  • Require Configuration Details regarding JDBC Sender Adapter Parameters

    Hi All,
    I have a scenario in which I need to read around 2 million records from an SQL Server table and process.
    Since the data content is very huge, I have decided to split the data and execute.
    So, in the select statement of my SQL Server Query, I used Select top(2000) from table name with my where condition.
    In the update statenment, I used update tablename set my required values from (my select query written above).
    QOS -> EOIO
    I have given the queuename as my tablename
    Poll Interval is "120" seconds.
    My idea is to process 2000 records at a time.
    When I am executing this interface through RWB, I am getting an error in update statement saying
    The JDBC driver returned the following error message: 'com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: Unable to start a nested transaction for OLE DB provider "SQLNCLI" for linked server (serverdetails). A nested transaction was required because the XACT_ABORT option was set to OFF.'. For details, contact your database server vendor."
    I have also tried in advanced tab the name of the variable as XACT_ABORT and its value as "ON", but to no avail.
    Please let me know if I have missed anything. Do I need to set any additional parameters in the advanced tab of JDBC sender communication channel?
    Any help is highly appreciated.
    Regards
    Kiran.

    HI Kiran
    Fist of all suggestion is to increase the polling time. It may not process 2000 records in 120 second and you will poll again.
    Paste your query to check if there is a problem
    Also do check with SAP Note 831162 to verify if there is something you are doing wrong.
    Thanks
    Gaurav

  • How to update two tables in a single call using JDBC Sender adapter

    Hello All,
    The scenario is, database entries have to be selected from two tables and at the same time those tables have to be udpated with the flag.
    We are using JDBC sender adapter and in Select Query, we are fetching the data by joinin the two tables.
    Update Statemtent: We can only update one table using this statement.
    Is it possible to update two tables using the Update Statement without using Stored Procedures.
    Let me know.
    Regards,
    Sreenivas.

    Hi Sreenivas,
    > Is it possible to update two tables using the Update Statement without using Stored Procedures.
    Yes its possible through join statement

  • JDBC Sender Adapter - Records sent one at a time

    Hello everyone,
    Here's a summary of my scenario JDBC > XI > RFC.
    My select statement (JDBC) looks like this:
    SELECT * FROM BATCH WHERE STATUS='Y'
    The problem is, whenever it returns multiple rows, the RFC can only accept one record at a time (1...1), so I need to pick up the records from the DB and send them one at a time.
    Currently, this is how the output XML looks like:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
      <ns:SQL_RESP_MT xmlns:ns="http://www.pharmaindustries.com">
      <row>
      <number>200000000472</number>
      <status>Y</status>
      </row>
      <row>
      <number>200000000473</number>
      <status>Y</status>
      </row>
      <row>
      <number>200000000474</number>
      <status>Y</status>
      </row>
    </ns:SQL_RESP_MT>
    Instead, I need each row to be picked up and sent one at a time.
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
      <ns:SQL_RESP_MT xmlns:ns="http://www.pharmaindustries.com">
      <row>
      <number>200000000472</number>
      <status>Y</status>
    </ns:SQL_RESP_MT>
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
      <ns:SQL_RESP_MT xmlns:ns="http://www.pharmaindustries.com">
      <number>200000000473</number>
      <status>Y</status>
      </row>
    </ns:SQL_RESP_MT>
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
      <ns:SQL_RESP_MT xmlns:ns="http://www.pharmaindustries.com">
      <number>200000000474</number>
      <status>Y</status>
      </row>
    </ns:SQL_RESP_MT>
    Does anyone know the changes I need to make in my current SELECT statement or the JDBC Sender Adapter to make this possible.
    Thanks in advance!
    Glenn

    Thank you all for your replies. I'll check out your link in a bit, Phani. Thanks!
    A SpliByValue won't work since the BAPI Header is (1...1).
    Luckily, during testing, I found out that the BAPI (BAPI_PRODORDCONF_CREATE_TT) handles multiple lines in one of the subelements of the header so that was where I mapped the Rows.
    I might need to trigger multiple BAPIs in the future, so I'll take a good look at your suggestions, but for now, I'm marking this question answered.
    Warm regards,
    Glenn

    Regards,

    Rahul,
    > In this case i believe the interface has to be synch.
    > So what will the response message type be like..
    Not necessary. UPDATE can be asynch as well.
    Can you turn the trace on like pointed by Michal and then you can see the Query in the Audit Log of the adapter montioring. Try to execute the same query from your DB Client like TOAD and see what is the Syntax error you are getiing.!
    The problem looks like some field has some dataype / column name mismatch.

