Regarding DS3 link monitoring

We are having ds3 link (45Mb)terminated over 7507 router on fa4/1/1 port.
Now as it has been terminated over fastethernet port when it goes down
state of fa4/1/1 was up.
I want to know how to monitor it through ciscoworks LMS.I want to generate
alert when it goes down though fa4/1/1 interface is up
Second BW utilization its showing with scale of 100Mb as we are
terminating it over ethernet. We want it with scale of 45Mb
Please guide us on configuration on router and LMS

Hi
1] want to know how to monitor it through ciscoworks LMS.I want to generate
alert when it goes down though fa4/1/1 interface is up
To achive this one you can configure IP SLA in router to generate alert. Because Metro Ethernet link never goes down.
2] Second BW utilization its showing with scale of 100Mb as we are
terminating it over ethernet. We want it with scale of 45Mb
You need to change the interface detail in DFM .
I Recommend to post this question in Network Management you will get answer from Mr.Joe Clark

  • Regarding hyper-link function of Indesign

I recently find a surprising case of indesign regarding hyper-link function. I am using the hyper-link function to make a URL such as "www.t-mobile.com" to ensure the URL can be jumped correctly in Acrobat 6 or lower versions. Then I open the PDF and put the hand-tool over the URL. I wonder that the URL isn't correct (appeared as below screenshot). I try to find out why does it happen. I delete the "n-dash" between the "t" and "mobile", and re-create a PDF for a look. Then everything is fine. Would anyone please advise? Thanks ahead.

The way a hyperlink is presented and the name referenced in the hyperlink panel, you can use a en-dash in the address. But the way it is entered in the URL option of the panel: http://www.t-mobile.com, you must use a regular dash for the hyperlink to work.

  • Regarding iPhone link up with Mac book, am i charged by my cell company even if i am on wifi?

    Hi there!
Regarding iPhone link up with Mac book, am i charged by my cell company even if i am on wifi?
I ask because i travel to europe often, and need to get a phone there.. this would save me a whole lot of money and hastle
    Thank you

Streaming will be faster from the new iMac.  However it is still a good idea to keep the bulk of your material, 400 GB is a lot of content, on external drives.  That serves to protect the material if an internal drive fails, and also keeps the internal drive from getting too loaded down.  You can increase speed by simply moving content you want to use in the short term to the iMac SSD where it will be at its fastest speed, and then take it off when no longer needed there.
That gives the speed and security for your material.

  • Questions regarding using the .monitor command to retur a animated image and we would like feedback to a designed webpage that is monitoring a 5kW windturbine:)

I'm embedding a front panel image in an existing HTML dokument. I would like to use the command .monitor in the URL together with the refresh command so the VI automatic will reload every 20 secund. This actual work, but simultaneous I want to have the possibility to refresh manually so I don't have to wait 20 sec before new values is shown in the display. Is this possible to do?
Another question: Since the real time display updates 1-2 times a secund the command .monitor is used to get a animated picture of the Real Time Display.
There are several ways to add animation on to web pages. The techniques used h
ere are the server push and client pullwhich makes the browser repeatedly reloads a changing inline image to provide crude animated sequences. This is not the most efficient way as this results in an image being re-transmitted for each frame of the animation. The command .monitor with the attribute refresh and lifespan in the URL trigger this server push and client pull techniques.
I use this automatic refresh uploading of the display so that it each time shows different values, is this called crude animation? Then I'm wondering what I'm suppose to use the command lifespan to?I can't see the use of it in my display.....?
link to the webpage so you can have a look at the display:
    http://134.7.139.176/.monitor?Real%20Time%20Performance.vi&refresh=20
This is a project that I'm working together with another Norwegian friend. WE are very happy for feedback on our web page and displays go to: http://www.ece.curtin.edu.au/~peersena/ if you would like to view itThanks

