Dear All,
I need to do below
I have one workflow task triggered to approver for approval of object.
If Approver doesnt approve and complete the task in 72 Hrs , and reminder email should be triggered to Approver and one more user every day until he approves and completes tasl.
I have done below things
Mentioned Latest End date and Latest end time which is 72 hours more that current (it comes from expression from a Web Dynpro Process route item) .
In deadline monitoring created a do until loop, with condition of completion of process route item to be completed.
and added send email tasks ( 2 tasks, one to approver and one to relevant user).
will above work?
Also how do i make sure that emails loop is triggered only after 24 Hrs.
In case there is completely different alternative as solution please suggest that as well

Today I found that loop with condition of item status is working but it is sending reminder emails non-stop.
This is right because I didnt put any stop of 24 hours.
Now as per your suggestion I need to add a task with dummy method.
Actually I have created a subtype BOR and delegated to SAP standard BOR.
I added dummy method in that Subtype BOR. But while creating task i am not able to see that dummy method in drop down
in both cases (i put standard BOR or subtype z BOR)
Please suggest

In SPD just type Today it will compare current system date.

All emails from one day lost!

We have a GW 7.03 clustered environment running on NW 6.5.7.
All emails from one day on one of our POs has been lost, ie: on the 21st of this month all received, sent, work in progress and calender items for all users on one of our POs were lost.
The only difference between that problematic PO and the other 6 POs, is that its GWCHECK.db became much bigger in size then the other 6 POs one day after the loss! Also the GWCHECK.log at the root of the PO shows several attempts to run scheduled gwcheck jobs with failure: "Failure 'writing' GWCheck database (WpckSetItemStatusByDrn)" in the log.
Subsequent logs from the GWCHECK.log files on subsequent days are normal. I have since re-created the GWCHECk.db and restarted the PO, since then the log is the same size as other POs.
I cannot find any other indication to show me the reason for loosing the emails from that day!
The PO never ran out of space!
Question (s):
1- Could the scheduled task cause email loss based on the above info?
2- If the lost email was never deleted by the users, is there a way to recover those emails form a restore PO location? (knowing that the restore area will show only deleted messages)
3- Will the only solution if the above statement is true is to load the restore PO against an isolated POA while allowing Client/server & Direct access for client connection?
4- Any idea what caused the email loss?

After all: a restore executed - by mistake - to the live environment after midnight on the day of! this made it even harder to detect from the GW aspect, but could be confirmed through our backup system logs. What made the matters even worse; the fact that the nightly backup was running as well!!
The timeline from the Gwcheck logs alligned with the restore logs which also resulted in "bloating" the "NGWCHEK.db" to lamost 30 times as much as normal, since the system went into a loop trying to execute the scheduled maintenance jobs.

I am not sure if there is a way to accidentally purge a given days mail. What about an accidental restore? The gwchecks might be in response to a failure to access the databases and the PO tried to recover them. Look at the poa and mrs logs and see if you find any database errors being reported.
Has another episode like this happened since?

Email Attendee One Day Before Event

I have scheduled clients to whom I would like to have iCal send reminders, one day prior to their appointments. I've looked through the forum and have not found a way to do this. Any suggestions, via alarm, run script, automator, etc?

You could, as you say, have a run script alarm on the various appointment events. The problem is that iCal doesn't (at least, not as far as OS 10.5) pass to the script the information on the event that is alarming, so the script has to go looking for it. I would suggest keeping the appointments in a separate calendar and set up a script to run each morning to pick out each event in the appointments calendar for the next day and generate the emails that way.
Have you the clients in the appointments as attendees?

Stops recieving emails after one day on 5800

Hi have been currently using the Messaging and find it really a great program but after one day my the program will not download any new email via send and receive.
In the connection info there is specified that the last sync is successful but no emails are received.
If from the settings I choose to reset the data I start receiving new emails for about a day or so and the same thing happens again.
I am subscribed to a gmail and yahoo account.
Does anyone has the same problem?

Nokia messaging that you install manually?
I have a similar problem, sometimes messages sit in the outbox even though it is connected. I send/receive, exit the app, reboot the phone, but they won't send. I've had to reinstall it a few times because it keeps happening.
Generally it's a good app, but what i really would prefer (and i'm disappointed it doesn't seem to be in the new firmware update) is HTML support in the built-in client.

