Regarding multiple KJS in  iAS 6.0 application server

hi,
Why we have multiple kjs log option in iAS 6.0. How this impacts the server performance or any other issues related to it.
How we can merge multiple KJS to single (any configuration needs to be done).
thanks in advance
mohan.

Hi Karmesh,
As a role of thumb, Oracle does not support any extended shared memory segments on IBM AIX. Please take a look OSS notes #105429, 123366.
Additionally, I would like to suggest that you use dynamic SGA that has been mentioned in OSS note #105429.
What kind of memory, you are talking about, in your last question? Oracle memory tuning or SAP memory tuning?

  • How to store multiple files from SAp in to Application server?

    Hi Guys,
Can anybody tell me how to store multiple files from SAP into Application server.in my application i have to get the data from SAP tables BSEG , BKPF , BSAK and BSIK that to daily i have to do.
Any Logic  or Code for how to do is welcomed.
                        plz help me urgently.
    Thanks,
    Gopi

    Hi,
directories creates basis. If you have task to store data in application server you already should have information into which folder you have to do it. If you don't have this information because it is just for example training for next task then you can use your personal folder into which you have access. To get list of all available folders please look at attached code and form get_directories (you get the list of folders you see in transaction AL11). But don't forget: If you are using open dataset you have to have rights to access application folder!
Here you are code which I use to upload text files from local disc into application folder

  • Report Path in Application Server

Can we have multiple paths for .rfd files in Application server 9ias? Actually we have two separate applications. We wanted to keep .rdf files in separate folders on app server. Is there a way when we run one application, it should check rdf files from one folder and for second application, check from second folder.
    Thanks

    Hi,
This is possible in Reports9i patch 1 onwards. You can use a feature called Dynamic Environment Switching. You can define 2 environments in the Reports Server Config file (each with a different REPORTS_PATH). At runtime, you have to specify the ID that identifies your environment. Pl see Patch 1 (or later) release notes:

  • Moving files in application server

    Hello Everyone,
Is it possible to move all files from one directory to another directory in application server?
    My requirement is like this:
I want to move all files present in one directory (Let's say A) to another directory (Let's say B) in application server.
I pick one by one each file from directory A, process it by ABAP program and then wants to move the same file into directory B.
When all the files moved to directory B, directory A should be empty with no files.
Kindly let me know if anyone comes across this scenario.
    Waiting reply in anticipation.

  • SEFAUtil and Trusted Application Server

    Morning,
I'm trying to determine if it is acceptable / best practice to install Group Call Pickup functionality on a FE server; ie the trusted application server. I have read numerous blogs that say it is not good practice to install the trusted application server
for group call pickup on one of your Front Ends, but can find no reference to this anywhere from Microsoft.
    I have searched through the entire CHM file for Lync 2013 and can only take away the below references regarding supportability;
"You can collocate a trusted application server with the Front End Server."
This says to me its ok, and there's nothing anywhere else in the documentation to suggest otherwise.
So regarding Group Call Pickup and the installation of a Trusted Application Server, can anyone advise on why I shouldn't install this on an FE?
    Ta.

Thanks Thamara, I'm just struggling to see why (in a 300 user deployment for example) on a standard edition FE I can't drop the trusted application on that same server, and instead need to provision another server 'just' for group call pickup.
Why wouldn't I be able to ask MSFT to troubleshoot any issue for me? It states below that it is supported for collocation in an Enterprise deployment
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg398102.aspx
    and again for standard edition collocation;
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg398131.aspx
If someone was to ask me for a technical reason why I shouldn't do this, I can't give them one - that's my problem. If there was an element of risk, wouldn't MSFT state so much like they do with collocation of Backend databases with other databases - ie
    supported but not recommended?

    Hi
Hint is : A row with the same key already exists it means , It is assigning the same value/Key to row and you are calling it at WDDOINIT  so it giving error at the time of initialization .
Better way to do the coding at some event in view OR if not possible than just execute the first value help in wddoinit later clear all the value before gettig the other Value help. Code it at WdDoModify View to get its run time behaviour.

  • Syncing Forms Across Multiple Application Server Servers?

    Hi Guys,
I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. We recently brought up multiple servers running Application Server 10.1.2.3 for High Availability of our forms and reports. My question is, is there a way to keep the forms files synced? With IIS for example, I have written a batch file that will go check for modifications on a source server and then sync any destination servers that are out of sync. However with Application Server, you cannot simply copy files over because if they are in use they are locked.
Would anyone happen to know of any kind of solution for keeping multiple Application Servers synced?

What we do is use a Load balancer with Multiple App severs. To keep the forms correct we take one out at a time off peak and update and do this round robin until they match.

  • In Oracle 9 Application Server can we create multiple instances???

Hi I need one help this is regarding to the oracle 9 application server in this can we create the multiple instances??
my application was already developed and currently it is working with one instance for this i need to create the another one more instance which is same as existing and my application is web application developed in Forms6i and the db is oracle 9i my requirement is to create one more instance what are all the configuration files need to be modified and please give this info ASAP....

It is still not very clear. What do you mean by creating "one more instance of the same application in the same application server"? By "application" do you mean another instance of OC4J in same Application Server Instance? If yes, you can do that. I mean you can create another OC4J component in same Application Server Instance without doing another installation. Refer this for details:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/A97329_03/core.902/a92171/config.htm#1010793
If you are looking to create another Application Server Instance out of same installation/binaries (i.e. Oracle Home) than the answer is no. You can not create multiple Application Server Instances out of one Oracle Home. You will have to do another installation in a different Oracle Home and that's how you will get another Application Server Instance.
    Hope this helps.