    Annis,
One of the other things to keep in mind is that the generation of an image does take some computing power so having the generation and the acquistion on the same machine is not always ideal. If you're using the machine that is publishing the front panel just to collect data it's not so much of an issue.
If you really want to monitor in "Real-Time" using Remote Panels (requies LabVIEW 6.1) is your best option. This posting has more information on using Remote Panels and links to some live examples:
    http://exchange.ni.com/servlet/ProcessRequest?RHIVEID=101&RPAGEID=135&HOID=506500000008000000C0660000&UCATEGORY_0=_49_%24_6_&UCATEGORY_S=0&USEARCHCONTEXT_TIER_0=0&USEARCHCONTEXT_TIER_S=0&USEARCHCONTEXT_QUESTION_0=web+control&USEARCHCONTEXT_QUESTION_S=0
Remote panels makes it possible to control the application remotely as well.
With .monitor the only way I've been able to manually refresh is to "Shift+Refresh" on the browser.

  • Transaction linking, Monitoring and Alerting product

    Hi,
I wanted to check if there is any product from BEA Systems which can be used to
capture meta data at different points in a business transaction...The business
process could be a multi hop process...Meta data from one hop to another can usually
be linked with some attributes and some times the linking algorithm can be complex...
We are investigating if there are any products which can be used to capture the
transaction attributes, perform the linking between the meta data at different
hops and also where we can specify some business rules like if we don't have matching
data at some hops for a transaction flow to perform some altering function...So
the product will be doing some transaction monitoring activity...
If anyone has any information about this kind of software please let me know...
    Thanks
    Surajit

    Hi Ralph,
We are facing the same issue is our system. I have checked the specified note and observed that few of the systems had to be updated in Managed System Configuration. I have updated the systems. But, the alerts have not stopped.
Can you please tell me the procedure to resolve this issue?
    Thanks.

  • Regarding Dead line monitoring & Background Job

    Hi Dear PMs,
plz let me know regarding Deadline Monitoring (IP30) for Maint plan. Why it is requires? only for scheduling multiple plans at a time or is their any other reason?
    What is the meaning of,
      1. Interval for Call Objects
      2. Rescheduling included
      3. Immediate start for all in IP30 screen.
Why we need to run Back ground job? - only for scheduling open & save daily in background....or for any other reason?
requested you to giv in detail...
    Thanks in Advance...
    Amol.

In short, as the name suggest deadline monitoring is used to monitor deadlines so that any due activity could be done well in time. Deadline monitoring helps you to automatically schedule entries that are due within this period.  With the help of Deadline Monitoring, you could schedule multiple Maintenance Plans at the same time from the same transaction with respect to Plant maintenance. For different modules it could used for different purposes. In MM/WM, it could be used for mass changing the batch status. It is also used in Workflows. W.r.t PM, Using IP10, you are able to schedule maintenance plans individually, so to reduce time delays and increase efficiency, Deadline Monitoring is used.
Using F1 help on each of these fields should be helpful.
Interval of Call Objects specify the duration for which you want to execute monitoring of due entries. For example, mentioning 1 mon here would show me all the maintenance plan due for the complete month.
Immediate start for all: You can use this indicator to show whether the maintenance plans that correspond with the selection criteria are to be scheduled immediately, or whether a list of the selected maintenance plans is to be displayed.
Rescheduling Inc: You can use the automatic deadline monitoring to schedule a maintenance plan again or for the first time. If you need to reschedule any maintenance plan after having scheduled it, this indicator must be checked:
The following link might help you understand:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp60_sp/helpdata/EN/3c/abb350413911d1893d0000e8323c4f/frameset.htm
Executing in Background helps as it does not bother you to open up the ip30 screen and then print the document. The Document is printed automatically without you having to bother about it within the period u specify behind your background job settings. It could be monthly, daily, weekly, yearly etc. etc.

