Regarding Test case

Hi
I am doing my file to file scenario. after completing what  are the test cases
we check in sender file adapter and receiver file adapter?
regards
venkat.

Hi,
U can check ur Message in SXI_MONITOR and to check the complete message and sender and receiver adapter details check them in RWB
In runtime work bench
1) select component monitoring and click on display.u can find adapter engine click on it.u can find communication channel click on it and give ur sender or receiver communication channelk details.there u can check the errors,mnessage flow and payload .
2) Message monitoring were u can check the message
3) end-to-end monitoring were u can check complete end to end message flow.
CHECK This three blogs u can find all about XI from basics to adavace concepts

  • Need help in writing test cases while upgradin oracle from 10g to 11g

    hi all
    I want to write test cases for ugrading oracle 10g to 11g i have some idea but want your input.and at the same time some people taking upgrade testing as to ensure that everything works after the upgrade - stremas, jobs, procedures.but i think as 11g is backward compatible all the things should work properly.If not then how can we write a test cases for that,your help is most welcome.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi;
    Please see below notes which could give you some idea to create your test case. By the way if your components are certified wiht 11g so there should be any bad issue for your upgrade

  • Sequences - Test Organzer:  How to move more than 1 test case at a time

    Hello,
    I would like to be able to move multiple test cases within a sequence but I do not know how.  If I highlight multiple rows and select Move Test Case only 1 of the rows will move.  This is fine if your test package only has a few transactions but if you have many it becomes very time consuming.
    Does anyone know how to move more than one test case at a time within a sequence?
    Regards,
    Corinne Taylor

    Hi Corinne,
    Actually I do not have any solution for that either. I am also only able to move the test cases one by one, which indeed can become very time consuming. There I have a small question to you: when I am in the web-based application to change the sequence of the test cases, everything goes really slow. Selecting the test package in the browser, going to change mode, selecting the test cases, creating a test sequence...it all takes time before I can continue. Is it the same with you? Else I will need to look at what is going wrong on our side.
    Thanks and best regards,

  • Error encountered while running a test case using MTM

    Hello,
    Has anyone encountered this error while running a test case using MTM 2013?
    When I click on OK, the message is again shown until that time wherein the popup error is no longer shown.
    When I try to continue to the next pages wherein a modal is being open and I need to enter some data on a text field, the IE would stop working and seems to crash.
    Thanks!

    Hi Kiyaruh,
    Base on the error message, the error is threw by internet explorer.
    Does it have the same issue when access that web site/page in IE directly or it just occurs when run tests through MTM?
    What’s the version of your browser? You may try it with other browser and check whether it has same issue.

  • Moving to Surface Pro 3: Guidance on Test cases & App Comptability

    Hi all,
    I am working on a project to roll out Surface Pro 3 with Windows 8.1 from Windows 7 64-bit laptops for close to 100 users. The office has a full-fledged LAN/wireless, external connectivity through VPN with Windows Domain Controllers and many
    applications.
    I see there are 2 main parts with regards to testing. One is to test the standard windows features including network connectivity and the second is application remediation.
    Can you share any test cases for standard windows features that you may have used in similar upgrades?
    For checking application compatibility, is Application Compatibility Toolkit (ACT) sufficient to assess the need for any application remediation?
    Thanks in advance,
    Avinash

    Hi Avinash,
    The Microsoft Application Compatibility Toolkit (ACT) can be used to reduce the cost and time in resolving application compatibility issues and it can be used to quickly deploy Windows and Windows updates.
    Here is a link for reference of using Application Compatibility Toolkit:

  • Setting Logical component for Test Case.

    Hello,
                I've created test case in SOLAR02 and I want to link my test case to Quality Assurance in my logical component (SAP ECC).How can i set this link? Now the test cases  are link to Developement system in SAP ECC. Please tell me how can i fix it.

    Hi,
       If you want to perform the testing in QA client, set your system role as "Quality system" in STWB_2 transaction.
    By default, the system role has to come as "Quality system".
    If it is not check your transport route of the logical component in t.code SMSY.

  • High Availability Test Cases for ECC6.0, PI 7.0, BI 7.0???

