Register Oracle Streams with OID

I'm trying to setup an Oracle Streams environment that registers queues with OID. I have the db registered, and set global_toppic_enabled=true. DB is in archivemode. When I try to setup a queue with:
BEGIN
DBMS_STREAMS_ADM.SET_UP_QUEUE(
queue_table => 'STREAMS_QUEUE_TABLE',
queue_name => 'STREAMS_QUEUE',
queue_user => 'STRMADMIN');
END;
I get
Error report:
ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [kcbgtcr_5], [52583], [4], [0], [], [], [], []
ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_STREAMS_ADM", line 739
ORA-06512: at line 2
00600. 00000 - "internal error code, arguments: [%s], [%s], [%s], [%s], [%s], [%s], [%s], [%s]"
*Cause:    This is the generic internal error number for Oracle program
exceptions.     This indicates that a process has encountered an
exceptional condition.
*Action:   Report as a bug - the first argument is the internal error number
Has anyone run into this? I searched metalink, but couldn't find anything. I'm running 10.2.0.1 on Windows 2K.
Thanks in advance.

I never use streams with OID but check Bug 4996133 - OERI[kcbgtcr_5] updating an IOT in RAC environment.
I would consider to upgrade db to 10.2.0.3 - it is first really stable release of 10gR2

  • Register oracle DB with OUD for EUS

    My goal is to Enable Kerberos authentication to an oracle database using OUD as a proxy to Active Directory. When I attempt to register the DB with OUD 11.1.2.2.0. I get the following error in the access logs.
    [19/Feb/2015:09:11:02 -0500] ADD RES conn=26 op=2 msgID=3 result=65 message="Entry cn=wolfe,cn=OracleContext violates the Directory Server schema configuration because it includes attribute orclAci which is not allowed by any of the objectclasses defined in that entry" etime=2
    So it seems there is an issue with the orclAci attribute. I checked the schema through ODSM and I don't see it listed in the schema.
    I am hoping Sylvain Duloutre-Oracle could help with the problem.

    Hello,
    You should use the cn=oracleContext,<your OUD suffix> during DB registration, not cn=OracleContext.
    cn=OracleContext is populated when OUD is configured for EUS support howveer all the other EUS-related configuration objects must be created in
    the cn=oracleContext associated with the OUD suffix configured for EUS.

  • Replacing Oracle Names with OID?

    Hi All
    We have our systems using Oracle Names for db connections. these are on 9.2.0.4 and we plan to move to 10g and we want to move from oracle names to OID
    couple of queries which we have
    Is Oracle Names supported for Oracle 10g databases and on Solaris 10 platforms? if not then is OID the product to replace Oracle Names or is it some other product?
    Does it have a repository database to retain data or is it flat file based?
    Does this software replacement version support oracle 8i, 9i, 10g and 11g databases?
    please let us know if possible
    thanx
    kb

    Names has been deprecated so moving away from it is the correct course of action.
    To find out about OID, which is not "database" I would suggest you either check the product docs or contact your Oracle sales rep. Invite that lucky person to bring out a Sales Engineer and give you a demo and answer your questions: They will.

  • Oracle Forms 11g SSO with OID and IAM

    What versions of OID and Access Manager are required to get an Oracle Forms and Reports 11.1.1.2 application
    on Weblogic 10.3.2 configured for Oracle SSO using OID authentication?
    We want the OID to store and authenticate Users for username and password logins to the database, then
    ultimately by user Certificate authentication in OID. I have OID 11.1.1.2 installed and SSO enabled for Forms
    in Enterprise Manager.
    Is Access Manager required for Forms SSO with OID authentication to work or just to allow user interaction
    for registration and Password reset?
    Things mention OAM 10.4.3 and others talk about IAM 11g for Forms 11.1.1.2 SSO to work with OID.
    We did this back in Oracle Forms and OID 10g with JSP and LDAP to setup users but I understand 11g is
    different and IAM can help or is required for this type of SSO to work.
    Any help?
    Edited by: Kirch on Apr 30, 2013 7:39 AM

    Hi,
    According to Oracle's certification matrix found at http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/downloads/fmw-11gr1certmatrix.xls, Oracle Forms 11.1.1.2 is not supported to use any Oracle Access Manager (OAM) version. OAM is a component of IAM. It is only supported with Oracle SSO 10.1.4.x. The best solution would be to upgrade the Forms and Reports environment to either 11gR2 (11.1.2.1) or to the latest 11gR1 patchset 11.1.1.7. Both versions are compatible with OAM 11.1.1.7.0 and OID 11.1.1.7.0 where only Forms 11gR2 (11.1.2.1) is compatible with OAM 11.1.2.0 and OID 11.1.1.7.0. That would be the best solution as we have ran into configuration problems in the past with using Oracle SSO 10.1.4.x.
    Since OID 11.1.1.2.0 is already installed, you should be able to patch it up to 11.1.1.7.0.
    For user authentication in OID, it is required to have OAM or Oracle SSO as both products use WebGate or mod_osso agents for authentication and authorization. For purposes of allowing end users to register accounts and password reset, you will either need to also install another IAM component called Oracle Identity Manager (OIM) or create a customized SSO login page that can be coded to perform these actions. I believe there are some examples available on the Internet.
    Thanks,
    Scott

