  • Regarding the WebServices

    Hi,
Please let me know what the error describes and what should be the solution.

    Hi,
Check if JCo connection for DEFAULT_WS_METADATA_DEST is created or not? Also 'DEFAULT_WS_METADATA_DEST' is being used by some application or not

  • Regarding the creation of Webservice

    Hi,
I have created a webservice and deployed sucessfully.
I would like to modify it and I deleted the Virtual Interface and the webservice definition.
After building the EJB module and EAR module, I cannot create the Webservice and the Virtual Interface.
I need help in tracing the problem.
    Thanks and regards
    Vivek

    HI..
Two roles are provided for creating Web services:
    ● Web Service Developer
The Web service developer defines the Web service at design time. He or she knows the application logic as well as the resulting conditions for the communication type (for example, stateless/stateful), and the required security level. He or she defines these properties at an abstract level. Specific details, such as the transport binding or security concept to be used, are defined only later during the Web service configuration.
    ● Web Service Configurator
The Web service configurator defines the behavior of the Web service at runtime. He or she knows the system landscape and the technical requirements of the application server where the Web service is to be called. On the basis of the abstract definition of the Web service, the configurator can decide during configuration which specific attributes should be assigned to the features defined at design time.
    Prerequisites
To create or consume Web services, you need the authorizations associated with the role SAP_BC_WEBSERVICE_ADMIN. You must add the authorization S_ICF_ADMIN (authorization for the Internet Communication Framework) to your profile. You use the authorization S_SERVICE for starting external services.
To create a Web service for a function module, function group, BAPI, or XI message interface with a predefined feature profile, use the Web Service Creation Wizard.
To specify the features of the Web service yourself, follow the procedure described in Creating a Virtual Interface.
You can also create Web services using the Web Service Creation Wizard, and then change the virtual interface and Web service definition in the Object Navigator (SE80), by choosing Enterprise Services ® Web Service Library.

  • Regarding exception in the WebService(Business One)

    Hi all,
I have installed Business One in my system. My requirement is to display the sales order details.I am using java connector and SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio for this purpose.
    process:
--I've also included external jar files sboapi.jar and sbowrapper.jar
--I've written a query to get salesorder details from ORDR table.
--I am handling the IRecordSet object.
--I have written a method which returns an object array of SalesOrder class which i have created for this purpose only.
By writing normal java program it is working fine and records are displaying form that SalesOrder object which i've created.
I've created a webservice with the same code and deployed in the WAS of SAP.While testing it is showing an exception
    "Exception in method getSalesOrderDetails()".
Any one please guide me in this issue.
    Thanks and Regards
       Madhu

    Hi Madhu,
I don't know details about WAS, but regarding Java connector (JCo) for DI API please note the following:
JCo is just a thin wrapper around the DI API COM library to facilitate using DI API in a Java enviroment.
Therefore the DLL file which encapsulates the business logic (i.e. OBServerDLL.DLL) will be copied into a local temporary directory on the file system as well - ready to be loaded from the webservice then.
I could imagine that you would need to apply some settings in WAS to enable creating a directory, copying files into it + loading files from there, but this is beyond what I know.
...I assume getSalesOrderDertails() does handle the Logon as well?
For usage in a WebService, DI Server (DI API exposed as a SOAP capable Windows service = WebService to be built on top of it) may be the better alternative... - though it also works like DI API, but inside the DI Server process - not in your WebService...
...despite some limitations (no DB structure can be changed through it etc.) ...
    HTH,
    Frank

  • Error While Consuming the webservice in ABAP

    Hi,
I am trying to consume a webservice in ECC. I have imported the WSDL and generated the proxy. Did the configuration in the SOAMANAGER. While calling the webservice from the program I am getting the following error message. "SRT: Unsupported xstream found: ("HTTP Code 400  : Bad Request")"
       Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks
    Raghavendra Kuamr

