SAPGUI Dialogs

In one of our user-exits in SAPMV45A, FM popup_to_confirm is called for additional user dialog confirmation. It has a check that if it is running in background, the dialog is not displayed, and it just accepts the default value. Since this is in the user-exit, a BAPI call to create or change SD document will enable the popup to come in.
Here comes WD app, and a BAPI call is made. Obviously, the dialog will not be displayed as the FM popup designed for SAPGUI .
My question is, is there another function or class to display a popup that will be visible  when WDA is running ?
The idea will be on the exit, if the SAPGUI is running, call the normal  FM popup, othewise, call this other function/class method that will be visible in WDA app. --- Not even sure if that's possible.
Of course the other alternative is to create the popup in WDA and just pass the answer selected by the user to the user-exit. I actually wanted to avoid this so I don't have to do the same on other WDA apps.
Anyway, I hope there's this function / class I'm looking for or if there are any other approaches that can be explored, I would appreciate the help.

    we use SAPGUI for Windows 7.20 PL6 HF2 on Windows7-Workstations.
    Some SAPGUI-Options are defined centrally (e.g. Security settings, DocumentLifeTime, ShowAdditionalTitleInfo,...) and were distributed to all EndUser-Workstations.
    Tthe EndUsers should'nt be able to change or delete these "centrally" defined settings.
    But if an EndUser would actually use the "Reset to Standard"-Button in the SAPGUI 7.20 Option Dialog, some of our distributed  Settings / RegKeys will be deleted or overritten.
    Anyone else faced with this problem ?
    How Is it possible to prevent EndUsers to use the "Reset to Standard"-Button in SAPGUI Option Dialog ?

    No ideas ?
    problem is, a EndUser is able to overwrite my predefined values (e.g. delete Documents and Trace-Folder contenct when it is older than 3 days) to prevent high amount of "old" files in these folders)
    Therefore i wold like to hide or inacativate this "reset to standard" button because it doesn't set it to the values which i set before during my rollout-installation...
    And additiopnally i'm not able to set all values as HKEY_LOCAL because some of them are only available as HKEY_USER entires...

  • Recording SAPGUI and Windows file dialogs

    Has anybody been successful in recording some Windows dialogs that can popup in the flow of a particular SAPGUI scenario, as uploading a local file into SAP or downloading data to the PC. There is a windows file selection dialog which is used to select a file and I just can't record what happens inside. Playing back the recorded scenario makes it block.

    Thank you Christian. I'll have a look at these as soon as I can, but I believe that was not the primary request. I think that the solution described in the tech-note 686674 is perfect, but unfortunately, the solution consist in installing a new support package.  It consist in SAP_BASIS, release 60, from release 620 to 620. I'm not sure what can happen if the current release of the SAP_BASIS component is 700 - the note is a bit unclear on this. That is my primary question now...

  • Generic Object Services with SAPGui Classic Theme

    Dear Experts,
    the button for Generic Object Services is available in different transactions like VA03, ME23N, etc. We are facing now the problem that if a user has in his SAPGui the "Classic Theme" choosen the button for the GOS is not visible. The services can be only accessed through the menu (System->Services for Object)
    With other SAPGui Themes the GOS button is visible.
    We are using SAP Logon 720 Patch-Level 4.

    but the customer isn't happy with the "Store business Documents" and it's Drag n' drop interface.
    I'm to develop a new GOS menu item, that will show
    a normal Open File dialog, and a following popup
    where the user can change the document title shown
    in the Attachment list.
    ARCHIVOBJECT_CREATE_FILE and ARCHIVOBJECT_GET_TABLE
    along with ARCHIV_CONNECTION_INSERT should probably
    cover the functionality I need.
    I know both the BOR type ID and the object ID is
    available to me in the Execute() method of the GOS menu handler I'm overriding, but for the ARCHIV_CONNECTION_INSERT, I'm supposed to supply an AR_OBJECT parameter (I know that this information is stored in the TOAOM table), but I have no clue where to get this information for the current object I'm trying to add an attachment for.

  • SAPGUI JAVA 7.20 rev7 - problem with filename popup

    i have a macbook pro and i have installed sapgui 7.2 java rev7.
    When i try to download/upload a file, i use f4 to select a file and the system doesn't open the search file popup.

    I guess you are talking about opening the file selection dialog using F4, not a search dialog.
    Does it open when pressing the button?
    Do you get any error output on the console / alternatively enter a trace file in the trace dialog.
    Does something else happen when pressing F4?
    In case you want us to investigate this, please generate a trace file while reproducing the issue like described in [note 683960|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/683960], create an [official bug report|https://service.sap.com/message] on component BC-FES-JAV and attach the trace file.

  • RRI in NW2004S - usibg SAPgui

    Hi,
    I configured the RRI from one InfoCube to the transaction in ERP.
    During the execution the error message is displayed:
        No Web server maintained for the presentation of log. system abc
        Jump target cannot be executed
    I would like to run ERP transaction in SAPgui for WIN. The original Q is run in BEX Analyzer and it is no use to run ERP transaction on WEB.
    How can I setup RRI to use SAPgui for WIN?

    Hi,
    In order to launch a WinGUI transaction from NW04s BEx Analyzer, you  
    need to make sure to use a SAPGui connection from BEx Analyzer to your
    ABAP backend. This can be enforced by selecting "Logon with Attached  
    SAP GUI" on the "Behavior" tab of BEx Analyzer's "Global Settings"    
    dialog.

