Actually we need a requirement like this i.e
I want to install obiee 11g on two machines
Should be part of same domain
But want to run only one service on one host
Like bi server on one host
And presentation on another host
Can any one please help on this

AIA should be part of SOA domain OR OER Domain

Hi,
We are setting up a Clustered environment with 2 Nodes with WebLogic 11g, Oracle SOA suite 11g and AIA for the Customer.
In this, I have a question. We are creating two domains soa_domain (with Managed Server soa_server1 in the Node 1 and soa_server2 in the 2nd Node) for SOA components and oer_domain for OER related stuff.
My question is, where AIA is to be part of? Should it be part of soa_domain OR oer_domain?
Do we need to create seperate Managed Servers for AIA OR can we use same Managed Servers for AIA as SOA components (soa_server1 on Node1 and soa_server2 on Node2)?

How can two independent DirectAccess servers be set up safely in the same domain?

I've got a single-tier certificate authority running on a 2008 r2 domain controller with an expiring root certificate. I have a new 2012 r2 domain controller with a new single-tier certificate authority. I also have a DirectAccess server running on 2012
server (two NICs, NAT, IP-HTTPS only). I'd like to get a new DirectAccess server set up running server 2012 r2 using the new CA for the various DirectAccess server and client computer certs. I can get the new environment working and flip machines from
the existing implementation to the new implementation.
I was previously told by a tech working one of my Microsoft support tickets that two independent DirectAccess servers can't run in the same domain. However, I posted a related question

Yes you can have 2 Da deployments in one domain.
I have done this a number of times for customer when upgrading from UAG DA to 2012.
Make sure you use different Group policies for the DA servers and Clients. make sure you target the client with only one GPO at a time. Also use different AD groups.
You then change the GPO assignment to the clients and they will flip when the client does a gp update. I have done this for a site that had over 5000 clients and we didn't have one call about it.
You can use DirectAccess Offline Domain Join for any broken machines.

Normally Microsft allows the installation of their programs, except Operating Systems, to be installed on a desktop and notebook at the same time as long as both system are used exclusively by the same person and Not at the same time.
So this should also be true for MS Office for Mac. The only way to tell is to install it on the Mini and then use the same key to activate it. If the activation goes through you are fine. But if you run both system at the same time do not open any of the Office programs on both system at the same time. That may trigger MS to disallow one of the activations.
MS Office for both Mac and Windows checks the local network and logs into the MS activation site everytime one of the apps is started to check current activation and to check if you have it running on more then one computer on your local network using the same key.

there's no way for you to identify which machines have or had cs3 activated, and you can no longer purchase a cs3 license from adobe.
you can request an activation count reset (Contact Customer Care) and deactivate your cs3 on all your computers. you can then install and activate on up to two computers.

Installed firefox on two machines and created sync account on one. The other one does not sync

I just freshly installed the latest Firefox on two machines. Created a new account on one of them and started to download some add-ons and changed the preferences, then got to the other and signed in. It finished syncing but none of my changes were applied to the second machine.

Right now the add-ons got synced but the customization I did to the looks of it did not.
These customizations are: moving the home button right next to the back button and removing the search bar.
Conclusion: it takes a while(about an hour!!!!!) to sync these stuff, at least that is what happened with me though my connection was normal and not slow at all.

I want to purchase a desktop but the new Mac Pro is a little pricey whereas I can pick up a refurbished MacBook Pro like mine for 2k. But will the apps function even if it is only on two machines which the license allows for?? I need the advise because my FO doesn't want to dish out $2800 plus another grand for RAM. Sure it will install on two laptops, and will run, but not on a network.
But license is clear.
Whether you can do it is one issue; whether it is permitted and violates the license is something else.

Install photoshop element 8 in two machines

i have a copy of photoshop element_8. I installed in one personal computer (A). Then I installed the same copy in another computer (B). However, the second one had to be UN-installed (forgot the reason why). Now i just re-installed photoshop element_8 in the second machine (B) again, and it's telling me I have previously used up 2 licenses, and I only have 30 days left to use in the second machine (B). But, I am only installing my Photoshop Element_8 in TWO machines total. What do I do? Help!!

Solaris Cluster - two machines - logical host

I am a complete dummie Solaris Cluster, buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut... I need to create a cluster and install an application:
I have two V440, with Solaris 10;
I need to put the two machines in the cluster;
I have CE0 of each of the machines plugged into the network;
I have CE1 and CE2 of each machine connected together via a crossover cable;
According to the documentation "Oracle Solaris Cluster HA for Alliance Access" there are prerequisites (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E19680-01/html/821-1547/ciajejfa.html) as creating HAstoragePlus , and logical host resource group;
Could anyone give me some tips on how to create this cluster and the prerequisites?

To create a highly available logical IP address just do
clrg create <name-for-resource-group>
clrslh create -g <name-for-resource-group> <name-of-ip-address> # This IP address should be available in /etc/hosts on both cluster nodes.
clrg online -M <name-for-resource-group>