    Hi,
Check ST11 to find detailed log of issue, most likely you are passing "WS-A" message id along with request (check settings in SOAMANAGER Logical Port).
Try calling service after suppressing "Message Id transfer". See SAP Note: 1361688 and related notes in 0001292171

  • How to edit a copy of the masthead iView

    Hi,
I downloaded a copy of the masthead iView (com.sap.portal.masthead) in NW studio and I want to change the .jsp files by swapping the logo and the welcome text (shoud go to the right instead of left).
This is very easy to change in the JSP file, but somehow my NW studio doesn't allow me to make changes to the file.
How can I edit the import (from par) project?
    rgds
    -Daniel

    Hi Daniel
Did you download the com.sap.portal.masthead.par.bak file from this location.
    System Administration >Support>Portal Runtime-->Browse deployment >WEB-INF>deployment>temp>com.sap.portal.navigation.masthead.par.bak
Import this file into NDS and it is advisable to change the sap to your company.
    Hope this is clear.

    Kind regards,
    Martin Søgaard

    Hi Jim Ji
The report can be displayed from the java infoview, no doubt, so the report itself works.
But the report cannot be seen from the "SAP Infoview" (:/businessobjects/enterprise115/sap) which is the infoview, I reference from the Folder iView (through the system in the SAP portal). And since the SAP Portal Integration Kit seems very old - the Folder iView was created 12-08-2004 by Ingo Hilgefort - there might be an old version of the jar-files somewhere in the installation.
I guess I should check the version of the jar-files in WEB-INF/lib of our web application (Tomcat) folder, and see if they have been overwritten by the SAP Portal Integration Installation or are an older version of the files in Program FilesBusiness Objectscommon3.5javalib? And also check if somewhere in the .../sap installation there are some old jar-files?
    Kind regards,
    Martin Søgaard

  • How to Use the same iview for both KM End User and the KM Administrator

    Hi friends,
*This is my scenario :* How to Use the same iview for both KM End User and the KM Administrator but with different Context
    Menu Options.
i followed these steps but im getting same context menu for both KM End User and the KM Administrator .
Assign the role Content Administrator to the user km_admin. This is needed so that km_admin can change
the presentation settings for the KM Folder u201EReports_kmFolder‟.
Now, login with user km_admin. Navigate to the Km Folder reports_kmFolder through Content Administration
-> Km Content. Click on Details link of the folder reports_kmFolder.
Go To Settings -> Presentation. Click on the tab u201ESettings for You‟-> Click on button u201ESelect Profile‟.
Select the radio button corresponding to u201Elayout Set‟, and choose u201EConsumerExplorer‟ from the dropdown.
    Click u201EOK‟.
Select both the check boxes corresponding to Items Affected as shown above, and click u201ESave‟
Now, remove the u201ESuper Administrator‟ role from the user km_admin and login with this user.
    How rto resolve this????
    Regards,
    Prasad.

    Hello Prasad,
Most likely the user km_admin still has system principal roles assigned, even though you removed the Super Admin role, you should check that this user doesn't have any other admin roles, otherwise it will be considered a System Principal user and will therefore still have access to all content. For more information see http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/19/56f28fbd4e11d5993b00508b6b8b11/frameset.htm
Try creating a new user with just read access to the content and you should see that it will not be able to make any changes etc.
    Regards,
    Lorcan.

  • Error while executing the webservice

    hi
i have exposed  RFC as webservice ,  when i am trying to
import the webservice (i have used import webservuce model
    deprecated ) ,
when i am trying to call the webservice its throwing error
Service call exception; nested exception is: java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused:
can any one help me out ?

    Hi,
There are lots of possibilities for this error.
    1) First check if you are able to ping the server in which webservice is present.
    2) You can test the webservice from http://host:port/wsnavigator
    3) If it is working here also, then go to Webdynpro and check if any specific authentication is required for webservice
    4) If nothing works, restart both the servers where webservice is and where you are using webdynpro. Then check the application. It will work.

