Regarding java xmlmanager and transactions

xmlmanager has a prepare function that takes in an xmltransaction as a parameter and returns a xmlqueryexpression. if i prepare a query expression object with the prepare function and an xmltransaction object, can i safely reuse that xmlqueryexpression object with a different xmltransaction object?
thanks.

I think that's OK but the xmlqueryexpression object should be reused AFTER the expression object has been prepare by XmlTransaction::commit() sucessfully .
For example:
XmlTransaction txn1 = mgr.creatTransaction();
std::string query = <The query expression>;
XmlExpression expr = mgr.prepare(txn1, query, qc);
txn1.commit();
XmlQueryContext qc = mgr.createQueryContext();
XmlTransaction txn2 = mgr.createTransaction();
expr.execute(txn2, qc);
txn2.commit();

  • Regarding Java mapping and ABAP Mapping

    Hello,
         If I suppose to do Java mapping or ABAP mapping, Is there any pre requisite to perform these two mappings?
    If exist what they are?
    How to perform them?
    Thank you

    Hello jyotsna,
    Java mapping can be used when you have complex mapping structures.
    We can do most of the times for our requirements through Graphical mapping.
    When the structures are very complex to build you can go for SAX (Simple API for XML) or DOM (Document Object Model) parsers.
    Message mapping internally generates DOM parser.

    ABAP mappings run on ABAP Stack and are developed in the ABAP workbench of the Integration Server.
    You normally do not need to use the ABAP mappings and is preferable for someone with ABAP programming background. I should say JAVA functions would suffice any complex scenarios.

    You need to provide the name of your mapping program maually , you see it is an input box.
    just provide the name of abap mapping program it will work.
    and one more thing you cannot test abap mapping program in integration builer you need to test in abap only.

  • Java sha1 and PHP sha1

    Hello to everyone.
    When encoding with PHP using sha1 i do not get the same result as Java's sha1 encoding.
    For example encoding letter 'e' in PHP produces:
    58e6b3a414a1e0[b]90dfc6029add0f3555ccba127f
    whereas in Java it produces:
    58e6b3a414a1e0[b]3fdfc6029add0f3555ccba127f
    Below is the code i am using for both Java and PHP
    String password=pass;
              java.security.MessageDigest d =null;
              try {
                   d = java.security.MessageDigest.getInstance("SHA-1");
              } catch (NoSuchAlgorithmException e) {
                   // TODO Auto-generated catch block
                   e.printStackTrace();
              d.reset();
              d.update(password.getBytes());
              String secret = new String (d.digest());
              secret.getBytes();
              StringBuffer sb = new StringBuffer(secret.getBytes().length * 2);
            for (int i = 0; i < secret.getBytes().length; i++) {
                 int b = secret.getBytes() & 0xFF;
    sb.append(HEX_DIGITS.charAt(b >>> 4)).append(HEX_DIGITS.charAt(b & 0xF));
    return sb.toString();
    PHP Code:
    $str = 'e';
    $str2=sha1($str2);
    echo $str2;Anyone had similar problems and found a solution to them? I cannot see any mistake in the code so any help would be much appreciated.
    P.S: I am running Java 1.4 and PHP 5.1.6 configuration
    Kind Regards
    Christophoros

    Hi,
    I found your reply regarding "Java sha1 and PHP sha1" on the forum and would like to ask another related question.
    I use the following statement to insert username/password to the database:
    INSERT INTO [db_Report].[dbo].[tblLogin]
    ([USERNAME]
    ,[PASSWORD])
    VALUES
    ('test'
    ,HashBytes('MD5', 'password'))
    GO
    In my Java code, however, the following method always return false. I noticed that in the database
    HashBytes('MD5', 'password') returns "0x5F4DCC3B5AA765D61D8327DEB882CF99"
    while
    The the encrypted login password is "[B@13d93f4" in the Java code.
    In this case, how should I check the password, using MessageDigest or not ?
    Many thanks.

  • Current server is the coordinator and transaction is not found

    Hi,
    We're using Weblogic 8.1 SP3. We have a single weblogic domain and 2 clusters in it. EAR1 is deployed in cluster 1 and EAR2 is deployed in cluster 2. EAR2 is compiled and created using j2ee.jar and not weblogic.jar.
    We have a MessageDrivenBean which is CMT / Required in EAR1 calls a BMT Stateless Session Bean in EAR2.
    A new transaction is begun in the BMT SB method and commit or rollback is called based on exception. A RuntimeException is thrown back to the MDB in case the transaction is rolled back in Bean Managed SB.
    Sometimes from the Bean Managed SB the following exception is thrown:
    javax.transaction.TransactionRolledbackException: Current server is the coordinator and transaction is not found. It was probably rolled back and forgotten already.

    I'm seeing a similiar problem on our servers recently and thought I would add my problem as well. We are using Weblogic 8.1; don't know which SP is in production. We have an EAR file with an SB EJB that puts messages in a queue. The EAR is deployed in a cluster along with the queues. The errors below occurred in 3 of the 4 WLS instances in our cluster. This happened during a peak period and lasted for several seconds in Production.