Over thirty emails in one day from the itunes store.

I've happily received one or two emails a week from the itunes store for years.
But today I've received nearly thirty and they are still coming. They are mostly all different but there have been a few duplicates. This is just spam. I've repeatedly asked to be unsubscribed as I'd rather not get any than this constant stream.
Is anyone else getting spammed to death by the store today? I'm in the UK but a few seem to be coming from the US store as well though I don't know why as we can't buy anything from the US store in the UK.

Go to the myInfo page at - https://myinfo.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/MyInfo.woa - and login then go to the 'subscriptions' and 'contact' tabs and turn off the correct check box.
You can also give feedback to the iTS from the main iTunes drop-down menu. Sounds like a bug.

Says my email has exceeded its limit, but I haven't sent out 500 emails in one day. I only sent out 4 groups of about 20.

Keeps bouncing my emails out of outlook and when I use firefox directly out of gmail, it says I have exceeded my limit of 500 per day. Which I have not sent out that many today.

That's actually a message from Google, not Firefox. Doing a search for "500 emails exceeded limit" brings up http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/gmail/thread?tid=1c5a1c902b7037e9&hl=en which suggests that your account may have been compromised.
You need to talk to Google about it. Good luck!

Some where along the lne the Mail app changed from hom many emails you could keep to the lenght of sync, it's been this way at least since IOS 6. It's normal, to free up room on your iPad. Remember just because a email auto-deletes it's not gone, it's just not on your iPad. You can go to your email account onlne to see how many email you have. You can also use the search field if you also know the name. if you live near an Apple Store it might be a good time to stop in and find out why you don't have the option to change the sync amount.

Automated Calendar Reminder Emails

I have an event calendar on SharePoint that needs to automatically send out event reminder emails every 48 hours. I'm able to do this using date comparison and pausing in a workflow, but it doesn't look at the event time or the current time. Suggestions?

Could you please provide more details about the issue? And what is the event time? Is the event start time or the event created time?
It seems you want to create a timed workflow, you could follow the steps below to create a timed workflow:
1. Go to enable retention and add a retention stage. (Go to calendar list settings->click Information management policy settings->click the content type you want to add retention stage-> enable retention->add a retention stage)
2. in the event section, you could decide the time period.
3. In the action section, you could select the start a workflow.
4. In the recurrence section, you could select “repeat this stage’s action until the next stage is activated” and set the recurrence period.
5. You could create send email action in the workflow to send reminder emails.

Need to create a workflow that sends an email every friday, not every 7 days using sharepoint 2010

So I need to have a workflow in sharepoint designer 2010 that sends an email out every friday, so far all the ones I have seen send it out 7 days from when the item was created, but not every (certain day of the week)

Automatic Downloads and Strange Error Message: "You can auto-download purchases on this computer with just one Apple ID every 90 days"

Hi gang-
Yesterday I noticed that iTunes on my iMac had not auto-downloaded several new songs that I had recently purchased on my iPhone.    In iTunes Preferences, under Store -> Automatic Downloads, I always have Music selected so all songs purchased from any device using my Apple ID normally download automatically.
To troubleshoot this, I double-checked my Preferences and sure enough, Music was de-selected under Automatic Downloads.   I then Selected it and clicked OK.   Here's where it gets weird and I get this error message:
This computer is already associated with an Apple ID. You can auto-download purchases on this computer with just one Apple ID every 90 days. You cannot associate this computer with a different Apple ID for 84 days.
I read and re-read this message and none of it seems to apply to me.   I have only one Apple ID.   I am currently logged in with iTunes to that one Apple ID.   All my iTunes Music ever has been purchased with that one Apple ID.   I am not trying to associate this computer or any other with a different Apple ID.
I logged iTunes out and then back in again and tried all the above- but same error message.
So, as it is now, I am unable to turn on Automatic Downloads in iTunes.
Anyone know what the heck is going on?

