Regarding message error in bap webdynpro

hai friends
i am new to abap webdynpro
i have doubt that , i palced the table ui element in the view
if that table is not initial
i have to give error message,
is it same way as normal abap
in the view the ui element id name of table is TABLE1
can write this way
if table1 is not initial
then i will call the message method over here through wdcode wizarad

Check the example WDR_TEST_MSG_AREA .
1. Validate your data in seperate funtion module and update the message Id and number in internal table.
2. Use wizard to declate variable for massage area. It will create data declaration for messages of interface type IF_WD_MESSAGE_MANAGER. In this interface there is a method 'REPORT_T100_MESSAGE'. Pass your message ID and number in your internal table to this method parameter.

I ve a similar kind of issue at my end. I am trying to call BAPI_DOCUMENT_CREATE2 from a Webdynpro application(A2C/000) and using commit work. A new doc_number is very much created, even commit work returns no error.
But surprisingly i dont see this new record in the same destination (A2C/000).
this BAPI is already remote enabled (SE37)

Error in Bapi : Change Purchase Requisition

Dear All,
We have requirement where we need to update the Purchase Requisition Quanity.
For this purpose, I am using Bapi '/AFS/CHANGE_AFS_PR_DATA'.
In this I want to change Sheduled Qty. (AFS Grid Qty.), but I m getting error like
"Line item 0010 : different quantities in item and schedule line". (Sy-subrc = 3)
Can any one help me out with this.

In the exit, use a condition like:
IF sy-tcode EQ 'VL01N'.
MESSAGE E000(...)
ENDIF.
This will avoid the error in BAPI execution.

BI Installer issue with message" Error: ABAP Backend doesn't exist in SLD

Please help me to solve this issue, during the BI Installer the process get errors message
"Error: ABAP Backend doesn't exist in SLD"
Follwoing the oss Note 983156 - BI configuration w. Template Installer
1.Logon to the SLD: http://<host>:<port>/sld. (Your configured SLD (central or local SLD))
Please check in Home -> Technical Systems -> select type ABAP. This
should have configuration of your ABAP (BI) system. yes the system already there.
2, goto http://host:port/index.html ->Web Dynpro ->Content Administrator-> Check SLD Connection
the connection is running well.

I found your question because I wanted the answer to it too. I'm trying to connect my Java-only stack portal to my ABAP-only stack BI system using the template in NWA. I get through all the steps up to the creation of the WebDynpro JCO RFC destinations then it fails saying "ABAP Backend doesn't exist in the SLD".
I've checked the SLD and the ABAP backend most definitely DOES exist in the SLD and the SLD is being updated by both the ABAP backend and the Java portal systems thus proving a valid connection exists between the SLD and both systems I'm trying to connect.
I think I've solved it however.
I always define a TCP alias equal to the SID for any SAP system I build and I try to make all connections to <sid>.<fully.qualified.domain.name>. This separates, to a degree, the physical server from the SAP instance.
I used this alias in the BI installation template but I noticed that the ABAP backend was listed as <SID> <hostname> in the SLD (not <SID> <sid alias>). When I used the real hostname in the template it ran to completion.
The other change I made, and it's possible that this was the real reason instead of the alias/hostname issue, was that I restarted the BI system before retrying. I only did this because I was getting error messages saying there were too many active CPIC conversations and I couldn't find them to kill them off.
Hope one or other of these things might help.

Hello Daniela,
you try to perform an offline backup (which is a very uncommon way nowadays) and your SAP system is not down.
This is also described in the official documentation:

offline: Database backup in offline mode, in other words, the database is shut down during backup. When you select this parameter, BRBACKUP checks that no SAP system users are connected to the database. If an SAP System is active, the database is not shut down and BRBACKUP terminates the process with an error message (message number BR0068E).

Need suggestion on implementing JMS message error recovery

Our application has a JMS topic where we publish application events. Now, there can be scenarios where the consumers cannot process the message due to some infrastructure issues and would error out. We need a way so that those messages can be reprocessed again later. we are thinking of the following design for JMS message error recovery
1. Use a persistent TOPIC (this would ensure guaranteed delivery)
2. Configure a error destination on JMS topic e.g a jms queue
3. Have an error handling MDB listening to the Error destination. An error handling MDB would dequeue the errored messages from error destination and persist it to a Data base "error" table..
4. Provide a mechanism to republish those messages to topic (e.g a scheduler or admin ui or a command line utility) .. The messages would deleted from database "error" table and published to topic again....
A. Are there any issues with the above design which we need to handle?
B. Are there any additional steps required in a Cluster environment with a distributed topic and distribute error destination? (our error mdb will have one-copy-per-application setting)
B. From a performance angle, Is it OK to use persistent TOPIC ? Or will it better to persist the message to the db table and then publish it as a non persistent message ... ? (But i guess the performance should be more or less the same in both of these approaches)
C. Are there any other recommended design patterns for error recovery of JMS messages

We may not be able to go with the approach of delaying/pausing redelivery of the messsage because
1. Pausing entire MDB approach: Our MDB application consumes messages generated by different producers and our MDB needs to continue processing the messages even if messages corresponding to one producer is erroring out
2. Redelivery delay : This would only delay the retry of an errored message. But there would still be a problem if the message fails during all retries (i.e redelivery limit count). We don't want to lose this message. In our case, It is possible that a particular message cannot be processed due to unavailability of a third party system for hours or may be a day.
Basically, i am looking on approaches for a robust and performant error recovery/retry framework for our application (refer details in my first post on this thread) while fully making use of all features provided by middleware (WLS). Please advise.

When trying to work with Agilent 34401A multimeter (serial RS-232 connection), HP34401A Getting Started.vi gives always the message: "Error 1073807369 occurred at Old VISA Open ".

Baud rate and parity are set correctly, RS-232 cable is also connected correctly. My QuickBasic program has no problems to read and write to the Multimeter. It is obviously a software problem: the same error is persistent if I disconnect RS-232 cable.
I downloaded NI-VISA 2.6 for Windows 95/98/NT/ME/2000/XP frorm digital.ni.com and installed it. But it did not help.

Message "Error in connection:No result set, result attempts = 100" on VC

I am using a JDBC datasource to retrieve, update, insert and delete information from a SQL Server database using executing store procedures from VC.
The selection of the data is perfect but for the deletion, insert or update of any data using store procedures I always get the following message:
"Error in connection:No result set, result attempts = 100"
At the end the information is modified in the database but I get error.
Here is an example of one of my store procedure:
CREATE PROCEDURE [dbo].[DelData]
     @id uniqueidentifier

BEGIN

Hi,
when you SELECT data, you get a result. So your connection gets a result set. When you DELETE, INSERT,... you have no result, because you didn't select data. So your connection can't get any result sets.

I am currently facing some issues with respect to the deliver creation.
The scenario is somthing like this.
I have assigned a FOC Item category to an Consignment Issue order type.
The system is able to determine the Item category successfully.
However when the delivery is created it throws an error message
'Error while determining ref.mov.type for WM via Table 156S: 903/X/X/W/L/X/'
Not sure why this occurs.
All the settings seem to be set.
If any one of you can help me out it would be great.

The standard process is that consignment issue order should be created with reference to Proforma invoice. Having said that I dont understand why you have assigned a FOC item category to issue order. Not sure, whether this will work. Also I feel that you should explain in detail the process for which you are configuring this.