  • JDBC Receiver Adapter -- Synch Select. ERROR

    Hello,
    We have implemented the scenario described by Bhavesh Kantilal in blog 3928:
    JDBC Receiver Adapter -- Synchronous Select – Step by Step
    /people/bhavesh.kantilal/blog/2006/07/03/jdbc-receiver-adapter--synchronous-select-150-step-by-step
    but modified to our requirements.
    An Idoc is coming in, mapped to a sync receiver jdbc as described to collect data from a jdbc table.
    Result when connecting the oracle database with the jdbc receiver adapter:
    Error processing request in sax parser: Error when executing statement for table/stored proc. 'T_ST_MAINDRIVER' (structure 'STATEMENT'): java.sql.SQLException: ORA-00942: table or view does not exist
    Oh, like to complete the information by the payload from the jdbc rec. connect:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    - <ns0:MT_JDBC_LOOPUP_ID xmlns:ns0="http://www.xxx.org/excel">
    - <STATEMENT>
    - <TABLENAME ACTION="SELECT">
      <TABLE>T_ST_MAINDRIVER</TABLE>
      <ACCESS />
    - <KEY>
      <MAINDRIVER compareOperation="=">Optomechanical</MAINDRIVER>
      </KEY>
      </TABLENAME>
      </STATEMENT>
      </ns0:MT_JDBC_LOOPUP_ID>
    The table exists on the database. So, what is our mistake? Do you have any ideas?
    Best regards

    Hi Anil,
    I am back on my JDBC problem and I am one step further!
    Thank you for this hint. Looks like this is the solution.
    So I like to add my next question !
    My new error is resulting from my query command.
    I have set "=" to find a specific entry as compare operation.
    Error when executing statement for table/stored proc. 'IRIS.T_ST_MAINDRIVER' (structure 'STATEMENT'): java.sql.SQLException: FATAL ERROR document format in structure 'TABLENAME': unexpected value '=' for attribute 'compare' found
    Looks like this is not ok .
    This is my xml of this query:
    <ns0:MT_JDBC_LOOPUP_ID xmlns:ns0="http://www.xxx.org/excel">
       <STATEMENT>
          <TABLENAME ACTION="SELECT">
             <TABLE>IRIS.T_ST_MAINDRIVER</TABLE>

             </KEY>
          </TABLENAME>

    Can you, or anybody else, give the helping idea?

  • JDBC Receiver Adapter Error

    Hi All,
    I am executing SP by using JDBC Receiver Adapter.
    My strcture is follows
    <STATEMENT2>
    <SP_CREATE_T_BATCH action="EXECUTE">
    <spName type="VARCHAR">SP_CREATE_T_BATCH</spName>
    <IN_Control_Recipe hasQuot="No" type="Integer">100000000001723850</IN_Control_Recipe>
    </SP_CREATE_T_BATCH>
    </STATEMENT2>
    The below error I am getting
    Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: Error processing request in sax parser: Error when executing statement for table/stored proc. 'SP_CREATE_T_BATCH' (structure 'STATEMENT2'): java.lang.NumberFormatException: For input string: "100000000001723850"
    Any help on this

