Remarks column in Loan Request

Hi all,
I am facing an issue in one of the Portal Services. ESS-> Benefits and Payment -> Loan Request.
Here when I create a new Loan Request, there is a field for Remarks (Comments) before applying for a loan.
I am unable to find the same Remarks field in Infotype(0045) in the backend.
In which table, are the remarks text getting stored.

Pl check whether u renamed remarks column,I think it can be moved,if u find remarks,pl drag field in form settings and
place it above/below reqd. field.

While accessing ESS Loan request for Country grouping 40 India am getting below mentioned error saying that 500 Internal Server Error.
I have maintained the settings for Leave request and maintained Infotype 45 Loans for employee.

Loan request - ESS - Error on eligiblity

Hi
Loans are configured in R/3 and working fine .... I configured the same for ESS ( Benefits and Payments - > Loan Requests ) when i try to raise a request for a loan type in ESS , i get en error saying " The Experience of employee 00000022 is less than eligibile experience for loan" , even though i have given "null (0) " in the node - Maintain loans Eligiblity checks and limits ... have any of you come across something like this..... inputs on how to solve this would be highly appreciated.....

In the ESS - Loan Request screen, the "Reference No." field is grayed out with '000000000000" , though i have given the number range in SPRO for the same...
Can you please let me know whether you get the reference number field correctly filled??

Moving the remarks column in the G/L Report

Please can you consider for a future release, the ability to change the position of the 'Remarks' column in the General Ledger report. Currently, 'Remarks' does not show as a field in Form Settings.

Can Doc.Remarks column in the payments appear in A/C Balance

Dear Experts,
In the Incoming/outgoing payments the Column Doc. Remarks as shown in the following image
Can it be brought as udf in the A/C Balance as shown below
As In form settings there is no option, but can we create an UDF here so that doc. remarks column appears here.
or they should be a query used. Kindly let me know

You need to check JDT1 and OCRD Table for Query You Required.
Please differentiate JDT1 Table for Data with the help of Transaction Type.

Transaction Type for AP Invoice is 18

Calculated column of a request from Column Selector View.

A user wants to select the calculated column of a request from Column Selector View.
But he is able to select only those columns which are available in Selection Pane.

Take a column in your request criteria and change the name of the column and forumala to f(x)=qty* amount which is your calculated column and using column selector use this column as your user wish too.

I dont know how your proceeding,the solution i gave will definately work .Here are the steps
1)pull a column into the request criteria
2)rename the name of the column
3)go to formula in f(x) change according to your requirement for example:- quantity*unitprice
4) run the report and in results you would see the column.
5)From compound layout select column selector and see what you want is getting displayed.

ESS Loan Request Approver side validations

Dear All,
I am using standard ess loan request service.Here I have to perform certail validations at MSS side(Loan Request Approver IView).
Here manager can edit the values of Granted Amount,payment date,payment amount and payment type.But without entering these values also the loan request is getting approved by clicking on Review button.
I want to validate the above mentioned fields in case any of thefields left blank and also I have to validate the granted amount(should not be greater than requested amount).
As we know we have following BADI's available thru which we can perform validations when employee is applying for a loan.
1.Eligibility check
2.Custom Validations
3.Determine Approver.
Is there any BADIs available to perform validations at MSS part(Loan Request Approver)

According to your reply I understand that I need to write my validations in the approval task(TS18900024).In the workflow Approval task there is a standard class CL_HRPBSIN_LOAN_REPAY_WF available.I cannot create a method under it since this is a standard class.Do I need to take a copy of it and create a method?
But how can I Import the parameters from approver screen like Granted amount,payment amount,payment date and payment type.
Please clarify...

Problem with Column Sorting in Request Table View

We've enabled column sorting on the table view in an Answers request but it doesn't work when more than around 400 rows are returned. It works Ok when fewer than 400 rows are returned. Does anyone know if there is a specific limit to the number of rows where column sorting works?

