Hi Experts,
                  As per OSS notes i should not use CK40N transaction for batch input program. but i can use ck41 or ck42 .However ck41 or ck42 doesnt have all features like given below(6 points), as CK40N Does.
In my requirement , data is not flat file but i will get data related to
companycode,procuremnt type,material type,plant from some tables and will
store in some internal table.
The requirement must be done with 6 steps as follows by using CK40N transaction and system programs related to CK40N shown below.
1. Selection List                -      saprck60
2. Structure Explosion       -      saprck62
3.Costing                          -      saprck10
4.Analysis                        -       rkkbcal2
5.Marking                         -      saprck23
6.Release                         -      saprck23
Now alternative is to develop report program which uses System programs for batch processing by using submit keyword since we cannot use BDC's.
I prepared BDC data for ck40n transactions,so my question is how can we pass batch input data as parameters to the system programs, so that set of records
are processed by using system programs.
Please give some idea to do this.

Do you mean device drivers and the likes? Java isn't the language for that. You can always interface Java with C and there's also the Micro Edition of Java. It depends on your situation if Java is useful.

Is it possible to write system programs in java language? where can i find examples?

like writing device drivers or interacting with hardware i.e. ports input/output just like in 'C'..
If it is possible to write device drivers in java.....then we need not to write drivers for Windows, Solaris and linux separately. Just write device driver once and run it anywhere.. i don't know it is feasible or not.

I uninstalled all System Center VVM related management Packs, but still received "Uninstall all management packs related to System Center Virtual Machine Manager and then run Setup again.".
Think I got them all. But how can I figure out which Management pack is still installed and has to be removed.

System programming with java

i was trying to fetch system related data, like processor usage, through java .. but i couldn't .. i couldn't find any API for the purpose..
finally used some shellscripting...
is there any API for these purpose?

Queries related to ABAP Programs migration to SAP ECC 6.0

We are planning to re-implement SAP using SAP ECC 6.0 We are currently using SAP R3 Version 4.7
Regarding migration of existing ABAP Programs and data, I have some queries which may kindly be answered by any of the experts of this forum.
1. I have heard that SAP ECC 6.0 or SAP Netweaver 7.0 will never support BDC programs. To upload data into SAP, BAPI is the preferred option. Is that true?
2. In ABAP Programming, relational operator < (less than), > (greater than), <= (less than or equal to) etc are not supported by SAP Netweaver 7.0. In stead, operator contants LT, GT, LE etc must be used. Other wise, SAP reports syntax error. Is thar true?
3. Screens (Dynpros) have been fully programmed in ABAP Objects in almost all programs related to functional modules (SD,MM,PP,FI/CO etc) in SAP ECC 6.0. Is that true?
4. Programs written in SAP R/3 Version 4.7 will report syntax errors when that program is compiled as it is in SAP Netweaver. Is that true?
I request you to kindly reply for these four queries at the earliest.

SAP ECC6.0 will be supporting BDC programs too.But ,apart from this there are other options like LSMW ,BAPI, ECATT tool
which serves the same purpose . It doesnot mean that SAP wont support BDC.
Coming to relational operators u can use both of them but preferred is operator contants LT, GT, LE.
If there are any obsolete statements or any Obsolete function modules used in version4.7 U will get syntax errors or unicode errors.