    Hi Ram,
    Since you mentioned that your SP has one input parameter and one output parameter, the structure of the XML message at the JDBC receiver side should be:
    <STATEMENT2>
    <SP_CREATE_T_BATCH action="EXECUTE">
    <IN_Control_Recipe isInput="true" hasQuot="No" type="BIGINT">100000000001723850</IN_Control_Recipe>
    <Output_Parameter isOutput="true" type="SQLDataType"></Output_Parameter>
    </SP_CREATE_T_BATCH>
    </STATEMENT2>
    Here, i have assumed the following:
    SP_CREATE_T_BATCH   - The name of the Stored Procedure to be executed
    IN_Control_Recipe - Input parameter of the SP and its SQLDataType is BIGINT as suggested by Stefan.
    Output_Parameter - Output parameter of the SP. You may enter the SQL data type as per the output of your Stored Procedure.
    The following SQL data types are supported:
    INTEGER, BIT, TINYINT, SMALLINT, BIGINT, FLOAT, REAL, DOUBLE, NUMERIC, DECIMAL, CHAR, VARCHAR, STRING, LONGVARCHAR, DATE, TIME, TIMESTAMP, BINARY, VARBINARY, LONGVARBINARY, BLOB (input and output),CLOB (input and output), CURSOR (output; only in conjunction with the Oracle JDBC driver).
    Hope this will surely solve your problem.
    Regards, Gaurav.

  • JDBC Receiver Adapter - Call Stored Procedure

    Hi,
    I am using a JDBC receiver adapter to call a stored procedure in oracle.
    My target structure looks like:-
    <STATEMENT>
    <storedProcedureName action="EXECUTE">
    <table>realStoredProcedureName</table>
    <serialDate hasQuot="NO" isInputType="true" type="date">TO_DATE('07-15-2008 08:00:11','MM-DD-YYYY HH24:MI:SS')</serialDate>
    <serialNo isInputType="true" type="NUMERIC">123456</serialNo>
    </storedProcedureName>
    </STATEMENT>
    The storedprocedure takes two input values and has one output value.
    The first parameter of the stored procedure is serialDate and the second input parameter is serialNo.
    I am getting an exception:-
    <SAP:AdditionalText>com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: Error processing request in sax parser: Error when executing statement for table/stored proc. 'storedProcedureName' (structure 'STATEMENT'): java.lang.NumberFormatException: For input string: "TO_DATE('07"</SAP:AdditionalText>
    Any ideas how to fix this issue.
    Thanks.
    Krishnan

    Hi Krishnan,
    <STATEMENT>
    <storedProcedureName action="EXECUTE">
    <table>realStoredProcedureName</table>
    <serialDate hasQuot="NO" isInputType="true" type="date">TO_DATE('07-15-2008 08:00:11','MM-DD-YYYY HH24:MI:SS')</serialDate>
    <serialNo isInputType="true" type="NUMERIC">123456</serialNo>
    </storedProcedureName>
    </STATEMENT>
    In the XML structure you cannot use TO_DATE function . Please pass the DATE in the correct format which the Stored procedure can accept .  Get the out put what you expected from TO_DATE function and use that value in the structure.

  • JDBC Reaciver

    Hi Guys,
    I have a problem when i am  passing a message from Idoc to Oracle  useig JDBC Reaciver i had problem in Runtime..
    Below message  is my Error message..

        Page 1 / 2
    Thanks in advance
    Thanks
    Hari

    Hi Hari,
    I was the same <u>stupid</u> error, because I read the doc too quickly...
    Go to your Data Type and look at the line "action":
    > DO NOT use "insert Element" but "<b>Insert Attribute</b>", because <u>action is an attribute</u> of TableName.
    Example: If action has category "Element", then you have
    <TableName>
    <action>INSERT</action>
    </TableName>
    and it's wrong... That's why you have "<i>Error No "action" attribute</i> "
    But if you use category "Attribute", then you will have:
    <TableName <b>action</b>="INSERT">
    </TableName>.
    And this is exactly what the JDBC adapter want!

  • Issue with processing time of JDBC receiver adapter

    Hi all,
    We are using PI 7.1 EHP1.
    We have an issue with JDBC receiver adapter taking too much time to process messages.
    We are using XML SQL format message protocol with INSERT_UPDATE as the document format.
    Each message can contain multiple records, i.e. 1 single message can result in many updates/inserts.
    Currently, time taken to process in 6-12 secs which is quite high considering the messages are not very large in size.
    We sent the statements to Oracle DBA to see if anything about the queries being used is causing issues. Awaiting inputs.
    In the mean time, wanted to check if there is anything that can be done from PI side that will help us improving the processing time.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Sailaja.