I've dug into the query log a little more. When this request returns more than around 400 records and you click on a column heading to sort the table view, the query from the log is not changing to reflect the new sort order. It stays as whatever the default sort order was for the request.
Column heading sorting on other requests in different subject areas on this same server works fine. I've tested this other request with up to 6400 rows returning and it's sorting works.
All caching is turned off for the subject area.

Loan Request Approved but it is not updating in R/3 IT 0045.

Loan approval process is completed. But it is not getting update in R/3. Are there any back ground programs needs to run to update the record? Or else where I can check the completed requests in R/3?

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. Bug 9888444 has been logged to track this issue. Please note that this issue impacts users running in French, Italian, Japanese and Korean. When you edit a Classic Report column in the Application Builder, the Column Formatting region holds an item "HTML Expression" with an associated shortcut [Insert column value]. When running in French, Italian, Japanese or Korean, when the user clicks on the shortcut link, the popup displays an error "Bad Request". The popup works for all other languages.
We do not recommend that users modify the APEX internal application files. Instead, you can workaround this issue by directly entering column values into the "HTML Expression" text area in the Column Formatting region on the Column Attributes page, similar to the following:
*#EMPNO#*
where EMPNO is a column on your report.

Renaming Column Names in a single shot in Requests

We are having one issue while trying to rename the column in the requests.
Requirement:
We are having two presentation table "Fact Summary" and "Countries Dimension". Both of these tables contain one column "Country Description".
Presently in all the reports we have developed till now, we used "Fact Summary"."Country Description".
Now the users want us to replace "Fact Summary"."Country Description" with "Countries Dimension"."Country Description" and delete the "Country Description" from "Fact Summary" table.
Approach we followed:
Opened the Catalog Manager in Offline mode and used the XML Search and Replace option.
With this option we are able to replace column names that are selected in a request but not those just used as filters(is prompted).
Example:
Suppose we have one request with "States Dimension"."State" seleted and "Fact Summary"."Country Description" as filter, we are able to not able to replace "Fact Summary"."Country Description" with "Countries Dimension"."Country Description"
Can anyone please help me...Is there any alternative solution for this?

Nope, I don't have a solution for this. You must never model descriptive columns in a fact table. Even when you have descriptive columns or textual content in one of your fact table columns, you should model them as part of a logical dimension table. Let this be a good lesson.

My request shows a diff Fact table when new Dim columns added to OOB report

Hi,
I am facing this strange problem with the out-of-box BMM metadata mapping and report:
The "Dim_W_GL_ACCOUNT_D" is joined to "Fact_W_GL_OTHER_F" and "Fact_W_GL_BALANCE_F" facts. Both these fact tables have a inner join to "Dim_W_GL_ACCOUNT_D". The change I have made in th BMM is - I added 2 new logical dimensions DimA and DimB and joined these to the above 2 fact tables.
The O-O-Box "GL Account Balance" Report works fine which has 3 logical columns (GL Account Number, Financial Statement Item, GL Account Category) from the "Dim_W_GL_ACCOUNT_D" and 1 Fact column "Closing Amount" which points to the "Fact_W_GL_BALANCE_F"."BALANCE_GLOBAL1_AMT" fact.
When I add 1 logical column each from my 2 new Dims I created, the report output shows the Fact column "Closing Amount" as $0.0. Upon investigating the log, the query shows it is using the "Fact_W_GL_OTHER_F" instead of "Fact_W_GL_BALANCE_F" fact which has the "Closing Amount" column. I am not sure how. When I drop the logical column "GL Account Number" and keep my 2 new logical columns in the request, the "Closing Amount" is shown correctly. I also saw there is a Dim Hierarchy for "GL Accounts" --- the "GL Account Number" is on a lower level than the "Financial Statement Item" and "GL Account Category" columns from the same logical dimension table which are 1 level higher.
How do I make the request pull data at the "GL Account Number" level and still have the query fetch data from "Fact_W_GL_BALANCE_F"."BALANCE_GLOBAL1_AMT" (Closing Amount) with my 2 new logical columns included?
