Region Field Mandatory in TRIP in Travel Management

Dear Gurus,
             I have able to make region field mandatory in PR05 . In our client site all permutation and combination has been done according to region field. But I am unable to bring Region field in TRIP or TP04 and also I want that field to be mandatory . Could you please guide how to bring Region field in TRIP or TP04 and how can I make that mandatory too.
Please suggest.

Unfortunately this is a limitation of the backend functionality because the REGION field was a new functionality starting ERP2005 in Web Dynpro, and this field is only available in FITVFELD_WEB. The field was integrated with the "Country" field in Web Portal. The customising point for Travel Request was also added in Portal which as you see is not available in FITVFELD.
And when you create expenses for the request, the REGION field can be input manually, the value is maintained in Table T702O.
So as a standard solution so it is not possible without making a modification
I mentioned modifying the table PTRV_T706Z_FLDS but actually just reading it again I dont think this will work for TRIP in this manner.

    I have a similar problem. I tried to use function module HRTRV_IF_MODIFY_TRIP. This is the one that satisfied my requirements. But I keep getting an error message.
    If you would like to open the trip, modify then save, the function module TRIP_CHANGE_INTERACTIVE can me usefull to you.
    My problem is that I would like to pass all trip data and that data must save the trip in the system, just as the BAPI BAPI_TRIP_CREATE_FROM_DATA.
    If you find a solution, please let me know.

    Hi Rachana;
    If you need it so much then you can create a custom table. And with user exit if the trip has been deleted then you can fill this custom table, but it is not in standart. You have to develop custom solution.

  • Hide Create Flight Link from Travel Manager Page (TRIP Tcode)

       As we all know that after executing TRIP tcode we have the travel manager page which has 4 options.
    1)  Create Travel Request  
    2)  Create Flight, Hotel, Car Rental, Train ... With Ref.  
    3)  Create Travel Expense Report ... With Ref.  
    4)  List of All Trips   
    Can someone tell me how to hide the 2) option in this travel manager page. Also the user is not able to see create travel expense link in my open trips under subsequest activities column.

    Hi,
    Go to "Define Schema and Individual Field Control" in IMG, and here you can hide and display various fields and tasks. Select the schema which is related to the TRIP (transaction) - i.e. the fast entry (99)

  • ESS Travel Management - Link ITEM TEXT with DESCRIPTION field

    Hi guys!
    We are using the travel management in ess.
    If I create a trip and use for example the travel expense type flight or hotel and
    write a description for each type, I want, that this description is display in the ITEM TEXT in tc FB03.
    But the ITEM TEXT displayed always for example *Trip from 09.06.2008 to 12.06.2008
    for each position. In the IMG I found nothing to modify this text field.
    Where can I customize this field?
    It is possible to link the ITEM TEXT with description field in ESS.

  • Travel Management - Overlaping Trips

    Hi,
    This is a Travel Managment issue.
    I have a requirement to permit overlaping of trips in transaction PR05.
    For example, there is an approved trip from 01/01/2009 to 05/01/2009 in PR05. If you try to enter an overlapping (concurrent) trip say from 02/01/2009 to 04/01/2009, the sytem will not allow you to do so. My requirement is to remove this restiction. Hence allowing the user to create expense claims for overlaping periods in PR05 which is linked to ESS.

    HI,
    In the trip schema select the tick box of over lapping of trips. Once you select this, you would be able to create multiple travel request on the same day.
    Goto the following node:
    Travel Management --> Travel Expenses --> Dialog and Travel Expenses Control --> Dialog Control --> Define Schema and Individual Field Control.
    In the above select overlapping of trips allowed tick box.

