Registration Page for External Candidate Error

Hi,
I am trying to register a external candidate through WD page.The Page does not register candidate and does not throw any error in WD page or at Backend .
If the entry is wrong it does give error message for password & email.
Kindly let me know if there is something missing.
Also do let me know how to debugg this page .I tried Abap workbench and the WD Application for this page and by putting
external Breakpoint.Still it does not hit it.

Error when loggong on for external ID "": Error during SAML 2.0 logon

I'm getting be below error when trying to use SAML SSO for a ABAP Webdynpro page on a NW 7.4 system. When I access the page, it redirects to the identity provider, comes back to the page and it shows the logon page. I'm looking for any ideas of things I could look at.

I have updated the service to use alternate logon procedure and added the handler CL_HTTP_EXT_SAML20
I have added the identity provider through transaction SAML2, but it does not seem to be working.

Disable duplicate email check for external candidate registration

Hi,
I am working with eRecruitment 6.0 and I would like to disable the duplicate email check on the external candidate registration page. Has anyone done this before? I have chased the code down to where it check for correct email syntax but I can't find where it does the duplicate email check. I debugged to where I was starting to see BP type function modules and bapis but I still can't find the check. I just want to turn it off for testing then turn it back on and test more. I have searched OSS and SDN and still no answers. I thought about using an enhancement point to 'ignore' the message but by the point the system has already decided not to create the user so ignoring the message is a mute point.
Anyone been down this road and can point me in the right direction that would be greatly appreciated.

Ok a small 'enhancement' to CL_HRRCF_ADDRESS_SERVICE->IS_EMAIL_UNIQUE has done the trick. Not exactly a best practice but will get me through this testing. NO this will not be going to production. This is strictly a test.

Generate HTTPS url for external candidate

I have tried that earlier but i got this error :
An error occurred during a connection to sapboe1.XYZ.com:8004.
SSL received a record that exceeded the maximum permissible length.
(Error code: ssl_error_rx_record_too_long)
With Http page opens fine and works too but not after i change protocol to https. In the hrrcf_a_startpage_ext_cand service of
WebDynpro under Logon Data Tab is Standard & Internet User with Procedure : standard.
Under Error pages the Protocol is :Logon Via Https.

Junk entries in the system for external candidate

Hi, In our erecruitment sytem there are few junk entries in the system havning starting date as 00.00.0000. Can someone please help in tracing the possible reason behind this.

inconsistent entries can result from misconfiguration in the system or from errors in the connection. But without more information it is very difficult to trace things down.
In which field is the empty date (there are quite a lot of dates in e-rec)? Are the candidates overall consistent (NA, CP, US, BP) are it candidates with or without application?
Furthermore checking for errors in SLG1 and ST22 would be important. A very annoying part of e-recruiting is the horrible support for browser platforms other than IE and Firefox. If you have a lot of applicants using Safari a.o. you will have a lot of trouble. They cause a lot of short dumps and can create inconsistent data when they thereby.

My requirement is to have company logo on login Screen.
When an external user tries to sign-in in the career page then a login screen popup. In that company logo has be inserted.
Please help me where/which/how to get that done.

Where is a registration page for a new subscriber?

I am new to Mozilla support & near as I can recall nor in any of my hand kept WEB site records do I have
anything referring to you folks. This evening when I called up Firefox to use on the WEB, I was told on
the screen that I had some up dates coming. After the updates were finished a new page about Mozilla
& Firefox support. However, it never showed how a newbee should register. Although there is a
"Register or Sign in" phrase near the top of the page, clicking on it does nothing. How do I register.?

You've already created an account at Mozilla Support (support.mozilla.org). We don't have a Register link in the forum as the forum makes users go through the [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/new Ask a Question link] then when it's time to create the thread, the forum prompts the user to create an account in order to post the question.
Are you sure you're not talking about Mozilla site for add-ons (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/)? That site has register and log in at the top. If that is the page, you'll need to contact them on the forum. (https://forums.mozilla.org/addons/)

E-Recruiting: New Text element on WebDynpro page of External candidate

I have a requirement to add a new text element on the personal data tab of the candidate profile. I have tried this through application configuration method, but the existing Text elements are not sufficient to accomodate the text matter that i need to insert.
I want some additional elements where they can accomodate my new text.
Is there a possibility of doing this without making the compeonent a 'Z' one?

Yes there is one possibility to do this .After you accomodated the new text thru the component config and
if you are still left with the text which needs to be added then create an enhancement and add an text element and bind it to the attribute just below the text element required and in the modify view method of the view bind the text to the attribute.
All this has to be done thru enhancement in the std component.

