Remittance Rules Details - Payment Method Drop Down List

In reviewing Remittance Rule details for an HR payee, when I go to Payment method and click the drop down list are any of the listed payment methods SAP standard delivered?
I know Payment Method is configured under Financial accounting. Is there a way to tell which of the options in the drop down list is standard delivered as opposed to customized?

Go to T-code FBZP and click on Payment methods in company code.
Then go to company code US01 and there you can see the standard delivered payment methods for USA.
Any payment methods other than standard assigned to your company code are customized.

I have done the WD changes like this:
Bank Iview:
Changes done to restrict the payment method combo box.
1.Crete the simple type(PaymentMethod - Ennumeration) with values that you wanna populate(get these values and corresponding text from Back-end)
2.Create a context variable (PymtMethodFromSympleType) and attach it to the simple type PaymentMethod.
3.Attacht the PaymentMethod drop down box to context variable (PymtMethodFromSympleType).
Coding:
4.In wdDoModify()
Assign the actual payment method that is coming from back-end(Idefault value in case of new back and existing value in case of Edit) to context variable that is attached to paymentmethod drop down.
wdContext.currentContextElement().setPymtMethodFromSimpleType(wdContext.currentSelectedInfotypeElement().getZlsch());
5.Create an action for drop down box (Action PaymentMethodChange) which creates the method onActionPaymentMethodChange()
In onActionPaymentMethodChange() method Assign the vlaue of the created context element to actual back-end context variable.
wdContext.currentSelectedInfotypeElement().setZlsch(wdContext.currentContextElement().getPymtMethodFromSimpleType());
I did the testing for all scenarios in portal and it works, but I might have to check with AP as well to see it doesn't bounce at their end.

Detail region does not refresh when selecting from a drop-down list in master region

I am using DW CS3 and have updated to version 1.6.1 of Spry. Using an XML dataset, I am able to create a Spry table as the master region that links to a detail region that displays a small JPG graphic. It works fine in this format (clicking on a row displays the correct graphic). However, my table has 80 rows and requires the user to do too much scrolling. So I changed the master region to a drop-down repeat list, but the graphic does not change when a new selection is made in the drop down list. Listed below is the code produced when I used the insert Spry Repeat List. I got the same results when adding a spry:setrow="dsChartNurse". I also tried -- onclick="dsChartNurse.setCurrentRow('{ds_RowID}');" -- which again made no difference.
When I removed children from the spry:repeat, the master region displayed as a two column list of all 80 items in a drop-down list format.

Thanks for the quick reply. I did solve the problem I was having by changing from onclick to onchange in the master region. But, now I have another problem with, of course, IE. I just put in online at http://www.minursemap.org/ageDistNurse.html. When opened in IE, the drop down list displays the last entry, but the image is for the first in the list. Master detail form - drop down list in detail (ADF)

Been racking our brains for a few days/weeks about this one, and would be grateful for any pointers why this does not work.
We have developed an in-house application for dealing with risk and chemical assessments.
The process we have adopted allows users to create an assessment first then they are taken to another form where they are then able to add risk factors/ or chemicals relating to the assessment. The intention is to present the user with the ability to select from a drop down list which contains the chemical names.
We have been going through the forums and have tried all the examples we can find (all the examples work on our system), but when we try to adapt them to our approach they create an error indicating that they cannot find the values in the entity object.
Has anyone else come across the same problem or is it that the ADF is not suited to dealing with the master/detail approach and drop down menus.
The drop down lists are in an ADF table.

Thanks for the pointer, I think we tried that one early on. For the time being we have opted for using a selectInputText box, and that appears to be working. Well at least it has got us past the deadline for yesterday, now onto the next deadline.

