Registration of time and invoicing

Hi there,
We use SBO to manage a small consultancy firm where the only thing we sell is time i.e. hours of consulting. We sometimes subcontract freelancers and resell their services, but all our invoicing is based on the amount of hours of consulting that we have delivered to the customer.
I am very new to the features of SBO, but I was wondering if there is a possibility to add a web interface to SBO allowing consultants to enter time into the system directly so that the invoicing process can be simplified.
Today we enter time into an Excel-spreadsheet, send it to our accountant, who the enters this into SBO. This is a rather cumbersome and error prone process.
There must be a better way of doing things, right?
Rgds.
Anders

Hi Anders,
We (Serac) have developed an "Addon" to SBO for entering hours through a web interface.
please visit our website http://www.serac.com and choose
"Time & Material XML" link on the right for more information and the information leaflet.

The Facetime can not process the registration of my Apple ID, I've tied several times, and it always says " The server encountered an error processing registration."

I had this problem and also was unable to directly access the App store and could not get iMessage to work. I disabled the firewall protection on my third party virus protection software, rebooted and was good to go. iMessage also works and I can directly access the App store, rather than enter via iTunes.

  • Different currency exchange rate at time of sales order and invoicing

    Hi Friends,
Actually,we are facing a crucial problem in Export where we would like to have the current currency exchange rate to be applicable both at excise and commercial invoice.
    Regards,
    Praveen

    Hi Ankur,
Thanks for your reply. But our problem is sales order, exchange rates are defined with M type in OB08 as u have said. However when the periods are different for order entry and invoice generation we are facing the following problem.Orders are at old exchange rates and excise invoice is getting generated at current exchange rate. This is resulting in value difference between commercial invoice and excise invoice.
    Please help.

  • Payment budget is getting updated at the time of Invoice

    Hi,
I have a peculiar problem in Funds Management. As per the client requirement payment has to made in split i.e. 90% and 10% against the invoice amount raised. But, payment budget is getting updated at the time of invoice itself when i use the profile of 00350.
It is observed that at the time of payment, the payment budget is not getting updated and updating at the time of invoice creation itself. So, when we developed customised report, we had given payment budget filed to know the current month expenditure. But the problem is as per cleint requiremnt, the payment budget has to update at the time of payment but not at the time of invoice creation.
Please advice me is there any way to solve this problem.
    Thanks & Regards
    Vijaybhaskar

This is standard; payment budget is updated during the invoice issue. What is done with the payments is 'payment transfer'; it could be either manual (via FMF0) or automatic - depending on your settings in FM. In your reprots you can define to see only 'cleared' invoices in FM, i.e. those, for which the payment transfer has been completed. However, the availability control will be still performed already on invoice phase.
    Hi,
As suggested by you i have done automatci payment ransfer in OF29 and made value type 54 as stastical and 57 value type for payments.
As you suggested "In your reprots you can define to see only 'cleared' invoices in FM, i.e. those, for which the payment transfer has been completed.".
Please expalin where can i look clered invoices in FM, .e. those, for which the payment transfer has been completed."

  • Calculate interest on Security Deposit at the time of invoice?

    Dear All,
I have a requirement of calculating interest at the time of invoicing.
I did the following configuration in spro:
SAP Utilities ->Invoicing->Invoice Processing->Define Control for additional invoicing functions
I clicked at the Int:Cash Security Deposit button.
But when I execute transaction EA10 (Creating invoice) , interest is not calculated on the security deposit.
All the configuration w.r.t interest calculation is correct.
Please let me know if anybody has any solution to this.
    Warm regards,
    Rahul

    Hi Rahul,
To calculate interest on any line item, we have to assign a interest key to it.
Take the FICA document created for Security Deposit and open it into FPE2 and goto change document:Item and then click on Tab Dunn. Data. Provide the interest key over here and then RUN your invoicing.

    Gaurav.

  • RIDICULOUS customer support and invoice due to fraud - Still not resolved since April

