  • How to remove "ORDER BY" in OBI Answers query

It's taking a lot of time, when I choose several fields from repository and trying to watch the results. The problem is that OBI use "ORDER BY" in query, but I didn't choose sort order and even don't want to. Does anybody know how to remove it?
The physical query looks like that:
    SELECT BI_EID_BUILDING.ID_BUILDING saw_0, BI_EID_BUILDING.COUNT_LIVING_ROOM saw_1, BI_EID_BUILDING.SUM_LIVING_ROOM saw_2 FROM BTI WHERE BI_EID_BUILDING.COUNT_LIVING_ROOM < 50
    ORDER BY saw_0, saw_1

    Hay !
Go to physical layer and uncheck the ORDER_BY_ Supported for database in db feature.

  • SQL Query rewrite, remove ORDER BY clause

    Hello,
we've just installed a proprietary application which uses an Oracle 11.2.0.2 RAC database. We've seen that one of the auto-generated application's queries
has poor performance (3-5 minutes for results), the query does a SELECT and at the end it uses an ORDER BY clause. If we remove the ORDER BY clause
the query returns the results in less than 5 seconds. Unfortunately, we can't re-write the query in the application since we don't have any access to it and
i was wondering if there is a way to rewrite the specific query from the database.
We've already seen the SQL Patch but we can change only the hints of the query so we can't remove the ORDER BY clause from it. From what we've seen
outlines also change only the hints and not the actual sql statement.
Is there a way to rewrite the specific query from the database ?
    thanks in advance,
    Giannis

Maybe DBMS_ADVANCED_REWRITE can help but this a SQL question than has very likely nothing to do with RAC.

  • Cost Center Disappearing When I remove Order Reason Code

    Hello SAP Experts,
When the user removes ther order reason code and saves the order the value in the cost center disappears on the order. Anyone know why this is happening?
    Thanks,
    Patrick

    Hello,
After some testing I realized that the users picks the blank order reason code on the sales order and clicks on save. That removes any of the cost center information on the order.  The blank order reason code is not on the order reason table, it is a valid choice on the sales order. Table OVF3 is not valid since it doesn't have a blank order reason as a choice. Is there a work around?
    Thanks,
    Patrick

  • To remove orders from open order report

    Hi All.
I am dealing with third party orders scenario.
The order has been made for 10 KG... the GR has been done for 8 KGS and invoice has been created for 8 KGS.
Now because of this quantity difference between billed amont and orderd amount , this order is coming in open order report.
How to make the status of the order complete so that it wont come in the open order report?
    Points are assured
    Thanks & Regards

    Hi
You need Short close the sales order individually or if you need to do it collectively gthen you need to get a program developed for short closing the order based on the requirenment
for individual go to VA02, got to reason of rejection TAB and assign a reason of rejection for the line items which are open  and save