I'm not sure you're going to be able to change this. I think (but I'm afraid I don't know for sure) the section is defined by \WEB-INF\uitemaplates\com\nakisa\manager\omg\ui\subucs\sectionDesigners\DetailHistoryButtonSectionSubUC.xhtml, which after a quick search through the application looks as though it might be populated by a NakisaTrollBin.jar ... which isn't really something you should be looking to edit.
Nakisa do often write in various settings that can allow features to be tweaked and enabled/disabled. It could be that there's something you could add into SettingsResources to apply the change you require, but you would need to contact Nakisa about this as they don't document all of these options.
All this being said I would query why this is being done. It is not uncommon to say have multiple positions with the same name - e.g. HR Administrator might exist in several org units. If you are looking through several identically named org units or positions, the unique identifier is going to be the object's ID. As such it seems most logical to me to keep the ID in the history to allow a user to discern the difference between identically named positions/org units.

Columns in af:table rendering multiple times when filtering drop-down list

Technology: JDeveloper 10.1.3.0.4 SU5, ADF Faces/BC
Page design:
Master-detail jspx.
Each section is an af:table.

Requirement:
Data in a drop-down list on a child record needs to be filtered based on data from one or more columns in the currently selected row of the parent record.
Issue:
Drop-down lists have been successfully filtered using a couple of different methods, however, any time the data from the parent record is used to filter the data the columns in the child af:table begin to render multiple times. Navigating through the parent rows may cause the child records to have the correct number of columns displayed or multiple copies of the columns displayed.
Removing any reference to the parent view object and hard-coding values instead causes this behavior to disappear.
Each of the following methods has been tried. Each filters drop-down list data correctly and each causes apparently random extra column renders.
1.     Cascading lists as per: http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/tips/mills/cascading_lists.html
2.     Drop-down list based on view object that takes parameters.
3.     Set where clause for drop down list in a method on the app module.
4.     Set where clause for drop-down list in a new selection listener method for the af:table.
Question:
Is there a solution available that will filter the drop-down lists correctly and prevent the extra columns from being rendered?

ESS - Bank Details - Payment method field

In the ESS --> Bank Details --> Payment method field , we would like to restrict the drop down values that are shown. In R/3 we (IT 0009) we have different values such as Direct deposit, Check , Cash etc.. but on the ESS we want only direct deposit to appear in the drop down value.
How can this be achieved? We are on ERP 2005 , ESS 1.0 , EP 7.0

The table "help_values" that is referred to in the code has an "Associated Type" of HRPAD_HELP_VALUE_DATA_TAB which has a "Line Type" of HRPAD_HELP_VALUE_DATA which looks like this:

When I debug, before my code executes, <tabs> has three rows and two columns:
1:   <blank> Cash Payment
2:   B        Bank Transfer
3:   Q        Payroll Checks
My code executes, deletes the "Cash Payment" line and then <tabs> has two rows and two columns:
1:   B        Bank Transfer
2:   Q        Payroll Checks
And as I said, the dropdown on the screen in the portal still has three lines. The first is blank and the second and third are "Bank Transfer" and "Payroll Checks" respectively.
Just for fun (argh!), I experimented with an additional scenario in debug mode just to see what would happen.
First, I commented out the line of code that deleted the "Cash Payment" line from <tabs> and then from within debug I manually altered the first line in <tabs> from <blank>   "Cash Payment" to "X"   "Test".
Result: The portal screen now displayed 4 values in the dropdown box. The first is still a blank line, followed by "test", "Bank Transfer" and "Payroll Checks"
So it seems that there's code somewhere down-stream that is adding the blank line if there is no record anywhere in tabs where the first field is blank. (I actually ran a couple of other tests to definitively arrive at that conclusion) Now I just have to find it.

Restricting the values in Drop Down list for ESS application

Hello Experts,
We are trying to restrict the values in the drop down list box for payment method field for direct deposit iview.
Here Payment is the Zlsch field.
here we are trying to have only 3 vlaues in the drop down. Do I have to do it from java code or can this be restricted on the ECC side?

What you have to do is create a DropDown ByIndex element instead of by Key and create a context node PaymentMethodNode and a value attribute PaymentAttribute under it ....then write the following code in the wdDoInit() method as :

How to create drop down list on a field. I am using ZCI type of form. (Abap dynpro adobe form - type ZCI)
Most of the post i have seen only refers to the setting in forms but not about the settings in interface in se80 or SFP. please give me the detail steps to create drop down field and how to populate it.
In other words is how to populate the drop down fields, where does the values come from to these fields.

