Regarding Java Installation in Windows Vista-AMD64

Hi All,
Please help me out how to install Java into my system the one I specified in subject. Even though I try to install JDK_1.5.2_amd64.exe the error seems "contact to product vendor". So please give me the step by step for installation.

If all else fails, your Vista could just be screwy.
If you're willing to go that far, and you've exhausted all other options, you could try reformatting and reinstalling Vista. (Or even XP, since it's way more stable. :D)
At any rate, this doesn't seem to be the file's problem, as plenty of people have gotten it working.
Have you installed any ... "distasteful" software on your computer, or tweaked stuff like a hardcore techie? Because it's quite easy to screw with Windows. :)

The problem with J2EE is the support status of the used JDK. Sun does not support 1.4.2 under Vista/Windows 2008, technically it works.

• MSI 975X PROBLEM WITH INSTALLATION ON WINDOWS VISTA

I have MB MSI-975X PLATINUM v.1 withbios ver 1.3,processor Pentium D940 (3,2GHz/800/2x2MB),2X512MB DDR-2 667MHz,in the beginning when I start the installation on WINDOWS VISTA the computer is bloked od it is restart. This problem I solved when I put another processor INTEL 541(3,2GHz/800/1MB) whit this processor everthing is ok,but with INTEL 940 it can not be install WINDOWS VISTA .
I’m asking you for a new superstructure on bios update .

Beta 2 or RC1 candidate???? RC1 should support..........
Beta 2 is real, slow and you have alot of updates to DL, but both are pre-release products and will not work 100%.
Even when Vista is released, they will still be alot of hardware that will not work 100% and this is purely because software is always playing catch up to hardware.
It was only September, when Nvidia released some Beta2/RC1 drivers that worked properly........

• I cannot connect to the Internet after installation of Windows Vista Ultimate edition.

I cannot connect to the Internet after installation of Windows Vista Ultimate edition. For some odd reason, it seems my ethernet has not yet been installed to my operating system and I do not know how to do that even with the internet, I have the LAN cable hooked up to my computer but I do not know exactly what to do about it. Is there some sort of driver I need to install, or what? How do I do that without the internet?
This operating system is on a separate partition to my other operating system that is connected to internet already (Windows Vista Premium) that I do not wish to use anymore because of it's corruption. I tell you this because you may know a way of finding the driver files on my previous operating system that I may be able to transfer to the other.

• Are there any issues regarding running Labview on Windows Vista

I am a cognitive psychology graduate student, and I am considering switching to LabView to display stimuli and gather RT data. I have previously used E-Prime for this task, but E-Prime doesn't seem to run well with Windows Vista. Are there any known issues regarding running LabView with Windows Vista?
Thanks
Chris

I've had no problems on Vista*. Only issue I've had was concerning how Vista uses fonts, but if you start on Vista and don't switch between XP and Vista, etc., then you'll be OK.
*no problems with LabVIEW's compatibility with Vista. Now, Vista in general, that's another story and not for this thread/forum.

Hi fardei,
If you use the HDD recovery to reinstall Windows, your whole computer will not be formatted. Only the first partition will be deleted and thats all. Check the Toshiba document how the HDD recovery option works.
Using the Toshiba recovery disk creator tool allows you to create a recovery disk. Normally on the first start up where you purchased the notebook, you did get the following message:
+Important INFORMATION+
+your system is equipped with hard disk recovery system. if you need to repair+
+your computer by restoring it to original factory state, you can do it directly+
+from harddisk (press F8 when you boot your computer, choose "Repair your computer"+

• Distribution of Java JRE on Windows Vista Ultimate x64

The automatic update of the Java JRE on my Windows Vista Ultimate x64 system often comes up saying a new update is available but then as soon as I go ahead to install it, the update tells me that the particular version of the JRE is already installed.
How can this automatic update bug for new JRE installations be fixed.

Uninstall the software cleanly via the "Add or Remove programs" panel, then run another install. The breakdown is in the licensing system, not the application itself. Do not run the clean scripts until you have attempted this. If it still fails, then indeed a call to Adobe tech might do wonders...

• SAP installation in windows vista

For latest windows vista operating system shall SAP installation will support?
Thanks.

No.
Vista is a CLIENT operating system. If you want to use Windows use Windows 2003 or Windows 2008.
http://service.sap.com/pam contains valid platform/database combinations.

