Register soa composite has wrong hostname dest unreachable

Hi All,
I am trying to register an SOA Composite and getting dest unreachable because the hostname originally configured no longer exists. I have searched the file system looking for anything that has the old hostname but find nothing.
where can i change the hostname? not sure if its a weblogic thing or a manager server thing
Thanx
Fred

Hi,
Yes it is the command line. Yes I give it the correct OIM url. but it seems as part of registering the composite it wants to turn around
and connect to soa-infra so it fails with this
t3://oimvm.THEOLDHOSTNAME.net:8001/soa-infra: Destination unreachable.
I recently changed the hostname on this machine and I know if I change it back it will work but I would like to know where to change the hostname so I can make the old one match the new one.
Thanx for the reply.

    First of all you have modifed OOTB approval flow, why you are not going for custom approval flow with skip rule.
    Now
    Are you able to compile the workflow?
    before going to re - register follow proper steps.
    Also check the below link

  • Adapter Engine has wrong hostname after HSC with Distributed System

    I have an interesting situation where I have performed a homogeneous system copy from a standard system to a distributed system.  The only that really has changed is the database server name.  I performed the global host install, the database instance import, and then the Primary Application Server install.
    The strange error is that the adapter engine after the install shows the hostname of the database server.  The SLD CIM Instance data shows the hostname of the database server as an adapter engine.  The correct hostname for the adapter engine is there also, but is not updated by the SLD Data Supplier/or RZ70 update.
    The SLD entries for the ABAP and Java stacks are never updated after this copy.
    I'm pretty much stumped on this one.  I think I picked the correct options for the install.

    Hi,
    you said that you have done homogenous system refresh. As a check please follow the below note and let me know if it is helpful.

  • Unable to get the composite instance for the invocation. This could be because instance has not yet been created or because the audit level for the SOA infra has been set to Off

    I am on Oracle 11.1.1.7 BPM suite on W8 64 bit. I can't launch the flow trace and get the error "Unable to get the composite instance for the invocation. This could be because instance has not yet been created or because the audit level for the SOA infra has been set to Off".  I have set the audit level to development at the soa-infra>SOA Administration> Common Properties > Audit level set to development and Capture Composite Instance State is Checked.
    Can somebody advice.
    Thanks

    Can you please confirm me the following steps...
    Log in to the EM console, Expand soa-infra (soa_server1) , go to the partition where your composite is been deployed, Click on your composite, On the right, click on the dropdown Settings and choose Composite Audit Level. you can choose to set the Audit Level for this composite. If you choose Inherit, it will take the settings to what the server is being set to. Otherwise, we can override it by choosing Off, Production, or Development.
    Make sure your setting for that composite is not Off, keep inherit or production or development.
    Thanks,
    N

    Hi,
    404 response indicates that soa-infra is not running in the host:port/gdiora001.in.ibm.com, port:7001
    Pl make sure that you have soa-infra running in that host/port.

    For the logs,
    you can find the soa server logs under $DOMAIN_HOME/servers/soa_server1/logs

  • Unable to Harvest a SOA composite from SOA suite server to OER11g

    Hi All,
    I wanted to harvest a SOA composite from SOA suite server to OER11g.For that i had followed this portion *5.2.6.1 Harvesting from Oracle SOA Suite Server* from Oracle® Fusion Middleware Configuration Guide for Oracle Enterprise Repository11g Release 1 (11.1.1) E16580-01 document.
    The Version of OER is : OER 11.1.1.2.0 , the version of SOA suite is : 11.1.1.3.0 and the version of SOA weblogic server is :10.3.3
    OER and SOA domain are different but under the same Middleware home.
    Database is also located at same machine.
    The steps i had followed:
    1.The User of the weblogic server has these three roles i.e 1. Admin 2. Operator 3. Monitor
    2.Unzip the Harvester.zip into the repository location.
    3.Modified the <RemoteQuery> section and OER section of HarvesterSettings.xml file
    4.using encrypt.bat file encrypted the password.

