Regarding NUMC comparison

hi gurus,
We have problem in comparison of NUMC field in ABAP code. could you please see the below sample.
46C system,
In table DD04L, for data element "Viewname" have SPACE value for ROUTPUTLEN field.
ECC system,
In table DD04L, for data element "Viewname" have 000000 value for ROUTPUTLEN field.
so when we fetch values using Select stmt from DD04L table and compare both values for field ROUTPUTLEN its giving different.
Please let us know how to solve this prob

  • Regarding screen comparison

    hey guys,
    Is it possible to compare two Screens from 46C to ECC and find the differences.
    for example, Screen layout and Field label texts changes between two systems.
    With respect to screen level.
    pls suggest me if any function module exists. Can somebody shed light on this
    regards
    ambichan.

    Hi,
    Try this..
    If you have RFC connection to ECC..
    Then in SE51..utilities -> version management..Do remote comparison to the ECC system.
    OR
    Download both the screen layout..and then compare them in an external editor.
    Thanks

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Whenever you have a problem, post some sampel data (CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements) and the results you want from that data. Explain how you get those results from that data.
    As long as I don't know where you're starting from (sample data) or where you want to go (results) it's hard for me to give you good diorections.
    I suspect you want to be using TRUNC rather than EXTRACT, if not a plain DATE comparison.
    For example, if you have a string p_cutoff_date (such as '01-Jan-2010', but not necessaily the 1st of the month) and you want to see if l.bill_date is earlier than the beginning of the month that contains p_cutoff_date, then:
    WHERE   l.bill_date < TRUNC ( TO_DATE ( p_cutoff_date
                                          , 'dd-Mon-yyyy'
                       , 'MONTH'
                       )As you said in the subject line, you're trying to compare DATEs. So compare DATEs: don't convert them to NUMBERS (using EXTRACT) and then to strings (using ||); keep the DATEs as DATEs.

  • KE24 Report comparison with FI GL account balance report

    Hi Friends,
    I'm comparing KE24 transaction code COPA actual line item balance with FI GL account balance report, but I'm not able to match it/not sure how to match it.
    Could you please let me know how to compare these two reports mainly to know whether all the balances in FI are moving to COPA properly. Also please let me know how the values are being extracted for this KE24 transaction code.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Dwarak

    This comparison can only be done with a thorough knowledge of the config that was made to transfer information into the COPA system. It is COMPLETELY implementation specific. It generally is grouped into several areas - Revenue, Cost of goods sold @standard, cost of goods sold period based adjustments (E.g. variances) and overheads.
    Here is some VERY broad guidelines:
    Revenue method will depend on whether you are using "vanilla" sales of inventory from SD, or whether you use resource related billing in PS. Further you will need to know which condition types post to which GL Accounts, and to which value fields.
    Cogs method will depend on the sames differences, also whether you are using material master price (VPRS), or whether you are using standard cost estimate. If you are using standard cost estimate, you need to know the cost components used, and which value fields they post to.You also need to know which GL account(s) is posted to. This is based on the valuation class in table 30. Alternatively, for resource related billing you have to know how the DIP profile was set up.
    You need to know how your production variances are posted, your purchase price variances and your overhead variances on production cost centres.
    Overheads can be posted directly from FI, from MM, or settled from an internal order or project. Alternatively, they are assessed from cost centres, to PA using assessment rules.
    You also need to know whether there are any statistical value fields, which should be excluded from the reconciliation.

  • Lack of range with Storm2

    I have purchased a Storm 2 in the UK and have been pleased with the genarl functions and look however...the range of the device is significanlty less than the several Pearls I have used over 4/5 years. This is evident at home but particularly in the car. Following advice from the seller and from BB I have tried many ways of using the phone but with no increase in sensitivity. I drive a well defined route to/from work and so the number of drop outs and their duration is easy to calibrate against other phones and other BBs. BB insist that the phone works the same as other Storm 2s but won't make any comment regarding the comparison with the Pearl. This leaves me very disappointed and I wonder if there is any advice ourt there regarding either the range issue or how to approach BB.
    John Hughes

    Ok, but I don't accept that, lol, which is why I was encouraging you to check this out.
    ALSO -- I've seen this all too often -- Did you move the SIM card from the Pearl to the Storm2?
    Go by your store and get a simple SIM swap for a new in the Storm2, and now try it. Many times I've seen a different SIM make a difference. Remember, the Storm is 3G and the Pearl 8100 is not, and newer SIMs work better on the new devices.

