Removing blank line in smart from nested loop

hi,
          I have been using table in the smart forms for printing purchase order (services) material under a single material  and in my table control I have been using two to three loops on different rows according to the requirements. in the last loop I have been getting blank lines after each row is printing. Can someone one tell me how to control that blank line.
Regards,
Zahid Hameed.

HI ,
              I HAVE TWO LOOPS RUNNING UNDER THE TABLE TOTAL OF THREE UNDER FIRST LOOP I HAVE BEEN PRINTING THE 6 COLS THAT IS "SNO, material description,qty/unit,rate and amount and yes under the material description I HAVE BEEN PRINTING THE LONG TEXT AFTER THIS THE SECOND LOOP STARTS WHICH PRINTS FOR ME THE SUB MATERIAL DESCRIPTION AMOUNT AND UNIT/QTY,AND IN THE THIRD LOOP I HAVE BEEN PRINTING CONDITION NAME UNDER THE MATERIAL DESCRIPTION AND AMOUNT IN THE NEXT FIELD. THIS IS HOW THE WHOLE SCENARIO IS RUNNING THE FIRST TWO LOOPS R WORKING PROPERLY BUT WHEN CONTROL COMES TO THE THIRD LOOP IT PRINT LIKE THIS.
GROSS PRICE
. 1100.000
DISCOUNT
. 100.00-
ABSOLUTE VALUE
                                                                                . 400.00
FOR BOTH THE VALUES I HAVE BEEN USING THE DIFFERENT COLOUMNS BUT AND BOTH THE COLOMNS HAVE   ALOT OF SPACE I HAVE IMPLEMENTED UR SAID CONDITIONS ON MY UPPER LOOP START WORK FINE. BUT THE THIRD ONE HAS THE SAME EFFECT AS I HAVE MENTIONED ABOVE.
REGARDS,
ZAHID HAMEED.

  • How to remove blank lines in the end of list .

    hi,
    in a complex report ,when there are only 20 pages,and linecount is 65(2) ,in the last page only 27 lines are filled and data is completed.then blank lines are printing from 27th line to 63 line.then end of page is triggering.
    so plz help me how to remove the blank lines here and immediately print the endof page.

    Hi,
    will this work for you.
    SET BLANK LINES OFF.
    These statements allow you to specify whether you want to output blank lines or not. Use SET BLANK LINES ON to output blank lines or SET BLANK LINES OFF to suppress them.

  • Data Merge Remove Blank Lines for Images?

    I'm trying to use data merge to generate these labels:
    I have a spreadsheet with 20 or so products. Each product can have up to 6 of about 18 icons. The  problem is, the remove blank lines feature doesn't seem to work for image placeholders. Any ideas how to get around this?
    Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    I think I know what the OP wants to do - that is, where no logo is applicable, then all the logos shift to the left... or right... or remain centered.
    I've tackled this before and have an answer... even have a tutorial for it on my blog. Go to http://colecandoo.wordpress.com/2012/02/19/going-beyond-stencil-letters/ and then go to 4: SCRABBLE LETTERS and have a read of that. There is a PDF to download which has attachments inside of the indesign file and assets used to make the tutorial.
    The key to getting the images to disappear is fourfold.
    First, the image frames have to be inline graphics one next to the other, aligned with whichever text feature is appropriate.
    Second, the picture placement options in the merge have to be "fit frame to content"
    Third, there can't be "blank" records in the csv/txt file when there is no picture. instead, create a "blank.pdf", or download the one i've graciously decided to host on my site: http://colecandoo.files.wordpress.com/2012/08/blank.pdf
    Fourth, the PDFs going into the fields must be using the artbox to get it's measurements. I find that this can be accomplished by placing a PDF image with "show placement options" turned on, then selecting the artbox for the measurement, then clicking ok. until it is told not to, any PDF placed in any file from that point will use that artbox as a reference until it is told not to in the "show placement options".
    Again, my blog has a tutorial and sample to play with. Good luck.