    You have to import the OER-Harvester-Solution-Pack located at C:\Oracle\Middleware\repository111\core\tools\solutions\11.1.1.4.0-OER-Harvester-Solution-Pack.zip
    (path may change under your custom installation) to the OER using the admin option import/export -> import

  • PVC2300 wrong hostname

    Hi,
    we own two PVC2300. They have new hostnames in their configuration, but both registered in DNS with a wrong Hostname (CAM<mac-address>). I did a firmware update, but no chance. Has anyone a solution for me?
    Thanks.

    Sorry I may have misunderstood.
    Are you registering these with a dynamic DNS service in the cloud?
    If so, the IP address you subscribed with would have to match the registered name you submitted..
    Or are you doing local DNS on the LAN, in which case the static NAT IP of the Cameras would match you local DNS table (like an /etc/hosts on Unix).
    The key is a static IP mapped to a name so the IP doesnt change with subsequent DHCP assignment and make your names assoications wrong...maybe?

  • Error While executing the SOA Composite application.

    Hi Gurus,
    I have recently installed the VM box "oel6-64bit-soasuite-11gr1-ps6-otn.ovi" for Learning the SOA and also gone through the SOA Oracle training so i have the lab exercise documents with me. So i was trying to follow the steps mentioned in the training document for chapter 5 (CCValidate) for credit card Validation in which SOA composite application uses the DB adapter to query the DA and return the Credit card status.
    I'm using the JNDI as "eis/DB/SOADemo" and when i looked in the Admin Console i can see the DB adapter status is OK .
    Domain Structure --> dev_soasuite --> Services --> Data Source --> I dont See the eis/DB/SOADemo listed.
         also tried to add the eis/DB/SOADemo in data Source but thorws Java exception saying already exists.
    Domain Structure --> Environment --> Servers --> View JNDI Tree --> I can see the above mentioend JNDI i.e. eis/DB/SOADemo.
    Please let me know what is wrong and how i can get rid of it.
    But when i deployed the SOA Composite application on Server and tested the same it is throwing exception as below
    ava.lang.Exception: oracle.sysman.emSDK.webservices.wsdlapi.SoapTestException: Client received SOAP Fault from server : Exception occured when binding was invoked. > Domain Structure --> dev_soasuite --> Services --> Data Source --> I dont See the eis/DB/SOADemo listed.
    Do you see jdbc/SOADataSource? If you go to connection pool, what are the connection parameters: host, database, user, etc? I bet the user is not SOADEMO there...
    > When i queried it from the database using the user SOADEMO it returns data
    What other parameters are you using to query the database? host, database, etc... Are them the SAME you see on the connection pool above? I bet something is different...
    Hope this helps...

  • 12c SOA composite deployment issue using maven

    I am facing issue with 12c SOA composite deployment using maven. I execute the below command for deploying any composite. (Note: Update and run init.cmd file before running the below maven command)
    mvn pre-integration-test –f soa-pom.xml –Dcomposite.name=TestSOAProj –Dcomposite.version=1.1
    Issues:
    As seen above, I specified composite version to be deployed as 1.1 in pom.xml file, but maven deploys the composite with version that is present in composite.xml. It does build the jar file with the version specified in the pom i.e. TestSOAProj_rev1.1.jar, but when it deploys I see the composite with version as 1.0 (this version is in composite.xml). The out of the box maven script is not overwriting the revision in the composite.xml with the value specified in the pom file.
    Also, is there a way to pass the partition name as an user input parameter in the pom file. I tried this with the out of the box pom file by giving the partition name as something other than ‘default’, but the maven script ignores this and always deploys to ‘default’.
    I am not sure if I am missing anything here. Please suggest.

  • BPM Worklist - WorklistServiceUtil.getTaskRemoteAppURL Has Wrong URL

    Hi all,
    There is something wrong in our BPM Worklist configuration, and I am not sure what it is. When we are on the Administrator tab in BPM Worklist, and click on a task to view the details, we get a page not found error. The logs say it is trying to connect to a URL that doesn't exist for SOA.
    We have SOA configured for a front-end host through a load balancer (soa.mydomain.com), and SOA listens on a virtual host/IP (soavh.mydomain.com) for failover. The VM where SOA runs is soavm.mydomain.com. The port for SOA is 8001 (non-ssl), but the url is being built as https://soavm.mydomain.com:8002.
    soavm.mydomain.com is where WSM is configured and it listens on port 7002.
    I need to know how to tell it to use the correct host and port. Please reference the WLS_SOA1 Diagnostic log exerpt below.
    I've not been able to find anything mentioning where "WorklistServiceUtil.getTaskRemoteAppURL" is looking in the configuration.

