I'd like to be able to remove a series from the legendor perhaps there's another way to crack this nut... in a stacked-bar chart, we want a trendline for the sum of the stacked bars (i.e. the top of each stack). In Excel, I did this by adding a series that was the sum of the bars in a stack and added a trendline based on that series. I set the series to be transparent, deleted it from the legend (which one can easily do in Excel), and everything was great. I've figured out how to do all of this in Crystal, except delete the legend entry for the transparent series (and add the trendline to the legendbut that's a question in a separate post).

If you just want to display a datalabel which is the sum of each stack , this functionality is built into the product. Go to right-mouse-menu ChartOptions and then the DataLabels tab and then select "Show Totals".

You're almost certainly better off with a List implementation, though. Whether you use LinkedList or ArrayList should depend on your usage specifics, but from the limited information provided it seems that LinkedList would be a better choice. -
Color Problem when Aadding/Removing series from Chart
Is it possible to define the color of the series to add in a Chart?
Actually, the color seems to be defined in a precise order by the chart itself when adding the series. I think there's a list of predefined colors and for each series added to the chart, it take the next color of the list. Then, when we remove a series, the pointer in that list of colors is decremented.
That behavior does not suit me. If i remove a series and add it again there are cases where two series can have the same color...
Example:
add series 1 - color blue
add series 2 - color red
add series 3 - color cyan
remove series 2
add series 2 - color cyan
series 2 and 3 have the same color
(you can test this behavior)
So is there a mean to avoid this problem and set the color of series ourself?
ThanksIf you search the http://javafx-jira.kenai.com you will come across quite a few open bugs to do with dynamically modifying charts by adding and removing series and data - so I guess, if you are currently using this feature, then proceed with caution (and don't use the chart animation feature) until they are fixed (and log new issues if yours is not already captured).

Removing iPad from otterbox case
In response to an earlier post about removing residue from an iPad screen, I was going to try the warm water on a cloth approach but I can't get the iPad out of the case now:). I have the commuter series I think is what it's called, it's the cheaper of the two otterbox iPad cases. I was going to try to clean my screen but I can't get the iPad out of the case to do it:). If anyone has any instruction on how to remove it I would greatly appreciate it
While I don't have that case, I have the Defender case, I also had an issue like this when I first got my case.
My trouble, and maybe yours, was that I had somehow left some adhesive from the screen sticker on the face of the protector. That had bonded to the case front.
If you suspect this is your problem then I would suggest that you very, very gently warm the case with a hairdryer to loosen the glue. YMMV If you ruin your case, iPad, burn down the house, start a riot or instigate a small war then let it be know it is not my fault. You accept all responsibility on yourself.
But think about it you only have so many options:
Heat
Liquid
Mechanical
all could go wrong and anything could happen. Examine what is going on and see if the above suggestion applies.
Oh and you could just ask the vendor as I have found them to be very helpful and willing to ensure you are happy with their product. I know I am. -
HOW to remove myself from a friend who is group texting?
OMG. My friend started a group texting conversation at 7:20 this morning and included me in it. Now i'm getting everyone's replies and my phone is going off, of course. Please.... how do i remove myself from this series of text messages? (without having to ask everyone to stop texting.. or for all of them to remove my number? I don't think they would do it anyway since they do not know me)
Unfortunately your address has been included in a list sent to all of the other original recipients, and there's no provision for sending a message from your phone to all the other recipients informing them to remove you from the list they received. If they want to reply directly to the message, it will be to the entire list.
This is identical to when you receive an email message with multiple recipients. Email applications, however, have separate "Reply" and "Reply to All" actions which are not available in default text messaging apps. The only option is "Reply to All". I suspect additional functionality might be found in 3rd party messaging apps and in future OS updates. -
Unable to remove product from My Support Profile
Good Evening. I have an iPhone 4S. I will be giving this phone to a family member. I have followed Apples on-line instructions on What to do before selling or giving away your iPhone. (phone has been re-set to factory settings and removed from iCloud). I then visited the Apple My Support Profile page, it listed the iPhone 4S and the Serial Number. I then clicked on Remove Product but this function does not appear to be working (the status indicator just keeps spinning). I need to be able to remove this from my profile. Any suggestions? Thanks so much (note: for some reason, I was not able to post this under iPhone community?)
If that happened to me, I would try the following series of steps:
Connect your iPhone to iTunes. Go to the iPhone's Music tab in iTunes. Uncheck the "Sync Music" so the music will not be synced. Click "Apply" in the lower right.
The previous step should have removed all music from your iPhone. But you will probably find the old songs/albums remaining behind. Delete them from your iPhone.
Check the "Sync Music" box in iTunes again and "Apply" again. That should reload all music from iTunes to your iPhone and solve the issue. -
Can I remove Itunes from my computer totallty abnd reinstall it without losing my media?
Do a backup of your iTunes library files first to a external hardisk. (ie all your music files)

If your iTunes is earlier than 9 series, the library folder location need to be changed.

