Hi Sanjay,
Firstly are you using Send mail Activity or are u calling Fm SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1.
Well  I suppose u are calling the FM, in that case just check the data that you are fetching before calling this FM. This error is related to sql query so check your select statements used before sending mail.
Hope this helps.

  • Runtime Error in execution of 'SO_OBJECT_SEND' function module

    Hi friends,
We are going for upgradation from 4.6c to ECC6.0. There is one program which is used to send external mails thru 'SO_OBJECT_SEND', but the function module is giving runtime error(line no:515) in ECC6.
    what could be the reason?
    rewarded,
    Steve

    Hi,
Plz check if any latest release notes of SAP for the function module 'SO_OBJECT_SEND' are available. If so you may apply those.
If you have valid SAP service username and password you can get the notes from service.sap.com. Else your BASIS people can help you.
Which is the highest patch level you have applied?

  • Error in sending OUTLOOK mail step

    Hi ,
Here is the design of sending the mail.
From the OUTLOOK MAIL TO INITIATOR step i m getting the required mail id to whom mail should be sent from SAP system regarding the errors.
then on moving to the send mail step i m encountering the error ,below is the data elements i maintained in the send mail step.
But when a workflow is triggered i m getting the below error-->

    Hi Ranjith
In your email step, the Type ID should be U - Email Address and not G - Org Object
Specify the recipient type as Email and then select the container element which contains the email ID.
Type ID G - is for org objects and to send directly to email IDs ... you need to use type U

    Hi All,
I am loading a COPA cube from a DSO.
There are about 15million records to be loaded. every time i try loading the data, 1 or 2 Data packages gets stuck and finally it leads to a runtime error DBIF_RSQL_SQL_ERROR with exception CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB.

    Short text
SQL error in the database when accessing a table.
    What happened?
The database system detected a deadlock and avoided it by rolling back
         your transaction.
    What can you do?
If possible (and necessary), repeat the last database transaction in the
hope that locking the object will not result in another deadlock.
Note which actions and input led to the error.
For further help in handling the problem, contact your SAP administrator
You can use the ABAP dump analysis transaction ST22 to view and manage
termination messages, in particular for long term reference.
    Error analysis
An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB', was not caught
in  procedure "WRITE_ICFACT" "(FORM)", nor was it propagated by a RAISING clause.
Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the
exception would occur, the current program is terminated.
The reason for the exception is:
The database system recognized that your last operation on the database
would have led to a deadlock.
Therefore, your transaction was rolled back
         to avoid this.
ORACLE always terminates any transaction that would result in deadlock.
The other transactions involved in this potential deadlock
are not affected by the termination.

    Hi ,
This is a table space issue....
u will be getting a Dump...as DBIF_RSQL_SQL_ERROR check in ST22. in this DUMP if u scroll down u will find the table for which this is failing. Actually this is like some of the table related to the DSO is not having sufficient space to cary out the transaction. hence it is failing.
U can also see in DB02--> Deadlock....u will see that there is a deadlock for this table. So find the table from ST22 and ask ur basis team to increase the space for this table....
This can be solved only by increasing the space of the table...no other solution....ask help from ur basis team.
    Thanks

  • SEND MAIL STEP IN WORKFLOWS.

    hi gurus,
The send mail step sends a notification to the sap inbox of the user. This step works fine in a client, whereas it fails in another......I am not aware of the reason.
    Regards,
    Sukumar.

    hi,
please check the agent finding rule is failed in the log or the background job is scheduled properly inorder to schedule or delver the mails using the transaction : swnconfig if it EP 5.0 or above.
if it is issue with the workflow like buffer problem, then try this technique
You have changed your workflow template in client 000. If you look to the workflow definition in another client with SWDD, then you see the newest version as just maintained in client 000. But at runtime, the old (former) version of the workflow definition is used.
    Cause:
When activating a workflow template, then also some client specific data is replicated from client 000 to the other clients. In this replication there is currently an error. I just talked to a workflow colleague. The problem we have observed seems to be just the tip of an iceberg ... . They are working on the issue(s) related to this.
    Workaround:
Execute  function module SWD_WFD_REPLICATE_FROM_9999 in the client, you need to have the newest template definition. Enter your workflow template ID (with pattern "WSxxxxxxxx") in parameter IM_TASK and execute. Make sure that you do not lock the template in SWDD.
Then you also (may) need to execute transaction SWU_OBUF to synchronize the buffer
i hope this answers your query.

