Remove moviePlayer with a overlay button

HI, im new with xcode and development for iPhone/iPod...
i have a code modificated from MoviePlayer example...
i have a movie with a button overlay and i want to go to another view when push the button, like self ... addSubview!
how can remove the moviePlayer view? with removeFromSuperview doesnt works...

Here's a great way to learn how to change views by pressing a button:
Start a new Xcode project and select iPhone OS, Application, Utility Application.
This will give you the base code and IB elements of a button and two views, MainView and FlipsideView...
If you still have questions after trying this out, post 'em here...

Hello, (I posted this yesterday but as a part of a created and solved question that is the reason I decided to create my own's)
I have a menu and I want to link it to a two different tracks so I use two buttons. The problems is that I only can link one overlay button to the menu so what can I do with the second button if I want it to work exactly as the first button -the one that is overlayed to the menu-?

Yes you should put all of your buttons onto a single overlay file. See this tutorial on how to do that;

Adding and removing children with buttons

So I've been following this tutorial (http://www.danfergusdesign.com/classfiles/oldClasses/VCB331-richMedia1/exercises/addingChi ldren.php) on how to add and remove children with buttons in order to create a popup box on the stage.
The part I'm having trouble with is how I add the close button to the stage on top of the popup box.
This is basically what I'm trying to do:

Why not just make the close button part of the object you are adding. You can assign it an event listener thru that object after it is created.

Hello, I have iMac from Oct, 2010 and have OS 10.6.7 and multiple users. Mail icon was accidently removed along with program. Mail 4.4 is on other users but when I reloaded software my user got Mail 4.3. Mail 4.3 did not work with latest OS. Ideas?Matt

Hello, I have iMac Itel i3, from Oct, 2010 and have OS 10.6.7 and multiple users.
About 3-4 days ago the Mail icon in dock had question mark and was accidently removed, along with program on my user. Oops.
1. Mail 4.4 is on other users and works fine, but for me it does not work and tells me V4.3 does not work with latest OS X.
2. I reloaded software from my user with original disks (Oct, 2010) and got Mail 4.3 again. Mail 4.3 did not work with latest OS. I am unable to load Mail. Gives Yellow error message.
" You have Mail version 4.3 (1081/1084). It can’t be used on Mac OS X Version 10.6.7 (Build 10J869). For more information, click the Help button."
3. Tried to update software and look for update for mail 4.3 on Apple site to no success.
Hate to go to MS-Entorage ( I may need to learn something new and alien) mail program since contracts are in Mail/Address Book.
Ideas?

Can't open a new tab with the + for tabs. Can open with Mid mouse button. Nightly.

When I click The + to open a new tab in Nightly, it does nothing. I can open new tabs with mid ouse button, or right click>open in new tab. Just cant open a new tab via the + button. Started 3 updates ago in nightly (3 days ago pretty much).

Are you using a 32 bit Nightly build or a 64 bit Nightly build?
The 64 bit Nightly build for Windows is only generated to test for compilation errors and doesn't undergo all the tests that other builds get, so the risk that something goes wrong can be quite high.<br />
So if you do use the 64 bit version then try the 32 bit version to see if you still have this problem.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

Anyone have issues with their power button on the 928?

I've had my 928 replaced once already and now the power button has decided it only wants to work occasionally. I love the phone especially the camera and sound and video quality of the recordings it makes. I have developer preview on it so I have the 8.1 update so no gripes there... Also VZW reps since it's still under warranty (I have total equipment coverage as well) can I have it replaced? It has a small scuff on the bottom of the back side and when I say small I mean small enough I could remove it with a polishing wheel on a dremel and make that dissappear completely.... I can't afford to send it off or anything so a replacement mailed to me and sending this one in (again) is my only option as I use it for business.

I'd love to help you figure this out! Normal wear and tear does not void the warranty, but damage such as a crack or a break would. Since we are unable to see the device, if you are unsure, we suggest bringing it in to the Verizon store for an evaluation.

Hi all I am having some dificulty with a submit button for emailing a PDF

I am using Adobe Livecycle Designer ES 8.2 to create an order form with a submit by email button at the end.
The button works fine and emails the form to sales@*.ie. My problem is the form is editable by the receipt which I dont want.
Is there a way of creating a pre submit script to change the file to read only or non-interactive and removing the print and submit buttons.
I have been at this for hours and have looked every where and have not found anything.
I am new to this and would appreciate the help.

PDF Form with a reset button

I designed an interactive pdf form for a company with a reset button. If someone fills it out then sends it to someone, what's stopping the receipient from hitting the reset button and erasing the info the person sent them.