  • Endless Issues and inconvenience while ordering a New iPhone

    05/22/2014
I had ordered a new Verizon Wireless iPhone 5c 16GB White with "1GB Unlimited Talk and Text Plan - $60 a month 2yr contract" on the internet. (Removed)
I had given the authorization for charging my credit card but it was not charged as they needed to perform a credit check.
On the following day, I provided with my passport copy and my social security copy.
    05/29/2014
For the next 7 days I did not get any communication from Verizon. So, I decided to check up with the Customer Care Department. And, found out that they have not processes the order yet as they needed a Visa copy as well. (I wonder why didn't anybody mailed/texted me regarding this all this time)
I asked the Customer Care, that since the order is not processed. I would like to change my order to iPhone 5s 16GB Silver. They agreed and said that we are attaching a note and this will be done.
I provided the Visa Copy and called the Customer Care again. They confirmed the receipt of my Visa copy. I asked them to confirm the order as I had requested for a change of device. They said "it says an iPhone 5s 16GB Silver".
Later in the evening, I got an email saying that your iPhone 5c 16GB White has been shipped (Whereas I was confirmed that it was changed to iPhone 5s 16GB Silver).
I was charged  $106.99 on my card account
    Order Number: 1298101
    Order Location: 1434901
    05/30/2014
On the following day, I called up the customer care again and asked them whether it was just the email or you have actually shipped an iPhone 5c. And, they said, an iPhone 5c has been shipped to you. Then I told them how I was confirmed that it was changed and I no longer wanted an iPhone 5c.
They said they understand and apologize. They asked me to refuse the shipment and have it sent back. And, call us again so that we can ship the correct one.
When the FedEx guy arrived, I did just that. I refused. And, called the customer care.
Now one needs to understand every time I am calling the customer care I have to explain the whole case again. (Can't you maintain notes from the last conversation tagged to an order?)
So, the real problem now starts. Customer care tells me that she can only restock and upgrade for which you will have to pay a restocking fee of $35 for now along with the iPhone 5s cost. But you can get it refunded later once you receive the phone (as a credit in your account). I clearly told her that please make sure that I get an iPhone 5s 16GB Silver. And, she confirmed. She said you will have to make a fresh payment for now.
I was charged $248.99  on my account
She also told me that once your returned shipment reaches us, we will refund your $106.99 to the same card.
After disconnecting, I realized that in the last 7 days, the iPhone 5s prices have been slashed by $100. So, the new order should still be of the lesser price ($106.99) but not 248.99
Then, I got an email saying that an order has been placed for an iPhone 5s 32 GB Silver (I had just now requested and confirmed that iPhone 5s 16GB Silver be shipped to me).
    Order Number: (Removed)
    Order Location: (Removed)
All this happened in less than 5 minutes. Now I called the Customer Care again. Explained my whole story to a new representative. She asked me to hold and hung up. I called up again, and explained the whole story once more. This call lasted over 45 minutes.
So, now I am told that my order has been cancelled. And, she has initiated a case to take care of this whole thing with getting refunds and getting the right order. I asked her to confirm that this will be taken care of and the 32GB iPhone 5s would not ship like the 16GB iPhone 5c did. I asked her to give her word. She said yes, the order is cancelled. Once the cancellation is complete, the money would flow back (as in a credit balance) and then they would create a fresh order. for iPhone 5s 16GB Silver.
I asked her how I would know, will I get any notifications. She said you will know when the new order will be places and shipped.
I am relieved. Later in the evening, when I return from work, I get a mail saying that your iPhone 5s 32GB Silver has been shipped (This order was supposedly cancelled)
I am sorry to say that Verizon's Customer Care staff is ill informed about their own system and make incorrect statements based on their know-how of the system.
    Cutting the crap short:
    1. I ordered iPhone 5c 16 GB White. I changed it to iPhone 5s 16 GB Silver before the order was processed. Paid $106.99.
    2. I still received an iPhone 5c 16GB White. I returned the parcel with FedEx (Declined).
    3. I called up to cancel what has been delivered and order iPhone 5s 16 GB Silver (New price is slashed by $100).
    4. Paid $248.99 (including a $35 Restocking Fee to be refunded later) and got a mail saying that iPhone 5s 32GB Silver (and not 16GB) has been ordered.
    5. I immediately called up to cancel once again. Was assured that the order has been cancelled. And, I will get the new order with iPhone 5s 16GB Silver and due refunds.
    6. I get a mail that iPhone 5s 32 GB Silver has been shipped. (I have been asking for an iPhone 5s 16GB Silver)
    Now, I have paid $106.99 + $248.99 = $355.98. I still do not have a phone. And, I know a model (iPhone 5s 32GB) that I NEVER ordered is on the way.
Can someone take this up seriously? Refund me $248.99 and make sure I get an iPhone 5s 16GB Silver?
I have been through enough trauma explaining my case to at least 12 different customer care and order department representatives. And, I am still far off from getting the product and service promised.
I have no energy and patience left to explain to customer care again and again. Please ensure that this is followed up properly.
You already have my mail id and contact number. Feel free to get in touch.
    Thanks,