    Dear All
    I am in a pretty difficult situation here. I have to write test cases for the components in the High Availability environment. We are running AIX 5L with HACMP/XD clusters ACTIVE/PASSIVE setting. The following components are in the landscape, ECC6.0, PI 7.0 BI 7.0 cFolders 4.0 Portal 7.0 SLD 2004s and Solman 4.0. I have to write test cases for the above components especially ECC, PI BI and cFolders in the HA environment as to
       1.<b>WHAT WILL BE THE EFFECT ON OTHER COMPONENTS IF ECC</b> <b>FAILOVER  and so on for PI and BI</b>,
       2. How do I check the consistency of the system after a failover, since the time for a failover will be anywhere between 3 - 4 mins.
    Can anyone pls give me a 5 or 6  checks like
    Checking RFC connections
    ABAP dumps
    Consistency check (txn: SICK)   and so on
    In the test cases I have to make sure that after a failover the system is up and ready to perform the activities that it was able to before the Failover......
    Will appreciate any suggestions and will definitely reward points for any helpful answers....Thanks in advance.

    Hi Shailesh,
    If you want you can activate SCM_SNC_GEN_1 depending upon business needs or configuration.
    As per my understanding there is no need to activate any business function but if you need additional feature of SNC to be used then refer below help link for more details:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_SNC700_ehp01/helpdata/en/a2/6d67d9b60149cb887acf72ae0b90ac/frameset.htm
    In ECC you are going for EPh5 which means no need to activate any additional business function(Normally SNC needs EPh4 only for some the latest feature to be use like in workorder collaboration ManufacturingWorkOrderInformation and ManufacturingWorkOrderProductionProgressNotification XML are used if ECC is with EPh4)

  • Interesting test case

    Hi,
    I played a little on my test machine and get interesting results so if someone could explain me what happens here I would be grateful.
    It is obvious that some data corruption happened but still interesting situation.
    OS: Linux 32bit
    Oracle: 10.2.0.2.0
    TEST CASE:
    1. Created tablespace and one table in that tablespace:
    SQL> create tablespace test_tbs datafile '/oradata/tbs01.dbf' size 75M autoextend on next 10M maxsize 512M;
    Tablespace created.
    SQL> create table objtab tablespace test_tbs as select * from dba_objects where 1=2;
    Table created.
    2. Made two more copies of tbs01.dbf datafile:
    SQL> !cp tbs01.dbf tbs02.dbf
    SQL> !cp tbs01.dbf tbs03.dbf
    3. Insert some rows into table objtab:
    SQL> insert into objtab select * from dba_objects;
    50417 rows created.
    SQL> /
    50417 rows created.
    SQL> /
    50417 rows created.
    SQL> commit;
    Commit complete.
    SQL> select count(*) from objtab;
    COUNT(*)
    151251
    4. Deleted tbs01.dbf:
    SQL> !rm tbs01.dbf
    5. Insert still works:
    SQL> insert into objtab select * from dba_objects;
    50417 rows created.
    SQL> insert into objtab select * from dba_objects;
    50417 rows created.
    SQL> insert into objtab select * from dba_objects;
    50417 rows created.
    SQL> commit;
    Commit complete.
    6. Renamed tbs02.dbf to tbs01.dbf:
    SQL> !mv tbs02.dbf tbs01.dbf
    7. Inserted new rows:
    SQL> select count(*) from objtab;
    COUNT(*)
    302502
    SQL> insert into objtab select * from dba_objects;
    50417 rows created.
    SQL> insert into objtab select * from dba_objects;
    50417 rows created.
    SQL> insert into objtab select * from dba_objects;
    50417 rows created.
    SQL> insert into objtab select * from dba_objects;
    50417 rows created.
    SQL> insert into objtab select * from dba_objects;
    50417 rows created.
    SQL> insert into objtab select * from dba_objects;
    50417 rows created.
    SQL> commit;
    Commit complete.
    SQL> insert into objtab select * from dba_objects;
    50417 rows created.
    SQL> insert into objtab select * from dba_objects;
    50417 rows created.
    SQL> insert into objtab select * from dba_objects;
    50417 rows created.
    SQL> commit;
    Commit complete.
    8. Check size of datafile:
    SQL> !du -hs tbs01.dbf
    *96M tbs01.dbf*
    SQL> select count(*) from objtab;
    COUNT(*)
    756255
    9. Deleted datafile tbs01.dbf and renamed tbs03.dbf to tbs01.dbf:
    SQL> !rm tbs01.dbf
    SQL> !mv tbs03.dbf tbs01.dbf
    10. Insert more rows and executed "alter system checkpoint":
    SQL> insert into objtab select * from dba_objects;
    50417 rows created.
    SQL> insert into objtab select * from dba_objects;
    50417 rows created.
    SQL> insert into objtab select * from dba_objects;
    50417 rows created.
    SQL> commit;
    Commit complete.
    SQL> alter system checkpoint;
    System altered.
    SQL> select count(*) from objtab;
    COUNT(*)
    907506
    11. When I check the size of tbs01.dbf it is smaller then before despite of more rows I inserted. How come? Where are all this rows stored?
    SQL> !du -hs tbs01.dbf
    *86M tbs01.dbf*
    12. Now try to offline tablespace and then I get errors in alertlog:
    SQL> alter tablespace test_tbs offline normal;
    alter tablespace test_tbs offline normal

