Registering Provider Problem

Hello,
I am trying to register a portlet (Java Portlet) in Oracle Portal. I follow "creating a java portlet document http://download-east.oracle.com/docs/cd/B14099_19/portal.1012/b14134/pdg_java_intro.htm#CHDDGGJE)" and successfully completed upto 6.5.2.3.3 (Deploying the WAR File). When I am trying to registering the portlet getting below error

Here is my WSDL URL:http://sd1jc3b1:8888/PortalMessaging-Project-context-root/portlets?WSDL
I ran this URL in browser,i got the below producer's WSDL document.

To resolve the Registration problem we need to follow the following link
http://download-east.oracle.com/docs/cd/B25221_01/portal.1013/b25601.pdf
(6.3 Configuring Your Application Server to Run JPS-Compliant Portlets).

    The sample provider that we include on PortalStudio is: http://portalstudio.oracle.com/servlet/sample
    Since the "portalstudio.oracle.com" name is published to the Internet, it is able to be registered. Most of the problems that I've seen are related to this. We plan to fix the error messages coming out of the wizard to be more clear as to what is causing the problems.

    Can you help me find the problem?

    Hi Bill,
    Your problem could be because of couple of resons. Try following:
    a) On your machine try giving URL http://192.115.137.38:80/servlets/sample
    Do you get a success page. This page would indicate to you location of provider.xml
    If a) is successful, then try registering the provider in portal.
    b) Before trying to register your provider with portal. On your web provider installation machine, go to $IAS_HOME/Apache/jserv/logs. Delete jserv.log and mod_jserv.log
    c) Try registering provider to portal.
    d) On your local web provider installation machine. Check following files for errors
    $IAS_HOME/Apache/jserv/logs/jserv.log
    $IAS_HOME/Apache/jserv/logs/mod_jserv.log
    Couple of reasons of errors:
    a) sample_portlets.jar is not specified in jserv.properties of your web provider machine
    b) web server on your web provider machine is not running

    Mail has become very, very slow.  Do I have a provider problem or is there something I can do with my Mac?

    Couple of steps. One is general housekeeping and the other is performance related.
    If you have an extremely large number of messages in your inbox(es) or sent categories, consider the ones that remain relevant and purge those that are not. Do this regularly. Choose the Mailbox > Erase Deleted Items > In All Accounts...
    Afterwards, you can start by rebuilding your Mailbox indexes within your individual mail accounts. For each Account in the left panel of Mail under Inbox, select it, and then from Mailbox menu, choose Rebuild (bottom of menu). When you are done, exit and restart Mail.
    Still slow?

  • Register the Provider Problems

    I have downloaded the sample HTTP Server that runs on NT. I have set up my zone.properties, jserv.properties and all the other stuff. Im working w/ [Oracle Portal Development Kit] where you set up samples and test them. I have set up a
    servlet.sample.initArgs=provider-root=D:\jdpk\provider\sample,sessiontimeout=X
    I test the above sample w/ the following URL.
    [http://vshah-nt/servlet/sample] I get a web page that says [Congradulations! You have successfully reached you Porviders Test Page]. Im not sure if this is the page Im suppose to get or not.
    But the next step in the instruction is to Register the Provider. I am assuming they want you to register this on the OTN following site http://portalstudio.oracle.com/servlet/page?_pageid=56,59&_dad=ops&_schema=OPSTUDIO&_mode=3&_ref=20010131013444
    But when I do I get the following errors.
    Provider Creation Failure!
    PRODUCT: wwc
    DOMAIN: wwc
    SUB_DOMAIN: pro
    NAME: reg_provexcp
    CONTEXT: wwerr_api_provider_registry.register_provider
    Location: http://portalstudio.oracle.com/servlet/page?_pageid=70&_dad=ops&_schema=OPSTUDIO&_
    I know this must seem confusing but Im real sure what this portlet is suppose to do. I know there has to be more to it than a congradulations page though.
    How do I register this servlet/portal and what Im i looking for.

    Please let me know from where you downloaded the Oracle HTTP
    server for NT. When I am trying to download 10221_Core_nt.zip

    If you have '10221_Core_nt.zip', can you please send it to me.