  • Data Merge - Not removing blank lines when more than one in a row

    I am having the same problem as mentioned here: http://forums.adobe.com/message/2109531#2109531  That post is for some reason set as "answered" though the poster said the latest update did not resolve the issue.  Has anyone found a solution to this issue?
    Thanks much,

    I"d suggest you try running the merge WITHOUT removing blank lines, then use  GREP to remove empty paragraphs. There's a pre-written saved query in the list.

  • Regexp_replace to remove blank lines from multi lines in a single field

    Gents. 10g R2.
       with test_tab as
       (select 'x'||chr(10)||'y'||chr(10)||chr(10)||'z' tester from dual)
       select tester from test_tabproduces
    x
    y
    zI require
    x
    y
    zThere's a lot of examples on how to end up with xzy, but I need to maintain the carriage returns, just strip out blank lines.
    I've been trying with posix [:cntrl:] but it doesn't seem to want to work. Question: how to get the desired output?
    If this has been answered on another post, please point me in the right direction and accept my apologies!

    Hi,
    The simplest thing might be to use LTRIM. (or TRIM, if you need to remove them from the end of the string, as well).
    If you want a regular expression:
    SELECT     REGEXP_REPLACE ( tester
                     , '(^|' || CHR (10) || ')' || CHR (10) || '+'
                     , '\1'
    FROM     test_tab
    ;This might be easier to understand if you let x stand for CHR (10):
    SELECT     REGEXP_REPLACE ( tester
                     , '(^|x)x+'
                     , '\1'
    FROM     test_tab
    ;This is easier to understand: \1 is either the beginning of the string or x. When this is followed imeediately by 1 or more extra x's, then replace that whole pattern with \1 (that is, remove the extra x's).

  • How do you remove blank lines from an assignment block?.

    I have used the UI enhancement tool to add fields to an assignment block, but I've ended up with a blank line between the fields. How can I remove this?. There's an option to add new lines and fields but not remove them.
    Anyone.

    Many thanks, that worked fine. I did not think of doing that, but I can see why there would not be a remove line option.

  • Remove blank line after File Content Conversion

    I have a File>Conversion on PI7.0 (SP10).
    It seems to add a blank line. The XML is:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    - <ns0:EPIWCountFile xmlns:ns0="urn:com.somewhere.overthere.nothere">
      <Personal_Area>LU</Personal_Area>
    - <detail>
      <recordCount>17</recordCount>
      </detail>
      </ns0:EPIWCountFile>
    The conversion is done:
    recordset Structure=detail,
    name=detail.fieldseparator    ,
    The output file is
    17
    Hopefully you can see the blank line before the number!???
    I have changed the contexts while processing, and played with other options, but it always adds a blank line at the begin.
    All this file is a count of the number of records processed.  (The personal_area is for a variable name for file/folder creation)
    How can I remove the blank line, as the target system fails due to this anomaly?

    If you are in a development environment, try this
    Make your target structure
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    - <ns0:EPIWCountFile xmlns:ns0="urn:com.somewhere.overthere.nothere">
    - <detail>
    <b><Personal_Area>LU</Personal_Area></b>
    <recordCount>17</recordCount>
    </detail>
    </ns0:EPIWCountFile>
    Content conversion parameter
    detail.fieldFixedLengths 0,2
    detail.fixedLengthTooShortHandling Cut
    P.S: If you need <Pesonal_Area> tag only for File/Folder Name, then why dont you use Adapter specific Identifiers to achieve the same.

  • Collecting data from nested loops

    I have ended up with a program having "case" loop at the top level and 3-4 nested "for" and "while" loops. Now from the inner most loop from each "case", I want to pull out the data, fromat it and then write it in a excel sheet. The problem is that I am not able to pull out the data. Everytime I try to do it, the dimension of array changes due to the nested loops. Is there a better way to do it?
    Thanks,
    Vivek