    Is there a provision in lead management to make the fields mandatory so that lead number is not generated without filling the mandatory fields/ as it is in business partnerm using field groupings in customizing (eg. without submitting address proof BP number is not generated)

    I dont know Kai's solution but it could be good.
    If you want to deal with badi you can use its method CHECK_BEFORE_SAVE, and in it
    if some fields are not filled you can write: RAISE do_not_save.
    Document won't be saved then.
    I checked in my system, and guid is generated (perhaps it is just generated by special FM, but you can not find it
    in any of tables like crmd_orderadm_h or crmd_order_index).
    So in my opinion just guid is generated but not saved in database, until this BADI allows to save.

    Question:
    The question is - Is it possible to somehow customize field control for TRIP selective screen by means of SPRO IMG Scheme and field control or transaction FITVFELD (i.e. hide some fields or add new fields)? Or fields can be added or deleted only by ABAP modifications and User-exits?
    Prerequisite: I need to add an additional CHAR or TEXT field "Document number" in TRIP transaction which will allow a manager to manually enter a document number of a trip. Further this field has to be added in reports as well, so that manager could get all the trip details due to this new field "Document number".
    What am I doing wrong?

    how do you define trip provision variant at first?
    did copy standard variant?!
    if you copy from standard variant - such as 01, or 99, then you will find schema under your copy trip variant.

  • Travel management: trips are missing

    Hi,
    A user said that he has entered 3 trips for travel via transaction PR05 (Travel expense manager).
    He has sent a print screen where I can see that the trips have the status "Trip completed - To be settled".
    When I log on to transaction PR05, I don't see the trips.
    What could be the reason?

    it has been solved. The user was using an old web link to the T&E site.

  • Travel management - problem with post a trip for an employee in India

    Hi,
    I am configure travel management for a customer, in there SAP system. I have already made the configuration for countries like Sweden, Finland, Italy, Germany etc, but when I should do it for India I can not save a trip in PR05. I have copied the configuration (schema) from Sweden to India (India has no schema in standard) and that is no problem, but when I should enter a trip and save in PR05 I have the following problem:
    1. It seems like I am in US because travelling country is per default USA (it should be India when I have linked the employee to the company code for India in transaction code PO13 and PA40). I can change the country to IN (India).
    2. When I enter an expense type and amount, the system have a tax code for USA per default (I have configured that this expense type should choose a tax code in India but the system choose one for USA). I can change it to an Indian tax code.
    3. The system also ask for a tax jurisdiction code on the row for expense type. Here I can choose 9999 as a dummy. But I have no idea why I have to specify that. I think that is typical for USA?
    4. When I have changed the country to IN, the tax code to an indian tax code and specified the jurisdiction tax code to 9999 and then save I have got the following error message:
    " Customization for 1600 j_1iindcus missing in table
    Message no. 8I303" and when I have googled on that error message I found that I should go to:
    IMG-Logistics General-Tax on Goods movement -India-Basic Settings-Maintain COmpany code settings
    but that is according to logistics and everything else in the system as purchase etc is working fine with no problem with tax jurisdiction code so I don´t guess that I should change anything there if I destroy anything else.
    5. If I change the country to IN and not register any trip expense but instead register trip segment, that the employee should have compensation for travelling with its own car and then save I have got the message that I have not maintained the currency USD/rupie which is a sign of that the systém beleives that we are in USA.
    Please help. I have no idea how to come around this.

    In transaction code FITVFELD I have IN as default country but if I change that country to another I still have US as trip country in PR05. In that transaction code (FITVFELD) I have domestic trip, international etc (like configuration in Sweden), but when I initialize a new trip for India I can not change trip type, if there is a domestic or international. When I do the same for Sweden I can choose so I wonder if the system get the information from USA from anywhere else.
    I have also read about jurisdiction code and that is special for USA and Canada and then not for India?

    You wont find many reports in standard. SAP doesnt deliver a lot of them because every customer have their own concerns and needs.
    However I think that the one which is the closest of your needs is program RPR_TRIP_HEADER_DATA / transaction S_AHR_61016401 (contains link to trip details such as receipts, mileage..).