E-recruiting - Customizing external candidate start page with a new start p

Hi ,
I require some inputs from you on creation of new start page for external candidate.
I have a requirement to hide Age / Gender fields in the Personal data tab of the external candidate application wizard in the external candidate start page.
I Created a new start page with I.D "9001" and using customized context i was able to hide the Age and Gender fields. The URL using the customized context looked like below;

The external candidate start page requires the following services assignment to a service user;
hrrcf_apply_ext: Apply with Reference Code (Non Registered Candidate)
hrrcf_cand_reg: External Candidate, Registration
hrrcf_unrg_srch: Non Registered Candidate, Job Search
The service user requires SAP standard role u201CRCF_EXTERNAL_CANDIDATEu201D to provide access to any external candidate to do a job search and register. This role in standard would have application object u201C0002u201D u2013 Standard external candidate start page I.D which would provide access to the start page.
We have cloned the role to include the customized application object u201C9001u201D and have assigned it to the service user.
But even after doing this i get an error message when trying to execute the URL in IE which reads "You do not have the required authorisation to use this start page"
Iam not sure if iam missing anything on the authorisation part. Please advise.

it seems you are mixing some things up. The service user is only for all parts of the e-recruiting which are accessable without logging in. This includes services linked to the unregistered search and the registration (where the applicant creates his candidate / his login). The service user is no candidate and has a special role (must not have a candidate object or the candidate authorization role).
As soon as someone logs into the system, e.g. to his start page, he acts as candidate. Depending on his relation to a P object he is either an external or an internal candidate.
In your example we are talking about external candidates. These candidates get a reference user assigned on candidate creation which is customized for the external candidate role (here the e-recruiting role) in IMG. Usually it is called RCF_CAND_EXT. The SAP delivery role (here the authorization role) this reference user gets is SAP_RCF_EXTERNAL_CANDIDATE (as long as you are using BSP). You have to copy this role to a customer one and replace the value 0002 of auth object P_RCF_APPL (Application in E-Recruiting) by your customer one 9000.
Then everything should work fine.

E-Recruiment 6.0 - External candidate search for Jobs

Configuration situation: I have configured the search functionality and the OTR text.
Requirement is to add State and City to the external candidate search for jobs page.
Z search template element using "FROZEN_REQUI_JOB_INFORMATION"-region field has been created. This custom search element has been assigned to the template. Also a custom search group has been created and assigned to relevant application.
Issue: In the BSP page for external candidate job search, only the cities are showing up without the state. Further more, if you select a country, the city is not getting restricted according to the selected country.
The class used is CL_HRRCF_BRANCH.
If I want to get the region and city onto the standard BSP page, will the class have to be modified? Any other ideas?

If i understood correctly, the requirement is to add state and city fields to external candidate job search. For that follow the procedure.
1) In "Define Search Template Elements" node, copy the element "FRO_REQ_JOB_INFO_COUNTRY_LB"
to "XXX" and make entries to "FIELD". For city add "CITY" to FIELD fields in "Attributes of infotype category" and "Data Collection". For Region add "region" to FIELD fields in "Attributes of infotype category" and "Data Collection".
2) Add this element to search template 0021at "Assign Search Template Elements to Search Templates"node.
3) Then assign the search template to search group 0005 at node "Assign Search Templates to Search Template Groups".
Now u should be able to see the fields with drop down lists on BSP screen.

E-Recruiting for external and internal candidates

I am looking for documents/guides that can show me how to configure E-Recruiting frontend (for external candidates) to point to the integrated ECC (HR + E-Recruiting) backend, and to configure SAP Portal with ESS (for internal candidates) to point to the integrated ECC backend. I am also looking to configure Trex 7.0 for E-Recruiting. I am unable to find any documents regarding this scenario. Can anyone help me locate some material?

There is no standard field available but this requirement can be handled through an enhancement in the specific BSP page. In your requirement it will be personal details tab in candidate profile wizard and it would also necessiate to enhance infotype HRP5102 - candidate information with this field.
You can also refer the blog below contributed by Hemendra Singh Manral to understand how to go about doing this enhancement in the BSP.

EREC- Candidate Registration Page

Hi Experts,
Is it possible to have different registration page for different region? my requirement is that for APAC i want the registration page to have fields like "date of birth" and "passport no." in the fields, whereas in US and Europe, i dont want to ask such personal data. How can i have different registration page for different region. Is there a standard functionality or do i have to create custom registration pages?

Hi,
the easiest way is to create different web dynpro configurations.
By configuration you hide these fields in the application wizard or registration page.
The registration page (link) then needs to differ on the local homepages, if you hide fields there.
The application wizard configuration can be distinguished by a BADI provided in the IMG (SPRO).
You just need to check the country of the branch assigned to the requisition. If US then call the US configuration, otherwise the global ones.
Additionally I would recommend you to insert the custom fields into the application wizard not the registration page.
