Removing component grid?

So i made a round component, a vaccum tube socket, in Ultiboard. But theres a square grid attached to the component that dont let any other componets to be placed inside of it. I want to be able to place componets closer to the tube socket but the grid just wont let that happen. What to do? Can i get rid of the grid or is there something that can be adjusted so the grid let components to be placed inside of it?

Hi there,
One thing that you can do is to turn off part shoving. To do this, you should:
Open your design in Ultiboard
Click Design>>Part Shoving
Next time you move a component, any component that is in its way will not be moved. The drawback is, you will get more DRC errors.
You can move the resistors inside the square boundary of the tube. This will cause Ultiboard to generate a DRC error. For most components in our database, which are rectangular, this would be correct, but in your case, this error should be manually verified and ignored. Please manually check that your resistor is indeed not overlapping the tube and you should be good to go.
Hope that helps.

  • How do I remove the grid map over an object when working in 3D?

    I am working through Adobe's Photoshop CS6 Classroom in a Book, Section 12 - Working with 3D Images.
    So far I have found it all fairly straight forward and very useful.
    I am at a point where I am applying textures and materials to my objects, however I cannot seem to find out how to remove the grid that has mapped itself over the objects. I have included a image to illustrate.
    Can anyone help?
    What is the command that will hide these grid maps?!
    Thanks so much in advance.

    I went into YouTube as well, and indeed: It didn't remove the white background.
    Then I went into Photoshop and was surprised: It was able to remove the white background by just playing around with the Magic Wand Tool. I also went into other programmes similar to Photoshop and was excited that there were connatural ways to remove the white background. Finally, I went into Illustrator and observed that the clipping path route worked. Even in CS6.
    Not sure why it didn't work for you.

  • How do I remove the grid in view permanently??

    I can't remove the grid in view of CS5.  It comes up on every photo I open though I uncheckk it it each time.  How do I

    Usually if you open an image into photoshop, turn off the grid and then close photoshop, that will keep the grid off.
    Close photoshop by using File>Exit or Photoshop>Quit Photoshop

    how to remove minor grids on waveform graph

    Right-click on the graph and choose X Scale >> Format. In the Grid Options area, click on the left icon and choose the middle icon the pops-up. This shows only the major grid lines. The left choice shows no grid lines and the right choice shows both sets of grid lines. Now, do the same for the Y Scale.

    Make sure that 10gCRS is good.. If everyhing is all right with 10g.. you can probably bounce it and verify again.. if its all good, you can uninstall the grid home using OUI.

  • Reposition buttons in add/remove component?

    Could anyone tell me if it is possible to reposition the buttons in an add/remove component?
    If you want the add all and remove all buttons they are grouped with either add or remove. I need to know if you can move them so that you have Add and Remove, then Add All, Remove All??
    Thanks,

    Have you looked into just using setStyle() for a button on the page?
    You can generate a string containing the position, visibility and other attributes of a component and then use setStyle() to set the attributes in the prerender phase.
    Just set the style string as a session bean parameter and alter it where ever you need to.
    I don't use add/remove components, but just standard components where I set the render and style properties accordingly to display and position them.

  • Jpanel add/remove component redraw problem

    I have a JPanel using a GridLayout for a layout manager. The Jpanel has 2 components. When i remove one component ( using remove(Component comp) method) , and call updateUI on the JPanel, it removes the component but retains the original size. i.e It does not shrink to the size of the one component it has.
    How can the required effect be achieved?
    Thanks
    -sduhra

    I have a JPanel using a GridLayout for a layout manager.Well you have a structure like:
    parentPanel
        GridLayoutPanel
            component1
            component2Well it depends on the layout manager of the parent panel. If, for example the parentPane is using a BorderLayout, then the GridLayoutPanel will always be resized to the maximum space available and therefore the remaining component will also be resized.
    So you could use a FlowLayout in the parentPanel and it will respect the size of the GridLayoutPanel. So you resulting code would be something like:
    gridLayoutPanel.remove(...);
    parentPanel.revalidatge();

  • Table component grid color option

    hello,
    i'm curious what this option is suppose to do. i have the show grid option checked, and change the color on the grid color option. when i view the grid, i don't see any difference, so i don't know what this option is suppose to change.
    any help would be greatly appreciated.
    thank you
    tracy

    Column width and background can be set in the Excel range and then bind table component to display the range.
    If you change the Column width of background in the Excel range, you need to rebind the display range to update the format.
    Hope this can help!

  • Remove component from JFrame with absolute layout

    I have a JFrame and JPanel inside the JFrame with absolute layout. I wanted to have a button when clicked the JPanel will be removed. I called jFrame.remove(jPanel);
    jFrame.repaint();
    jFrame.validate();
    I can't call jFrame.revalidate(), since JFrame doesn't provide revalidate() method. I try everything, but I can't get that JPanel removed. Could somebody help me please. Oh I tried jPanel.setBounds( 0,0,0,0); and the jPanel is disappeared, but I don't think this is the right solution. Is my problem with the absolute layout?

    The problem is I have a JPanel with a character and an apple in it. I could not use any other layout, I have to use absolute layout, because I the user can control the character but arrow keys. And the character moves in pixels.

                        mainFrame.repaint();
              controlPanel.add( attackButton );Like I said before, I tried validate, repaint and setBounds to all 0s. Nothing happened with the Room class. How do I delete that Room.
    Thank you so much.

  • How to remove the grid at the time of printing?

    I could not find where to disable printing of the grid. The printer prints it constantly.

    Hi SA,
    Numbers does not have a print gridlines/don't print gridlines option.
    In Numbers, there are Cell Borders. They are not the same as Gridlines in Excel. In Numbers, you must set the Cell Borders to your liking.
    Here is a screen shot of Table 1 with 1 pt gridlines. Those gridlines will print.
    Table 1-1 (selected in the Sheets Pane on the left of this screen shot) has a grid that is visible to help you while you are working on it:
    I selected Table 1-1 (the square 'handles' show that the whole Table is selected)
    and then in Inspector > Graphic > Stroke > None.
    Here is a screen shot of Sheet 1 after File > Print...
    Table 1 (1 pt cell borders) will print with borders. Table 1-1 (Stroke > None) will not print with Cell borders.
    Regards,
    Ian.