  • Consuming the webservice in PLSQL

    Dear Experts,
I have created a webservice using NWDS and deployed it in EP Java Stack and i was able to test this webservice from WSNavigator.
Now when i am trying to consume the same webservice from PLSQL. I am getting the below exception
ORA-29532: Java call terminated by uncaught Java exception: service: {urnLAMWSWsd/OLAMConfig/document}OLAMWS does not contain port: {urnLAMWSWsd/OLAMConfig/document}OLAMConfigPort_Document
    please advice what to do
    Thanks and Regards
    Hari Krishna

    Hi,
I also think that there is something wrong with the call from PLSQL but try testing the webservice using SoapUI or XMLSpy or any other SOAP client. If it works fine that way then you have conclusive proof that you need to re-check your request call in PLSQL.

  • JCo destination error while executing the webservice model

    Hi,
I have explained what I have done so far and whats my issue right now.
My requirement is calling a PI interface (exposed as webservice) from webdynpro for java and setting some parameter value to the PI interface based on which our functional flow will continue.
    Done so Far :
    1. Created a webdynpro for java application using NWDI.
    2. received the WSDL file of the PI interface and imported as "Adaptive webservice model" into webdynpro.
    3. used the model and set the parameters to PI interface and executed the model.
    4. I have created JCO destinations in the source system (where the application runs) to communicate to the PI system. A special user has been created and assigned in the connection for communicating.
    5. Also I have created the "Dynamic Webseviceproxies" in visual admin with the same name as the JCO destinations. It had a property "URL" for which I have tested with providing both the PI server URL (Http://<Hostname>:<Port no>) and also the complete webservice URL (Which calls the WSDL file directly)
when I run the application, I get the following error.
    1. Exception on creation of service metadata for WS metadata destination 'WD_RFC_METADATA_DEST' and WS interface '{<Interface Name>'. One possible reason is that the metadata destination 'WD_RFC_METADATA_DEST' has not been properly configured; check configuration.
after some exception the next error follows
    2. Invalid Response Code 403 while accessing URL: <The URL which I have provided in the webservice proxy in Visual admin tool> Response Message: Forbidden.
after some lines of exception from PI server the next error follows.
    3. Error: You are not authorized to view the requested resource
    My Question :
    1. Do I miss anything in Configuration?
    2. Is my way of approach wrong?
    3. Any additional authorization needed?
Kindly provide some ideas and inputs.
    Regards,
    Mahendran B.

    Dear Mahendran
JCO destination will not used for the Web Service Model. While creating the webservice model, you need to use the logical destination which you have created in the Visual Admin.
Please refer to the Secured WebServices II and verify currently used webservice logical destination How To Reimport Web Service Models in Web Dynpro for Java

  • What are the Java iView 'Help' possibilities?

    Hi all,
Currently we are investigating what the possibilities are of the 'Help' option for iViews.
If I understand correctly, you can have only one help link included in the context menu.
However, according to common UI preconceptions, it would make more sense to have a separate Help icon, instead of having it as a menu item under the Options icon (ie. help is available right away, plus you immediatly see whether help is available or not)
Regarding this I have two questions:
Would it be possible to have a Help icon next to the Options icon in the iView tray?
And if so, would it then be possible to have multiple links in a help dropdown if a user clicks that help icon?
    Any input is greatly appreciated!
    Thanks in advance,
    Robin van het Hof

Not sure if it helps, but we are using the standard iView help link now that SAP have kindly re-instated the functionality in the next round of EP support packs (see OSS note 875858).  This method allows you to specify a URL to whatever help files you like in each iView.
I agree with Michael that the standard iView help is a little hard for users to find when it's buried in the options menu.  To get around that issue we have created our own iView tray icon image in the universal yellow question mark style, and loaded it up with the portal theme editor.  I would show you what I meant if we could include images in SDN posts