I am posting my story from the past 9 and a half months here only because I’ve tried many many other ways to get in touch with Verizon about issuing a billing credit but have received TERRIBLE customer service during this entire time.  I am now trying any other means possible to get in touch with the proper people at Verizon to get this matter resolved.  It is a very long story, but this has been our life since April.
Beginning in April, we received a couple emails stating that there had been a change on our wireless account.  Thinking nothing of it, we continued on until the three phones on our account started getting shut off.  Calling Verizon, they stated that there were indeed changes made to our account and they shut our phones off to prevent any future changes.  We had to cancel our online MyVerizon account to prevent hacking into the account to make changes.
Weeks went by with our phones being turned off for days at a time and the fraudulent international minutes starting to rack up.  Every time we called customer service, they would ask us if we were making the hundreds and hundreds of minutes of calls to and from Jamaica and Cuba – no, we only make less than 50 minutes of calls a month. They would eventually turn our phones back on but it would never be fixed.
After many weeks, approximately 30-40 hours spent on the phone with tech and customer support, wasting a day of vacation to work on this problem in a Verizon store, approximately 5,000 fraudulent international minutes, and a $10,725.48 bill for April (YES almost 11 THOUSAND DOLLARS), the problem was finally solved.  The final outcome was to credit back all the fraudulent charges on the next bill, and I demanded 6 months free service because of all the inconvenience we had to deal with.
During the next bill, there was a credit balance of $1,029.44, which made sense to me because our monthly bill is between $150-$160, plus about half a month of having our phones shut off.  After our normal monthly charges, the May bill had a credit balance of $871.55.  The June bill was fine.  The July bill was fine.  The August bill was fine – a $414.26 credit balance with the words “DO NOT PAY” next to the balance.  The September bill is when it hit the fan again.
On the September bill, there were $986.02 of “Other Charges”, mainly state sales tax and the Federal Universal Surcharge.  $838.08 of it was specifically on the one line that only has a $9.99 monthly access charge.  Does $838.08 of sales taxes and surcharges on a $9.99 monthly charge make sense to anyone?
I called on October 10th– the person who I spoke with said they would ‘research’ it and call me back by 4:00 that day.  Never did.  I called back on 10/22 said they agreed with me that $986.02 of “Other Charges” does not make sense.  He was able to credit back those charges, but they would not appear until the next bill and it should still leave a $261.10 credit balance.
Then the October bill came in the mail with no credits issued. I called on 11/12 and found out that the supervisor from the last person who said the amounts should be credited back would call me by 11/14, but they would push them to call me on the 12th instead.  Never called back on the 12th.  Never called back on the 14th.  That’s when our phones were shut off again because of non-payment.
I called back on 11/14 and was transferred from customer service, to fraud, to customer service, to billing, to fraud, to financial services, to customer service.  Finally the last person I spoke with said it was a billing issue and she would fill out the necessary paperwork to get the charges reversed and our phones turned back on. The credits should appear on our next bill (where have I heard that before).  And she even gave me her email address so we could follow up with each other.
The November bill had arrived and on it there was now a $1,059.65 balance due!  Again, messages were received demanding payment.  I reached out to the last person via email on November 25, November 26, November 27, December 4, December 9, and December 16.  I am not surprised that I have never received a response from them.
I called customer service on 12/3 where the person submitted all my information into fraud to have them investigate.  She then gave me a ticket number and stated I needed to call fraud. I called fraud on the afternoon of 12/3 and was on hold for over an hour with no one picking up.  I called back on 12/4 and fraud stated they cannot give billing credits, so I was transferred to financial services, who said they only accept payments.  Then I was transferred to customer service.  That person agreed that something was wrong and would ‘research’ it and call me back the next day –they never did.
I called customer service on 12/10 and they said it is a fraud issue – that the sales taxes from the $10,725.48 bill back in April finally caught up and were billed on September’s bill.  I asked why I would be liable for sales taxes on an invoice I was NOT liable for? They said since it was a fraud issue, I would have to speak with them.  So I was then transferred to fraud, who said they would need to research it and call me back later in the day.  Of course, they never called back.
Once our phones were shut off again for non-payment, I called back on 12/11, demanding to speak with a supervisor of a department who could issue credits.  I again was transferred 9 times between customer service, financial services, billing, fraud, and back again.  I did learn that the bill was so high because we haven’t made any payments in the months after the fraud.  I said that we were promised 6 months free, and there was a credit balance, and that our bills, with the credit balance, said “DO NOT PAY” on them, why would I make a payment?  No one could explain, other that our bill is so high because we haven’t made a payment.
Finally, on 12/11 I was able to speak with a young woman who again said she submitted paperwork to the billing department to have them look at it. The process would take 24-48 hours. She also gave me her email address, and she’s been very responsive to my inquiries regarding the status, even though there have been no status updates.  On 12/16 I spoke with her again and she said she hasn’t heard back yet, but at least she was able to turn our phones back on.
On 12/16, my wife visited a Verizon store in hopes that an actual human may be able to help.  The representative in the store called customer service and received the same run around and was bounced around to several different people.  My wife then got on the line with a helpful customer service rep (I believe the same rep who has at least been responding to my emails, although she cannot resolve the matter).  This woman at least found out that the original over credit was for international taxes that would come at a later, unknown date.  This was never told to us and thought it was the 6 month credit of service we demanded and hence, have not paid Verizon since the credit was applied in May (with the words "DO NOT PAY" written on each bill).  My wife then spoke with someone in "customer relations" who offered only $150 to resolve this $1,000 issue.  After stating we wouldn’t accept anything less than the full amount, she then gave the name and number of a customer service manager.  The manager returned my wife's call promptly but argued that nothing could be done because we have not paid our bill in 7 months.  She would not listen to history of what has taken place and would not accept our offer to pay December's bill for our normal monthly service and then continue forward.  That phone call was disconnected at 4:30PM EST on 12/16.  Four voicemails have been left for her and as of 12/17 at 1:30PM EST, none have been returned and the "manager's" name is no longer on the voicemail box for that phone number, when it was on the first attempts to reach her.
We are giving until 12/20 to settle this issue.  I see two options:  1.)We will take our money and sign up with a different carrier. Verizon will not receive payment for the amount that is said to be owed, since we do not owe this money, and we will go to the state attorney general.  Or 2.) Our account can be credited, this issue settled, and we will continue to be happy customers, who pay on time, in full, every month, dating back more than a decade.  This, again, has taken an astronomical amount of time and energy to try and settle this.  We really should be receiving another 6 months free service.