    Debugger
The Debugger is a programming tool that you can use to execute ABAP programs, by line or by section. With this tool, you can display data objects and check the flow logic of programs.
Two types of debugging are currently possible: Debugging with the classic Debugger for release levels up to and including 6.40 or debugging with the new Debugger, which is available for all releases after 6.40. The main differences between the classic and the new ABAP Debuggers are described below:
·         The Classic ABAP Debugger runs in the same roll area as the application to be analyzed (debuggee). It is therefore displayed in the same window as the application. However, this technology also has some restrictions. For example, some ABAP programs (such as conversion exist) cannot be analyzed in debug mode for technical reasons. However, the most significant restriction is that no ABAP technology can be used for designing the Debugger interface and it is therefore not possible to create a modern user interface.
The New ABAP Debugger, on the other hand, is executed in a separate external session (Debugger), while the application to be analyzed (debuggee) uses a second external session. With this technology, the user interface of the Debugger can be designed freely by ABAP means.
The new Debugger provides the user with a flexible interface that can be configured as required and has more than eight desktops. Here it is possible to place and arrange up to four tools - depending on the user's selection. For example, it is possible to display source texts or structures. In this way, the user can design the Debugger interface according to his own individual requirements.
As of Release 6.40, you can select the debugging type as you wish by choosing the classic Debugger or the new Debugger in the ABAP Editor from the path Utilities ® Settings. It is also possible to switch the Debugger at any time during a session under the menu option Debugging.
As of Release 7.00, the new ABAP Debugger is the default.
Breakpoints
Apart from being able to execute an ABAP program in the Debugger, you can also start the Debugger call by the choosing a breakpoint. This is achieved by setting one or more of these breakpoints in the program. A breakpoint is a signal at a particular point in the program that tells the ABAP runtime processor to interrupt processing and start the Debugger. The Debugger is activated when the program reaches this point.
There is also a special kind of breakpoint called a watchpoint. When you use watchpoints, the Debugger is not activated until the contents of a particular field change. For more information, refer to the chapter Watchpoints.
Breakpoint Variants
The Debugger contains different breakpoint variants:
Static
A user-specific breakpoint is inserted in the source code as an ABAP statement using the keyword BREAK-POINT. A non user-specific breakpoint is set in the ABAP Editor using the BREAK user name statement.
Directly set
dynamic breakpoints
Can be set in the ABAP Editor or the Debugger by double-clicking a line, for example. Dynamic breakpoints are always user-specific, and are deleted when you log off from the R/3 System.

at statements
The Debugger stops the program immediately before the specified statement is executed.
Breakpoints
at subroutines
The Debugger stops the program immediately before the specified subroutine is called.
Breakpoints at function modules
The Debugger stops the program immediately before the specified function module is called.
Breakpoints at methods
The Debugger stops the program immediately before the specified method is called.
Breakpoints at exceptions and system exceptions
The Debugger stops the program immediately after a system exception, that is, after a runtime error has been intercepted.
Static Breakpoints
Static breakpoints are always user-independent if there is no specification of a user name. Once a user has inserted the statement BREAK-POINT or BREAK name in an ABAP program, the system always interrupts the program at that point for that user or only for the user name. This procedure is only useful in the development phase of an application when program execution is always to be interrupted at the same place. For more information, refer to the chapter Static Breakpoints.
In HTTP sessions, a static breakpoint is skipped if you did not set additional dynamic HTTP breakpoints in the editor of a BSP page. Instead, a corresponding system log entry is written, which can be checked using transaction SM21.
Dynamic Breakpoints
Dynamic breakpoints are user-specific. Therefore, you should use them if you only want the program to be interrupted when you run it yourself, not when it is being executed by other users. All dynamic breakpoints are deleted when you log off from the R/3 System.
Dynamic breakpoints are more flexible than static breakpoints because you can deactivate or delete them at runtime. They have the following advantages:
·        You do not have to change the program code.
·        You can set them even when the program is locked by another programmer.
·        You can define a counter that only activates the breakpoint after it has been reached.
Special dynamic breakpoints are useful when you want to interrupt a program directly before a particular ABAP statement, a subroutine, or an event, but do not know exactly where to find it in the source code. Event here is used to refer to the occurrence of a particular statement, for example, or calling up a method. Special dynamic breakpoints are user-specific. You can only set them in the Debugger. For more information, refer to the chapter Dynamic Breakpoints.
In HTTP sessions, the system stops both at static and dynamic breakpoints if a dynamic breakpoint was set in the editor of a BSP page before program execution.
Lifetime and Transfer of Breakpoints
A static breakpoint remains intact as long as the BREAK-POINT or BREAK-POINT name statement is not removed from the source code. Without saving, dynamic breakpoints only remain intact in the relevant internal session. However, they remain in effect during the entire user session if they are saved by choosing the menu path Breakpoints ® Save in the ABAP Debugger. For more details on the subject of user sessions and modes, refer to Modularization Techniques in the ABAP keyword documentation.
If you call an HTTP session during a user session, only the HTTP breakpoints are loaded when the HTTP session is started. You activate HTTP debugging in the ABAP Editor by choosing Utilities ® Settings ® HTTP Debugging. Depending on the setting, the system then displays either the HTTP or standard breakpoints in the Editor.
If you call an update session during a user session, breakpoints that were defined beforehand in the calling processing unit are copied to the new update session, where they can be displayed under Breakpoints. If, in the ABAP Debugger, you check Update Debugging under Settings and then, for example, call the update module func using CALL FUNCTION func IN UPDATE TASK, a new window is opened in which you can debug this function module in the update session. All the breakpoints that were set in the calling processing unit can also be processed here.