Drop down list button in the WDP Abap interactive form

I wanted to implement the drop down list button in the WDP Abap interactive form. Once the users clicks on the drop down button, an RFC should be called and display the details under the drop down button. Please give me the logic with code. Its very urgent...please help me. Please note that it is in WDP Abap interactive forms. We are using NW2004S, ECC6.0.

all the UI elements in the adobe form are generally connected to your web-dynpro Context.
whatever you type in the online adobe form is reflected in the respective context attributes of the dynpro Context of the view where "ur Interactive form UI element is".
that means you can yourself fill the contents of ur interactive form by working on the get/set methods of the context attributes.
Likewise you can clear the form by setting all context attributes to blank eg ""

Displaying value only in Drop Down List

Greetings,
I have a drop down list with value:text as follows:
01:Daylight
02:Dusk
03:Dawn
04:Night
I would like to present the user who clicks on the drop down list with all of the literal text options (daylight, night, etc), but once selected, the object populate and print only the value (01, 02, etc).
I thought about resizing the object when the user clicks on it, and then resizing it back once selected, but this seems rather cumbersome. Space on the printed form is very limited, which is why the value/codes are used to represent the actual literal options.
Any methods or ideas would be greatly welcome

Here is a sample that shows what I think you want. I have a TextField that is displayed. When the user enters the field, I hide this field and make a DDlist available to the user. This DDList is placed behind the TextField and is hidden (not part of the layout) until the user enters the TextField. I also hide the TextField (this code is on the Enter event of the TextField). Now that the DDlist is visible you can set up a DDList to display one thing but report another. This is what I did (look at the binding tab of the DDList). Now when the user selects an item from the DDList the TextField is updated, the DDList is hidden and the TextField is made visisble, then the cursor is placed in the next field. This code is on the Exit event of the DDList.
Is this what you were trying to accomplish?

You want to display value based on the key selected in dropdown list. If you want to do like that
1) Create a context attribute for ex: key_value
2)In the properties of the attribute select the calculated as true.
3)It will create getter and setter methods for your attribute.
4)Go to implementation add the following code in getter method of your attribute

//KEY is your dropdown key attribute not the value attribute.
IWDAttributeInfo attributeInfo = element.node().getNodeInfo().getAttribute(attributeName);

Web UI - Value not getting selected from drop down list .

Hi All ,
I am facing a problem in one of the fields which is enhanced with a drop down functionality .
I have created the GET_V_** method and also the GET_P_** method for the same .And finally I am able to see the values in the drop down list . But the problem is , when I am trying to select a value from the drop down no values are selected .
Can anyone plese help me in this as What has to be done .
I have taken references from few guides but I am not getting any clear idea of what has to be done .

Hi Ranjita,
To trigger a round trip, you must have given the event name in GET_P method.
Same event handler would trigger.
Please put a break point in Event Handler in IMPL class, and in SET_attr method of the attribute in CN class and see if value is getting set properly or not. Final value that would be displayed on UI would be there in GET_attr method of CN class.

JSP HTML parameter form to call report - Dependent drop down list

I have a report parameter form developed using HTML & JSP to call oracle reports6i.
First parameter "STATES", Second Parameter "CITY"
I have a master-detail relation betwen STATE & CITY table.
I want the parameter form drop down lists dependant. ie if the user chang STATE value in the first drop down, the second drop down list CITY shoud
change automatically.

Vimal,
This is not functionality that's available in the Reports generated parameter form. In order to do this you'll need to build the parameter form yourself as a true HTML form and code the javascript to link the fields.

How to use multiple drop down lists and do not allow duplicates.

I am creating a roster that has multiple positions on multiple pages. I have a drop-down list that is populated with all of the employees and want to make sure that the same employee cannot be selected for multiple posts. Ideally, when one is selected in a position, that person would not be an option in the other drop-down lists. Also, when the form is published, the end user will not use the drop-down lists in order. I have found script to remove selected items, but it only works when the user makes selections in order (List1, List2, List3 etc).
First time posting, any help would be appreciated.

Look into the ring control. It behaves a lot like an enum, but you can dynamically set its contents and values associated with those contents.