    It is not possible for us to troubleshoot the code from an image that only show part of it.
    From what I can see, a lot of things don't make much sense. Also please don't run wires backwards (such as the wires from the "How many channels" Control entering the big loop from the right.) This can make reading and debugging a diagram very difficult!
    Let's look at the inner FOR loop on the right: It runs several times, generating 1D arrays each time.
    Leaving this loop, they autoindex into 2d arrays, whitch you reshape into 1D arrays.
    Leaving the next loop some are autoindexed into another 2D array, except for the top one, where you only retain the data from the last iteration. Is that really what you want?
    Now we exit a case strucure, where apparently each case has it's own three outputs, so for each case, One set contains data, but the other two sets generate empty data. About 2/3 of all your data is zero, this is a lot of wasted memory!
    Leaving the big FOR loop, nothing is indexed, meaning you only get sets of 1D and 2D arrays from the last iteration. If you would autoindex, you would get 2D and 3D arrays.
    As you can see, this all make little sense unless we can see the code and some real data. Also, you have not implemented any of my suggestions from above. Why not?

    try using TRIM() to remove any trailing spaces.
    to check for single quote use the chr(39)
    e.g.
    SQL> select 'this is ben''s pen' as string1 from dual;
    STRING1
    this is ben's pen
    SQL> select instr('this is ben''s pen',chr(39)) as string1 from dual;
       STRING1
            12

  • How can I remove vertical lines when printing from Aperture 3.2.2 to Epson Stylus Photo RX690?

    I have been generally quite happy with my access to and use of Aperture 3.2.2 (recently purchased) for import and manipulation of photos and movies, etc.I am using Aperture on a MacBook Pro OSX 10.6.8.
    However I have been unable to print high quality images on Epson premium glossy, glossy or matt paper on my Epson Stylus Photo RX690.
    High quality prints on screen show perfectly in preview, but all prints come out with good and accurate colours, but a series of vertical lines or bands of lines across the photo print.
    Using the Aperture Manual I have checked my settings in Aperture for the printer, for colour and quality of paper etc and they all seem to be correct.
    The Epson Printer is networked with a Toshiba (Vista) laptop which prints perfect results from Picasa and Photoshop with fine colour and no markings.
    I would appreciate any help please.
    Cam Opie

    Thank you Mark
    I thought I had done all the settings .....but no.
    I now have perfect prints. Easy when you know how!!!
    Cheers

  • Data merge not removing blank lines

    InDesign 7.0.4  (CS5)
    Mac OS 10.7.2
    I am merging product data for a simple price list.  Some of the products have images, some do not.  My .csv is formatted to include the image file name and I can create a 20 page, merged document with all of the products.  However, for the products without images, there is a blank image placeholder for records without images.  I want to remove the placeholder and allow the next product to "bump up" and not have so much white space.
    Does this make sense?  Any help is greatly appreciated.  I have crawled the forums and seen a lot of discussion around this, but no solution yet.  Thanks.
    Chris

    Peter,
    Thank you.  I was hoping you would respond.  I see your posts all over the forum.  Thanks again.
    So, to summarize, there is no way to remove the empty frames in my merged document.  (other than manually)
    Is there another way to do this that I may be missing?  Essentially, for the records without an image, I need to remove the white space in the image above (the second record is a good example).
    Thanks again,
    Chris

  • Remove black lines from a tiff image in Photoshop.

    Hi,
    I am developing an automation plugin in Ps. I have images which contains text, border and vertical lines. I need to remove the lines and border from the image. The problem is that the color of text,line and border are same ie. black.
    I tried reading pixel by pixel but couldn't differentiate between the lines and text as both are of same color.
    Can anyone suggest some other way to achive this?
    Thanks in advance.

    Just to clarify the situation for us. You want to remove the black frame and the vertical lines while leaving the black rectangle and the text intact in the image? Is this correct?
    You also mentioned you are attempting to create an "automation plug-in for Photoshop"
    You say you have other images, I'm assuming they are different for the one you posted but you want the "plug-in" to delete the black frame & vertical lines from a number of different images?
    Will the black rectangle always be in the same exact position and will the image dimensions for all the images always be the same?
    As Noel said, you should go to the Photoshop SDK forum. Explain to them what you want to do and that you want to do this on many different images.
    As an afterthought, a Plug-in is different from a Photoshop Action. Perhaps this could be partially done with an Action that allows for a pause to select or change something before continuing the action.
    And no, I don't create Actions myself so I can't help.  Do some reading and see what you can come up with.

