Regarding SY-UCOMM---urgent plz

when i execute the program ZP2I_MASSCHANGE_TEMP1.
the user instead of pressing the F8 he pressess enter key. If he presses once or twice there is no problem, but if he presses enter key many times then iam getting this error
"Selection screen ZP2I_MASSCHANGE_TEMP1 1000 was
not called using CALL SELECTION-SCREEN"
MY program contains many call selection-screens. so user insted of pressing F8, he presses enter key.
is my question is clear..
plz kindly help on high priority basis.

Since you are saying that you have many CALL SELECTION-SCREEN statements in your program, it is very important for you to understand and correcty handle the various screen sequences. As a general rule, you must, at all times, understand the difference between the CALL SCREEN statement and the LEAVE TO SCREEN statement.

Hi Raj,
Is your Sender System Tibco If so Use JMS Adapter to get the Data from tibco and Use IDOC Adapter to Post in R3. For this you no need to Install any Adapter in XI System.

Status profilremanagement Urgent plz

we have a requirement in campaign the user should not set the status of a campign once it is rejected
we made settings its working fine but the problem is
after rejected status there are some more status having the value higher than rejected status when they are selecting that they are able to change the all statuses including rejected status.
plz tell me how to solve this pbm

Hi Madhuri,
Your problem can be resolved by maintaing the status numbers in the status profile:
Example of how Lowest Status Number works:
Status A has status number 30 and the 'lowest status number' 10. Status B has status number 40 and the 'lowest status number' 20.
- Once status B was active for the object, only statuses with numbers 20 or higher may be activated, even if status A is currently active.
- However, if status B has never been active, statuses with status numbers 10 or higher may be activated if status A is currently active.
Example of how Highest Status Number:
- Status A has the status number 30 and the 'highest number' 50.
- If status A is active, only statuses with status numbers 50 or less can be activated.
Therefore, while defining your status profile for the status 'Rejected', once you assign a status number for it, make user that other statuses doesn't possess the same number in both Highest Status Number and Lowest Status Number as well.
So according to your current requirement, maintain the status number accordingly to your need. This can be done while defining status profile in the following IMG path:
IMG->Customer Relationship Management->Marketing->Marketing Planning and Campaign Management->General Settings->Change Status Profile for User Status.

Hi Pallav,
Assuming that the backup device (TAPE Drive/ LTO Drive) is attached to your sap server,You can follow the steps as below..
1, Stop SAP from MMC
2, Shut down the DB server.
3, Start >program>Administrator tools -->Services..
This will open another MMC screen by listing all the Services running. From the list stop SAP services,
Oracle Services.
4, now goto >start> Program > accessories > system tools --> Backup (NTbackup) .
5, in Backup select all the drives, and select "system Information" which will be below the drives.

Hi All, In PAI of screen i have the following code, BUt when i press enter , the conttrol did not go in the following case .

Regarding SY-UCOMM from a subscreen.

Hi All,
I am calling a screen from a subscreen by using a push button.
Issue : suppose SY_UCOMM when push button is pressed is TEST.
When I press it , it takes to called sceen and in this screen SY_UCOMM changes.
But , when I return control to my subscreen, I get SY_UCOMM as TEST.
Please let me know the cause for the same.

first clear the Sy-ucomm or ok_code in PBO..
and check again..
and also check for enter do you assigned and function code or not in se41...
if you donot any function key or code for enter the old sy-ucomm will be still there.
soclear the Sy-ucomm or ok_code in PBO..
i think from sub screen you can not call the another screen..
but you can call the transaction..

SAP recommends that in dialog program always use OK_Code instead of sy-ucomm. Here is what the help says
In your ABAP programs, you should work with the OK_CODE field instead of SY-UCOMM. There are two reasons for this: Firstly, the ABAP program has full control over fields declared within it, and secondly, you should never change the value of an ABAP system field. However, you should also always initialize the OK_CODE field in an ABAP program for the following reason:

This is a long standing issue dating back many years. The general answer is that you control the OK_CODE field while SAP controls the SY-UCOMM field. You assign field OK_CODE to the OK code field in the screen painter and SAP copies SY-UCOMM to your OK_CODE field. Now you have control over the value. If you start invoking other code, like SAP utilities that display screens, you can be guaranteed that the value in OK_CODE will still be there, while you have no idea what SAP might be doing with SY-UCOMM.
This is a design decision that was probably made about 20 years ago when screen processing was introduced. In most cases, you can probably use SY-UCOMM and not have any problems but there are probably cases out there where SAP has done something tricky and you will have a problem.
Because there are unknowns out there, I always define an OK_CODE and do not use SY-UCOMM for standard screen processing. For me this is a long standing habit.
OK_Codes are like function code for each button or for any action on the screen.
When you press SAVE or when you Press some Button on the screen, your every action is recorded by using the OK_COde.
for example for ENTER button it is '/00'.
While you record BDC's using SHDB you will come to know all these OK codes.

Hi poonam,
In UI programming Sy-Ucomm is the system field which always holds the User Command(Function Code).
So in your code segment the If condition is checking whether the user has performed the action mentioned by function code '% 100'. If its true the statements inside the If will be executed , otherwise the next statement after the corresponding ENDIF will be executed.
Suppose, If Fcode '% 100' is assigned to a button which calculates percentage then the given code check whether the user has pressed that button.

No, the "-g" version just means it has the debug flag turned on when they compile it.
Your problem is CLASSPATH and how to set it properly.
Use the -classpath option on java.exe when you run. Read the javadocs on the tools to find out how.