I think I have very clearly mentioned. Stop being uselessly judgemental.
I ordered 5c on the internet. And, the order was not approved as I was yet provide documentation for credit check.
When I found that it is not yet processed, I asked the customer care if I can change the order as it is not yet complete And, they confirmed "yes, sure .. u can". Only, then I asked them to change it to 5s.
This is the only change I made. The order was then attached with a note that customer has requested for a 5s 16gb silver.
But when the order actually got processed, this note was overlooked and the original order shipped.
Now, I never asked for 5s 32gb. I was advised by Verizon to refuse the delivery and order a new phone by calling tele-sales. I did just that. It would be on records that during the call I said multiple times that I want to order (upgrade to) iPhone 5s 16gb silver.
But somehow, the sales rep. ordered a 32gb. I realized this only after I got a shipment tracking mail.
So, now I called again to cancel it.
I made only one change and that too after being advised that it is totally possible to change the order. As during the 7 day period I had realized that 5s prices have been slashed. For the whole week (22 to 29), my order was is suspension.
Had I cancelled the order by not providing the documents and ordered a new phone. There would not have been any glitch. But only because I asked to change the existing order, I invited trouble. As that change was never made as promised.

  • ORDER BY ON INDEX COLUMN IS TAKING MORE TIME

    Hi,
The following SQL query when executed with ORDER BY is taking 3 mins. If we remove ORDER BY it is taking 32 secs. We have an index on ID which is used in ORDER BY clause. Can any one tell us what could be wrong? My assumption is ORDER BY on an index column should not take that much of time. Is there any configuration that we need to make or missing?
    We are on 11g R2.
    Query is
    SELECT * FROM (SELECT /*+ FIRST_ROWS */ a.*, ROWNUM rnum  FROM
(SELECT DISTINCT ENTITYID AS a1, ENTITYCLASS AS a2, STARTDATE AS a3, ENDDATE AS a4, EXTERNALOBJECTID AS a5, LASTMODIFIEDUSER AS a6, ID AS a7, PARTITION AS a8,    DESCRIPTION AS a9, NAME AS a10, PERMISSIONS AS a11, CREATEDDATE AS a12, ACTIVITY AS a13, ENTITYVERSION AS a14, EXTERNALNAME AS a15, NOSPEC AS a16,

CREATEDUSER AS a23, SPECIFICATION AS a24 FROM Service WHERE (ENTITYCLASS = 'SERVICEDAO') ORDER BY ID ASC)
a WHERE ROWNUM <= 25) WHERE rnum > 0Here is the explain plan link

  • Order by clause in Sub query

    Hi,
Can we use order by clause in Sub query?
While using the order by clause, I am getting the "missing expression error" . If I remove order by clause query executing fine.
    Here is my query:
    select *
    from emp_mstr
    where emp_no in(select
    emp_no
    from emp_mstr
    order by branch_no);
    Thanks & Regards,
    Mahi

May be you miss some required spaces also, other than wrong use of ORDER BY
    select *
    from emp_mstr
    where emp_no in
         ( select e2.emp_no
           from emp_mstr e2
    --       order by e2.branch_no
);Why do you want to ORDER BY in the subquery, which you use with IN clause? That will not make any difference in the result..Means the result you get with ORDER BY will be same as without that.. And in this case, ORDER by is a unncessary overhead.. And Ordering is very costly..
And why do you want to have the IN clause at all in your query? You are referring the same tables in the main query and sub query..
The below will give the same result
    select *
    from emp_mstr
where emp_no is not nullIf you want to use another table in the subquery, always use aliasess...
    select *
    from emp_mstr
    where emp_no in
         ( select e2.emp_no
           from emp_mstr2 e2
    --       order by e2.branch_no
         );