  • Can i display My application iview and transaction iview in single page ?

    Hi,
    I am new in web dynpro and portal. i am doing one approval application through web dynpro. Now i need to attache sap inbox to application. For that some budy suggested me about transaction view. So my questions are as folloes.
    1.> How i attached my application to iview ?
    2.> How i created Transaction  iview ?
    3.> Can i attache my application iview with transaction iview if it is possible then how ?
    4.> Can i display My application iview and transaction iview in single page ?
    Please guide me in this procesure.
    Regards,
    Gurprit Bhatia

    Hi Gurprit,
    1.> How i attached my application to iview ?
           You can attach your application to web Dynpro IView, for this login into portal, in the Content Management tab right click on a folder, then New --> IView. Select WD java Application. Select your application and create an Iview.
    2.> How i created Transaction iview ?
           Similarly, instead of selecting WD java Application, select iView template, you will get a list of available templates, and in this you will find template for Transaction Iview, in this template define the Tx for which you want to create the template.
    3.> Can i attache my application iview with transaction iview if it is possible then how ?
          No, I dont think you can attach your application to transaction Iview. but, you can attach both IViews on single page.
    4.> Can i display My application iview and transaction iview in single page ?
          Yes, you can attach  both IViews on single page. Again in Content Management tab, crate a PAGE; Then right click on created IViews and select  add IView to Page ßß: Delta Link.
    Hope this helps.

  • What is ABAP/JAVA Proxy and whats the use of it?

    Hello All,
    What is ABAP/JAVA Proxy. And why do we need to use them? I am not sure of the definitions given on help.sap.com. Thats the reason I am posting this question. Right answer will be rewarded. Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Farooq.

    HI Farooq
    <u><i>ABAP Proxy</i></u>
    ABAP server proxy is created for the inbound interface creted in XI's Integration repository proxy should be created in the business system for which the interface is created .
    U can reference following link :
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/02/265c3cf311070ae10000000a114084/frameset.htm
    Server Proxies are generated for Inbound Message Interfaces. These are used to Process the Data coming into SAP System from an external application.
    Sproxy is the transaction to generate Proxies.
    Plz refer to this blog on abap server proxies

    <u><i>Java Proxy</i></u>
    Java Proxoies are used to allows your java Applications ( j2ee, j2se applications )to interact directly to the Integration Server of XI without any special adapters.
    All documents are available on SDN itself .

    Proxies help you achieve non-standard functionality for which the out of box XI adapters do not suffice. Just to give you an example, consider a system with which XI has to integrate , the only interface the system offers is a TCP / IP socket based interface. You could write a Java proxy which would interact over sockets with your target system, which is not possible with other standard adapters which are shipped with your XI installation
    You can refer demo on SDN TV, on this link

  • Difference b/w Java Class and Bean class

    hi,
    can anybody please tell me the clear difference between ordinary java class and java Bean class. i know that bean is also a java class but i donno the exact difference between the both.
    can anybody please do help me in understanding the concept behind the bean class.
    Thank u in advance.
    Regards,
    Fazlina

    While researching this question, I came across this answer by Kim Fowler. I think it explains it better than any other answer I have seen in the forum.
    Many thanks Kim
    Hi
    Luckily in the java world the definition of components is a little
    less severe than when using COM (I also have, and still occasionaly
    do, worked in the COM world)
    Firstly there are two definitions that need to be clarified and
    separated: JavaBean and EnterpriseJavaBean (EJB)
    EJB are the high end, enterprise level, support for distributed
    component architectures. They are roughly equivalent to the use of MTS
    components in the COM/ COM+ world. They can only run within an EJB
    server and provide support, via the server, for functionality such as
    object pooling, scalability, security, transactions etc. In order to
    hook into this ability EJB have sets of interfaces that they are
    required to support
    JavaBeans are standard Java Classes that follow a set of rules:
    a) Hava a public, no argument constructor
    b) follow a naming patterns such that all accessor and modifier
    functions begin with set/ get or is, e.g.
    public void setAge( int x)
    public int getAge()
    The system can then use a mechanism known as 'reflection/
    introspection' to determine the properties of a JavaBean, literally
    interacting with the class file to find its method and constructor
    signatures, in the example above the JavaBean would end with a single
    property named 'age' and of type 'int' The system simply drops the
    'set' 'get' or 'is' prefix, switches the first letter to lower case
    and deduces the property type via the method definition.
    Event support is handled in a similar manner, the system looks for
    methods similar to
    addFredListener(...)
    addXXXListener
    means the JavaBean supports Fred and XXX events, this information is
    particularly useful for Visual builder tools
    In addition there is the abiliity to define a "BeanInfo' class that
    explicitly defines the above information giving the capability to hide
    methods, change names etc. this can also be used in the case where you
    cannot, for one reason or another, use the naming patterns.
    Finally the JavaBean can optionally - though usually does - support
    the Serializable interface to allow persistence of state.
    As well as standard application programming, JavaBeans are regularly
    used in the interaction between Servlets and JSP giving the java
    developer the ability to ceate ojbect using standard java whilst the
    JSP developer can potentially use JSP markup tags to interact in a
    more property based mechanism. EJB are heaviliy used in Enterprise
    application to allow the robust distribution of process
    HTH.