    Best Regards,

    Hi Uwe,
    as I said before my intention was to understand behavior of Oracle and Linux in scenario like this.
    I thought about what will happen if some Linux admin by mistake moves live datafile to another location and after 5-10 mins, when he realizes his mistake, he moves the datafile to old (original) location.
    Will Oracle notice some errors in alert log? (In my test case I didn't receive any message in alert log)
    How will I know (as a DBA) what was done with this datafile if Linux admin does not say anything to me?
    Is any damage made to datbase ? (Probably)
    etc...
    When I am on my test machine I like to do all kind of stuff and try anything that comes on my mind. It isn't important to me if this scenario has any connection to real world problems. I enjoy doing this so I like to spend some of my time on this test cases.
    Anyway thanks for your comment.
    Regards,
    Marko

  • Report available for test cases (manual test script files uploaded)?

    We upload our test script files to the "Test Case" tab, assign it a status.  We are hoping to have a report that would report all test case files and their STATUSES.
    In solar_eval, there is a standard SAP report for test case provided.  However, the field "Status" for the test case file is not included in this report.
    Is there any report available that would give us this status?  If not, in which table does this data come from?  Is there anyway to build a simple SQVI query to extract the list of test cases and their statuses?
    Any help is highly appreciated!

    Hi Jo,
    It's not entirely clear on whether you are look for 'Status' values of the Test Case document itself OR for 'Status' values of the Test(s) conducted on such Test Case documents.
    I believe the following two SOLAR_EVAL reports should resolve either ways:
    (a) SOLAR_EVAL -> Project -> Configuration -> Assignments -> Documentation (Programme called is SAPLSPROJECT_SOLAR_DOC_EVAL_IM) , Tick only 'Test Cases' and switch off other tabs
    (b) SOLAR_EVAL -> Project -> Test -> Test Plan Status Analysis
    Best regards,
    Srini

  • Simple test case with NL and table order .

    Hi,
    did some tests on my 9.2.0.8 and got few questions:
    SQL> select count(*)  from p;
      COUNT(*)
          2000
    SQL> select count(*)  from c;
      COUNT(*)
          1000
    SQL> select count(*) , id from p group by id having count(*) > 1;
    no rows selected
    SQL> select count(*) , id from c group by id having count(*) > 1;
      COUNT(*)         ID
           100         10
    SQL> desc p
               Name
        1      ID number
        2      FILLER varchar2(100)
    SQL> desc c
               Name
        1      ID number
        2      FILLER varchar2(100)
    Got 10046 traces:
    case A
    select /*+ use_nl(p) leading(c) */ *
    from
    p , c where p.id = c.id and c.id in (10)
    Rows     Row Source Operation
        100  TABLE ACCESS BY INDEX ROWID P
        201   NESTED LOOPS
        100    TABLE ACCESS BY INDEX ROWID C
        100     INDEX RANGE SCAN C_ID (object id 411255)
        100    INDEX RANGE SCAN P_ID (object id 411256)
    Case B optimal
    select /*+ use_nl(c) leading(p) */ *
    from
    p , c where p.id = c.id and c.id in (10)
    Rows     Row Source Operation
        100  TABLE ACCESS BY INDEX ROWID C
        102   NESTED LOOPS
          1    TABLE ACCESS BY INDEX ROWID P
          1     INDEX RANGE SCAN P_ID (object id 411256)
        100    INDEX RANGE SCAN C_ID (object id 411255)So its simple nested loop with postponed inner table access .
    Why in row source operation we have got 102 rows (NL level) ? (It means NL was executed 102 times ?)
    And why 201 in other case ?
    Regards
    GregG

