Removing search directory by name dynamically

I have been using the SearchDirectories.Insert method to add search directories in TestStand dynamically.
Now I am required to remove a search directory dynamically. The problem is that the SearchDirectories.Remove method lets me specify which directory to remove by inputting the index in the list instead of the name/path of the search directory. This is a problem because I will not know at which position is the directory I want to remove in the list.
Any suggestions??

Thanks for your reply. I did not think about this. I started implementing your solution by first retrieving the number of directories using the Count property of SearchDirectories, then calling the Item property for each index, then accessing the Path property for each item. I somehow don't see the path getting returned and I can't figure out why.
I have isolated that code into this VI. Can you look at this and tell me what I am doing wrong?

Configuring dynamically loaded VI's search directory for both 64 and 32bit

Background:
I have an application that has been developed, built in LV2012 32bit. It needs to run on a 32bit and 64bit machine (Win7, I understand the application itself will only ever be 32bit, but it needs to run in both environments). The application dynamically loads a bunch of VI's which are raw vi's on disk (think just copy directory of files over from developer machine to the target machine that already has a exe running -- and just a copy, not a build of any sort). All of these dyanamically loaded vi's at some point reference vi.lib, so I have a few things I need to do to the application to get it to work
a) within the .ini file for the running exe viSearchPath=......C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\LabVIEW 2012\<<bunch of directories>>\*
b) within the VI object cache directory, I have a lvDistPath.txt file that includes C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\LabVIEW 2012
This works just fine for when I deploy these files and run the application on a 64bit version of Win7. However, when I try to run the application on a 32bit version of Win7, it breaks -- LabVIEW is installed in C:\Program Files\.... (no (x86)).
I am stuck with the dynamic loading architecture we have, and I can't start making changes to my code because it's not my code that is specifying where to find the files -- it's LabVIEW's internal searching algorithm.
What can I do (short of managing two separate .ini & .txt configuration files, one set each for x86 and 64bit and managing two separate installers) to get around this problem?

It sounds like you really don't have a problem with a 32 bit app vs. a 64 bit app. It sounds like a problem with file paths being different on a 32 bit app on 32 bit windows vs. a 32 bit app on 64 bit windows.
Two things you could do.
1. (Not sure this would work.) Put 2 paths in the search directory, one for c:\program files path for 32 bit windows, and one for c:\program files (x86) for 64 bit windows. One or the other will exist. I don't know if something will hangup if it searches the other path that doesn't exist.
2. Since you are dynamically loading the VI's, you should specify the path when you are dynamically loading them rather than having LV search for them. There is a function called Get System Info in the File I/O >> File Constants palette that will return the path to the Program Files folder for you environment so that you can build on that to get to your dynamic VI path.

Deletion of Skype accounts/ removal from directory...

How to generate file name dynamically in receiver FIle adapter? Please help

Dear Experts,
   I have a scenario where I need to generate output file with the name dynamically pulled from the XI payload.
   In receiver File communication channel I don't see any option where we can specify the XML path for the file name.
   For example:
   If my inbound XML structure (inbound interface) is like below:
   <filename>file123.txt</filename>
   <RootNode>
         <Element1>Product123</Element1>
   <RootNode>
From this I need to pick the filename value and generate the output file with the same value.
How can I achieve this? Please help!

You can use DynamicConfiguration class for this.
You need to write UDF for this and with input of filename you want to set and map this UDF to the top level node.

How to externalize JNDI name (setting JNDI name dynamically)

In adapters such as ftp, database, we have to specify the jndi name. This binds the adapter to a particular jndi name. While this is certainly better than binding the adapter directly to the physical resource, I was wondering if it is possible to have even more flexibililty- setting the jndi name dynamically.
Basically my requirement is to develop a web service that reads a file from a FTP location. I know I can externalize the filename and directory, but I am wondering how to set the ftp location dynamically.
http://darwin-it.blogspot.com/2008/03/configuration-of-ftp-synchronous-get.html provides the answer if I wish to set the hostname, portname, user id and password.
But I want to setup the FTP adapter in AS, and then use that JNDI name in my service. Is it possible...I am using SOA 10.1.3.3

The example shows how to use the header properties in file adapter, and it sets the filename and directory elements dynamically....this I already knew.

Search by column name

I have a table with search and display boxes at the top created by APEX.
I added another dropdown box for the search to do the search by column names.
This dropdown is displaying numbers instead of column names.
How would do I make this change so that the search can be done by a specific column?

Click the arrow at the magnifier glass and you can select a specific column. Or click on the heading of a column to do the filtering there too.
Or you can remove the "Allow Users To: Filter" checkbox from all the columns where you don't want to support search. If there is just one left only that one should be search with the general search field.