  • Java ME and asp connectivity

    Hello everyone,
    I know this is a very repetitive question but i still havent found a satisfying solution anywhere.
    Here is the scenario:
    I am developing a MIDlet which recieves an Account number as the body of an SMS.
    I have a database in MS-Access which stores account numbers and corresponding account balances.
    I need to retrieve the balance from the database.
    HTTP connection allows the asp functionality on Java ME SDK 3.0 but not when the midlet is installed on my Samsung SGH-X700 phone.
    I want the connectivity between the phone and PC through USB cable.
    I mean the midlet works on emulators but does not access the files through USB cable
    How to access http://localhost/test1.asp (which is on PC) through the cable?
    OR can it be done through a CommConnection?Please help.

    thanks for the reply Prakash.
    So, i'm using websphere with JCO to connect Bw.
    Actually, i encountered the same return message in my java code and during the se37 transaction.
    In se37 transaction:
    I call the Bapi BAPI_MDDATASET_CREATE_OBJET
    I set manually an mdx command generated with MDXTEST
    on my BW query.
    this BAPI return a DATASETID
    the persistence of the object is ok.
    after that, if i use the bapi BAPI_MDDATASET_CHECK_SYNTAX
    or BAPI_MDDATASET_SELECT_DATA with this DATASETID...
    I have always the same error as return message.
    RS_EXCEPTION : CL_RSR_MDX_COMMAND========CP
    the problem is coming from the DATASETID?
    Thanks,
    best regards,

  • Diff B/W master data and transaction data

    Hi all,
    What is the main Diff B/W master data and transaction data.  give me some example ?
    Thanks in Advance
    Krish...

    hi krish,
    MASTER Data is the data that exists in the organization like employee details, material master, customer master, vendor master etc. These are generally created once.
    Master data are distributed throughout the company, they are often not standardised and often redundant. As a result it is very costly to offer efficient customer service, keep track of supply chains and make strategic decisions. With SAP Master Data Management (SAP MDM) these important business data from across the company can be brought together, harmonised and made accessible to all staff and business partners. As a key component of SAP NetWeaver, SAP MDM ensures data integrity via all IT systems.
    Regardless of the industry, companies often work with different ERP and Legacy systems. The result: the business processes are based on information about customers, partners and products which is displayed in different ways in the systems. If the data are recorded manually, there are more inconsistencies: some data sets are entered several times, others cannot be retrieved by all divisions of the company.
    As corporate applications are becoming increasingly complex and produce ever greater amounts of data, the problem is intensified further. Nevertheless, your employees must work with the inconsistent data and make decisions on this basis. The lack of standardised master data easily leads to wrong decisions, which restrict efficiency and threaten customer satisfaction and profitability.
    In a word: in order to save costs and ensure your company’s success it is necessary to consolidate master data about customers, partners and products, make them available to all employees beyond system boundaries and use attributes valid company-wide for the purpose of description.
    TRASNACTION Data - These are the business documents that you create using the master data - Purchase orders, sales orders etc

  • Use java edition and native edition at same time in a single java app

    Hi
    I have a situation where I need to use both versions of berkeley Db at the same time. I have an external library that I use that requires the Java edition and my own code that uses the native version. Unfortunately the source code of the library is not available and I don't want to redesign my program to use the Java edition.
    Some packages in je.4.0.103.jar and db.jar (version 5.1) contain the same naming structure and same classes eg. com.sleepycat.persist.EntityStore. I removed the duplicated packages in je.4.0.103.jar However it seems that the implementation is slightly different between the two version as I get
    java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: com.sleepycat.persist.EntityStore.<init>(Lcom/sleepycat/je/Environment;Ljava/lang/String;Lcom/sleepycat/persist/StoreConfig;)V
    When I simply had both versions available my code for the native version kept using the packages from the Java edition and the external library kept on using the native version and as a result I got loads of runtime errors.
    So how do I tell them apart. The problem is because both sets of packages have identical names and class names so Java does not know which ones to use. I am using eclipse so maybe there is some option where I can tell certain classes to use certain packages.
    Any ideas?

    Hi,
    We don't officially support using BDB and BDB JE from the same JVM process.
    It's possible to work around this limitation by creating two [url http://download.oracle.com/javase/1.4.2/docs/api/java/lang/ClassLoader.html] Java Classloaders  that load one of the two jar files. When calling BDB or BDB JE methods, the call must be bracketed with calls like this that cause the correct classloader to be used:
    ClassLoader saveLoader = Thread.currentThread().getContextClassLoader();
    Thread.currentThread().setContextClassLoader(/* specify correct loader for BDB or BDB JE here */);
    try {
       // do something with BDB or BDB JE
    } finally {
      Thread.currentThread().setContextClassLoader(saveLoader);
    }We are not experts on classloaders and we don't have an example of doing this. We have not done it ourselves, we only know that users have done it.
    I hope this helps.
