  • Jabber for Windows Registration Issue

I have been facing issue with J4W registration and display error "no connection to server". Following is the version detail:-
    Version CUCM and IM&P---> (10.5.2)
    On-Premises login
During analysis, i found 2 things in logs:-
1). Unable to download jabber-config.xml file (Download of TFTP File failed for server ) //// all the other xml files are succesfully downloaded which may indicate that there is an absence of jabber-config.xml file.
    2). While signing into presence "OnLoginError: (data=0) LERR_JABBER_UNREACHABLE <16>: "

I tried to change the IP address to FQDN under System---> Server, but after that the connection is lost between CUCM and IM&P.
Attached is the log file and snapshot of IM&P.

    Nishant,
Sorry for the late reply. You may well have resolved this  by now, if you have can I suggest that you update the post with the resolution so others may benefit.
Looking at the logs, I can see that Jabber is trying to login to the IMP server below, but its returning server unreachable error.
Signing into Presence Server. Server: 162.20.10.30, login mode: ON_PREM, result: 0

    [IMPStackCap::Login::OnLoginError] - ****************************************************************

  • EBS Registration issue

    Hi All,
We have done the sso registration successfully , but sso login functionality is not working as expected.
Please provide some inputs to fix this issue.
    Environment
We are on 11gR2 database for both OID and EBS 11.5.10.2.
OID version 11g on web logic server.
    SSO server version is 10.1.4.3
In the front end it is showing the below error while login using the SSO URL.
"The Single Sign-On server registration is invalid. Please contact the System Administrator. "
When we run the below query in the backend (EBS R11 DB) it suppose to get the records without any error or it is suppose to show just “no rows selected”, but I got the “ORA-29275” error in the backend
    Query: select FROM FND_USER_PREFERENCES WHERE USER_NAME = '#INTERNAL'*
and I ran the FND Log Query, found these messages..."END with errors for getSSOVerion"
    Query--> select * from fnd_log_messages where module like '%fnd.sso.FNDSSOLoginRedirect%' order by timestamp desc;
    out put:
    MODULE,LOG_LEVEL,MESSAGE_TEXT,SESSION_ID,USER_ID,TIMESTAMP,LOG_SEQUENCE,ENCODED,NODE,NODE_IP_ADDRESS,PROCESS_ID,JVM_ID,THREAD_ID,AUDSID,DB_INSTANCE,TRANSACTION_CONTEXT_ID

I have run the below mentioned steps to register the sso with EBS R11.
    Registration Steps
    txkrun.pl -script=SetSSOReg -registersso=Yes
txkrun.pl -script=SetSSOReg -registeroid=Yes -provtmp=$FND_TOP/admin/template/ProvBiDiNoCreation.tmp (Here basically I don’t want provision/create the users by default in EBS or OID). Even I tried default option its not working ( by default it provision /create in both places EBS and OID)

  • Process memory leak issue  solaris 10

I have a process which has a memory leak issue. I ran this process on solaris 9 as well as solaris 10. When i run prstat command i get a different output for two. Funny thing is that memory leak noted in solaris 10 is much more than that in solaris 9 e.g if it is 1 MB in solaris 9 then its 4 MB in solaris 10.
What can be possibly causing this ? Is this related to kernel implementation on diff solaris ?

  • Install issue Solaris 10 9/10 x86

I have been trying to install solaris 10 on a PC(x86) at house. The disk boots into the install/configure or System Identication. I go though all the steps and at the end just as the PC is to reboot I get the following error.
ERROR: The disc you inserted is not a solaris OS CD/DVD
I downloaded the ISO from here:
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/server-storage/solaris/downloads/index.html
I downloaded the file using firefox on my MacBook and burned the ISO using the DISK Utility program. The disk boots from disk the first time but not the second time.
I also don't know what to but on the screen when it asks me for the oracle Support Information. I unchecked this.
The program also asks what my Proxy server host name is and port number, Http proxy User name: http Proxy password: why is it asking me these things. I have installed many versions of Solaris and none have ever asked for this info so I left it blank. The page says to goto www.oracle.com/goto/solarisautoreg. I have gone there and can not find the info. I think maybe the program is hanging up here for some reason. I know that on patches you have to put in a code some times but It is usable in the install file and there is no code I can find.
Anyway please give me some help.