I just bought Aperture and have watched the tutorials on Lynda and Apple. I have a question that is probably very simple but the solution is alluding me.
For example: Say I started a project and called it, Friends. I put everything in it because I just bought a new camera and was playing around learning Aperture and the new cam. When the project started to get large I created more Projects and Albums within them. I know I can remove pics from the albums but how do I do it from the Project folder? When I try it removes them permanently. So now in my Friends Project I have 133 pics of everything I took but only two albums counting about 50 pics total.

RobI am sorry but I do not really understand your specific question.
Visualize it this way:
Image files live in Projects. An Album is a virtual grouping of "pointers" to images that live in various Projects. There are no actual image files in an Album, just pointers.
You can move images from one Project to another Project; also you can copy an image from one Project to another Project. You can make all kinds of Albums for all kinds of reasons at very low overhead; Albums are a powerful concept.

Cisco Prime 2.1, Removing Subgroup from Group in the Device Work Centre
Hi All,
I am having trouble removing a Device Group from within a Group in Cisco Prime.
In short, there is a group called 'Cisco 3850 Series Ethernet Stackable Switch' which exists under both the 'Wireless Controller' group and the 'Switches and Hubs' group. I want to remove it from the 'Wireless Controllers' group as we are not using the controller functionality of the deivce.
Can anyone help on this issue?

I would suggest you to take both the backup ::
Application and appliance backups
Prime Infrastructure creates two types of backups:
Application backups: These contain all Prime Infrastructure application data, but do not include host-specific settings, such as the server hostname and IP address.
Appliance backups: These contain all application data and host-specific settings, including the hostname, IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway.
Note that:
Application and appliance backups can be taken from both virtual and hardware appliances.
Either type of backup can be restored to the same or a new host, as long as the new host has the same hardware and software configuration as the host from which the backup was taken.
You can only restore an application or appliance backup to a host running the same version of the Prime Infrastructure server software as the server from which the backup was taken.
You cannot restore an application backup using the appliance restore command, nor can you restore an appliance backup using the application backup command.

REPLACE statement removing commas from a money convert... I do NOT want it to do this
I am using a case statement to remove the '-' from a negative number and place a '(' there instead.
The negative side of the CASE statement is as follows:
REPLACE(CONVERT(varchar, CONVERT(money, SUM(Begin_Balance)), 1), '-', '(') + ')'
The positive side is:
CONVERT(varchar, CONVERT(money, SUM(Begin_Balance)), 1)
The data output for the positive portion is 100% correct. Here is an example of the output I receive.

So many horrible fundamental errors in one sentence!
1. CASE is an expression, not a statement. An expression returns a scalar value of a known data type, A statement changes the schema.
2. In SQL, all display formatting is done in a presentation layer, never in the database.
3. We use the ANSI/ISO Standard CAST() and not the old Sybase/Unix CONVERT today
4. We use DECIMAL() and not the old Sybase/Unix MONEY. This thing does not work; it fail to do correct math; Google it! Do a data audit and see if you can go to jail for this.
5. SQL is not COBOL. The COBOL language treats all data as strings. STOP DOING THAT IN SQL! This language uses abstraction in the database and the presentation does the job that your old PICTURE clause used to do.

How can we remove items from the VF04 list?
We have a long list of items in VF04 that, for various reasons (some process related, some due to errors), are not to be billed. We have looked at applying filters to the list but there is nothing really suitable to hide these individual documents e.g. we could filter out some dates where none of the items on that date are to be billed but other dates have a mix of items we want to bill and others we don't.
I have done a search of this forum but didn't find a previous topic with a quick and simple method to remove items from the list .
Is there a method, other than billing them or sorting each issue individually, to permanently remove individual documents from the VF04 list?

Download a list of Pending delivers doc form VF04.
Paste the list in T.Code : VL09 (Delivery reversal) and reverse the delivery.
Then go to T.Code: VL06G Select the list of deliveries that has been reversed, select/delete all un- wanted deliveries.
This way you can remove all unwanted pending deliveries forn Billing due list (VF04).