  • Portal V2 - java error when registering provider

    Hi,
    (system setup is as follows)
    0. DOWNLOADED Portal V2 (OS = Windows 2000 Professional)
    1. Installed IAS-infrastructure) in directory c:\oracle\ias
    2. Installed IAS-midtier (portal & wireless) in directory c:\oracle\portal

Installed successfully in c:\oracle\pdk (NOTE: All services for instances ias, portal and pdk were started using Oracle Enterprise Manager Website; the OC4J processes were up and running)
    The problem occurs when trying to register a new provider as indicated in:

    Is something wrong with my installation?
    Should I de-install the PDK installed from the Portal V2 Distribution and re-install it with a standalone PDK download and hand configuration of the parameter files?

    Sorry, false alarm - it works OK now.
    The mistake was that while registering the new sample provider, I had entered the name of the new provider in "Service ID", instead of using one of the providers that were available - eg "sample"
    It worked OK when I used "sample"

  • JCO RFC Provider problem

    Hi!
    We are having some problems in 2 PI 7.1 SP7 Development and Project
    systems. Both have the same problem... We cannot see JCO RFC Provider
    connections and we cannot create new JCO RFC connections.
    Our Project system is copy of development and JCO connections are being
    registered on Development causing some problems in proxy connections.
    the problem is that we cannot change the JCO RFC connections on both
    systems.
    If I try to create a new JCO RFC Connection or even a dummy JCO connection it gives the error "The Program ID already exists. Type in an other name."
    These systems are a SAP PI 7.1 upgrade from SAP XI 3.0. In version XI 3.0 the connections were OK.
    In quality Assurance and Production we don't have this problem.
    I've applied the latest AS Java patches but didn't changed the strange behaviour.
    Have any one notice

    In the default trace file we've found something like
    "com.sap.engine.services.jmx.exception.JmxSecurityException: Caller <(>
    <<)>some generated user id> not authorized, required permission missing"activate the UME super user, delete the deleted users, deactivate the UME super user and restart the system.

  • ETW Access is denied when registering provider (wevtutil.exe)

    I´m trying to register a manifest based provider using wevtutil and get the following error:
    **** Warning: Publisher ExampleProvider resources are not accessible.
    So I run wevtutil gp ExampleProvider and get the following message:
    Failed to open metadata for publisher ExampleProvider. Access is denied
    The user account I´m working with have Administrator privilage
    and is part of the groups Event
    Log Readers, Performance
    Log Users, and Performance

    I have located the problem area and it has to do with the channel.
    In the example manifest the channel looks like this:
    <channels>
    <channel name="MyChannel" chid="MyChannel" symbol="MyChannel" type="Debug" enabled="true" message="$(string.ExampleProvider.channel.MyChannel.message)">
    </channel>
    <importChannel name="Application" chid="appchnl">
    </importChannel>
    </channels>
    And when I remove this channel and use <default> in the event I get no warnings, do I not have access to write events to that channel or something (Application)?
    Thanks

    Did you try changing the ownership in safe mode?
    When did this problem (AFAYK) start? Can you think of anything which may have happened to cause it? Have you just started to look at Java? Or was SP3 installed recently? Check your Dr Watson log (from memory: right-click my-compter ~ manage ~ event viewer).
    ... and BTW... wait until you install Vista over the top of XP... Certain files that where exclusively accessible by the old XP Adminstrator are NOT owned by the new Vista Administrator (something about can't change UID's or something, and being opened exclusively during the Vista install) and of course the XP Adminstrator account no longer exists, so the files are verboten, but everything from you virus-scanner to google-desktop-indexer will still try to read them, repeatedly... "... and then Doc, all the little springs came flying out of the box, so I picked them all up (I think), and came to see you... Can you fix it" ;-)