    I found the answer.
The CD/DVD ROM was the issue. The drive was a CD-RW/DVD drive, so it could read DVD and record on CD. The Disk I was using was a DVD -RW. I guess the initial start up was in a CD format and when the tried to do the 2nd part the drive could not read the DVD -rw format on the disk. Anyway I changed out the drive with a newer one and now it seams to be working.

  • MetaDB issue - Solaris 10u8 x86

    Hi all,
I am running Solaris 10u8 x86 on VMware.
I am trying to configure SVM in my virtual machine and meet the following issue about metadb.
I have 01 HDD which contains Solaris OS, swap... and 03 more HDDs for holding data. I did not do anything on the first HDD. The other 3 HDDs will be configured to be a RAID 5 volume using SVM. (I will call these 3 HDDs disk2, disk3 and disk4)
On the disk2, I created slice 7 from cylinder 3 to cylinder 10 for holding metadb. I also created the slice 0 from cylinder 11 to the end of the HDD for to be a component of the RAID 5 volume. (In this case, the location of the slice 7 for metadb is *"before"* the location of the slice 0)
The VTOC of the disk2 is applied to the disk3 and disk4.
After dividing the 3 HDDs into slices. I created the metadb on the slice 7 of the 3 HDDs. After that I created the RAID 5 volume using the slice 0 of the 3 HDDs. However, after I reboot the machine, it said that my RAID 5 volume is not exist. the metadb command showed that there is no metadb.
I tried to test another case. On the disk2, I created slice 7 from cylinder 1000 to cylinder 1200 for holding metadb. I also created the slice 0 from cylinder 1 to cylinder 999 for to be a component of the RAID 5 volume. (In this case, the location of the slice 7 for metadb is *"after"* the location of the slice 0)
After dividing the 3 HDDs into slices. I created the metadb on the slice 7 of the 3 HDDs. After that I created the RAID 5 volume using the slice 0 of the 3 HDDs. After rebooting the system everything went fine. My metadb is exist and the RAID 5 volume can be mounted and used.
I cannot find any reason why I could not place the slice 7 (which holds metadb) *"before"* the other slices which used to hold data.
Please help me to explain this case.
    Thanks and BR.
    HuyNQ.

Solaris makes one of the partitions active , Take a note of that.
Once you are done tinkering with the partitions/ loading say Windows/Linux follow this step.
Grab any Linux distro's boot CD and start the rescue mode. type grub and do this
root (hd0, X) X the partiton that has linux partition minus 1
setup (hd0)now open fdisk and change the label of the Solaris Partition to 80.
Add an entry in /boot/grub/menu.1st on the same lines like Windows, If unsure google .
    Reboot and you are done.
Never I said never make any other partition active other than what Solaris installation does for you.

  • Jumpstart: Disable user registration in Solaris 10 x86 8/07

Earlier Solaris version let you disable the user registration screen by adding DISABLE=1 to /etc/default/solregis or not installing SUNWsregu. That doesn't work with Solaris 10 x86 8/07. There is no SUNWsregu package.
    Can this still be disabled?

Confirmed: I just jumpstarted with Solaris 10 x86 (10/09) AKA Update 8, and touched the .nvreg file into existence with a finish script. The system no longer prompts to register at first login.
    Finish script code snipit:
    if [ -d ${BASEDIR}/usr/lib/breg/data ]; then
    touch ${BASEDIR}/usr/lib/breg/data/.nvreg

  • Retail Execution Application Device Registration Issues

    Hello Community,
I am having issues registering the Retail Execution application with a user in CRM.
I am testing with an iOS device where I downloaded the application from the app store and an Android device where I got the APK from the SAP marketplace.
The guide I am following is the Administrator's Guide SAP Retail Execution 3.2.0.
There are a few issues i've come across which I think might be contributing to my devices not enrolling.
I've completed the setup of the environment till the point in the documentation for Data Change Notification where I need to create an RFC connection to the SMP server.
I entered the IP address for the SUP server with the port as 80. Is port 80 correct?
The username ive setup as supAdmin@Admin with the password.
When I test the connection I get a : Status HTTP Response 404 error.
Another issue I have is that in the documentation under the section enrolling a device using the Relay Server, all the fields are referring to SMP username, SMP Farm ID, SMP Activation code and so on. The connection details I have used in other apps are as follows:
    Server : <ip of relay server>
Farm : Relay server Farm ID
Username : jcommerford@crm           (CRM login ID @ security configuration - crm is my HTTPAuthentication security configuration I created in SUP)
    password :
Port : 80 (relay server port)
    URL suffix : leave blank
Domain : The new domain I created in SUP and where the Rex MBO is deployed.
So it isnt making sense as to what details need to go into here.
    Lastly...
What is the absolute minimum setup of the CRM system and SUP to register a user through the relay server?
I would like to comment that I havnt performed the initial download of Master Data using DCN but didnt think this was needed to enrol a device. Other than that the guide was followed and configuration done according to it.
Let me know if anymore information is needed as I am very stressed to get this issue sorted out.
    Thank you
    Jared