  • Question regarding using links in Discoverer 10g

    Hi All,
I have a workbook which uses links. The 1st worksheet is connected to the second worksheet using a simple parameter and link. It works fine.
But when a users saves this report and tries to use the link, Discoverer tries to open the work sheet from the query which I had created and not the one from the worksheet which the user has saved.
I am not sure if that the regular feature of the Link functionality or if there is a bug/workaround.
Is it possible to set these reports to open the worksheet from the saved workbook instead of the original one.
Any help is appreciated. Please let me know if I have confused you.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
I've had a look at this on Metalink and there seems to be lots of different bugs with manage links on 10g.
We build our reports under one user and share it with all other users, easier to manage. We've built some reports exactly has you have and it also works fine. I'll try to resave this as another user and see if we have the same problem.
For info there are links to several different bugs related to lots of scenarios Here (You'll need metalink access).
Couldn't find your exact problem in there so you want to raise it with Oracle.

  • Query regarding handling and monitoring of OSB Errors in a specific manner

    Hi,
    I'm using
    - OSB 10gR3 (10.3.1)
    Context
To give some context, the setup I currently have a proprietory frontend client that is making XML/HTTP requests to OSB
which in turn is getting info from downstream systems.
I have no control over the behaviour/logic of the frontend client .. apart from knowing that it has a specific
    request/response format.
    So now to the issue..
The issue I'm facing is regarding handling of errors. Based on my knowledge of OSB, the error handling of the transaction has been
    built along these lines
(Within the stage) If an error scenario's occurred, error is being thrown
(Within the error handler stage) Logging the error (using the 'Log' function .. with severity 'Error')
(Within the error handler stage) The response payload is being built .. so that the error can be reported to the frontend client
(Within the error handler stage) I'm doing a 'Reply with Success'
Now this does give me the expected behavior from the frontend client's perspective (... i.e. it receives the payload and displays whatever error that's occurred)
However from OSB's perspective, because I have done a 'Reply with success', the OSB Service Health Page ... (screenshot below) does not
increment the 'Errors' count for the respective proxy service ....
[OSB Service Health Page|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13159_01/osb/docs10gr3/operations/monitoring.html#wp1107685] (Looking at Figure 3-8)
The only way I could achieve this was to set the error handler stage to 'Reply with Failure' (which would return HTTP 500) ...
The issue however is that, the proprietory frontend simply sees the incoming HTTP 500 code and doesn't read the return XML payload (containing the error details ..)
which beats the whole idea of being able to maintain some sort of traceability for the failed transactions.
So what I'm basically trying to find is .. that when an error occurs
    - Some 'call' to make the during the error handler stage so that it registers as an error in the OSB Service Health Page.. and I can clearly
see the error count, etc for each of the proxy services
    - After that being able to still use 'Reply with Success' ... so that the payload is being returned with HTTP 500 code...
so the frontend can read the payload ...
............. in essence, the idea being to register errors so that they can be monitored via the Service Health Dashboard ..but at the same time
being able to return the 'error details' payload successfully
With my limited (but growing) knowledge of OSB .. I've tried quite a few ways to achieve this with no success...
Would very much appreciate any help here ...
Lastly, if there is some way of achieving what I'm trying to get to above through different means, I'm open
    to trying out alternate stuff.
    Regards,
    Himanshu

    Hi Atheek,
Many thanks for the reply. Does appear to be a pretty neat way of doing it ..
One more clarification I'd like on this however ....
Given that I have a set up like this below
[External frontend client] <------> (1 Parent Service) <------> (2 Child Service)
(1 Parent Service) .... has error handler .. and all it does is 'Reply with success'
(2 Child Service) .... has error handler for particular stage
    so...
2 Child Service - is doing the actual work (has error handler where custom error msg is being populated in $body)
1 Parent Service - is the one that is getting called by the external client (has error handler .. and all it does is 'Reply with success')
What I currently have is ..once the error occurs, I'm populating $body ... with the custom error message within the error handler
Previously I had 'Reply with Success' in the 2 Child Service's error handler and the custom error message would get returned to the external client.
Now, with the error handler only creating the custom error msg.... and 1 Parent service doing the 'Reply with Success' .. it doesn't appear
to return the $body .. with the custom msg that I'd populated .. in 2 Child Service's error handler.
Are the $body contents populated in 2 Child Service's error handler lost ...once the error propagates up to 1 Parent service's error handler ?
If yes... is there way of getting around it ? I could see for instance that the $fault message context has a 'user populated' Details variable
but the documentation covering this is sparse.