    Watchpoints
Like a breakpoint, a watchpoint is an indicator in a program that tells the ABAP runtime processor to interrupt the program at a particular point. Unlike breakpoints, however, watchpoints are not activated until the contents of a specified field change. Watchpoints, like dynamic breakpoints, are user-specific, and so do not affect other users running the same program. You can only define watchpoints in the Debugger.
Use
You set watchpoints in the Debugger to monitor the contents of specific fields. They inform you when the value of a field changes. When the value changes, the Debugger interrupts the program.

Related to Network program using Java Client and C server

I am little bit experience in java technology. I need an urgent help as I have to submit a document related to C server and Java client. But while searching in net i cant get a proper guidance for C server as many errors thrown in sys/socket.h and other new header files. Can any one help me out for giving source code for C Server. so that i can further involve in that document. Please help me out. i am really helpless by the way the C server thrown error. after finishing that C server only i can concentrate on Java client...

Thanks for your reply.. I have gone through many sockets server program in C but the real proble is the header file they include like
socket.h and in.h etc.. they also provide these header files but if we compile in turboC they inturn require some other header files. I dont get the full hierarchy of C server program. I found some help in Java programming Archive about C Server and java client. As i am new to C i cant get the full header files for the server.c if i complete taht only i can proceed to java client. If u can redirect me for any good C sites also i can be thankful for u forever..please

1.1 performance problems related to system configuration?

It seems like a lot of people are having serious performance problems with Aperture 1.1 in areas were they didn't have any (or at least not so much) problems in the previous 1.01 release.
Most often these problems occur as slow behaviour of the application when switching views (especially into and out of full view), loading images into the viewer or doing image adjustments. In most cases Aperture works normal for some time and then starts to slow down gradually up to point were images are no longer refreshed correctly or the whole application crashes. Most of the time simply restarting Aperture doesn't help, one has to restart the OS.
Most of the time the problems occur in conjunction with CPU usage rates which are much higher than in 1.0.1.
For some people even other applications seem to be affected to a point where the whole system has to be restarted to get everything working up at full speed again. Also shutdown times seem to increase dramatically after such an Aperture slowdown.
My intention in this thread is to collect information from users who are experiencing such problems about their system configuration. At the moment it does not look like these problems are related to special configurations only, but maybe we can find a common point when we collect as much information as possible about system where Aperture 1.1 shows this behaviour.
Before I continue with my configuration, I would like to point out that this thread is not about general speed issues with Aperture. If you're not able to work smoothly with 16MPix RAW files on G5 systems with Radeon 9650 video cards or Aperture is generally slow on your iBook 14" system where you installed it with a hack, than this is not the right thread. I fully understand if you want to complain about these general speed issues, but please refrain from doing so in this thread.
Here I only want to collect information from people who either know that some things works considerably faster in the previous release or who notice that Aperture 1.1 really slows down after some time of use.
Enough said, here is my information:
- Powermac G5 Dualcore 2.0
- 2.5 GB RAM
- Nvidia 7800GT (flashed PC version)
- System disk: Software RAID0 (2 WD 10000rpm 74GB Raptor drives)
- Aperture library on a hardware RAID0 (2 Maxtor 160GB drives) connected to Highpoint RocketRAID 2320 PCIe adapter
- Displays: 17" and 15" TFT
I do not think, that we need more information, things like external drives (apart from ones used for the actual library), superdrive types, connected USB stuff like printers, scanners etc. shouldn't make any difference so no need to report that. Also it is self-evident that Mac OS 10.4.6 is used.
Of interest might be any internal cards (PCIe/PCI/PCI-X...) build into your system like my RAID adapter, Decklink cards (wasn't there a report about problems with them?), any other special video or audio cards or additional graphic cards.
Again, please only post here if you're experiencing any of the mentioned problems and please try to keep your information as condensed as possible. This thread is about collecting data, there are already enough other threads where the specific problems (or other general speed issues) are discussed.