  • Capturing data of the previous time interval with Oracle Stream(HotLog)

    I read from 10g Oracle manual that Oracle Steam can capture data within specified time interval with begin_data and end_data options.
    For example :
    BEGIN
    DBMS_CDC_PUBLISH.CREATE_CHANGE_SET(
    change_set_name => 'set_cns',
    description => 'set_cns...',
    change_source_name => 'HOTLOG_SOURCE',
    stop_on_ddl => 'y',
    begin_date => sysdate,
    end_date => sysdate + 1);
    END;
    However if I set begin_date to previous time from now, Oracle doesn't caputre data anymore in this case.(HotLog method)
    (I set begin_date => sysdate - 1/24
    end_date => sysdate + 1/24.)
    Does anybody know to capture the previous time interval with Oracle Stream?

    Change C2 to:
    cursor c2(passing_date IN date) IS
      SELECT MONITOR_ID, SAMPLE_ID,
                   COLL_TIME, DEW_POINT
        FROM ARCHIVE_DATA
        WHERE COLL_TIME < passing_date
        ORDER BY COLL_TIME desc;And rather than populating a table with the three records, you could just select the three records using: where COLL_TIME between Prev3_time and Prev1_time

    Hi,
    We have Oracle Metadata Repository version 10.2.0.4 and our Oracle Identity Management version is 10.1.4.0.1
    While installing/configuring OID 10.1.4.0.1 we are getting the below error.

  • Help with Oracle Streams. How to uniquely identify LCRs in queue?

    We are using strems for data replication in our shop.
    When an error occours in our processing procedures, the LCR is moved to the error queue.
    The problem we are facing is we don't know how to uniquely identify LCRs in that queue, so we can run them again when we think the error is corrected.
    LCRs contain SCN, but as I understand it, the SCN is not unique.
    What is the easy way to keep track of LCRs? Any information is helpful.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    When you correct the data,you would have to execute the failed transaction in order.
    To see what information the apply process has tried to apply, you have to print that LCR. Depending on the size (MESSAGE_COUNT) of the transaction that has failed, it could be interesting to print the whole transaction or a single LCR.
    To do this print you can make use of procedures print_transaction, print_errors, print_lcr and print_any documented on :
    Oracle Streams Concepts and Administration
      Chapter - Monitoring Streams Apply Processes
         Section - Displaying Detailed Information About Apply Errors
    These procedures are also available through Note 405541.1 - Procedure to Print LCRs
    To print the whole transaction, you can use print_transaction procedure, to print the error on the error queue you can use procedure print_errors and to print a single_transaction you can do it as follows:
    SET SERVEROUTPUT ON;
    DECLARE
       lcr SYS.AnyData;
    BEGIN
        lcr := DBMS_APPLY_ADM.GET_ERROR_MESSAGE
                    (<MESSAGE_NUMBER>, <LOCAL_TRANSACTION_ID>);
        print_lcr(lcr);
    END;

  • Problem register Oracle Virtual Directory to WebLogic - urgent ... pls help

    Hi,
    I'm a new to Oracle product and would like to install and run Oracle Virtual Directory for the following purpose:
    Using LDAP client that connects to OVD and to issue ldapsearch command line based on the attrbiutes and filters of each one of the two Directories behind the OVD..
    |-- Tivoli LDAP directory
    LDAP client -> OVD ---|
    |-- MS AD
    I have downloaded the identity management package 11g and install only the OVD on Windows 2003 standard machine.
    I then realized that I have to install the WebLogic package to have WEB UI to the OVD admin.
    So I downloaded the WebLogic 10.3.1.0 package and install it.
    I followed the installation instructions of
    'Installing and Configuring Only Oracle Virtual Directory Without a WebLogic Administration Domain' at http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12839_01/install.1111/e12002/ovd.htm#CIHFFAFH
    and complete the installation.
    Notice that the OVD and the WeblOgic SW are installed on the same Windows machine.
    After that I had to register Oracle Virtual Directory with the WebLogic Administration Server.
    Running the command-line I got the following error:

    Any thoughts ?

    Hi,
    I am also facing the same problem. I have oracle internet directory 11.1.1 installed without domain. I then installed weblogic 32bit exe on same windows server.
    while registering getting the same error. I think it is because of bit compatibility. OID is 64bit and weblogic is 32bit. Not sure.
