Remove Browser Toolbar, Menubar, Statusbar, Scrollbar

Hi,
When we run forms 10g R2 application in browser (IE) it open the forms in browser window and so give less space to forms screen. So i need to maximize the container size and hence i need to remove Browser (IE) toolbar, menuar, statusbar, scrollbar.
NOTE: i cannot use parameter "separateFrame=true" (Please give help other than this)
I though of using a html file that will call another html file which can be same a base html files used by oracle AS container............ but DBA told me that in Container we can set the first thing to be run as ONLY ".fmx" or ".mmx"
so i cannot use my html file .......... he says.
I read "Deploying forms application on web" on OTN documents for Oracle 10g R2 but i am not able to get it to work using it....... may be because i am not able to digest it.
So i would request you guys to please first understand the above and then provide me any help you can.
I would try it out and post in here again.
Thanks and Regards.

HOpe this helps
Solution
The concept of a root window is no longer used in Oracle Forms Release 5 and later. However, for purposes of forward compatibility, the name ROOT_WINDOW, the associated properties and built-ins, and the root window behavior are still supported.
A root window displays the console for the currently-active form in your application. Creating a root window in a form is optional, and is used most often in multiple-form applications (which are designed to run several form modules simultaneously). A root window has special characteristics. In a multiple-form application, using a root window allows you to have a single window that always displays the console for the currently-active form. This is an advantage only on platforms other than Microsoft Windows, since on Microsoft Windows the console always appears on the MDI application window.
Due to the root window's unique characteristics, some of its properties have fixed settings.
Overriding these settings in Oracle Forms has no effect on the window's runtime behavior.
The properties (and their default settings) are as follows:
Closeable (Yes)
Fixed Size (No)
Iconifiable (Yes)
Inherit Menu (Yes)
Movable (Yes)
Name Remove on Exit (No)
Style (Document)
Vertical/Horizontal Scroll Bar (No)
Zoomable (Yes)
In Forms 9i/10g, however you can use a custom Java Bean to prevent or allow the end users to Resize / Maximize/ Minimize a MDI Window.
The Java Bean (and the example on how to use it) is available at:

  • I really would like to know how to totally remove Yahoo toolbar from my Firefox browser as well as my computer. I don't like those special toolbars at all.

    I really would like to know how to totally remove Yahoo toolbar from my Firefox browser as well as my computer. I don't like special toolbars at all. I find it irritating that you included one in the newest version of your browser. In the future I would hope you would leave this or any other out. Firefox used to be my favorite browser to use, now I am not going to want to use it because of the extra toolbar. Please tell me there is a way to remove this, not just hide it.

    You can't move the Yahoo Toolbar from IE to Firefox, they are totally different "behind the scenes". However you can install it, [http://us.toolbar.yahoo.com/ http://us.toolbar.yahoo.com/] and I believe if you log in with your Yahoo account it will sync your data.

  • Remove toolbars, menus and scrollbars

    How do i remove the toolbars, menus ,scroll bars and status bar from a browser window. I'm basically looking for a re-sizable pop-up window to stream content into. Thanks.

    Dreamweaver has a Behavior to open a new browser window and there are options to set for just this.  However, depending on the client, it may be considered a pop-up and it could potentially be blocked.  Have you considered a JQuery modal window option like FancyBox ( http://fancybox.net/ ) or the JQuery UI modal dialog ( http://jqueryui.com/demos/dialog/ )?  This way no new window opens, but you still isolate the movie on the user's screen.

  • Right click problem: I did not know about the Yahoo sidebar issue, I have removed all toolbars from my browser from 'view' menu. There is nothing in my 'extensions' to disable. Right click is not working. What to do?

    Right clicking is not working on any of the websites. I read up that it's a Yahoo sidebar issue. But, in my extentions, Yahoo sidebar is not there. I had removed all toolbars, but from 'view' menu. Now how do I get my right click to work?

  • Remove the toolbar for the LSO Content Player Window.

    Hi All,
            We are implementing SAP LSO. In the BSP Application HCM_Learning, I am able to run the course by clicking on link 'Start Now'. The BSP page related to this is "Training Home.htm".
    Now a new window popup up ( ie) the content player popup in a new window and plays the course. I want to remove the toolbar from this new popup window.
    I changed the toolbar value from yes to no in the Function Popup() defined .
    function popup(t, b)
             thePopup = window.open (b,t,"toolbar=no,menubar=no,width=300,height=250,scrollbars,resizable");
              thePopup.focus();
    But still i'm getting that toolbar in the popup window.
    How can i resolve this.?
    Please give me your valuable inputs.
    Thanks,
    Eben Joyson.