Take verizon to small claims court, do it now. Pay the small court fee and take them to court.
You must also write a certified return receipt letter to Verizon's remittance address and dispute all the amounts in question.
Get all your paperwork together and names places and dates of contact, see the judge. Its that simple.
Don't even bother jumping through hoops with verizon wireless. But do as I told you to protect yourself and your rights and your credit. Verizon has to answer court summons. Let them come to you. Let them contact you and settle.
I doubt you will get six months free. But hey it doesn't hurt to try.
    Good Luck

  • Profit Center derivation at the time of invoicing

    Hi,
Business requirement is to map fixed profit center for combination of Main and Sub transactions at the time of invoicing.
As per my understanding, to derive fixed values for main and sub transactions, cokey needs to be mapped at EK02 which will in turn pick up values from table TECOD and TFKCOD as per case.
Values are also flowing correctly in FM ISU_CODATA_DETERMINE and FKK_CODATA_DETERMINE.
But actual results are not matching with expected values.
For Profit center derivation, reference SAP notes direct to event 0140 and 1102 both of which are not getting triggered while invoicing.
Moreover, I have also tried maintaining values in posting area 2610 but still no change.
So could you kindly provide your expert opinion as to how to achieve subject requirement.
    Regards,
    Paresh

    Hi,
    Finally found solution through EK02.
Here is basic crux for derivation at the time of invoicing.
Profit center gets derived through Contract (through COKEY). If this value needs overriding then field NOCRCT (should be X) with proper values in COKEY at EK02 level.
Moreover, to ensure that it is working always go for full reversal (EA13) and then do rebilling and reinvoicing.
Hope it helps to others who may have to face such requirement from business.

  • F110 - Clearing of Credit Memo and Invoice Document in Customer account

    Hi,
The scenario is, the customer is posted with invoice amount of 3000 and a credit memo of 500. Instead of clearing this manually using f-32 can we use F110 to clear the debit and credit with in a customer account which must create a residual document for the differential (2500)
please advice,  and the steps to be performed to achieve the scenario.

    Hi All,
we have activated Business Function " LOG_MMFI_P2P " and Switch "MM_SFWS_CI_01 - Enhanced Functions in EhP4 for Applications in Materials Management" using Tcode SFW1. And followed all instructions documented when activated Business Function " LOG_MMFI_P2P ". The Busines function is activated to order to clear downpayments at the time of invoice posting in MIRO or MIR7. When I post the invoice in MIRO system is posting 2 indepedent document as below.
    1. Invoice posting,
    Dr GR/IR
    Cr Vendor
    2. Downpayment Recovery
    Dr Vendor
Cr Vendor with SP GL Indicator "C"
My point is, as per the link http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/EN/48/b42c22e8603095e10000000a421937/frameset.htm, it says "You can use the Down Payment Clearing function to clear down payments that you have posted with reference to a purchase order without going to the relevant financial accounting transactions, directly in logistics invoice verification."
But, in my case, the system is not clearing the downpayment but instead is just posting a Credit memo account entry with SP GL indicator (refer to th Downpayment Entry).
Please advice if SAP is designed to clear the downpayment in LIV or just to post the downpayment recovery entry.
If advice on any corrections to be applied.
    Best regards