    Ok, something got screwed up then.  Delete that icon from your desktop.
    Next.....
    Form the start menu, choose run, type MMC and hit enter.
    Now you should see an MMC,  choose File --> Add/Remove SnapIn.  In the "Standalone" dialog, click Add.  Scroll down and choose SAP Systems Manager.  Click Add.  Next dialog,  take defaults and hit Next twice.  At the screen where it has "System"  Enter NSP if not already there.  Enter 'localhost 00' into the Instance field and click add.  Now Finish.  Close the rest of the windows and go back to the MMC, now you should see a SAP Systems node, with your NSP underneath, right-click it and "Start".   You can then save this MMC and put a shortcut on your desktop.

    What do you mean dialog mode?  What exactly are you trying to adapt to?  Web Dynpro is flow layout based (unlike SAPGUI Classic Dynpro where you were pixel position based).  The flow layout automatically adapts to screen sized - particluarly when combined with containers that use percentage for their widths/heights.

    from previous posts, it looks like Unix based SAP installations are on the losing side here since there is no SAP based solution for SSO with SAPGUI and AD, investment into 3rd party products is needed.
    My Q. is: If I will install dialog server on windows and move SCS services include msg server to this thin dialog server, will this be sufficient to solve to SSO problems?
    the idea is just to solve the login stage and the user continue to word on unix based AS.

  • Disp+work.exe - Running but dialog queue statistics unavailable

    Hi,
    We have two diferent instances in the same machine. One on them have disp+work.exe in yellow and show message "Running but dialog queue statistics unabailable". This is right, the queue statistics have no item to show, but I can login perfectly in sapgui and see the processes in tx sm50.
    Where sapmmc read from? Instance profiles? Any other file?

  • SAPGUI  Java 7.20 rev 1 (Ver ID 072000040100) OS X 10.6.3 can't save file

    SAPGUI for Java 7.20 rev 1 (Ver ID 072000040100) Mac OS X 10.6.3 does not save file to OS X directory when exporting report, etc.
    When attempting to save SAP returns message "A: A:00:122 Bytes transferred".  Double clicking on the message results in spinning ball of application death.
    I have changed the location defaults in SAPGUI > Preferences without success.
    Manual input of file path in transfer dialog box was unsuccessful.
    Selecting drop down indicator on file path field in transfer dialog box returns nothing. (Previous version would bring up OS X Save Dialog Box).
    Review of other Forum threads did not reveal others with same issue.
    Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

    Update: I reverted to SAPGUI for Java 7.10 rev 9.  This version of the GUI does not have the problems noted above.

    Hello Marti,
    from your description I would assume that the malfunction is caused by the absence of some components in SAP GUI for Java 7.20 combined with ABAP coding not yet rerouting to replacement APIs.
    Please have a look at [note 1418688|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1418688] for details and referenced notes containing ABAP corrections to utilize the new instead the original but obsolete implementations in SAP GUI.

  • Solution Manager - eCatt issues during rec/exec of SAPGUI based scripts

    Hi all,
    after the last support package set up I started to encounter some problems during the recording and the execution of test scripts based on SAPGUI command.
    During recording:
    First time I try to record a transaction, after selecting SAPGUI command-->start recording; prompted to target system I try to logon, but obtain an error;
    Second time the recording process goes on, but it happens that the system creates more than one  window describing the new session's data (the windows has title "Record SAP GUI Command" and subtitle "New Session with Following Data was created")... Another one of such pop up is created even if I create another session of the target system...
    During execution:
    The first time I try to execute a test script which begins with a SAPGUI command the script fails with the following error:
    Target Sys Zssssss_een->een_ccc->een (Target Sys Zssssss_een->een_ccc->een)
    Error in eCATT command SAPGUI
    Error when Starting Replay Session. Possible Causes: 1. Scripting Is Deactivated in Replay System.
    2. User Has Not Logged On Within 00:00:45 Hours or Has No Dialog Rights. 3. Too Many Session Are
    Open.
    If I try to re-execute the same script a second time, everything goes fine, and I can complete script execution.
    Does anyone have encountered similar problems?

    Thanks a lot. But we have already resolved the problem. The error was in the ecatt script. In tcode secatt, after recording, the script included the rfc destination which was to be removed manually.

  • NWBC - Problems with TABStrips in SAPGui-Rendering

    does anybody has also the problem that tabstrips in sapGui-Applications do not appear on the screen when executing inside Netweaver Business client.
    They appear just as a "Line", you can click on it, but they are rendered not correctly.

    Lots and lots of questions.
    1. Your export settings should include Square Pixels, not what you have shown.
    2. Do you really want Frame size 1960 width and 1080 height? Typically that would be 1920 x 1080 16:9.
    3. What are the properties of your source media...video and audio compression, frame size, frame rate, aspect ratio, file extension...etc. Consequently what are you or the project setting as the project preset in the new project dialog? Could it be one of the project presets with 1280 x 720 in its description? Which one?
    Let us start here and then decide what next. More details coming if necessary.

  • Trace Level X activated after SAPGUI patch upgrade

    Greetings,
    After upgrading SAPGUI 6.40 from patch level 7 to patch level 14, many of our users are getting a dialog box appearing after the Portal auto launches the SAPGUI:

    Trace level 3 activated
    Logging activated
    For maximum data security, delete the setting(s) as soon as possible!
    We've tried the following fixes to no avail: emptying the temp files in working directory, reinstalling the update, checking the GUI options to make sure that the SAPGUI trace level is not turned on.
    Any suggestions are greatly appreicated.

    I have another trouble with SAP shortcut - "Working Dir".
    SAP GUI do not use this setting for tracing from shortcut.
    Probably, you could 'patch' this trouble also?