    Hi,
           i think the main cause is  query taking long time to execute in DataBase.
          -> increase the read time and response time in the JDBC receiver adapter.
      In the advanced mode table section of sender channel and receiver channel configurations, we can set driver properties for each DB connection. Any such property would have to contain prefix 'driver:'(with out quotes).
    For Oracle Database JDBC thin driver 10.2.0.3 version, the property oracle.jdbc.ReadTimeout helps to set read timeout while reading from the socket. Also for setting login time out in Oracle, we use oracle.net.CONNECT_TIMEOUT. To set these two properties use as follows: driver:oracle.jdbc.ReadTimeout 1000 driver:oracle.net.CONNECT_TIMEOUT 1000 The TimeOut Driver properties like ReadTimeout and CONNECT_TIMEOUT are in milliseconds.
    Refer note 1078420 for more details
    please go through this blog i hope it will help you.

  • Unicode issue jdbc receiver adapter

    Hi guys,
    I'm facing an unicode issue while trying to put some data into a MS database.
    The sender system is a SAP ERP 6.0 system.
    When we are trying to transfer some text in polish or korean or something else, this textes are not transferred correctly.
    I already checked the SAP Note 831162 FAQ: XI 3.0 / PI 7.0 / PI 7.1 JDBC Adapter
    and used the url parameter sendStringParametersAsUnicode=true
    Furthermore I changed my mapping to get the sql statements, so that I add the attribute hasQuot="no"
    and a leading N in front of the data string as described in the Note and in some threads in SDN
    Unicode problem in JDBC receiver adapter
    JDBC adapter , problem in inserting Korean Charaters in MS SQL
    but nothing solved my problem.
    any ideas?
    Do all the languages have to be installed on the XI system?
    Kind regards
    Jochen

    Hi Sarvesh,
    thanks for helping.
    Unfortunately I´m not sure what I should exactly do.
    If I get you wright I have to test the mapping using the test functionality in message mapping (test tab).
    I did this already
    The result message looks like this

    </ns0:IDOC_CDB_IMPORT_insert>
    How to proceed?
    copy this message to notepad or ultra edit and then doing what?
    please specify clearly.
    this message will be send to the jbdc adapter and this will insert it to database.
    <ns0:ATBEZ hasQuot="no">N&apos;D?ugo?? ca?kowita Tl; L:&apos;</ns0:ATBEZ>
    will end up in a table entry like D?ugo?? ca?kowita Tl; L:
    has anybody an idea how I will get the wright characters in database, when I test my UDF in eclipse, the variable during debugging has the correct text.
    When output this variable via system.ou.print(text); the same issue occurs, the special characters are shown as ?.
    I appreciate for your help, unfortunately my polish colleagues hustle a little bit.

    Re: Populating DropdownByKey by accessing backend
    As far as i know and have configured and used Stored procedures with the JDBC adapter, it can be used with Oracle stored procedures (leave it to the experts to comment on the Oracle functions part). So if you change it to stored procedure then it should work fine.
    You may then define your Message structure as follows:

  • How to pass dynamic values to JDBC Database adapter in PureSQL operation?

    I want to fetch the records from the table via JDBC database adapter with the criteria but I should not hardcode the values inside my query. I am using Execute by PureSQL operation. Values might change in future and it is the reason I should not hardcode the values and instead I should pass it dynamically.
    This is my query:
    SELECT FROM Table0 t0, Table1 t1 WHERE t0.Field1= 'ABC' AND t0.Field2= 'DEF' AND t0.Field3 = 'CBA' AND t1.FLAG IS NULL AND t1.Field1 = t0.Field4*
    The values 'ABC', 'DEF', 'CBA', 'NULL' are not fixed and it can be changed. Hence, I need to pass the values for these fields dynamically. What must be passed in the query and where to pass the User Defined Values during the run time.
    Please can anyone suggest how to resolve this. I am using SOA 11g.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    Ensure that you use the Adapter Configuration Wizard to do the query modification suggested by Arik. This will allow the schema for the DB Adapter getting created automatically. Also revisit this schema to assure that the data types of the bind parameters (parameters with #) have been correctly populated in the schema.
    You can get some help from this too although this doesn't fully match your use-case.