  • Extra blank lines in source code

    I have built a website in Dreamweaver CS4 and have a client editing pages in Contribute CS5. Both of us are working on Windows 7, and the site is hosted on Linux. When she makes edits to the page, something is introducing a GAZILLION blank lines in the source code. A typical page for this site is about 380 lines of code. The problem page is now more than 310,000 lines code with 100-200 blank lines between every "real" line of code. What the...?!
    I need to know how to stop this and how to remove the blank lines from the source code using Dreamweaver.
    The page in question lives here: http://www.alexandercitychamber.com/member-category.html
    HELP!!!
    Jeff

    Hello, Diane -
    We've got two separate issues here, but I think we have the solution to both.
    1. How to stop Contribute from adding blank lines in the code, and
    2. How to clean up a GAZILLION lines of blank code in a document.
    First, Number 1. I assume you're working in Dreamweaver. If not, I'm not sure how to guide you. But, when you define a Contribute Site, there is an area to specify administrative roles and permissions. Under each Role, at the bottom, you will see a popup for what kind of server the site is hosted on. The default is Windows. I had to change this to Unix (Linux) to match the hosting of our problem site. Find out what platform your host is using. You will have to specify this under each admistrative Role. After doing this, I had the client make some edits, then I opened the files in Dreamweaver. No new blank lines. I admit, I still have my fingers crossed somewhat.
    Okay, now how to clean up your source code and remove blank lines. A developer friend found this on some forum I had not seen. I don't know where, but I am grateful to the person who wrote it. It didn't get all the blank lines in my files, but I think some of the others, which I removed manually, were probably from the client pasting content in from Word. Here's what to do:
    1. Open the file in Dreamweaver
    2. Click CTRL + F, or go to EDIT > FIND AND REPLACE
    3. Select "Current document" in "Find In" (You can also select the folder if you have multiple files.
    4. Search in "Source Code"
    5. Check the box labeled "Use regular expression"
    6. Type "[\r\n]{2,}" (without quotes) in "Find"
    7. Type "\n" (without quotes) in "Replace"
    8. Press "Replace All"
    The operation chugged for a few minutes with my 301,000-line document. Yours may a take a little longer, but it did work. Good luck!

  • Sharepoint Designer 2010 inserting blank lines

    Sharepoint Designer (SP1) is intermittently inserting hundreds of thousands of rows as I am working with an .aspx document. This bug, which was first present in 2007, has been reported by many people over the years; it seems to remain in 2010.
    Does anyone have a solution for this issue? Is there something in my page, which contains a bunch of xsltlistviews, that could be blowing up this file?
    Thanks.

    All --
    FYI, here is a decent workaround to the problem of SPD 2013 (SharePoint Designer 2013) inserting blank lines into pages.
    Here are the steps.
    - Get CodeMaid (free) or similar coding-tool plugin/extension for Visual Studio 2013 (VS 2013) that can remove blank lines.
    - Check out the file in SPD.
    - From SPD, right click the file and choose open with, then choose VS.
    - Run CodeMaid clean processing in VS, which will remove multiple consecutive blank lines.
    - Save file in VS.
    - Close file in VS.
    - Check in file with SPD.
    - Done.
    It may seem like a lot of steps, and it is, and it odd the MS does not simply use the same code editor base for both VS and SPD, but using this workaround is actually pretty quick and easy, and easier still if you use the VS editor to code the files (instead
    of the SPD editor) because the VS has way better code-folding and code-completion and code-digging anyway.
    Just thought I would mention a (fairly) quick and easy way to workaround this SPD shortcoming.
    HTH.
    Thanks.

  • CS3 - Auto Format doesn't compact blank lines?

    In Flash 8 on OS X, using Auto Format used to remove blank
    lines. I can't seem to find a way to enable this in CS3. Is it
    possible?

    Additional three thoughts: First, is there anything I can do while still in MS Word to enable Acrobat to see the check boxes easier? Different font? Same font, but different "character"? Etc. Second, if there is no way the check boxes can be recognized and converted, is there a way to do an after-the-fact search-and-replace, searching for the check boxes and replacing them with clickable boxes. By the way, I don't need to capture data; I just need for people to be able to fill out the form on their computer and print it. Third, if Acrobat can't do this, is there third-party form software that recognizes check boxes?