Passing file name dynamically to sql loader ctl file

Hi,
I am new to scripting and I have a complex requirement involving writing a script.
Requierment:
I need to upload a CSV file from a FTP server into oracle table using SQL Loader. The file name resembles like APF0912312359.csv represents 31-DEC-2009 23:59 and there will be multiple files in same day indicated by differnt timestamp as its filename. Once I load a file using SQL loader, I need to move the file to another directory for archival.
Since the sql loader ctl file has a fixed file name, I would like to know how I can pass the file name dynamically to ctl file to load a new file every time it runs.
Any help is greatly appreciated..

I agree with Pradeep in regards to declaring the file names on the command line. However, I do have a concern regarding presenting the password on the command line as any user that can issue a ps (assuming Unix ~= Linux here) would be able to read it while the sqlldr command is running.
Unfortunately, you may not always have the option of declaring the files on the command line. I was recently challenged with this in a Windows 2003 Server environment running SQL*Loader: Release 10.2.0.1.0. In this environment I found that I am able to set a variable file name in a calling batch file and use that value in the control file successfully. Just to demonstrate the approach:
Batch file:
set IN_FILE=’c:\inbound\load_me.txt’
sqlldr user/pswd@db PARFILE=’c:\parameters.txt’
Parameter file:
errors=500000
rows=50000
control=%CTL_FILE%
bad=%BAD_FILE%
discard=%DSC_FILE%
log=%LOG_FILE%
Control file:
LOAD DATA
INFILE ‘%IN_FILE%’
INSERT
INTO TABLE table_to_be_loaded
I’m really interested to see if this would work on Unix.

I've tried ALL suggestions in my attempt to remove search:conduit, but nothing works. HELP!!!!

I've been plagued with the search engine by the name of "search:conduit" and can NOT get rid of it.
I've gone into Firefox about:config, and changed the search engine to www.google.com, then went into
Options General Page and reset that to www.google.com. Closed out of Firefox, reopened it, and still have
the 'search:conduit' staring back at me.
I've gone thru Control Panel's -Add/Remove programs, and thats been cleaned up.
I guess I'll try deleting Firefox next, unless someone in-the-know speaks up (PLEASE!!!).
Thats about it.

I guess I spoke too soon, I shut down last night, and this morning when I
started up with a fresh boot, that dang 'Search:Conduit' was back.
I've gone through all 3 steps again, so I'll find out tomorrow if I've made any head-way.
The 3 Steps Are:
1. Placing 'Google' in the field under INTERNET OPTIONS in CONTROL PANEL
2. Placing 'Google' in the HOME PAGE FIELD at TOOLS-OPTIONS-GENERAL
3. Removing 'Search:Conduit' from the prefs.js file.

         INSERT INTO Test_AP VALUES t_tab(i);Now I want to put the table name dynamically+. For that I have added one query and modify above code as follow:-
I have already declare dml_str varchar2(800) in declaration part.
Query is as follows:-

Put the assignment before FORALL.
FORALL only accepts one subsequent DML statement (static or dynamic SQL) :
dml_str := 'INSERT INTO ' || tab_name || ' values :vals';
FORALL i IN t_tab.first .. t_tab.last
EXECUTE IMMEDIATE dml_str USING t_tab(i);

Sharepoint 2013 - Search for link names on a single page

I am messing around with SP13 and trying to get my search result web part to only search for link names and display all results.
I have created the search source to point at the sub site. If I search for part of a link name it will list all links in one long row as a single result.
Example: One single page contains all links. Each link points to a .aspx page. The search source is pointing at this page and it can display results but only as a single result containing all links as one line of text.
Say I have 1000+ links of which 50 has names such as Link1-Item1-Basket1, Link1-Item1-Basket2 up to Link1-Item1-Basket50.
When I search for Link1-Item1 I would like my search results to display 50 results as 50 individual links.
Is this possible?

Yes, you can format the search results as you expected. But you have to create a custom display template to format your results such as extract the links from each results and display it as separate link.
Once display template created you have to map the display template to your search results web part.

ok, I try first approach in print4.vi, but Labview return an error (view jpg); if I cut From, To controls, the VI print all pages. The same things happen also if I trasform I32 in Variant.
I don't try second approach, because at this time I have only one report
I try also with VB macro: this is better (print3.vi) but.....if I use:

How can I have the search results show the entire album (with just the searched for name highlighted)? For instance, I'm wanting to play an album with a particular track on it or I'm searching for albums that include that track. iTunes incorrectly assumes that all I'm after is that one track and then incorrectly displays the album as if there is only one ttrack on it. This is a bonkers default setting. Can I change this?

Click the search magnifying glass and uncheck "Search entire library".
Type in the name of the track.
Click the album of interest to show tracks.
Select the track.
Press the X in the search box to clear the search.
Double click the track you want to start playing first.

I'm afraid you'll have to get the phone serviced, dropping the phone must have damaged additional parts inside the phone.
But Apple will not service the phone anymore, opening the phone and replacing the battery should only be done by authorized personal, not by users.
You'll have to look for a 3rd party repair shop and see if they can fix this, sorry.