  • Problem in sql query because of order by clause

    Hi All,
I am facing a one problem in my one sql query.I am using Oracle 10gR2.
    Query is given below:
    SELECT t1.ename
            FROM T1, T2
           WHERE T1.EMPNO = 1234
             AND T1.ACCOUNTNO = T2.ACCOUNTNO
             AND T1.SEQ = T2.SEQ
ORDER BY T2.SEQThe Plan of the query is :
    | Id  | Operation                     | Name                 | Rows  | Bytes | Cost (%CPU)| Time     |
    |   0 | SELECT STATEMENT              |                      |     2 |   218 | 11716   (1)| 00:00:41 |
    |*  1 |  TABLE ACCESS BY INDEX ROWID  | T1                   |     1 |    89 |     1   (0)| 00:00:01 |
    |   2 |   NESTED LOOPS                |                      |     2 |   218 | 11716   (1)| 00:00:41 |
    |*  3 |    TABLE ACCESS BY INDEX ROWID| T2                   |     2 |    40 | 11715   (1)| 00:00:41 |
    |   4 |     INDEX FULL SCAN           | PK_T2_SEQ            | 58752 |       |   122   (5)| 00:00:01 |
    |*  5 |    INDEX RANGE SCAN           | FK_ACCOUNTNO         |     3 |       |     0   (0)| 00:00:01 |
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Now i want to reduce the time of this query.
If i am removing Order by clause from query than performance of the query is totally perfect but with order by clause its taking a time.
I have already set SORT_AREA_SIZE but still nothing is improving.
Welcome and thanks for your suggestions.

    Hi,
There are a couple of things I do not understand.
    1. Why don't you put {noformat}{noformat} around your code, it makes it so much easier to read, especially your explain plan
    2. You claim that the ORDER BY is problematic compared to no order by. Then why do you choose to post only one plan?
    3. It is hard to understand how your tables relate, and which indexes you have and which you don't.
    - PK_T2_SEQ, does this mean that SEQ alone is primary key of T2?
    - If SEQ is primary key of T2, why do you join on accountno, seq and not just seq?
    - If SEQ is primary key of T2 one of the tables is denormalized.
    4. FK_ACCOUNTNO, is this an index on accountno, alone?
    - Or is this AccountNo, Seq?
    5. Is there no index on T1.EMPNO?
Above could of course just be a case of my not understanding the names of your indexes.
    So, here are my guesses:
Above plan is for the ORDER BY query. That means the optimizer, has chosen to full scan PK_T2_SEQ, since data is then read according to the ORDER BY.
(This could be a bad choice)I
You could try and order by t1.seq, instead. Result should be the same.
    Regards
    Peter

  • Analytical function count(*) with order by Rows unbounded preceding

    Hi
I have query about analytical function count(*) with order by (col) ROWS unbounded preceding.
If i removed order by rows unbouned preceding then it behaves some other way.
Can anybody tell me what is the impact of order by ROWS unbounded preceding with count(*) analytical function?
Please help me and thanks in advance.

    Sweety,
CURRENT ROW is the default behaviour of the analytical function if no windowing clause is provided. So if you are giving ROWS UNBOUNDED PRECEDING, It basically means that you want to compute COUNT(*) from the beginning of the window to the current ROW. In other words, the use of ROWS UNBOUNDED PRECEDING is to implicitly indicate the end of the window is the current row
The beginning of the window of a result set will depend on how you have defined your partition by clause in the analytical function.
If you specify ROWS 2 preceding, then it will calculate COUNT(*) from 2 ROWS prior to the current row. It is a physical offset.

  • Can I get an update on my order?

I ordered a Apple iPhone 6 Plus 128GB Space Gray on October 25th, and have received NO communication from Verizon. I check daily on the status from my account and the link provided from the original order, as that is all I have.
From My Verizon account all I see is the order.
When I use the link (see above) the order number doesn't exist, only the pre-order confirmation number give me this: We received your order and it is in process.
Then based on posts here the new date for shipping is today.
I understand delays, and not anticipating the number of orders, but receiving some communication would be just simple good customer service. I have been with Verizon for 10 years, I recommend Verizon to friends and family. I have very few issues with my service, and in the past have always had a good experience. This is disappointing.

We know everyone is super exited about these amazing phones. As your order moves through the process, you can check the status at http://bit.ly/RjmCUB. You may not be able to see a change from Processing until it officially ships, then you'll see the tracking number. If you've received a confirmation email that your order was submitted, any additional information throughout the fulfillment process will be sent to that same email address. We greatly apologize for the delay and as soon as we get the device it will be sent.

I am not sure about the error in master record. Where can I see it and how can I save it when it gives error message. Regarding Debugging can you explain in more details.
Will appreciate your response. There were batch jobs associated too.