  • Sharpening - DPP vs ACR

    I just started this thread over on fredmiranda.com regarding a comparison I have done of sharpening in Canon's Digital Photo Professional and Adobe's Capture Raw. I thought some of you, particularly Canonites, might find it helpful. I would also appreciate any comments or corrections from the experts out there. Here is the link (by the way, I have no monetary interest in Fred's site - I just usually hang out there and I'm too lazy to copy/paste everything over here):
    http://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/595717
    In addition to the thread, I would also just like to say that I appreciate the efforts of Thomas Knoll and his team as well as to whatever influence Jeff Schewe and the Pixel Genius guys have had. ACR continues to show important improvements and it can't be an easy job keeping up with the advances in digital photography.
    With every complement has to come a request :) so I will also throw in some future feature requests that occurred to me while writing up the post above:
    - Please enable sharpen-enabled views at less than 100% (and make them carry over to the high-quality preview in Bridge, too. I know that those views, as in PS, are not perfect but they are helpful in giving you a hint of overall sharpness. I think it would also make it a little easier to use the Alt-Masking function, too.
    - I think it may be time to consider a radius of less than 0.5. Bruce Fraser recommended 0.4 for cameras over 11 mega-pixels and new cameras like the Canon 1ds3 are way over that.
    - This may create more complexity than it's worth but you might consider adding a "highlight/shadow protection" slider that would optionally remove the halo dampening. It would violate 3-pass sharpening doctrine but it would probably make some DPP-sharpening aficionados happy.
    Anyway, thanks again.
    Dennis

    > I have no particular interest in posting to a thread elsewhere...
    No problem. I didn't expect anybody here to have to go to the other thread to post a response. Here is fine.
    > I suggest reading ABOUT CAMERA RAW 4.1
    Actually, I read your article right after you published it but I hadn't checked it recently. Regarding gaps in my ACR sharpening knowledge, I admitted to some of those in the post - particularly exactly HOW ACR does some of the things it does and also the behavior of the Detail slider. I notice that at the time you wrote the article you linked, you admitted not understanding all of the internals of it either :). I find the "halo dampening" of the Detail Slider to really be secondary to the way it emphasizes or de-emphasizes soft edges and fine detail. It also appears to me that ACR is always doing some level of "blend-if"-like protection of highlights and shadows, regardless of how the detail slider is set. I plan on picking up your book while I am back in the States over Christmas so maybe I will find some additional info there.
    > Why, enabling sharpening previews for under 100% will be inaccurate. Why would you want inaccurate?
    I am sure my reasons won't be convincing for you but here they are:
    * So I have a constant visible reminder that I have sharpening engaged (instead of waiting until I have it imported into PS)
    * So ACR's behavior is consistent with PS, which does provide the sharpening views at less than 100%
    * So I have an inaccurate but better than nothing way of judging overall sharpness of the image. In my mind, I would equate it to something like Soft Proofing. I wouldn't call Soft Proofing "accurate" either but I can understand how some people, with a little effort and practice, can take it to the point where if they see "Y" in soft proofing, they are fairly confident that they will get something close to "X" in the final print. It may be innacurate but maybe it can be innaccurate in a sufficiently consistent way that it is still useful.
    > Testing showed it wasn't needed...so if you want it, you'll have to show why it's needed.
    I'll take your word for it. It just seemed that based on Mr. Fraser's observations that more mega-pixels = smaller radius that 0.5 might start being a little large and might limit detail extraction for cameras like the 5D, 1ds3, etc.. There is a lot of debate right now around the strength of the AA filter on the 1Ds3 and that is what got me thinking about it.
    > Again, why? You can already ruin images easily enough . . .
    Yep. I basically agree with you. That is why I had the lukewarm qualifier there. Mainly I was thinking that it could provide "training wheels" for people coming from DPP. It also might help reduce the jaggies on straight line diagonals that I thought might be at least partly due to the dampening of sharpening in the highlights and shadows (like Mr. Fraser's blend-if technique). Not really compelling reasons to add additional complexity but that was what was going through my mind.
    Anyway, thanks for responding Jeff.

  • EDI1 Condition Type - Not picking up Net Value - Document Incomplete

    Hi EDI Gurus,
    I have a quick question.
    I am processing an EDI Sales Order through Inbound Orders IDoc.
    When an IDoc is triggered, the EDI1 pricing condition is getting the customer expected proce from E1EDP01-VPREI. But it says document incomplete.
    Complete Data:
    Item 000010: Net Value missing
    Why I am i getting this??  What should be done?? Where??
    I also heard that we can make the order block, if EDI1 price is different from PR00 price. How to place delivery block?
    Can you please explain.
    Thanks.
    Matt

    I figured out the problem. the price for the material was not maintained in the PR00 pricing condition.
    The EDI1 condition was OK.
    Now , i have a question regarding the comparison between, standard SAP price (PR00) and customer expected price (EDI1).
    Where do we do the comparison. If cust expected price is not acceptable how we gonna put a delivery block.
    Do i have to implement this in Inbound Orders user exit or should I implement this elsewhere??
    Who is the owner of this process EDI or SD??
    Thanks,
    Matt

  • Printer Authorization error

    Hello All,
    When one of the user in CRM Sandbox system, tries to execute a report in the backkground, he gets the error -
    "No Authorization for Printer LP01"
    When i ran SU53 in another session it showed error for object S_SPO_DEV, authorization field SPODEVICE - LP01
    User comparison was done for the roles assigned to the user.
    But this did not help.
    I checked in SU01, Printer defaults are maintained for the user. [default printer as LP01]
    Any suggestions as to what else can be checked and how to resolve ?
    Regards
    Shubhra

    User comparison was done for the roles assigned to the user.
    But this did not help.
    That would not help if the value does not exist in the authorization object. You need to add LP01 to S_SPO_DEV in on an appropiete role assigned to the user.