  • Different Tax condition records picked on sales order and invoice

    Dear Expert,
I have a scenario where the goods supply from plant to different country sales organization customer. it is a n export order.
. sales order has been processed with ship to address in Portugal. We did enter end user VATnumber on the ship to customer. When you look under conditions the MWST is 0.00 which means VAT will not be invoiced.
while creating the order MWST condition calculated correctly by using the export access sequence, but when creating the invoice w r t sales order i am getting the domestic tax access sequence record.
in my case it is wrong, the same sales order MWST condition amount needs to be copied to invoice as well.
after going to condition tab of that billing document, select MWST and click on "Condition Record" I found below different values in sd order conditions and invoice conditions:
    invoice:
    SD-Order:
Can you kindly help me on this? :-)
    Regards,
    Yashar

Ideally, you should have a different pricing procedure for domestic and exports and I am not sure, why you have not created one more pricing procedure for exports.
Coming to your query, it seems, the issue is VAT registration number in which case, have a look at the following notes:-
Note  371764 - VAT registration number: Destination country
Note 15244 - Incorrect VAT amount is displayed
    Note 148505 - VAT registrtn.no.fr.ship-to & n.fr.sold-to party

  • Payment document reversal at the time of invoice reversal

    Hi,
We are facing a problem of payment document getting reversed at the time of invoice reversal in FICA in IS-U. We had raised a query with SAP twice and they had asked fro two notes to be applied. But still it is not working. Has anybody faced such a problem in IS-U or can anybody suggest any solution for this.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Purab Shah

    Hi,
Thanks for your reply. The user is using the t-code EABICO for reversing the invoice which is resulting in the reversal of the payment document which should not happen as the clearing document has not been reset. SAP had instructed the notes 920467 & 965639 to be applied but inspite of applying the notes the problem still persists. The effects of the problem are:
    1) the customer does not get tge credit of the payments he has made.
    2) due to reversal bank reconciliation is not possible.
    Kindly advise.
    Thanks,
    Purab

  • PRD account different between good entry and invoice entry

    Hi all
I have a company with purchase account posting active,  with the posting method "at clearing account amount". In the good entry the PRD account is of "calculation" type (not balance sheet relevant) like the stock account and the offsetting purchase account ; the total sum of  these three them is 0 (it is a must, otherwise I shall do a false in balance).
But in the invoic receipt I have only three lines: vendor,GR/IR account and PRD, so I cannot use the same account I have in good entry because the GR\IR is a Balance relevant account, so the PRD must be also.
No idea about how I can force a different account for the PRD in invoice receipt?
    thanks
    Davide

    Hi
Working a standard price can happen if the invoice price is different from that of purchase order. SAP register the variance in GR a first time between the standard value of product and PO value, and after a delta in IR corresponding the eventual difference between the PO value and Invoice value.

  • Relation between GL Account and Invoice?

    Hi Experts,
I am working with the FI reports for the first time and I do not have any idea on FI functional flow. I have some basic questions like
What is the Relation between GL Account and Invoice?
When will an Invoice be posted into BKPF, BSEG, BSAD, BSID, BSAK and BSIK? Is there any field in these tables which gives the Invoice number against which a GL Account is created?
For example if I want to calculate " no of vendor invoices without PO how can I do that"? How can I know what are vendor invoices created against a PO or without PO?
Thanks for any help in advance and I am bound to reward points.
    Sri

<b>What is the Relation between GL Account and Invoice?</b>
SAP's Glossary for GL Account is
"A structure that records value movements in a company code and represents the G/L account items in a chart of accounts.
A G/L account has transaction figures that record changes to the account during a posting period. These figures are totals that are used for G/L reporting."
In accountancy, an account is a label used for recording and reporting a quantity of almost anything. For example when a company pays salary to its staff, They debit Salary account. This is to identify what is the nature of an expense.
An invoice is a message to the buyer of goods or services that contains, among other things, Name of the goods or services, Quantity sent, & Remuneration due.
Invoice is also a SD document used to charge a customer for a delivery of goods or for services rendered.
<b>When will an Invoice be posted into BKPF, BSEG, BSAD, BSID, BSAK and BSIK? Is there any field in these tables which gives the Invoice number against which a GL Account is created?</b>
If it were a vendor invoice. (i.e you purchase items or service and recieve invoice)
Invoice get posted to the tables once someone makes a Logistics Invoice verification through t-code MIRO etc. The teble RBKP gets the first posting.
If it were your own invoice to your customers, then VBAK and VBAP get the posting.  The connectivity of tables are available in http://www.erpgenie.com/abap/tables.htm As far as SAP is concerned an invoice is a document, so you can only trace invoice as a document number, field name is usually BELNR. Even if a vendor invoice arrive, an internal invoice number is generated where the vendor invoice is entered only as a reference field. This is because, each vendor can have inovices of different size and pattern.
<b>How can I know what are vendor invoices created against a PO or without PO?</b>
For a purchase order you can find in table EKBE for BEWTP = Q any invoice document.