    Hey Ravi,
    Thanks for sharing your perspective.
    After thinking further about the real estate question, I believe that, at least in the US, most instructional designers aim to present content at 800x600 pixel size.  This accounts for differing monitor sizes, etc.  If this is the case, then good instructional design (e.g. don't put too much content on a screen at once) should assure that content could be played in-line (in the BSP page).  Since the navigational controls are at the bottom, that wouldn't have any effect on width of the page and could also be accommodated.
    I'm still of the opinion that SAP LSO (and all leading LMS systems) should evolve to presenting content in the base window.  Perhaps there are some extreme exceptions where the extra real estate would make a true difference.  In that case, perhaps the learner should be offered an LSO learner setting where they can choose to display content in-line or in a separate window....let them decide   Alternatively, one could offer the Training Administrator an infotype setting where they specify whether the content should be displayed in-line (default) versus in a separate popup (this could be used on an exception basis).

  • Has anyone hidden the browser toolbars etc. via the UI screen?.

    I'm trying to implement a development feature (only) so that on pressing a button I can display as much of the screen as possible by disabling the browser toolbars etc. By doing this I can gain at least three extra rows on the screen, and I suspect there other things that can be removed to reveal more of the screen. I'm currently using CRM 2007 and I'm getting a little miffed with having to keep scrolling down the screen to view SLA info etc., when it could all easily fit the screen.
    Anyone?.

    Thanks Kevin,
    I'm going to come back to this later as it might be an option that we want to retain for the users, however,  in the meantime I'll use a Windows macro tool to control this. Finding the right macro tool is a real chore though as they all advertise to be free but then you find that you have to pay for them. Finding an open source and portable one (administrator rights not required) is even  harder, but I'll get one eventually.
    There is an add-in for both IE and Firefox called i-Macro, but unfortunately it requires Administration access to install. Doh!, the same hurdle hit again and again. Why someone would allocate a laptop to anyone and not give them admin access is beyond me. After all they will just completely blitz the laptop and re-install the OS when it is returned.
    It does sound like I can do this via some kind of HTML or java code within the BSP. I may investigate this later.
    With regards
    Gary

  • Creating a page (a) small size (b) no browser toolbar

    This question is very elementary but I just want to get on
    with my project, not do a major self-education exercise!
    I want to create what I call a "definition window." That is,
    when a site user clicks a link to. for example, get a definition of
    a word, a small window pops up, big enough for a definition, and
    with no controls at all except to minimise or close the window - in
    particular, no browser toolbar.
    I can find examples on other websites, but either they don't
    give a "view source" possibility, or the source doesn't tell me how
    to do it.
    The key thing is that the window opens in a small size. Lack
    of browser toolbar is desirable, but not essential.
    Any clues how to do this would be very welcome.
    With many thanks
    Andy

    I know that it's late for this thread and you may never see

  • How to remove browser warning message in HTML 5 Cap 6 projects?

    Hello,
    Is there any way to remove the following pop-up message from published HTML 5 Captivate 6 projects?
    Adobe Captivate
    This browser does not support some of the content in the file you are trying to view. Use one of the following browsers:
    Internet Explorer 9 or later
    Safari 5.1 or later
    Google Chrome 17 or later
    Our Blackboard 9.1 tech analysts recommend that all students use Firefox, and I'd rather that they don't have to read the above warning message every time they open a module. (The module did work as expected, even in Firefox.)
    Thank you,
    JAB

    Changing .ini is the advice eventually given in the Phonegap forum. (Browser compatibility error in Captivate conversions).
    But there's a much simpler solution offered at the bottom of this page - just a few lines of code at the end of
    function initializeCP() { in the index.html file header.

    Even better, that blog post also shows how to remove the play button for autoplay and make touch response times faster (for mobiles) - refer to blog for how.
    var _onComplete = cp.complete;
    cp.complete = function() {
        _onComplete();
        $("#CPUnSupportedBrowserWarning_ID").remove(); // Removes browser warning
        setTimeout(function() {
            cp.movie.play(); // Skips the play button

  • How to remove browser warning message in HTML 5 Cap 8 projects?

    How to remove browser warning message in HTML 5 Cap 8 projects?

    My conclusion after a morning struggling with this, is that there's no point in suppressing the message if your html5 content then goes on to misbehave in Firefox (like mine does).  I've chosen to keep the popup, but change the wording to refer Firefox users to a completely separate Flash version.  The wording of the popup is also in CPM.js.
    Before you all shout at me, no I can't use the multiscreen.html approach, because my Flash version will have to be non-rescaleable, because web objects don't rescale in Flash.

    hello, please go to the firefox ''menu ≡ > addons > extensions'' & remove any suspicious entries (toolbars, things that you have not installed intentionally, don't know what purpose they serve, etc).
    also go to the windows control panel / programs and remove all toolbars or potentially unwanted software from there.
    finally, run a full scan of your system with different security tools like the [http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free free version of malwarebytes] & [http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/ adwcleaner].

    archhe, do you see a bar at the top of your Firefox window containing items like '''File''', '''Edit''', '''View''' etc? The '''Tools''' item is on the same bar towards the right side.
    In case you are not able to view this bar, do the following: press the '''Alt''' key on your keyboard. Keeping this pressed, type the following keys in this order: V T M.
    I hope you should be able to view the '''Tools''' item now on the top bar of Firefox.