  • What are the SIMILARITIES between iPhones and Android phones?

    I'm writing a compare and contrast essay on iPhone and Android products, but I'm having some trouble finding the similarities. I've Google-ed the crap out of this subject, and Google (for whatever reason) thinks the word "similarity" means "difference." I found about 2 small articles that slightly hint at some similarities, but nothing that allows me to draw a conclusion and write the other half of my essay. Can someone please help?

  • Reconcil FI and CO

    Hi all,
    How to Reconcilation the FI profit and CO Profit?
    is there any specific T.code for this?
    Thanks in advance.
    Soma

    The CO & FI can be often OFF due several obvious reasons. For e.g. you initially post an expense in FI & Cost center(X) in CO,after that you transferred the expense from Cost center (X) to Cost center(Y), then this doesn't effect FI since it's an activity within CO only. This results in FI & CO mismatch, where in FI the cost center is still (X),whereas in CO it's (Y).
    Now, to have FI & CO in sink, you should activate the FI/CO Reconciliation ledger & at every month end close you should execute the reconciliation posting (Transaction code KALC).
    Once, you maintain this reconciliation, your FI & CO will always be in sink.
    Regarding the comparison of profit from FI & CO , you could compare the standard reports for FI profit & CO profit.
    Hope this helps.

  • WMIC Diskdrive Get Signature - question

    Hi
    I'm running Win 7x64 Home Premium.  I have a question about the WMIC return information when using
    diskdrive get signature query.
    Drive 0 is my "C" HDD (MBR OS drive and most of my data), a Seagate 1Tb SATA spinner drive.
    Drive 1 is a 500Gb MBR Seagate SATA spinner storage drive
    Drive 2 is a Seagate portable USB drive.
    Here's my WMIC results:
    C:\>wmic diskdrive get name, signature
    Name                Signature
    \\.\PHYSICALDRIVE0  879977925
    \\.\PHYSICALDRIVE1  -9588321
    \\.\PHYSICALDRIVE2  2087182144
    The question I have is regarding the comparison between the signature value that's returned in the WMIC diskdrive inquiry and the four-byte identifier disk signature that's located in the Master Boot Code at offset 0x1B8.
    When I convert the WMIC value to hex, it doesn't appear that it would be the same value as the signature that's located in the Master Boot Code.
    Is the WMIC diskdrive signature referring to a separate identifier on the hard drive, vs the one that's in the Master Boot Code?
    The reason I'm curious about is I was looking for an easier way to access the MBC disk signature with the WMIC diskdrive inquiry vs accessing the Registry Hive under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\BCD00000 , where the MBC disk signature is located.

    Hello Selmur,
    Do you mean that you want to know what result of WMIC diskdrive signature refer to?
    I have run the command wmic diskdrive get name, signature and
    diskpart then Uniqueid disk.
    They have the similar result. One is in decimal, another is in hex.
    Here is the articles about the wmic and uniqueid.
    wmic
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa394132(v=vs.85).aspx
    uniqueid
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc730793.aspx
    signature: Disk identification. This property can be used to identify a shared resource.
    uniqueid: Displays or sets the GUID partition table (GPT) identifier or master boot record (MBR) signature of a disk.

    When I got windows 8 i started deleted apps all willie nillie. This may have caused a problem with getting to group policy editor.
    But as of right now its either missing, does not exit, or im just dumb.
    I have used the windows button + R and typed in gpedit.msc to run it and windows says "not found"
    please help.

    Hi,
    I agree with Alex, first of all, you should verify that which Windows 8 version you are using. If it is only Windows 8, we can’t see cannot see gpedit.msc, since there is no Group Policy feature
    enabled in the edition. Regarding the current issue, I suggest we could refer to the following article.
    Windows 8 Gpedit.msc - Group Policy Editor

    Regarding the comparison of the Windows 8 edition, we could refer to the article below.

    Regards,
    FriendAt times, it not about Performance. Its about Right/Wrong.
    CHAR(1) will not ensure, both will carry same data. CHAR(1) when fed with a NULL String (''), will still contain data with a Single SPACE, whereas VARCHAR2 will not. So, they are different datatypes.
    And, you may always find some Idiotic character (person) who will consider NULL String ('') to be a NULL, and my ruin the database architecture. Hence, CHAR datatype is generally recommended, when you need to have data of same width, say in Reporting tools (an example).
    See the below demonstration:
    set serveroutput on;
    declare
    v_char        char(1) := '';
    v_var         varchar2(1) := '';
    begin
      dbms_output.put_line('Char :: ' || replace(v_char, ' ', '~'));
      dbms_output.put_line('Varchar :: ' || replace(v_var, ' ', '~'));
      if v_char = v_var then
        dbms_output.put_line('match');
      else
        dbms_output.put_line('not match');
      end if;
    end;
    anonymous block completed
    Char :: ~
    Varchar ::
    not matchConclusion, IMO:- Better or not, is to be decided upon by the usage of datatypes in a situation. Since, CHAR and VARCHAR2 are both different, I would not regard the comparison to be Fair.