    You can add or remove the URI of the task details application used in Oracle Human Workflow.
    To manage the URI of the human task service component task details application:
    1.Access this page through one of the following options:
    From the SOA Infrastructure Mene
    1. Select Home.
    2. Select the Deployed Composites tab.
    3. In the Composite section, select a specific SOA composite application.
    4. Under soa-infra, select a specific SOA composite application.
    5. Select the human task service component in the Component Metrics table.
    6. Click Administration.
    7. Set the HTTP Host and Port if it wasn't configured that way when you deployed.

  • Spawning multiple approval tasks in parallel in OIM11g SOA Composite

    Hi,
    We are trying to implement the following scenario.
    1) We are trying to develop a SOA composite for AD Group Access
    2) The request dataset contains a child table for AD User Group Details which is as follows.
    <AttributeReference name="AD User Group Details" attr-ref="UD_ADUSRC" type="String" length="20" widget="text" available-in-bulk="true">
    <AttributeReference name="Group Name" attr-ref="Group Name" type="String" length="400" widget="lookup" available-in-bulk="true" lookup-code="Lookup.ADReconciliation.GroupLookup" primary="true"/>
    </AttributeReference>
    3) Consider the user is already provisioned to AD.
    4) User now tries to request for AD Group Access by using a request template
    5) The request dataSet for the resource "AD Group Access" will be displayed where the user would "Add" the group(s) to which (s)he want access.
    6) Once the request is sumbitted the associated SOA composite would be executed.
    7) Now, in the SOA composite the logic should be as follows:
    a. For each group selected, there is a corresponding dataApprover who should approve the request.
    b. Once the dataApprover approves the request it goes to the next approver who is securityApprover.
    c. Once the securityApprover approves the request, the request should go thru and the user should get the membership in the AD Group.
    d. Since "AD User Group Details" is a child form in the request dataset, the user can add multiple groups in the same request.
    e. If there are muliple groups selected in the same request, then the same request should spawn parallel approval tasks for all corresponding dataApprovers and securityApprovers.
    f. Then the user should get membership to those AD Groups for which the corresponding dataApprover and securityApprover had approved the request.
    e. If a dataApprover or securityApprover rejects the request then the user shouldn't get membership to the respective group. However, this shouldn't prevent the user from getting membership to other groups for which dataApprover-securityApprover approval was done.
    The dataApprover and securityApprover for the groups are stored in a db table mapping to the corresponding group name.
    We have implemented a SOA composite for which the logic is fine if we add only one group in the child table of request dataset. As per the current implementation, when a user submits the request, the dataApprover and securityApprover for the selected group are fetched from the table and the global variables in SOA composite are set with the ID of dataApprover and securityApprove using setVariableData. These are sting variables. These variables are used in the approval task. The approval task has two "Single Type" participants - dataApprover and securityApprover. These participants fetch the value of dataOwner and securityOwner from the global variables set using setVariableData.
    Now, as mentioned above, if mutiple groups are added like group1, group 2 etc. then there should be multiple approval tasks spawned in parallel that will be approved/rejected by dataApprover1-securityApprover1, dataApprover2-securityApprover2 etc. Depending on the output (approve/reject) the user should get membership to appropriate groups.
    Any inputs on how to modify the current composite to spawn multiple approval tasks in parallel depending on the number of groups added from the requestDataSet would be helpful.
    Regards,
    Swaroop

