem.

i think, the error is due to file naming convention in SPECIFY FILE step.
There will be a set of types of files.
1. Presentation server file name.
2. Application server file name.
etc. just double clock on the application server file name & try to change & give some meaningfulname.

Error in Task List while creating routing

Dear Guru's
When I create routing ,i am using MIC in the routing.While saving the routing I get a messaae Task List Contain Error , do you want to save .
Can any one will guide how to remove this error ?

Dear Chetan Chaskar,
Some of the reasons for this are
1.Check whether you have maintained formual keys,Cost centre,proper activity
types( for that cost centre )for your work centres which have mentioned in routing
details & assign control keys .
2.check whether you tried to change the time unit for the activity type ,when
alloting for an operation.
3.Always before saving routing just,test it by pressing check button Control+Shift
+F1,the system gives you Information,Error,Warning & termination messages.
4.Check the log and act accordingly.

BAPI / FM to create ROUTE

Hi ,
Is there any FM/ BAPI to create a route.
My client will give me the following details.
1.     Seq number
2.     Route Number
3.     Stop Number
4.     Customer number
5.     Arrival time
6.     Departure time
Sample data:
1     2    3       4             5      6
8   183 814 M51565 0824 0901
1   186 111 M57612 1540 1634
2   186 233 M57513 1652 1731
Using above information i need to create route. I tried BAPI 'BAPI_ROUTING_CREATE' ,but the above fields are not there in that BAPI.

Hi,
The Function module BAPI_ROUTING_CREATE is for creating Routing in PP module. Routing is a Template for Plant Production. I also worked with this function module to create Routing in PP. But the Inputs are Work center data, Sequences , Components like that.......

Fail when creating routing through bapi.

what are the mandatrory steps to create routing using bapi fm ( bapi_routing_create )?
when i create routing using bapi it is showing the routing is created succesfull but it is not updating in the standard table plko .

after bapi use commit
CALL FUNCTION 'BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT'.

I think the syntax regarding creating a table from Microsoft official website is wrong, but I really cannot believe that they made a mistake in such a basic and popular syntax. So I need to confirm this with you guys.
The syntax from Microsoft is as follows:

The part I am suspecting is
CREATE TABLE
[ database_name . [ schema_name ] . | schema_name . ] table_name
The way I understand this statement is that you can do either one of thing as below, they should all be correct:
1. just specify table_name
2. specify schema_name and table_name
3. specify database_name, schema_name and table_name
4. specify database_name and table_name
Based on my test, the number four is incorrect, which makes me confused
Can anyone correct me if I am wrong? Thanks！

You can exclude schema name but still need to put the dot
so its either
database.schemaname.
or
database..
before the table name

Policy regarding creating global or local classes?

Hi!
What policy do you have regarding creating local or global classes in your company? We have decided to mostly use local classes since there is a risk of reusing global classes (when changing something in the global class after it has been used by several programs etc.) . But on the other side it is much easier to use transaction SE24 than creating all the includes by hand. Have anyone else made thoughts about this issue?

Hi,
The policy is
Create global class if you want the class to be reused.
And to avoid problems when you change the class, make sure you change class in such a way that it does not effect the existing user's of the class.
Like use OPTIONAL parameters when you change method signature, avoid changing method names, instead add new methods.
You should use local classes only when you are sure that the code there is needed only by your program and nobody else.
If you keep creating local class's and if two programs need the same class it is redundant to create local class's and if you want a change in the class you have to change in all the places.

Error while creating routing in CA01

Hi,
I'm trying to create a routing for a material using CA01 in dev environment. I have given the input of a material number and plant that exists in the system, but when i execute it throws an error saying "Material type ZPRD is not defined for task list type N"
Message no. CT761
it suggests with procedure :
To create a task list with task list type N for a material with material type ZPRD, you must maintain the material type allocation under General data in Customizing for routings.
I didn't understand this procedure. Can anyone please help me how to proceed to find the solution.

It means you have to assign the task list type to material type ZPRD. Then it will carry its job:
The path is:
Go To-> SPRO-> IMG Activity-> Production-> Basic Data-> Routing-> General Data---> Define Material Type Assignments. T-Code: OP50

Error while creating Routing using LSMW

I am trying to create LSMW using Direct Input Method .
My structures are ::
RC271_DS Work center structure for direct input (for datasets)
RC27M_DS Material master view DIRECT INPUT routing for datasets
PLKO_DI_DS Header structure for direct input (for datasets)
PLPO_DI_DS Routing/item structure for direct input (for datasets.
I getting correct data from multiple flat files .
It's converting the data also .
But while executing start direct input method i am getting the followig error ....
You cannot edit the task list object with activity type
Please let me know problem guys .

Create Routing Groups using BAPI_ROUTING_CREATE Limitation?

Hi all,
I am doing a conversion for the routing groups for PP. The routing groups include sequence, operation number, material assigned and component allocation.
In this project, the BOM size of the material is super huge, thus to ease the conversion. I have used Function module to download the BOM structure and then allow user to maintain manually the operation and sequence. After that I will use BAPI BAPI_ROUTING_CREATE to do the conversion.
And I manage to get all operation, sequences, material assigned and component allocated. However, I face a problem as the BOM size keep increasing and same material BOM might be assigned to different header BOM at the same time. Thus, key field such as level and path is important for the input.
Note: Please check the order path in CA03, the technical name is STPOB-WEGXX1 with attribute type DEC length 4.
In my case, the Order Path is more than 99... around few hundreds.... But the issue is the order path field used in the BAPI_ROUTING_CREATE: BAPI1012_COM_C-ORDER_PATH is only has attribute type NUMC length 2.
Either I get a short dump by passing in the order path, or I might miss out the some component allocation using the BAPI. Anyone faces this before? Please advise.

I got this reply from SAP.
ORDER_LVL and ORDER_PATH need not be filled, but PATH has to be
filled with the KANTE values.
The logic to calculate path value is the same as the kante value.

-> C2 (P) 4

Note 305919 details this.
However, it quite confuses me as I read through sapnote 305919 : It seems like what is been replied from SAP does not really correct.
Symptom
You want to create component allocations to phantom assemblies using batch or direct input. In order to uniquely identify the phantom assembly, you must enter the level and the path. This note describes how the SAP System assigns the level and the path.
Thus, I will continue to check with SAP. I think this is the inconsistency of the database and the BAPI, correct me if I am wrong.