  • Query regarding Enterprise Link installation

    Hi,
Request a clarification from this forum.
I am working on the Oracle BAM example provided in the paper "Enabling Real Time Operational Analytics: Integration between Oracle E-Business Suite 11.5.10 and Oracle BAM 10.1.2". In the section titled "Design Data Extraction and Consolidation Layer", there are certain steps to be performed from Design Studio.
My existing installation was done using the package "bam_windows_x86_101330.zip" (which is without Enterprise Link). Now can I download the "bam_with_el_windows_x86_101330.zip" and run the installation just to install the Enterprise Link component separately without disturbing the current Oracle BAM setup?
    Thank you.
    Regards,
    Balu

When I am trying to login into Design Studio, below error is occurring:
Unable to connect to the Sagent Data Flow Service.
    [Sagent error code:  PlanMgrEnv -- 0x1, PlanMgrEnv -- 0xE]
    CSa_Exception
    [Sagent error code:  TP -- 0x2, TP -- 0x17]

  • 2x ATI cards, 2x dual-link monitors. How to make it work?

As per the subject, I have 2 ATI cards, they both seem to be detected/initialised by the kernel OK on bootup and are listed in lspci. I need two cards as I want to power two large displays which require dual-link dvi connections.
I can see from the X.org log that X only detects one of the cards, even if I specify two device sections with the relevant busID of each card in the xorg.conf. X just seems to complete ignore it. I'm using the open source radeon driver with an up-to-date arch system.  This has been driving me crazy for a couple of weeks now, to the point where I'm considering getting another PC to use to power the second screen!!
    LSPCI section:
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Cayman PRO [Radeon HD 6950]
01:00.1 Audio device: ATI Technologies Inc Device aa80
02:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Cayman PRO [Radeon HD 6950]
02:00.1 Audio device: ATI Technologies Inc Device aa80
    Device section from xorg:
    Section "Device"
    Identifier "Card0"
    Driver "radeon"
    BusID "PCI:1:0:0"
    EndSection
    Section "Device"
    Identifier "Card1"
    Driver "radeon"
    BusID "PCI:2:0:0"
    EndSection
I think the key to this is getting X to load the driver for the second graphics card, then I can configure it with xrandr - but I haven't got a clue how to do this... I'm guessing it's possible though??
    Thanks for any help!!

  • Information regarding AEOI Link Tables

    Hello Experts,
I am ABAP consultant, I have a requirement where in after creation of WBS BOM items With respect to Change Number for a material, through Tcode cs71 and upon SAVING it, a field available in Tcode CC02 ( Lock check box ) which is AEOI-CCLCK must be updated. I mean CCLCK ( Lock in CC02 ) field of AEOI table must be set to 'X' or BLANK.
I am clear that I need to update the CCLCK field of AEOI table for that I require key field values of the specified table ( AEOI ) which are AETYP and OBJKT in the TCODE CS71 if I write an enhancement in it.
Kindly tell me how to retrieve the corresponding values of AETYP and OBJKT from AENNR value available in the Tcode cs71.
    Regards,
    Murthy.

    > Please see the list of tables below and let me know whether these tables contain any Data which might e useful to the customer or is it just some metadata used by SAP and nothing else...
Well - you can check the content of the tables in SE11 and SE16. Whether the data is used or not depends on the customizing of the system and the applications/modules used. Whether this is "only" metadata can only be determined by the customer himself.