Okay, this gets more and more bizarre.   I sent a support email to Apple and basically they said "...it seems that someone else associated your Mac with their Apple ID. That's the reason your purchases won't download."
Yikes!   My wife and I live alone- and we have exactly one and only one Apple ID.    Would somebody have needed physical access to my iMac to do that?
Support then said "You can view which devices or computers are currently associated, remove unused devices or computers, and see how long before they can be associated with a different Apple ID from the Account Information page in iTunes on your computer."
Okay- so I logged into My Account in iTunes.   On the list of associated devices, my own iMac is NOT on that list.   But I am logged in under the same Apple ID I've had for years on that iMac.
So my big question right now is...if my iMac (that I've owned for 5 years) has somehow been dis-associated from my Apple ID, how do I find out what Apple ID it is associated with?

How do I set a reminder for the last day of every month

Have I missed something? But how do you set a reminder for the last day of every month to recurr indefinatley in iOS6? Sorry if this is really simple but I just can't seem to work it out. Any help gratefully received.

Hey Mattye88 not sure if you have seen but actully you can do this, but for some reason you have to use Siri. If you bring up Siri and say "set a reminder ever 4 weeks from next wednesday to check the gas meter" it will set one and it will work just fine, I have reminders to water a Bonsai every three days and it works fine it just shows as custom repeat on the user interface. Alas it seems you can not use Siri to set one for the end of the month though which is why I am in this threed. Still hope it helps you to know how to sort this problem atleast.

Workflow changes - send reminder email on X - 1 days ... based on Molga

       I new to workflow and I came across a workflow scenario where I am confuse, that what should I do in order to make it work. Luckily we are running only one workflow in the system which is time off request, We copied standard workflow class u201CCL_PT_REQ_WF_ATTRIBSu201D to Z version and introduced some new method to send email to employees managers as well as employee and HR .
We also have something called workflow item cancel thing . Lets say if workflow is not approved by manger within X bossiness days it got cancel and employee has to submit the new time off request again. After doing a little bit research I came to know that there is standard job which checks and calculate the X days thing. Work flow is running fine from last 1 year.
Last week, we been asked to create reminder from X-1 day and sends to employee manager saying u201C This is a reminder and one day is left u201C .
   I wanted to know how I can achieve that, I have to filter the employee by reading employeeu2019s molga as we want to do it for specific countries then I have to read employee manager which I can do using different FM and then I have to send email to employee's manager .
Like I said It should happen BEFORE x-1 business days when employee submits the time off u2026

        I think I am following you so for .. so here what I did ... I opened the "approve process" and slap in the same refer date/time in "Requested end date " with variables "&WFDATA.DEADLINEDATE&" "&WFDATA.DEADLINETIME&" with 1- DAY . I didnu2019t find this what it says in help " It is possible to specify a negative time interval. Negative time   intervals should only be used in connection with an expression as a   reference date/time. You then have the option of "backward deadlines"
Any way after that I changed action to "modeled" and say "outcome "reminder from UK " .
it creates a node with clock sign , now like you said , I can do many things here .. and I really need to do something for example , I need to check the employee if he/she is from UK , after that reads his/her manager and send an email to mangeru2019s outbox . What I am thinking , I need to create a new activity as well as new method in my Zclass, in which I will check employee Molga i.e. U.K and I have to send out email based on my email text which I have created in SE61.
Iu2019m able to write code in existing method , being on the safe side I copied the existing workflow and made changes in to it . Now it comes to debugging part , Iu2019m able to find posts on SDN talks about workflow debugging . When I am entering time off request from ESS , and it is not stopping at external breakpoint , Also when I am looking at "PTARQ" to see submit WF items . It is showing me the old task "w90000012" which is original one and I copied it and my task is "w90000022" . What I have to do so when I submit time off request via ESS it calls my task . I created Task in PFTC . But nothing is happening . Please let me know what I am missing ..
I found the table for ESS leave request and able to see my task , Table name is "u2022     V_T554S_WEB"
But still waiting for answers the of above questions ...

How to set SPD workflow to send email one day before the Due Date? ?

I need to add a step in workflow for a item tracking list: send reminder email one day before the due date.
I thought there is an Action in SPD: wait for [Due Date] to equal [Today]minus one day
But there is no way to do that.
I figured may be I need to create a calculated field [cal-date] that set to: =[today] plus one day.
Then in workflow -
wait till [Due Date] is equal to [cal-date], and send an email
What is the formula for the above calculated field [Today] plus one day?

You can add an approval action( such as Start Approval Process) -> click "Approval" -> go to “Change the behavior of a single task” . Then you will
see the "When Task expires" stage.