• OBIEE 10.1.3. installation on Windows Vista 64 bit

I am trying to install OBIEE 10.1.3 on my laptop which has Windows Vista home premium (64 bit)
I initially installed JDK 64 bit but Java Host service was not starting up resulting in below error
Properties: ThreadID-7044
Location:
saw.sawjavahost.initsawjavahost
saw.threads
%1 is not a valid Win32 application.
I then uninstalled JDK 64 bit and installed 32 bit version (jdk1.6.0_31).
Now Java host service is running fine but OC4J is not starting up and shows below error
Exception java.lang.Exception: C:\OracleBI\server\Bin\perfjni.dll: Can't load IA 32-bit .dll on a AMD 64-bit platform
java.lang.Exception: C:\OracleBI\server\Bin\perfjni.dll: Can't load IA 32-bit .dll on a AMD 64-bit platform
Is there a work around to this catch 22 situation?

Hi,
Remove all the old BI Contents.
Now, Before installing Obiee install JDK 1.6 or higher version.
Now, while you install Obiee - Right click the setup file (application) and click on properties.
Go to compatibility mode - check mark the option 'run the program in compatibility mode for:' and select windows vista from the drop down box.
And, check mark even privilege level (Run as administrator).
Now, during installation - it prompts for java path - use jdk path which was installed.
And.. Go on.. from here.

• HELP!! iTunes installation causes Windows Vista Activation corruption

We bought a new Dell Inspiron laptop from Dell that came with Windows Vista (32 bit)= a legal copy. I have tried to install the latest version of iTunes. The software seems to install ok, but when it is finished, I get messages from Vista that the my Windows Vista may be counterfeit, that I need to validate it. When I try to validate, it fails and never validates, and the machine no longer boots up in normal mode. The only thing that I can do is go into safe mode and restore the operating system to before I tried the install. The end result is no more iTunes until I can figure this out. Has anyone else seen this problem? Everything else is working fine.

Try following steps:
1. Go to Microsoft website to fix install and Unistall problems. Click "Run now" from Fix it to remove all iTunes & related installer files:
http://support.microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall
Be aware that Windows Installer CleanUp Utility will not remove the actual program from your computer. However, it will remove the installation files so that you can start the installation, upgrade, or uninstall over.
2. You should remove all instances of iTunes and the rest of the components listed below:
it may be necessary to remove all traces of iTunes, QuickTime, and related software components from your computer before reinstalling iTunes.
Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order:
iTunes
QuickTime
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
Follow the instructions from Apple article listed here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923 to remove all components
3. Reboot your computer. Next, download iTunes from here:http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ and install from scratch

• ITunes installation on Windows Vista

Hi there. As everyone knows Windows Vista is already available in MSDN. I've already got it. The problem is that the installer of current iTunes version (7.0.2) doesn't want to install the program. The error message tells smth about wrong or impossible disk E:\. So please update the installer because I want to update my songslist in iPod:)

Let's try a standalone Apple Application Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of the issue.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:
http://www.rarlab.com/
Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
Does it install properly for you?
If instead you get an error message during the install, let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.)

• Java-plugin for windows vista question

Hello,
What is the best java -plug ins for the windows Vista OS in the client? Is JRE 1.6 is good or we need to get anything higher? we have currently jre1.6 but at startup itis giving some problem.
does anybody uses window vista as clint ? if so what is your java-plug in?
appreacite for the answer
Thanks
Edited by: Josh Samuel on Jan 12, 2009 8:06 AM

Highest Version of JRE would be 1.6.0_11. But there exists some very annoying Bugs with Forms and Update 10 and 11 of the 1.6 Java Runtime. At the moment we use 1.6.0_07 for our Forms which runs fine (and advise our customers to turn Java Update off ;-))

• Java 3D in windows vista

I am totally new to Java 3D and using it, although I do have to learn it for a project.
The only help I need is a step-by-step guide as to how to set up Java 3D on a Windows Vista 64 bit system.
I don't know how to go about setting it up, what I need or what I need to download in order to start, and having a set-up that allows me to write my prgrams and then compile.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

I have already realised the error of my ways, and have re-posted this at the Java 3D forum, but I would still appreciate any help, thanks again!