    Single request id then you are bit safe. The way to do it would be:
    1. Set the dataApprovers as a comma separated list of all the data approvers for all the groups.
    2. Set the securityApprovers as a command separated list of all the security approvers for all the groups.
    3. In Human Task assign the first stage to all the dataApprovers and second stage to securityApprovers.
    Cons of this approach are:
    1. All the approvers would see all the data and they might be confused what they are approving.
    2. securityAppprovers for say group1 won't get the item untill all the dataApprovers approve the request even though dataApprover has approved the request for group1.
    3. Would be hard to implement the rejection cases; depending upon how you want to handle the rejections. For e.g. what if any dataApprover rejects the request? Should the whole request be rejected? If so what would happen to those which have already been approved by dataApprovers? Same case goes for securityApprovers. Again since you cannot modify the requested data once the request is submitted; thus you cannot remove the rejected groups from the request.
    4. You provisioning won't trigger untill all dataApprovers and all securityApprovers have approved the request.
    5. Any one approve from comma separated list of approvers would approve the request. Thus you cannot make sure that all the approvers should approve the request. The workaround would be to create parallel stages in human task and assign one group/approver to one parallel stage. This would mean that you will have to hard code the number of parallel approvals which can be generated in your BPEL human task (This would again depend upon the number of groups requested). To workaround this you could use BPEL extenal routing program where you can pragmatically assign tasks but again since there is no entitlement based request engine in OIM, thus there would be issues there too.
    As a workaround, make sure that you allow only one group to be requested per request and reject the request outright if multiple groups are requested in a single request. You will need to buy in the business on this one.
    Have heard the grapevine that 12G which is in the pipeline would have entitlement based request engine and also would allow for modification of request data once the request is submitted.

    Hi Kevin,
    Thanks for the idea!!
    Just wanted to check if there is a way to set the variable from within the soa composite with the error message which can then be displayed on OIM UI. Like if there is any error i.e., if we try to assign a task to the user who is not present in OIM, the error gets displayed and the status of the task is shown as "ALERTED" . Is it possible to achieve the similar behaviour with custom errors!!
    Thanks,

  • How to use the b2b to send and recieve HL& message  without SOA Composite

    Hi Guru's
    We are doing HL7 transactions at our end. We have following use case
    Inbound partner gets the HL7(ADT) message and then without any transformation we wan't to send the message to another partner ( set up in the same b2B). I understand I can do this way
    b2b--> SOA Composite--> B2B
    but we don't want to use the SOA composite here as it is simple passthrough ( i.e no transformation of data is done).
    I understand B2B when it gets the message puts in IP_IN_QUEUE
    Can b2b( remote tp) read directly from IP_QUeue and send it.
    I mean it has this strcuture
    Inbound tP--> HOST--> Outbound TP
    by doing this we will have no need to create the SOA composite. I hope this should be possible. I tried using the listening channel but outbound TP did'd got any message. Can you please guide me in all the steps I need to follow in order to set this up?
    Any pointers will be highly appreciated as this will eliminate the SOA composite from the picture.
    Regards
    Sahil

    Hi Sahil,
    Yes, it can be done using HUB mode implementation. Please refer -
    http://blogs.oracle.com/oracleb2bgurus/entry/implementing_oracle_b2b_11g_as
    A sample configuration is also provided there (for HL7 itself).

  • Jdevelopper and editing EJB in soa composites

    Hello,
    I'm using Jdevelopper (with the bellow configuration) in order to edit SOA composite but it is introducting a bug into the "composite.xml" file when I edit an "EJB exposed service"
    Previously the working service tags were :
    <service name="MyService" ui:wsdlLocation="MyRef.wsdl">
    <interface.wsdl interface="/my/package/service/#wsdl.interface(My)"/>
    <binding.ejb jarLocation="myjar.jar" javaInterface="my.package.service.MyFacade" serviceId="MyService"/>
    </service>
    but once i edit it with the graphical interface it becomes and no more work once deployed
    <service name="MyService" ui:wsdlLocation="MyRef.wsdl">
    <interface.wsdl interface="/my/package/service/#wsdl.interface(My)"/>
    <binding.ejb jarLocation="myjar.jar" ejb-version="EJB3" name="my.package.service.MyFacade"/>
    </service>
    As we can see, there is no more a *"serviceId"* tag in node *<binding.ejb>* and it has rename *"javaInterface"* attribute to *"name"*.
    From my point of view, these are two bugs from JDevelopper as composite was working before and no more after modification.
    Can anyone confirm the same behaviour and the same issues ?