    Hello Jared
Has the registration worked without the Relay server setup? I would suggest you try that first.
I am assuming you already set the SM59 destinations for CRM to SMP and trusted RFC to corresponding ECC (but this is not necessarily the issue, because the registration is failing).
Please confirm that the RFC Destination is set as follows (use the supAdmin user on the Logon & Security page)
Check the security provider on SMP (your's may be different but I am using the following for POC and it works)
Could you please confirm if the REX package was deployed correctly on the SMP server by selecting the connection pools for both CRM and ECC for corresponding MBO's
Please post a log of the SMP server once you switch to direct registration to SMP (without relay server)
    Thanks
    Raza.

duplicate question - can I gently mention a point? Whilst we naturally
understand that you may need information/help in a hurry, asking the
same question in multiple forums dilutes the answers you get, and makes
more work for those of us who have to read them; it would help if you
    could avoid this in future.

duplicate question - can I gently mention a point? Whilst we naturally
understand that you may need information/help in a hurry, asking the
same question in multiple forums dilutes the answers you get, and makes
more work for those of us who have to read them; it would help if you
    could avoid this in future.

  • Strange Cluster Startup Timing Issues (Solaris 2.7)

When we start up our admin server for our WLS 6.0sp1 cluster (running on Solaris
2.7), then try to start all the managed servers approximately simultaneously,
the managed servers come up apparently normally (no errors in the logs) but no
              EJBs ever deploy.
If we follow the same steps, but wait until each server is all the way up before
starting the next, everything is fine.
Has anyone else run into this?

Hmm, I wonder if they "cannot" or "will not" supply you the patch...
Oh well, hopefully this won't get me in trouble! Here's the patch, stick it in your weblogic /lib
directory or in CLASSPATH, and add the following to your startup command:
              -Dweblogic.rmi.queuesize=n
And if you are having problems, don't tell BEA who gave this to you! :-)

  • Dell 3100cn print registration issues

I have been having issues with my Dell 3100cn printing on cover stock.
When using my iMac, it has almost random results of page registration. This shift changes when printing from indesign, illustrator, to acrobat. & sometimes from print to print. It is not extremely off the page, but centering on a page even remotely close tends to be .25-.5 in shift.
I have all new and appropriate drivers and print through the MPF, but it seems to print fine from our pc 90% of the time. It prints regular stock fine. Any ideas?

Some printers provide a setting for selecting heavy stocks from the manual feed and cassettes. When you load the paper into the Dell, is there something on the control panel that lets you select the paper type or weight?
If not, check the driver. Under one of the paper settings there may be the option to select heavy paper instead of plain, which can adjust the speed of the feed and therefore the accuracy from pickup. Sometimes it also increases the temperature on the fuser (fixing unit) slightly to improve the toner bonding to the paper.
I would also check the specs for the printer. If you are using a paper stock that is outside the supported weight then no setting is going to help long term.

  • Registration Issues - Can you help?

Bought a new computer for home use. Bought CS6 Design and Web Premium. Computer delivered to my personal business work office. I installed software on the computer and activated/registered as best I can tell the CS6 software using SN. Brought the computer home (intending to keep viruses etc off it by limiting its time on-line) so I am not going to set up Email accounts on this computer. But everytime (each day) I try to open Ai, PS or InD and it asks me to register again. Says 00 days remaimning on trial. But I can enter SN and use programs. On-line chat at Adobe says it is registered to my one Email account but is clearly not recognizing my registration when I operate from this unit. Is this an issue that can be dealt with. I hope to christ that I do not have to enter my SN ever time I want to use this software.
Thanks and respond please to [email address removed] as my old computer here does have Email access.

CS6 applications in Creative Cloud unexpectedly revert to trial mode