If you don't want the end user to be able to reset the form at all, you can set up the form so that the user who populates the form before sending it to the recipient sets the default value of the fields equal to the field value, sets the fields to read-only, and removes the reset button. The recipient won't be able to clear the form at all or interact with the fields. They could also flatten the form, which converts the fields to regular page contents, so there are no longer fields present that can be reset. You would also want to remove the Reset button so that it doesn't appear on the page. This can all be done through a script, but Reader is not able to flatten fields.
If you need specifics, post again.

I converted an album to a slideshow: I exported it, selecting itunes as an export option. A window comes up that says iphoto at the top, but nothing happens. Also, this window will not close with the red button - I have to "force quit" and reopen iphoto

I can't seem to export a slideshow from iPhoto. I go through the export routine, but an iPhoto page comes up with other slideshows I've sent to iTunes, but nothing happens. I've waited, hoping something was happening, but nothing does. Further, once this page is up, you can't click out of it with the red button - to get it off the screen, I have to "force quit".

With Firefox 23 and TabMixPlus 0.4.1.0 installed, an additional box is added to the Tabs options panel that allows 3 options for the tab bar:

I display a progress bar with a "Cancel" button while the script is running. I can stop the script by pressing the "Esc" key but I would like to stop the script process with the "Cancel" button. What kind of command/event can I add to the button for doing this ?

Trouble with advanced overlay colors

I'm creating some buttons in photoshop that require advanced overlay colors. For some reason I cant get dvdsp to respond to anything other than black or white as a highlight. I have the grey settings right as far as I can tell ( 66%, 33%, or 168, 168, 168- 84, 84, 84) but I just dont have any seperate control over those areas in the button. The best I've gotten is out of a solid gray triangle, I can get the slightest impression of it when I set that gray to 15 opacity and a bright color.
any ideas?

I'm not trying to make a layered menu. In fact, really I'm not even trying to make a menu with an overlay, although maybe that is the only way to achieve what I'm trying (which may not really be worth it at this point, but I'm trying to figure out exactly how it works).
Maybe I've made incorrect assumptions about how to work with buttons, highlights and overlays. Hopefully someone can set me straight.
When you make a custom button, it is a 4 layer psd. The highlight layer's black content becomes the highlight of the button and you can adjust the highlights appearance using the sliders in the inspector when set to "simple overlay colors". Logically, and with the sort of obtuse explanation in the manual, I'm under the impression that I could switch to advanced overlay colors, take that highlight layer, make it a grayscale image and manipulate the various tones individually. Am I wrong to think this? Is the only proper way to do this by setting an overlay on the entire menu?

how do I edit the toolbars? for example remove the open and create button. with the customize feature I can only find a way to edit the tool set, but I want to edit and rearrange the whole toolbars, that I have only the features needed on one row, instead of the default two rows.

Is Z3 compatible with any 3 button in-line remote?

Hi, I have a Z3 and am looking for some decent (£60-£110) earphones with a 3 button in-line remote control.
I was looking at the Nocs NS500 but it says on their webpage that the Z3 doesn't support 3 button remote controls with 4 poles...
am I stuck with single button in-line remote controls?

I'd like to find headphones with volume control and answer/end button as well. I would really like to get the MDR-NC31E noise cancelling ones, but if I have understood correctly, they don't even have answer button. I don't really undertand, what is the point of handsfree set which you can't use to answer calls.
So yeah, I could even live without volume, but if you have ever tried to keep your phone in the inside pocket of your winter coat in Finland in February, you start to understand why it is nice to be able to control the volume and answer calls without removing half of your clothing.
Should I just stick to my crappy Lumia headphones? (Not that crappy, really, the call button just doesn't work with my Sony phone.)

has anyone been able to remove the Personalize and Filter On buttons found in the new Employee Search / Teamviewer? How would I go about doing this. I haven't found it anywhere in the code and I haven't found a config option for it. Perhaps I've stepped right over it tho.

To remove the personlize button I was able to create a custom column group through SPRO and add the two columns I wanted to see to in that group. I set them both to visible with no other options checked. This in turn removed the personalize button as the only two fields that could be displayed were forced on ... no other options.
The removal of the "Filter On" button is no longer a requirement.

JFrame with out icon buttons

Hi all,
Is there a way to make a JFram with out the buttons at the upper left and upper right (unix), the ones that min/max the frams on the right and the
pull down on the left ?
Also, I know you can make the JFrame not resizable but can you lock it in place in the screen so users can not move it around ?