    Saujanya

  • Attachment to Mail step in workflow

    Hi All
I have to create a attachment to the standard mail step , for that i have created a object of type SOFM and sent it back to the workflow conatiner ATTACHOBJECTS  and later this element is binded to ATTACHOBJECTS of the mail step conatiner element but it is not getting attached.
after refferring some threads I have come to know that we need to pass it to the multiline element _ATTACHMENTS of the mail step.
So i have done the binding between ATTACHOBJECTS ---> ATTACHMENTS of the mail step then it is going to error state
and the error is "DOCUEMNT <FOL33XXXXXXXEXTXXXX73> COULD NOT BE SENT"
    Thanks & Regards
    Pavan

    Hi Rick,
I've checked all the settings and everything is fine.
The problem is with sending attachment. When we are sending mail without attachment, it is working fine.
Also attachment is getting generated perfectly.I can see the attchment at work item of mail send through SWI1.
One more point I want to add that attachment is in pdf format.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Mail step in workflow is in infinite loop.

    Dear All,
I have created a workflow with deadline monitoring feature. In the workflow created,I have defined a mail step in a loop with loop condition priority = 8 and three minute for deadline. When the workflow gets triggered , the mail step is in infinite loop and as a result the recipient is receiving the mail every three minutes once.
Now I want to stop the workflow from infinite loop. Please provide me the solution for which I will be grateful.
    Thanks and regards,

  • Send mail step of workflow

Is it possible to create a new task for the send mail step of the workflow instead of using the standard task TS45308726-send mail?

    Hello Binil,
I can't see why you would want to create another task. This task should be able to provide you with all you need.
Any way, it is definitely possible. All you have to do is to create a method in a class that will send the desired e-mail. Inside this method you can call any send e-mail function module (for example, SO_SEND_OBJECT or SO_OBJECT_SEND - I'm not sure of the order, but you should be able to find it). After that generate a task that calls this method (using transaction PFTC).
After that, you can insert this newly created task into your workflow template.

  • How to send mails in HTML format from the send mail step of workflow?

    Hi,
I have a requirement where I need to send mails in the html format from the send mail step of the workflows.
But what I found out that the html tags are not renderd and as such the output is in plain text.
I know that there is an alternative of using an activity step and use my own custom code from within there,But due to certain business constraints, I need to use the send mail step only.
My SCOT settings are all right.
Please let me know how it can be done.
    Thanks,
    Samrat.

    Samrat,
It can't be done, you have to use your own activity step.
What are these constraints that refrain you from doing that?
    Rgds,
    Patrick

  • ABAP runtime error in FBV2 Change parked document using workflow

    Hi,

    Screen- SAPLF040  0310
    Main Program - SAPMF05V
    Information on were terminated.
    Program SAPLF040 - in " %_CTL_END "
In the source code you have the termination point in line 50 of the (Include) program " <SYSINI> "
How can we solve this error. We are on ECC6 with release 600.
    Thanks,
    Mark

    Hi Mark,
We have this same issue in transaction F-65
I believe that when a new screen template is configured, a new screen is generated within function group F040. A later action (applying a hotpack??) has removed this screen, but the config (in table T021D) still points the processing to the screen even though it has been removed.
Did you find a solution? We want to get the screen back as it is still valid to use this screen template in the business
    Thanks
    Ben

  • Auto execution of Syndicate Step in Workflow

    Hello Experts,
Is there a way to auto execute the Syndicate step in Workflow?
    Workflow is as follows:
    Start ---> Branch ---> Process Success ---> Assignments ---> Syndicate ---> Notify ---> Stop
In this case, workflow is launched immediately, validations and assignments are successful. Control is passed back to the user and we have to manually select Next Step option by right clicking the workflow.
After Syndication, Stop is again a manual process.
Please let me know if there is a way to automate the workflow for Success branch.
    Thanks in advance.
    Vinay

    Hi Vinay,
    Start ---> Branch ---> Process Success ---> Assignments ---> Syndicate ---> Notify ---> Stop
As per your Workflow stated above:
    - The workflow will automatically trigger if the triggger action is either Record Import or Records Add.For Manual you will have to trigger the workflow manually.
    - For this you will have to set the workflow as Active and Auto Launch as Immediate.
    - Out of the above mentioned steps the Start, Branch,Assignments,Notify and Stop will not require human intervention  to move the task to the next step.
    - Once your workflow is triggered based on the validation is the branch step the records will move to the Process user else default.
    - The process user will have to complete his task and on clicking Next step it will run the Assignments automatically.
    - On reaching the syndicate step the selected records will get syndicated provided the MDSS settings are correct and the Assignments have passed else it will come back to the previous step on failing the assignments
    - The  Notify step will run automatically .You will have to only click Stop for ending the workflow.
    Hope It Helped
    Thanks & Regards