    I am not sure about the calculation/reason for those A-ROWS figures but the NL operation executes only once (but accesses inner rowsource 100 times in case one and once in second case) in both cases (which is as expected).
    A closer test case (to OP) is

  • How to edit test case document?

    Hello All,<br>
    <br>
    In SOLAR02 transaction, we are uploading the test case documents in the test cases tab.<br>
    <br>
    Later we can create test plans & test packages. These test packages once assigned to the tester, it comes in the worklist of the tester.<br>
    <br>
    The tester while testing the test cases, can record the test results from the test workbench using the traffic light symbolled icon.<br>
    <br>
    But, my requirement is <b>to edit the test case document and to give some explanation about what all went right and what all went wrong</b>.<br>
    Is that possible?<br>
    <br>
    Any inputs in this regard will be greatly appreciated.<br>
    <br>
    Thanks & Best regds,<br>

    Hi all,
    I was looking for the similar info on the net, and I run into this, saying:
    Here is some info from sdn.com
    This depends on your support package level. But at least in one of the latest support packages this was made possible. You need to make a little customizing in transaction STWB_SET. Under "Notes" you must mark "Use test document". This means that in STWB_WORK when you add a note for a specific test case then a copy is made of your test script in which you can then enter results. This is then done without editing the test script template document.
    If this customizing is not available then you have to apply the latest solman 7.0 support packages.
    Thanks, just what was needed!!
    Now test plan documents can be opened in STWB_WORK and edited there. Remark is that in creating the test plan (STWB_2), Test note drop down list should have the same value as the test document in Test cases tab (SOLAR02).
    Would it be possible also to open test documents (Word, Excel, etc) in STWB_WORK in full screen somehow? That was not yet managed to be done.
    Me personally haven't tried it yet, as I have to finish some other jobs first, but I thought it would be nice to share the info

  • Writing test case for One-way messaging returns fault

    Hi All,
         We are using latest 11.1.1.7 version of SOA Suite. There is a SOA composite which gets data feed from external party using the one-way message exchange pattern to store the feed into the database.
    i.e. from (Web Service component ----> Mediator ----> DBAdapter). The composite uses one way returns fault pattern. This basically returns only the faults when they occur and seems to work as expected. I can see any runtime errors (like database not available returned to the Mediator and the caller of the web service). However, I am unable to write a test case for the fault returned in case of database adapter unable to connect to database as the 'Emulates' tab is disabled.
    Happy to provide more details if required.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    By looking at the error what you have got it indicates that you are not catching the specific fault which is thrown by bpel1 in bpel2.

  • Assign logical components to Test Case Management

    Hi ,
    I have my scenario where I had uploaded the test cases in SOLAR02. And created the rest of the Test plans, packages and so on.
    My logical components are:
    100 DEV
    130 Single Test
    200 QAS (Integral Test)
    300 PRD
    I need to know which is the way to execute the Plan and Package test (Single and Integral ), using the logical component descripted before.
    Regards,
    Ignacio

    Hello Ignacio,
    When you create a test plan, then you can assign the role where the test should be executed.  You need to go to the plan STWB_2, then modify the ATTRIBUTES of the test plan, you have the General Data TAB, and then you can select whaterver role you want to use for the testing.  You can also go to modify the plan itself, go to the Menu Test Plan, dropdown, select System Role and again the role you need.  Save it and it is ready.