BTW: Within the next week I will perform some tests which will include replacing my 7800GT with the original 6600 and removing as much extra stuff from my system as possible to see if that helps.

Yesterday i had my first decent run in 1.1 and was pleased i avoided a lot perfromance issues that seemed to affect others.
After i posted, i got hit by a big slow-down in system perfromance. I tried to quit Aperture but couldn't, it had no tasks in its activity window. However Activity Monitor showed Aperture as a 30 thread 1.4GB Virtual memory hairball soaking-up 80-90% of my 4 cpu's. Given the high cpu activity i suspected the reason was not my 2GB of RAM, althought its obviously better with more. So what caused the sudded decerease in system perfromance after 6 hours of relative trouble free editing/sorting with 1.1 ?
This morning i re-created the issue. Before i go further, when i ran 1.1 for the first time i did not migrate my whole library to the new raw algorithum (its not called the bleeding edge for nothing). So this morning i selected one project to migrate all its raw images to 1.1 and after the progress bar completed its work, the cpus ramped and system got bogged-down again.
So Aperture is doing a background task that is consuming large amounts of cpu power, shows nothing in its activity monitor and takes a very long time to complete. My project had 89 raw images migrated to the 1.1 algorithum and it took 4 minutes to complete those 'background processes' (more reconstituting of images?). I'm not sure what its doing, but it takes a long time and shows no obvious sign it is normal. If you leave it to complete its work, the system returns to normal. More of an issue is the system allows you to continue to work as the background processes crank, compounding the heavy workload.
Bit of a guess this, but is this what is causing people system's problems ? As i said if i left my quad alone for 4 minutes all returns as normal. Its just not normal to think it will ever end, so you do more and compound the slow-down ?
In the interests of research i did another project migrating 245 8MB raws to the 1.1 algorithum and it took 8 minutes. First 5mins consumed 1GB of virtual memory over 20 threads at average 250% CPU usage for Aperture alone. The last three minutes saw the cpus ramp higher to 350%, virtual memory increase to 1.2GB. After the 8 minutes all returned to nornal and fans slowed down (excellent fan/noise behaviour on these quads).
Is this what others are seeing ?
When you force quit Aperture during these system slow-downs what effect does this having on your images ? Do the uncompleted background processes restart when you go to try and view them ?
If i get time i'll try and compare to my MBP.

HR- Attendance Problem related to payroll program

I have created the zreport from attendance in HR-payroll ( Tcode: PT91_ATT ). Actually I have copy the whole satandard report code (with Tcode: PT91_ATT ) to my zreport for the customized requirement. Report is executing fine with dispalying the employee code(PERNR), name of employee (BNAME), and the date wise display like 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31.
My requirement is to add the three fields more in the same printing logic i.e. Total no of Present(P), Total no of Leaves(L), Total no of Absents(A) with in the same report. I have done some changes but they are not executing. Can you please suggest how it can be done. If possible do suggest with code of program please.

Unfortunately, I don't believe in spoon feeding and hence not be posting the source code here.
I believe I have given enough information as to what can be used to get the report developed.
Further to this, let me explain you the logic to be followed in detail -
Steps to be followed -
1. Use Logical DB PNP & node PERNR of it.
2. Loop through all the personnel numbers between GET PERNR... END-OF-SELECTION
3. Query time data for each employee using the function module HR_FORMS_TIM_GET_B2_RESULTS. First, loop through the internal table FT_PSP to get the "SHIFT" and "Weekly off" here and fill the day slots.
4. Now that you have got the weekly off's of the employee check for other possible entries such as PRESENCE, ABSENCE(CL,SL,PL et al.) which can be found in the internal table FT_TP of B2 cluster.
5.Finally, when you have data for entire month count the related PRESENCE & ABSENCE and any other things that you would like to have in your output.
Let me know, if you need anything else. Perhaps, not the source code.