  • ASP Website - Web Config provider problem with EF4 / Sql Server Compact 4.0

  • URGENT: Large web provider problem

    We are running Portal v3.0.9 & JPDKv1 with V1 of the URL Services installed.
    We setup a very large prover.xml with 760 portlets. All the portlets are URL services and they only thing that differs with each portlet is the URL that the XML is retrieved from along with the id, name & description.
    We got the large, 760 portlet, provider working but it was very slow so for testing purposes we reduced the portlet count to the first 30 from the original 760. Everything was working fine at this point. We then decided to up the number to about 100 choosen as needed from the 760. When we refreshed the provider the Portlet content showed 760 portlets. After numerous restarts & provider refreshes the content area still showed 760 portlets. If you would customize or edit a page only the 100 in our curret provider showed but they took a long time to display.
    The strangest part about this for us is that the 760 portlets came back when there were only 100 in the provider.xml and after we had successfully run with just 30 portlets for a few days.
    This is a show stopping error right now and we need to get it fixed ASAP. I haven't tried deleting and re-adding the provider since I would rather fix the problem than find a work around and possibly have it come up again in the futre.
    Any help, suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
    -Eric Dalquist

    Its great hearing about 760 portlets with URL Services.
    Refresh Portlet Repository
    Go To "Display Portlet Repository" portlet and click on "Refresh" in your Portal Content Area Builder. This will take
    some time to refresh the portlet meta data stored with portal.
    Portal needs to read and parse the provider.xml, after which portlet meta data is populated, since you have large
    number of portlets registered with the provider this will be relatively slow [This happens only during registering and
    refreshing the provider]. After which the portlets can be added to page fast.

  • Active Directory provider problem in 11g

    I am having the opposite problem than many others I see setting up Active Directory as the user store for OBIEE 11g. On two of the installations I have done the Active Directory users work but the original weblogic user does not work in OBIEE. It works fine in the WLS console and the FM Enterprise Manager but fails in analytics. The error I'm getting is:
    'weblogic' was authenticated but could not be located within the Identity Store.
    When others were having this problem they had left the default provider's control flag set at "REQUIRED" and not changed it to "SUFFICIENT". But I have done this (and gone back and reset it again) but the error persists. Any thoughts.

    Setting virtualize=true worked. I had tried this before but I think I did what I almost did this time. I almost created the variable virtual instead of virtualize. Thanks. The instructions I followed from Oracle didn't have this step. And I am wondering why it is necessary. The help for the SUFFICIENT setting says:
    A SUFFICIENT value specifies this LoginModule need not succeed. If it does succeed, control is returned to the application. If it fails and other Authentication providers are configured, authentication proceeds down the LoginModule list.
    Before I set this. yes, my AD users could login to EM and the WLS console. Other than this the AD integration has worked well.

  • Data provider problem in custom item renderer

    I have a complex, custom item renderer for a list. I add
    items that I extracted from an xml to the data provider using the
    IList interface. But when displaying the list, the items are all
    screwed up. Each rendered item has some parts which are initialized
    as different components depending on the values from the xml. This
    initialization is called in the item renderer for the
    creationComplete event.
    The weird thing is that when I output the dataProvider to
    check its values, some of the items have internal uids sometimes
    and sometimes they don't. If I output the dataProvider right after
    I add the items to it, none of them get internal uids. But from the
    initialize method, some of them do and some don't.
    To make things weirder, sometimes, as I scroll up and down
    the list, the dynamic components get all switched up. I'm either
    having a problem with internal uids or with the creation policies
    for lists. Or it's probably some simpler mistake I have yet to see.
    Anyone have any idea where the problem could lie? Any help is
    greatly appreciated.

    Any successful render must:
    1) override the set data property of the component
    Further, best practice is to store any data you need in the
    override set data(), and call invalidateProperties(). Then do the
    actual work in an override commitProperties() function.
    The framework is smart about when to call commitProperties
    efficiently. set data() gets called much more often.

    I hope you can help me !

    Ok i have solved the Problem by myself, the solution is to do :
    -rsaKeyPairGenerator = KeyPairGenerator.getInstance("RSA");
    but the cipher musst be
    - cipher = Cipher.getInstance("RSA/ECB/PKCS#1");
    in the Java-Security all Providers have to disable be adding a # bevor each line
    only this line has to put in
    - security.provider.1=sun.security.provider.Sun
    and last you have to load the Flexi Core and the cryptix Providers dynamicly
    -Security.addProvider(new de.flexiprovider.core.FlexiCoreProvider());
    -Security.addProvider(new cryptix.jce.provider.CryptixCrypto());
